Today... 'The Coming One

Look we for another or are You the One?
The long promised Saviour and God's Only Son
Prophesied since the dawn of earths history
Truly God manifest in the flesh is He

He is the One Who is and Who was to come
The forerunner of the heavenly kingdom
Such knowledge does not come by inspiration
But by the Holy Spirit's revelation

Look no further for the Coming One has Come
And has established His heavenly kingdom
Look closely at those things that John had been told
And there Your Lord and Your God you will behold

The lame are walking and the blind men can see
And the lepers are healed from their leprosy
The dead have been raised and the deaf hear once more
And the good news is being preached to the poor

For when we have ears to hear and eyes to see
Enlightened minds to understand prophesy
Then as we consider what was said to John
We can see that Jesus is the Coming One

Today... 'The Branch of Righteousness

Behold the days are now coming says the Lord
When a king will reign according to my word.
From David a Branch of Righteousness has come
the forerunner of the heavenly kingdom.

David's greater Son and God's Beloved One:
Jesus the Messiah has His reign begun
He came to us from heaven by virgin birth
to bring judgment and righteousness to earth.

Bible in Poetry: Gospel of St. Matthew (Chapter 11)

When Jesus had given commands to each,
He went away to towns to preach and teach.
When of his works, then John from prison heard,
He sent his disciples to Him and asked,
‘Are you the one to come or Messiah
Or should we be in search for another? ’

Jesus said, ‘Tell John, what you hear and see.
The lame can walk, the blind again can see;
The deaf can hear, lepers are cleansed truly;
The dead arise alive, the poor have peace;
Proclaimed is Good News to them poor with ease.
Blessed’s the one who takes no offence at me.’

Then Jesus told the crowds about John’s deeds:
‘In desert, simply dressed, on locusts feeds
A man called John, more than a prophet stayed,
To tell about God’s kingdom, God had made.’

‘This is the one about whom it is writ:
‘Behold, I send my messenger ahead,
He will prepare the way for you, unread.’

‘Amen, I say to you, of women born,
None can be greater than the Baptist, John.
The least in heave’n is greater than him John! ’

‘Violent are the days from John till now;
But, this has been prophesied from above;
He is Elijah, who’s one yet to come;
Whoev’r has ears to hear are most welcome.’

‘How can this generation be compared?
Like children in market-places who aired:
We played the flute but you did never dance;
We sang a dirge, but you ne’er mourned by chance;
Though John came neither to eat nor to drink,
They said he’s demonized with devil’s link’

About the Son of Man, they said, ‘O look,
A glutton, drunkard, friend of sinners, spook.
But wisdom vindicates all that they did.’

Then Jesus reproached towns which didn’t repent,
Although his great signs were done as He went.
‘O woe to Bethsaida and Chorazin,
Where mighty deeds were done, yet live in sin!
Had they been done in Sidon and Tyre,
They would’ve long back repented to admire.’

‘Will Capernaum be exalted to heav’n?
You’ll go down to the nether world, I say;
If mighty deeds done in your ’midst had been
In Sodom done, it would have still remained;
‘’Twill be more tolerable for Sodom,
On the Day of Judgment than for you all.’

So, Jesus said in reply, ‘Father Lord,
Of earth, heaven, although you’ve hid these things
From the wise and learned people of the world,
Yet, you’ve revealed them to the child-like ones!
For, such has been your gracious will, Father;
To me, from you, all things were handed o’er.’

‘And no one knows the Son, except Father,
And no one knows the Father except Son,
And ones to whom Son wishes to reveal.’

‘All over-burdened ones and who labor,
Then come to me, I’ll give rest that world can’t.
By taking my yoke on you, learn from me;
For, I am meek and humble of all hearts,
And you will find the rest for selves truly,
As light’s my burden and my yoke easy.’

Today... 'The Christ of God

Who do you say I am? , You enquired.
Then Peter replied with words so inspired
'The Christ of God and the Promised One
The Messiah and God's Only Son.'

These words not revealed by flesh and blood.
But by the Holy Spirit of God.
For there to Peter had been revealed
this great secrets from the world concealed.

For when in Christ we come to believe
then forgiveness for sin we receive
In Christ all the fullness of God dwells.
A secret that the Holy Spirit tells.

Jesus is the One the prophets foretold.
The Anointed One promised of old
Who came to fulfil all prophecy
and lay down His life for you and me.

I have come to know Him as my Lord.
This Jesus Who is the Christ of God
has become the Saviour of my soul
and by His death I have been made whole

The Glory of Israel is not a mere man
who changes his mind whenever he can.
But He is reliable, faithful and true
and to Him all praise and glory is due.

For the Lord Jesus our Immanuel
is the promised Saviour of Israel.
He was veiled in human flesh when He came
and the Lord Jesus Christ is His great name.

The promised one by all the prophets foretold
Keeps all Israel safely inside His fold.
Tears of sorrow over Jerusalem cried
and for her life laid down His life and died.

A revelation to the Gentiles He brings
And united the whole of creation sings
Of His wondrous glory and of His love
Raising their voices to the Lord above.

Today... 'The Forerunner

Long before the first aeons of time began
the triune God agreed Salvations great plan.
'Who is it that will go to provide the way? '
'Here I am, send me', the angels heard You say.

Then into this scene you came by virgin birth
to begin the days of Your life here on earth.
Satan wanted You to take another way
But on Calvary's path You wanted to stay

There 'Father forgive them' in anguish You cried
as You bowed Your head in sacrifice and died.
Then through deaths dark sepulchre You descended
until Your sacrificial work has ended.

Three days and nights in death You were to remain
and then You burst through its gates alive again.
For then You began Your glorious ascent
as up into heaven in the clouds You went.

The heavens resounded with tremendous praise
as You approached to the Ancient of Days.
There You were given an eternal kingdom
of people from every tribe and tongue.

Through the Holiest of Places You have gone
to prepare the way for us to follow on.
Secure in You we know that heaven 's our goal.
Having such a hope as this anchors the soul.

The gateway to heaven has been opened wide
and we can now follow our Forerunner inside.
The great Herald of the heavenly kingdom
The long promised One prophesied to come.

Jesus Christ: A Philosophy Of Enlightenment

Jesus Of Nazareth lead no armies in conquest
slaughtered no enemies with blood red hands
conquered no border sovereign nations in wars
declared my kingdom is no part of this world
Jesus Christ raised the dead cast out demons

healed the blind preformed many miracles
awaited birth ministry death and resurrection

Who is this Jewish Yeshua the famous Jesus Christ?
Is Jesus Of Nazareth the promised Messiah of Israel?
Is Jesus Christ the Son of God as his disciples claimed?
Did the word become flesh incarnate die for our sins?
After approximately two thousand years still worshipped?

Was Jesus God willingly born manifest in human form?
How can one God be a Holy Trinity three unique persons?
Were multiple messianic prophecies fulfilled by Jesus Christ?
If Jesus is God why would he willingly die a horrible death?
If Jesus died on a criminal cross then how was he resurrected?

Is Jesus the only king who will rule his kingdom for eternity?

Today... 'The Christ

'Who's claiming to be Christ the king instead.'
The rulers were confused at what they saw

A great secret the Spirit was to unveil
which You told Your disciples not to tell.
Now's the time for the long awaited One
for among them stood God's Only Son.

True understanding of Christ the Lord
comes only from the Father by His word.
It cannot be revealed by earthly wisdom
but only by revelation can it come.

Anointed as Prophet and Priest and King
to You all the people their praises bring.
As The Christ You are heavens Promised One
my Lord and Saviour and God's Only Son.

Today... 'The Glory of the Lord

A Saviour has been born to us; He is Christ the Lord.
A babe wrapped in rags by heaven and earth adored.
Angels brought to the world news of great blessing and joy.
God had come to earth and was born as a baby boy.

Your face shone like the sun so radiant and bright
as You were transfigured before their sight.
The Glory of the Lord came shining through
upon the mountain top as they gazed at You.

For they were standing upon the most holy ground
bathed in light as the Shekinah glory shone around.
This world has been illuminated by the Glory of God
shining in the face of Jesus as earths paths He trod.

For the Eternal Light and Uncreated Beam
in the life of Jesus Christ has by mankind been seen.
The image of the Godhead we see mirrored there.
You are the lord our God heaven and earth declare.

The image of the God in You Jesus we see.
the indwelling fullness of the Godhead bodily.
Peter said 'Lord it is good for us to be here'
As he watched Moses and Elijah disappear.

This sight had only been seen by a favoured few
and the Glory of God had come shining right through.
Then, 'This is my beloved son' God said to them
on the top of this mountain near Capernaum.

Later on the Isle of Patmos John saw God's Son
with His countenance shining brighter than the sun.
His eyes were like flashing fire and hair white as snow
and His feet like highly burnished bronze seemed to glow.

Then as one who was dead John fell down to the ground
for so awesome was that scene on that Island found.
Before him the glory of the Lord was too bright
far to wonderful for him to withstand the sight.

One day all will before the throne of Glory stand
and look upon a sight so glorious and grand.
For the Glory of the Lord Jesus will seen by all
and all mankind will confess You as Lord of all.

The Might Of The Messiah!

From Heaven's glory Jesus went
To save the world below
And fulfilling each commandment
Meant holy blood must flow...
As Jesus prayed that He be spared,
God's angel strengthened Him,
Such that He stood, no longer scared,
With faith filled to the brim!

The greatest story ever told
Was of the King of Kings,
As Jesus shed His blood like gold,
Behold how His back stings...
While still alive, His body torn,
A crown of thorns above,
They mocked the Saviour so forlorn,
With scorn instead of love...

Behold the Man! The crowd was cruel,
His kingship tattered now,
Such that their wisdom thought Him fool,
Not worthy of a bow...
Yet Jesus knew what lay ahead
And prophesied as much,
To say that He, when He was dead,
Would rise... and stay in touch...

The soldiers guarded in the gloom,
Where Jesus' shroud was laid,
They slept as God moved rock from tomb...
The news made folks afraid!
Disciples met the Saviour soon,
Thus Thomas praised the Lord,
When forced to sing another tune
That must not be ignored...

The might of the Messiah lives!
The Holy Spirit's gift
Is granted as the Lord forgives,
When true faith heals the rift...
That's why the Holy Bible's read
By billions here on Earth,
For what's in store and dead ahead
As Israel proves his worth...

The time shall come when Christ returns,
The whole wide world to own
And that's what every student learns
Who seeks what God has shown...
The world made new, no idle boast,
Yet Jesus, make things right!
Return with God's angelic host
With power and with might!

Bible In Poetry: Gospel Of St. Mark (Chapter 0)

Introduction:

The shortest of the gospels all,
In Testament Anew Bible,
Of Jesus’ miracles, tells well.

Perhaps, the first ever written,
By Jesus’ disciple Mark when
Jesus preached about Heaven.

It starts with Baptist John’s forecast
Of Messiah’s advent (or Christ):
John baptizes the Son of Man,
In river Jordan in his span.

But Jesus came to baptize all
By Holy Spirit, by God’s call.

And Jesus Christ, the ‘Son of Man’,
Is tempted by himself Satan;
Though Jesus Christ is victorious,
Is crucified to death on cross!

‘The Kingdom of Heaven is near;
Repent; have faith; live without fear, ’
Through parables, Jesus teaches,
Of God’s kingdom, He thus preaches.

All afflicted, Jesus heals /cures;
And out from men, demons, He drives;
Makes fishermen, ‘Fishers of men’!
He shows the way for all, Heaven.
In A.D.70, it’s written.

Heavenly Citizenship

I’m no longer of this earth; I have been changed by a spiritual birth,
Although I still walk this sod, I now belong to the Kingdom of God.
A heavenly plane beyond this earth; in a Kingdom of Eternal Worth,
While down here, I am led by God, comforted by His staff and rod.

Although I was born on earth in sin, of Heaven above I am a citizen,
A new citizen of Heaven, eternally, all through the Cross of Calvary.
While I am here He lives within, through The Holy Spirit sent by Him,
Jesus Christ, who came to die for me, to give me New Life eternally.

It’s the Holy Spirit who lives inside, helping this sinner daily to abide,
To abide in my Lord, Jesus Christ, who gave to this sinner a new life.
For, when The Lord was crucified, New Life, I received when He died,
When for me, Jesus paid that price, by becoming for me a Sacrifice.

After Christ had died in my stead, my Lord rose again from the dead,
Leaving empty, the Garden Tomb, and sealing forever, Satan’s doom,
And with Christ being The Living Bread, up to Heaven, He went ahead,
Leaving behind death’s dark gloom, to set up for me an eternal room.

As a member of the human race, my heavenly citizenship is of Grace,
The thought I’d alone never conceive, let alone, something I’d achieve.
But soon I’ll see my Lord’s face, when I’m lifted to my heavenly place,
Friend all this too, you can receive, if in Christ you would just believe.

Today... 'The Alpha and Omega

The Alpha and Omega is Your great name.
The Beginning and the End, forever the same.
There before the dawning of life upon the earth.
At the end You will also be, at creations new birth.

Written in this book of Revelation for all to see
is a message to the churches telling of what will be.
The Water of life is given that will surely satisfy
for all who thirst and come will never be passed by.

We hear these words from the First and the Last
as time concludes and history fades into the past.
'It is done, behold all things are now made new, '
as the new heaven and earth burst into view.

At the commencement of that great Eternal Day
when the ages of earth have ended and passed away.
Then the One who is the Beginning and the End
will be this poor persons Saviour and Eternal Friend.

Today... 'The Consolation of Israel

It was a busy world at Your nativity
People were too busy to even stop and see
As into the temple Your family had come
In obedience to the law and Jewish custom

The glory of the Lord was present there that day
In that building composed of earthly stone and clay
The same glory that appeared in Solomon's reign
Was present as God entered His temple again

Simeon and Anna were also present there
And in prophecy they both began to declare
That Child in their arms was the promised Holy one
Born of God, His One and Only Belovéd Son

In wonder Simeon in his arms held his Lord
And began speaking out loud God's prophetic word
And Anna also join in with him to proclaim
These things happened when to His temple Jesus came

The Holy Spirit entered Simeon that day
Causing him to cry out with prophecy and say
'Behold the Consolation of Israel' he cried
He'd been told he would see Jesus before he died

This Consolation of Israel was to be seen
Just as the prophets of old said it would have been
But just Simeon and Anna saw the real glory
Of this momentous occasion in history

Prophecy Update

In the beginning, Creation! No human soul, no Earth.
God's bright light for revelation, before new life gave birth...
Yet in the midst of space itself were prophecies in time.
Like Bible books upon God's shelf in libraries sublime...
When Adam sinned and Eve felt wise and Satan said he'd won,
God prophesied before their eyes to send His only Son,
The Great Redeemer of Mankind, the Righteous Holy Prince...
The only pardon Man could find to die for all our sins...
God chose a people as His Own, the ancient Israelites,
With sacrifices to atone, with laws and human rights,
With guidance like a nearby hand to nudge them on His way...
But they were slow to understand, yes, even to this day...

With hearts of stone, so dead, so cold, no faith to see things new,
God gave them wonders to behold, to change their point of view,
Yet still, rebellion twisted fate that He gave as a gift...
So they were weak and sometimes great, so close, then set adrift...
God's Son was waiting in the wings, obedient to God's will,
Because His Father knew all things and all vows to fulfil...
So when Christ came to Mary's womb, as fragile as could be...
Fear not, one day He'd leave His tomb and conquer Calvary...
New prophecies revealed by Christ poured out like blood red wine,
At Pentecost, men realised, Lord Jesus was divine...
They prophesied now Spirit-led, like David in his psalms...
For each one then was Spirit-fed and safe within Christ's arms...

When Saul of Tarsus met the Lord, God told him he'd be healed,
Thus Saul believed with one accord, by faith, as God revealed...
He then went on to prophesy in Scriptures old and new,
Like John of Patmos, by and by, to Gentile and to Jew...
So, humans, mark these words within, in hearts and minds God gave,
One day you'll see the Man of Sin who says he's strong to save...
That demon leader, fool and liar will share his pain and strife,
His mark will cost each soul hellfire, denied eternal life...
So, think again, Megiddo's men, before that awful fight,
For Jesus Christ will come again in power and in might...
No more the gentle lamb of old, God's lion's on His way.
Megiddo's men will then behold their final judgment day...

I'm Only Passing Through

I'm only passing through this place, as I'll be heading home one day,
My Hope is far beyond this place, for someone pointed me to The Way.

For Christ is The Way, The Truth, The Life for all who will believe,
Christ changed the path of this hopeless soul with just a tiny seed.

I was purchased with The Blood of Christ out of this market of sin,
I was then planted on The Eternal Rock and given a new life to begin.

As I was redirected on a new journey to my Palatial Home in Heaven,
The Holy Spirit began to remove from my life fleshly sin and leaven.

Jesus Christ was crucified only once for all, to demonstrate the way,
But we my friend, must crucify our sinful flesh each and every day.

Salvation happens only once, at the very moment you truly believed,
But Sanctification continues on until at The Kingdom we are received.

For Holy, Holy, Holy is The Lord, and so will The Coming Kingdom be.
That is why The Spirit must have His way with souls like you and me.

For if anyone is in Christ, by God's Grace he becomes a new creation,
And our life is to be used by God to point others to God's Salvation.

For we are only passing through and we are not of this present world,
And as we journey Home we have only one message in which to herald.

Jesus died for all our sins, was buried, and on the third day raised,
He's coming back again my friend, and by all tongues will be praised.

Bible in Poetry: Revelation 22

The River of Life:

1 And then the angel showed to me
The river of water of life,
As clear as crystal, and which flowed,
From the throne of God and the Lamb,
2 And down the city’s middle street.
On either side of river stood,
Tree of life, with twelve crops of fruit,
And yielding fruit on every month.
The leaves of tree healed all nations.
3 No longer will there be a curse.
The throne of God and of the Lamb
In city, and servants serve Him.
4 They’ll see His face then directly;
His name will be on their foreheads.
5 There will be no more night at all.
They will not need a lamp-light’s help,
Nor light of sun, for God gives light.
And they will reign forever, ev’r.
6 The angel turned and said to me,
'These words are trustworthy and true.
The God of spirits of prophets,
Sent angel to show his servants,
The things that must take place sooner.'

Jesus Is Coming:

7 'Behold, I am then coming soon!
Blessed is he who keeps the words
Of the prophecy in this book.'
8 I, John, heard and saw all these things.
And when I’d heard and seen them all,
I fell down to worship at feet
Of angel who showed them to me.
9He said to me, 'Do not do it!
I’m a fellow servant with you
And with your brothers, the prophets,
And all who keep words of this book.
Therefore, you worship the Lord, God! '
10 He told me then, 'Don’t seal the words
Of prophecy of this book for,
The time is near as prophesied.
11 Let him who wrongs, so continue;
Let him who’s vile, then, continue;
Let him who does the right, do so;
Let him who’s holy, holy be.'
12 'Behold, I am then coming soon!
With Me is my reward for all;
And I will give to everyone,
According to what he has done.
13 I’m Alpha and the Omega,
First and Last, Beginning and End.
14 'Blessed are those who wash their robes,
That they have right to tree of life,
And go through gates of the City.
15 Outside are dogs, with magic arts,
The sexually immoral ones,
The murderers, idolaters,
And all who love, practice falsehoods.
16 'I, Jesus, have sent my angel,
To testify to all churches:
I am the Root, David’s Offspring,
The Morning Star that’s ever bright.'
17 The Spirit and the bride say, 'Come! '
Let him who hears say, 'Come! Also.”
“Whoev’r is thirsty, let him come;
Whoever wishes let him take
The free gift of Water of Life.
18 I warn all those who hear the words
Of prophecy of this great Book:
If one adds anything to them,
Then God will add to him the plagues
That are described in this God’s Book.
19 If anyone takes words away
Then, from this Book of prophecy,
God too will take away from him,
His share in tree of life as well
As, in the holy city too,
Which are described in this great Book.
20 Whoever testifies to these
Things says, 'Yes, I am coming soon.'
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. Amen
21The grace of Lord Jesus Christ be
With God's people always. Amen.

Who Is Jesus Of Nazareth?

Who is Jesus of Nazareth? God's truth I'll tell you now!
A miracle by virgin birth blessed Mary would allow.
Through David's royal line this child was long since prophesied...
In Bethlehem, God reconciled each promise He supplied.
From Genesis, we learn of Christ, the title Jesus owns.
And from the moment He's baptised, He's led till He atones...
He's called the holy Lamb of God, He's called the Prince of Peace,
He's called to sacrifice His Blood to gain the Kingdom's keys!
He called Himself the Sinner's Friend! None else could pay the price!
Enduring all until the end, He is our sacrifice...
God helped Him to fulfil His goals! God tells us to repent...
No other name can save lost souls! No second Son was sent!
Made perfect through His suffering, God raised Him from the dead...
From solid rock recovering the life's blood that He shed!
He prophesied that this would show He was God's Son and more
And share God's Spirit here below, so Christians could be sure!
Yes, sure and certain, strong to save is Jesus, Lord and King
And blessed are those who pray with faith like eagles on the wing!
Disciples stand against the night! They preach of Calvary!
At times to pray with all their might, 'Lord, set sin's captives free! '
Eternity awaits us all, God wants each soul to live...
It's up to us to hear God's call, else He cannot forgive...
A billion here, a billion there... God knows we've misbehaved...
Lord Jesus, You've made us aware how much we must be saved!
