in Oil we trust...
Concrete claws challenge the sky
Sacred stairs towards a glazed heaven.
Glass and steel that shimmers
Like statues of gods standing high.
Black liquor leached from nearby sand
To quench the parched prayers of bankers
The earth’s entrails full of hell’s holes
That smote deep gashes across arid land
We worship this iconoclastic creation.
But these aren’t built solid on rock
But are parables of straw on desert sand,
An idolatry of oil production.
Comes the storm and the clouds turn dark
When financial ashes blows across
There’s no comfort in Fibonacci charts
No salvation in a concrete ark

Concrete & Steel
Hard and cold, like a street of gold,
Its easy to find but so hard to hold.
Smooth and strong but it wont last long,
When the rust sets in, shell be good as gone!
Concrete, concrete and steel.
Its like concrete.
Hey baby, whats the deal?
A heart of stone make you feel alone,
But what can you do when your hand is blown?
Hard as ice, its like tumblin dice,
Before you fall for her boy, you better think twice.
Concrete, concrete and steel.
Its like concrete.
Hey baby, whats the deal?
Dark as night, diamond bright,
Never seen such a strange delight.
Slick as glass, and just as fast,
Youll feel the pain, but it wont last.

Killing Fountains
I see rockets in the desert sky
I see flesh and blood and I dont know why
Ive seen fathers and Ive seen them die
Ive seen mothers and their daughters cry
Surprised soldiers with holes in their heads
Smiling presidents sweating in their beds
Dreaming of the land where the black gold flows
Where the sun always shines
And the desert wind blows
Its always one step forward and two steps back
They stumble and fall and break their necks
In the land of the killing fountains
Once it was gods land in the middle-ages
Now blue helmets try to stop the rage
While rocket launchers burn the sand
Thats what you call the promised land
Its always one step forward and two steps back
They stumble and fall and break their necks
In the land of the killing fountains
You can kill bodies but you cant kill religion
This is the truth and peace is the fiction
In the land of the killing fountains
And millions die with a silent smile
Seven days a week and the years pass by
In the land of the killing fountains
Where the black gold flows
Where the desert wind blows

Trekking Biblical Lands
I trek the Biblical valleys and hills
Seeking salvation in desiccated dust
Ambling along arid ancient routes
Holy signs being the holes in my boots.
I look for the light of that shaken foil
But it is a shine of the shimmering sun
The scriptures shift like sand under feet
And exhausted I fall in the desert heat.
In the land of Sodom and Gomorrah
Where angels came and vice got its Lot
Under a shady Jujube we come to halt
I eat my lunch with a pinch of salt
The Promised Land is the path of pilgrims
But I travel on the tracks of an ass
I climb not the tree of life or to paradise
But to the Exodus of a cola and ice.
In harsh parched garden of my mind
The vision I see is the cool pool of Eden
There the naked Adam and Eve embrace
Their souls entwine and naked hearts race
So fly my darling to the unseeable horizon
Blow between the bones of prophets
For here on earth and firmaments above
The only grace of the gift of God is Love.
Concrete Girl
Bleeding thoughts.
Cracking boulder.
Don't fall over.
Fake your laughter.
Burn the tear.
Sing it louder.
Twist and shout.
Way up here,
We stand on shoulders,
Growing colder.
Laugh or cry.
I won't mind.
Sing it louder.
Twist and shout.
Immovable shadows.
The concrete girl.
They'll rock your world to nothing.
And they're swimming around again, again.
And they're swimming around
The concrete girl.
Catch your breath like a four-leaf clover.
Hand it over.
Scream to no one.
Take your time.
Sing it louder.
Twist and shout.
Nothing to run from is worse than something,
And all your fears of nothing.
And they're swimming around again, again.
And they're swimming around
The concrete girl.
Concrete girl, don't fall down
In this broken world around you.
Concrete girl, don't fall down.
Don't fall down, my concrete girl.
Don't stop thinking.
Don't stop feeling now.
One step away from where we were,
And one step back to nothing.
And we're standing on top of our hopes and fears,
And we're fighting for words now, concrete girl.
And we're swimming around again, again.
And we're swimming around now,
Concrete girl.
Concrete girl, don't fall down in this broken world around you.
Concrete girl, don't fall down.
Don't fall down, my concrete girl.
Concrete girl, don't fall down in this concrete world around you.
Concrete girl, don't fall down.
Don't break down, my concrete girl.

Brimstone... ' (or A Cryptic-Cremation)
Ashes to Ashes
Dust to Dust
Flesh and Blood
Wood and Mud
Sun and Moon
Craters and Crust
Flames to Ashes
Smoke to Dust
Ape and Man
Heart and Brain
Glass and Sand
Abel and Cain
Spend this Space
On this Earth
Cutting Down
Another’s Worth
So Much Hate
On World and Planet
Trying to Paint
And Stain Pearls and Granite
‘Til, Ashes to Ashes
Dust to Dust
Stop Thinking, ’ Iron Them ’
Start Thinking, ‘ Wash Us ’
Fire On Mountain
Flows Volcanic Ash
Fire and Sand
Equals House of Glass
Dirt On Fire
Smother ‘Fore Long
And Fire and Rock
Equals Brimstone

Adapting To Global Warming Surge Storms
the earth is a degree warmly globally
an entire degree warmer in a century
meaning earth packs in more energy
into the atmosphere
meaning more evaporation
water in rain clouds
global warming means weather shifts
more rain faster harder causing floods
less rain more deserts causing famine
sea levels are coastline rising
glaciers ice caps are melting
means more frequent storm surges
so why build on frontline beaches coastline sand?
storms wind wave surges will inundate this land
move far inland rebuild on the solid rock mass!
won't take my advice fine
don't move stay storm blind
these words come to mind
'Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine
and puts them into practice is like a wise man
who built his house on the rock. The rain came down,
the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat
against that house; yet it did not fall, because it
had its foundation on the rock. But everyone
who hears these words of mine and does not put
them into practice is like a foolish man who built
his house on sand. The rain came down,
the streams rose, and the winds
blew and beat against that house,
and it fell with a great crash.' Matthew 7: 24-27.

A Hell In A Concrete Jungle
A hell in a concrete jungle
A hell in a concrete jungle
We have already turned animals
and lost our sixth sense,
merely to fill the stomachs
we run days, months and years
after unreal wealth.
Love has turned into lust
Romance is no more pure
Violence encroaches
every inch of our being
Peace is long perished
and is burried in the land of demons
God is helpless. Yes god is helpless
to help humanity in this concrete jungle
Heaven has vanished and
this planet is now a hell
and the people live in sorrow and grief

Castle in the Sand
I built castle in the sand
Reaching to the far off land
I gathered the sand to mount it high
Thinking to built a castle in the sky
But fate took a different path
The castle I had built was down at last
The breeze blew
The castle flew...
I now sit here all alone
Gathering the sand to rebuild a home
But what a dream I did see
To always have him near by me

Have you seen those desert eyes
Surely some burns breathed out the heat
Sun turning wheels clocks spinning sand
Sand storm slides made of desert clouds
Ending up in a single moment standing still
When eventually unnaturally nothing you think
Will ever eve morn move on
The desert of the Spiritus Movens
Motionless burnt in a beheaded lion roar
The carcasses flying above
I’d like to think something is going to happen you thought
But for this handy sky
Written up by too many hands
But for this sandy outpour
Slapping the holes of the storms
To force the snakes into their endless winding
I’d like to think something
But for these winged deceptions
Stuffed birds hunting up and down
Is eventually going to happen

Mad Man Moon
Was it summer when the river ran dry,
Or was it just another dam.
When the evil of a snowflake in june
Could still be a source of relief.
O how I love you, I once cried long ago,
But I was the one who decided to go.
To search beyond the final crest,
Though Id heard it said just birds could dwell so high.
So I pretended to have wings for my arms
And took off in the air.
I flew to places which the clouds never see,
Too close to the deserts of sand,
Where a thousand mirages, the shepherds of lies
Forced me to land and take a disguise.
I would welcome a horses kick to send me back
If I could find a horse not made of sand.
If this deserts all therell ever be
Then tell me what becomes of me.
A fall of rain?
That must have been another of your dreams,
A dream of mad man moon.
Hey man,
Im the sand man.
And boy have I news for you;
Theyre gonna throw you in gaol
And you know they cant fail
cos sand is thicker than blood.
But a prison in sand
Is a haven in hell,
For a gaol can give you a goal
[and a] goal can find you a role
On a muddy pitch in newcastle,
Where it rains so much
You cant wait for a touch
Of sun and sand, sun and sand...
Within the valley of shadowless death
They pray for thunderclouds and rain,
But to the multitude who stand in the rain
Heaven is where the sun shines.
The grass will be greener till the stems turn to brown
And thoughts will fly higher till the earth brings them down.
Forever caught in desert lands one has to learn
To disbelieve the sea.
If this deserts all therell ever be
Then tell me what becomes of me.
A fall of rain?
That must have been another of your dreams,
A dream of mad man moon.

Black City
Riding, crashing, charging
Run to the wrong side in the night
Bastard, savage prowler
Whip the engine for more power
Fast winds, highway, hell song
Feel the fog in the black storm
Darkness, black walls, shadows
Can't see the light on the road
Alone in a haunted
concrete fondation
Abandonned and possessed
In a ghostly mansion
Desert, ghost town, bare land
Dark street, create a fear
Closed lamps, curfews
Dead leaves
The black cat awaits the witch
Don't stay in black city
Your soul will catch the spell

Two Towers Lie As Rubble
Two towers lie as rubble:
the television news proclaims it,
aircraft has flown into them
broken obtuse, collapsed.
There are smoke, flames and dust
and somewhere something exploding.
Twisted, scorched steel
is pointed against the earth, cut off
where building was near to the heavens
there are only rubble, pieces of concrete and ash.
Defenceless people have been killed without reason,
as if the human race has lost its sanity,
shattered, crushed, burnt
made from sand to sand.

The Globtik Tokyo
Great oil companies they paid,
Ishikawajima laid
For a mighty ship a keel,
Built her out of solid steel.
Big as supertankers go
was the Globtik Tokyo,
Length twelve hundred feet or so,
was the Globtik Tokyo.
Fifty thousand horse power geared,
Through the ocean's waters sheared.
Sixteen knots her speed at top,
Took three miles for her to stop.
Half a million tons displaced,
Engineers a problem faced:
This the largest ship on Earth,
For repairs where would she berth?
On the globe there was no slip
That would take this super ship;
They must build a giant dry dock,
So men planned around the clock.
Who would have the expertise?
Who would this great challenge seize?
Men who'd built the Snowy Scheme;
Men who weren't afraid to dream.
At the Sembawang shipyard,
Six thousand men toiling hard.
Re-bar tied and concrete poured,
The great walls, upward they soared.
Tons of concrete still they pour;
Six feet thick the dry dock floor.
On a thousand piles it sits,
Driven deep by mighty hits.
Built by Theiss and Petrosea;
Filled with water from the sea.
In sails the great ship in turn;
Fits so neat from stem to stern.
Thirty feet she takes of draught;
Open up the culvert shaft.
Drain the water level low;
They've slipped - the Globtik Tokyo.

Grain....
when life one dark night says
that it is tasteless and so bland like the air
the leaves of the mahogany trees hear it
and the following morning confide it with the
sea breeze
who tells it all to the sands who spread same story
to the waves of the shores
who deliver it to every desert in the sand
who keep all these in the heart of their
sacred solitude
and the wisdom stops in there
every dry sand of the desert
thrives upon this story
and sleeps so soundly.
'it is a fact and we are not surprised' the grain
of sand so proudly tell the others.

Neither Out Far Nor In Deep
The people along the sand
All turn and look one way.
They turn their back on the land.
They look at the sea all day.
As long as it takes to pass
A ship keeps raising its hull;
The wetter ground like glass
Reflects a standing gull
The land may vary more;
But wherever the truth may be--
The water comes ashore,
And the people look at the sea.
They cannot look out far.
They cannot look in deep.
Btu when was that ever a bar
To any watch they keep?

Spiritual Diversion
As he did to Israel, he’s doing again, turning hearts of religious men,
Away from God’s Truth and His Law, so that followers spiritually fall,
Falling away from Truth that’s clear, as The Lord, they no longer fear,
As in the past, Satan leads the way, to much apostasy we see today.
Unbiblical ways he will conceive, in many hearts, so that they believe,
The errors in Truth that will confound, as many fall from solid ground;
From The Solid Rock of Jesus Christ, men will pay the ultimate price,
When by Christ, they’ll be denied, for following that evil one who lied.
Satan, that ancient dragon, my friend, has just one goal for your end,
As God’s enemy has just one desire, to see souls in the Lake of Fire,
And Satan will use religious cause, to put our mind on spiritual pause,
To turn our hearts away from Truth, to set souls up for God’s reproof.
Israel had fallen into idolatry, and in some churches what do you see?
Statues fashioned by men’s hands, and in the church today it stands;
What about the “Queen of Heaven”, idolatry begot by spiritual leaven?
If it incited The Lord’s Anger then; aren’t they aware it’ll happen again?
And it is Satan, who orchestrates, all the diversion, for Truth he hates,
As only Truth alone saves men, extra biblical ways God will condemn,
So still today, he corrupts true faith, by having men, add on to Grace,
Knowing they will be denied by Christ, to enter death, not Eternal Life.

Aura
The air was dark
The moon was dark
The night was dark
The cloud was dark
The heat was dark
The stars were black
The birds were black
The eyes were black
The shadows were black
The planes were black
A sound of night
The hearts of night
A chase at night
A fall at night
No help at night
The night is night
Where is my sight
I have no sight
Your light was sight
No light no sight
No one in sight
The dark in sight
Don't call my name
What's my name
They call my name
That's not my name
Who said its my name
I have no name
You took my same
It was our same
She was our same
She's now your same
Its all the same
I'm not the same
Judas and my hand
You took my hand
'I do' my hand
You kissed my hand
You broke my hand
You fell my hand
A tear in sand
A heart in sand
A body in sand
Alone in sand
A dust in sand
At home in sand.

Caravan
Moses went into the desert
Moses came back with the law
Jesus went into the desert
God only knows what he saw
Hitch up your ass and your camel
Fill up your skin at the well
Roll up your tent, whisper your prayers
Are you ready to ride through hell
Caravan moving through the night
Sleeping in the light of day
Caravan spinning through the void
On our way to anywhere
Caravan time is just a joke change is all we
Understand
Caravan life is a mirage,
Only a mirage dancing on the desert sand
How I recall all the mountains
How I remember the farm
Oh how I miss the big city
With a pretty girl on my arm
Sell my best friend for some water
Cut off my leg for some shade
Sunburn these thoughts from my memory
If I live I will be remade
The sand is like a razor
Slashing at my face
Everyones in panic but you cant see any place
Its a sand storm, taken by surprise
Hide beneath your wrappings and cover up your eyes
Well I lost my kit and camel
Maybe I will die
Feel so lost and helpless and I think Im gonna cry
Its a sand storm, nothing you can do
No one knows if it will last
No one knows if you will make it through
Its been so long without water
Vultures are filling the air
Where is that bloody oasis
Must be around here somewhere
Time for some strong meditation
Time for the ultimate change
Time to make peace with your maker
Everything has been prearranged

Jumper
Standing on a ledge ten stories up
wind rips at clothing & flesh,
a tiger's claws. Hair blown to hell.
None of it matters at all.
Nothing matters but the hundred feet below
& a tiny patch of concrete
soon to be filled with blood & brains &
the crushed shell of a depressed life.
One last look out, then down.
Thighs compress for launch:
a three second freefall into salvation.
