Alone (1)
Sharp iron nails were driven through flesh and bone
as upon the cross He hung alone.
'My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me? '
He cried alone upon that tree.
He was attacked by Satan's bulls of Bashan
when alone He bore the sins of man.
While crowds stood staring at the gruesome sight
He hung alone to make things right.
As the sun was darkened and refused to shine
He died alone for these sins of mine.
Smitten of His God and forsaken was He
as He hung all alone there for me.
For He was wounded for me and His blood shed
when He hung alone there in my stead.
'My Lord and my God what love is this? ' I cried
'That for me alone You have died.'

Ode to a Cross
Ode to a Cross
By: Adam M. Snow
Made from an old dogwood tree,
betrayed for all the world to see.
With three nails upon the cross,
Satan bows his head emboss.
The blood drips, staining splinters,
pours out upon all ranters.
Your arms stretched wide, your feet bounded,
all's frozen, the thunder sounded.
To the heavens you cried out,
praying for all of us no doubt.
Stained by blood is that old tree,
you were hung and died for me.

Red Ambulance
so that ambulance just went by
and if you were high
the flashing lights would be a show
red as the blood she spilled
red enough to let her go
she filled in the outlines with her nails
just as red as she
then there was a red circus, for sale
as she red as she would be
and the fire was just so
that the red blazes burned her eyes
i think it was the red that let her go
like the red from her eyes after a person cries
so red, so real, from wrist to lights
so red, everytime, even in the night
shes like the savior
or the sacrafice
her nails, or the nails of the cross?
was it it the cross on the red ambulance
with the red lights?
or was it the cross of the savior, the sacrifice
was it all red every night?
is this a remake or the living
from the wrists
on the nails
where the lights
on the ambulance
with the cross
of the savior
with the nails
on the wrists
in the ambulance
with the cross
of the savior
red from the nails
on the wrists
that lay in the ambulance
the flashing red lights
near the cross
of the savior?
the sacrifice?
in the wrists
red with nails
on the cross
of savior or the saved?
ambulance
or cross
the wrists
the nails
the lights
the ambulance
the cross
the savior
with all the red

Today... 'God Manifest In The Flesh
Almighty God manifest in the flesh is He
Fullness of the Godhead dwelling bodily.
He took on flesh and blood to become a man
as part of our Salvation's wonderful plan.
The immortal God took on humanity
limiting Himself to human frailty.
He who flung stars and galaxies into space
came to live and dwell amongst the human race.
The reason God was manifest in the Flesh
was to pay the ransom for my sinfulness.
For the feet that walked where no other man could
were nailed to a rough and rugged cross of wood.
The voice that commanded the great storm to cease
cried out 'Father forgive them' and bought me peace.
The outstretched hands of the Lord Jesus Christ
were pierced by those cruel nails of sacrifice.
That my Lord and God should die for me
is an incomprehensible mystery.
For when Jesus wept it was God that cried
and there upon the cross Jehovah died.
Beyond understanding is this Godliness
God the Almighty manifest in the flesh.
For in Jesus Christ I see the Godhead dwell.
He is the Lord, my God and Immanuel.
(see also the additional information in the Poet's notes box)
Here I am - send me
There before the beginning, 'Send me', You said
choosing to go the cross and die in my stead.
There in the garden great drops of blood you sweat
so determined to follow the pathway set.
'Father, not My will but Yours be done' You said.
Knowing all things before You still went ahead.
Carrying Your cross up Golgotha's hill You went
and there as a sacrifice Your life was spent.
For You climbed that steep hill to die in my stead.
On the cross of Calvary Your blood was shed.
Whilst hanging on that tree You took all the blame
and paid the penalty for my sinful shame.
'My God, why have You forsaken me', You cried
and then You laid down Your life for me and died.
It was for my transgressions that You hung there
and upon Your body my punishment bear.
Willingly You bore my sin and paid the price.
Willingly You gave Your life in sacrifice.
Willingly taking my infirmities
Willing bearing my iniquities.
Written after reading Hebrews 10: 7
Eli Eli lama sabacthani
I
If I could go back in time to a hill
where a rough cross stands
and look at the scene
where the creator of the world perishes,
I would have understood
how it’s to hang innocent for everybody’s sins
and for a god to be captured
in human flesh.
II
If I could go back in time to a hill
where a rough cross stands
I would have known
how His exclamation of fear
“Eli Eli lama sabacthani”
really hits through flesh
and how it feels to be forsaken by God and man
and what it means
not to account those that persecuted him.

Deep Darkness Spread Throughout All The Land
Deep darkness spread throughout all the land that day
as men nailed You to the cross and had their way.
There full atonement for all mankind was made
as our sins upon the Lamb of God were laid.
Sin divided the Triune Godhead that day
for as You hung there The Father looked away.
'My God, My God, why have you forsaken me? '
You cried when hanging on that accursèd tree.
Alone there upon the cross You bore my shame
and beneath the wrath of God took all the blame.
Then into the Holiest place You ventured
drawing back the great curtain as You entered.
There in that inner sanctuary You stood
And cleansed this poor sinner with Your precious blood.
A never to be repeated sacrifice
as my scapegoat by Your death You paid the price.
From the top to bottom the curtain was torn.
The penalty for sin in Your body borne
Now with reverence and awe I can approach
the throne of God without rebuke or reproach.
Written as prelude to Easter and based on Matthew 27: 45-56
You Chose To Climb The Hill And Not Turn Back
'Father, not My will, but Yours be done, ' You said
then climbed the hill to the cross Your blood to shed.
There You chose to bear my pain and wear my shame
even though You were innocent and not to blame.
A load much heavier than the cross You bore
piercing deeper than the crown of thorns You wore.
You were smitten of God and forsaken too
when my sin came between the Father and You.
There lash by lash the price for each sin You paid
as all my guilt and shame upon You was laid.
Then 'It is finished, ' in victory You cried
as You bowed Your head upon that cross and died.
Deep waves of love and mercy flowed from the cross
as Your blood was poured out all my sins to wash.
They're gone as far as the East is from the West
and I'm now forgiven and so very blessed.
Because You hung there on the cross in my stead.
Because Your blood was upon the altar shed.
Because of You, Lord Jesus I can go free.
Because You chose the road to Calvary.
To Avoid Rejection
take a part of your
pelvic bone
close your eyes
let someone take
the flesh
and bone to bone
of your own bone
let it grow
smoothly
to get rid of the pain
and start anew
bone to bone
of my contention
following yours
nothing
opposing
blood following
the flow

Ringfinger
Well youve got me working so heard lately.
Working my hands until they bleed.
If I was twice the man I could be.
Id still be half of what you need
Still you lead me and I follow
Anything you ask you know Ill do.
But this one act of consecration is what I ask of you
Ringfinger.
Promise carved in stone.
Deeper than the sea.
Ringfinger.
Sever flesh and bone
And offer it to me.
You just left me nailed here.
Hanging like jesus on the cross.
Ill be dying for your sins.
And aiding to the cause.
Ringfinger.
Promise carved in stone.
Deeper than the sea.
Ringfinger.
Sever flesh and bone
And offer it to me.
Wrap my eyes in bandages.
Confessions I see through.
I get everything I want.
When I get part of you.
Ringfinger.
Promise carved in stone.
Deeper than the sea.
Ringfinger.
Sever flesh and bone
And offer it to me.
Ringfinger.
Promise carved in stone.
Deeper than the sea.
Ringfinger.
Devils flesh and bone
Do something for me.

Good Friday...
Behold the wood that went to make the cross
That bore the Saviour Lord, King Jesus Christ:
The holy cross at Calvary on which
Was hung, the Redeemer of mankind race!
That man was only Son of God in flesh,
Who suffered, shed His precious blood as price
For every sin of everyone on earth,
Of Adam and of Eve in lineage!
It wasn’t about the cross that Jesus bore;
It was about the One who hung on it!
He came to earth as Mary’s baby boy,
And gave to men the Good News, peace and joy!
The cross of wood assumed significance
When Jesus died upon it for our sins;
The sacrifice supreme was love of God
For creature man of clay whom He had made!
When Christ resurrected upon third day,
And won o’er death and satan for all times,
The holy cross became the weapon sole
That scares away the devils back to hell!
The cross became the symbol of Christians,
Reminding man of Salvation for all,
As Christ had paid the price on our behalf,
And turned to be the Truth, Light, Way to God!
The holy cross beckons each one of us
To take up each one’s cross and follow Christ;
It is the only hope for all mankind
As life on earth becomes so meaningful!
God’s Love was born on Christmas day as Christ!
Man’s sins nailed Him to death upon the cross!
Christ’s obeisance to Father freed mankind
If repentant, from Fiery Pit of hell!
Reflect on passions Christ had undergone,
Before He died upon the holy cross;
Follow His teachings and precepts for man;
Heaven is nigh for sinners penitent!

The Road to Emmaus
Did you ever wonder why,
As you hung upon the cross,
we weren’t ready for your words?
if we were worth the price it cost?
At a place they call the skull,
hung upon a tree to die,
With nails that pierce your wrists and feet,
and dying thieves on either side.
“Others he did save,
but he cannot save himself”
Executed like a slave,
By a Rome malignant to itself.
As you spoke your final words
And then hung your head to die
Did you fear you were heard only
By the sparrows and the sky?
When the Pilus pierced your side
And the water flowed like blood
Had you already breathed your last?
Had darkness overcome the sun?
Do you miss the wine and water?
The perfume in the Magdalene’s hair?
When I journey to Emmaus,
Will you accompany me there?
Our hearts will burn like fire
For love of him thought dead
When again we recognize you,
In the breaking of the bread.

The Bone Of The House
in the house
he is a bone,
not a flesh on
the side
dogs outside are
waiting
he is not the
kind of bone
that any dog
wants,
the useless bone
in the kitchen
mere shadow of
the soup-stock
left-over of the flesh
inside the garbage can.

You Hung Me
It's dead, it'd dead you killed it all
you fucked me over, you watched me fall
the life you sucked right out of me
dead you hung me from tree.
My blood spills out onto the ground
it screams, it cries without a sound
there is no victory here for me
dead you hung me from a tree.
You can run but you can't hide
you'll try to say it's suicide
torn apart for all to see
dead you hung me from a tree.
I'll prove to you your world is wrong
your power has gone on way to long
watch my body swing so free
dead you hung me from a tree.
Free from you I find my peace
in a grave that's six feet deep
the cage unlocked, I found the key
dead you hung me from a tree.

Three Lowly Nails
Three lowly nails,
Changed the world for you and me
Three lowly nails,
Were used to attach Jesus to a tree
Three lowly nails,
In each hand and through His feet
Three lowly nails,
Set His people free
Three lowly nails,
Gave us a King for eternity

They Hung Him On A Cross (Demo, 1989)
They hung him of a cross
They hung him on a cross
They hung him on a cross for me
One day when I lost
They hung him on a cross
They hung him on a cross for me
They whooped him up the hill
They whooped him up the hill
They whooped him up the hill for me
One day when I lost
They hung him on a cross
They whooped him up the hill for me
He never said among them would
They never said among them would
They never said among them would for me
One day when I lost
They hung him on a cross
They hung him on a cross for me
They hurt him in the side
They bit him in the side
They bit him in the side for me
One day when I lost
They hung him on a cross
They hung him on a cross for me
They hung his head and died
They hung his head and died
He hung his head and died for me
One day when I lost
They hung him on a cross
They hung him on a cross for me

Nails
We're the Nails
Unlike all the rest
That stick up from the ground
And they'll never hammer us down
We're the nails
Driven into the cross
Driven in as reminders
That their self-destructive system can only
Violate the world.
Violate the world.
Violate the world.
Their self destructive system can only
Violate the world.
Violate the world.
Violate the world.
But they'll never hammer us down.

The Lord, my God was crucified
"My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me? "
You cried as You suffered in deep agony.
The unity of the Godhead divided
as atonement for my sin was provided.
There, "Father forgive them, " from the cross You cried
words of intercession from The Crucified
and for my sins You paid that awful price
by Your death upon the cross and sacrifice.
"Into Your hands I commend My soul, " You said
closed Your eyes and entered the realms of the dead.
Your love in all its fullness flowed out to me
Lord, when You laid down Your life at Calvary.
(See also "It is finished")
Fear Of GODS Unknown
Why do we fear death? When it's the only guarantee in life!
Why do new fear death? When it takes you from your struggles and strife.
CHRIST went thru pains that we can never relate to
Knowing that he was going to be nailed to the cross!
What would you do!
Feeling those nails being driven thru your hands and feet
And knowing soon your father you would meet.
Just a little cut and we feel the pain in our heart
Imagine the nails tearing your flesh apart.
In this material world we feel many aches and pains
And many different emotions
But in GODS world there is only love and devotion.
So why do we fear to go where we have never thread before
When we don't know what's on the other shore.
Do we prefer to walk in darkness stumbling along the way
Or would we prefer to see the light that leads us to the day.
Death is just a door that you walk thru to get to the other side
Where you will see all of GODS beauties
On that you can rely.
So let ST. PETER take your hand and lead you thru that gate
Before the devil realizes - he got there much too late.

So You Believe
So you even believe
that Jesus died
on the Cross for you?
Even Satan Demons
believe Christ died
on the Cross for you
Satan Demons
evil manifest
were witnesses
to the crucifixion
could not believe
Jesus loved mortal
sinful prideful you
was mere flesh prepared
to suffer all our sins
as our sacrificial lamb
so that you may be
washed clean of all sins.
This life sufferings
is but a heart beat
but a moment in time
God gave his only begotten son
because God loved you so much
God prepared eternity salvation.
