A Welshman to any Tourist
We've nothing vast to offer you, no deserts
Except the waste of thought
Forming from mind erosion;
No canyons where the pterodactyl's wing
Falls like a shadow.
the hills are fine, of course,
Bearded with water to suggest age
And pocked with cavarns,
One being Arthur's dormitory;
He and his knights are the bright ore
That seams our history,
But shame has kept them late in bed.

5. Merry Old England
Shining armour tunics bright
A table large and round
Swords pointing to its centre
Where Arthur’s knights be found
Each had pledged allegiance
That will never be forgot
To uphold the rights of justice
In this place called Camelot
Each fought in many battles
You’d often hear them call
We fight in the name of King Arthur
For right and with justice for all
Tyrants they had vanquished
Dragons had been slain
Damsels in their ivory towers
Saved time and time again
At last the knights disbanded
All battles had been won
Back to merry old England
Where King Arthur’s job was done

Poem for John around the camp-fire
Arthur with all his knights around
sleep the sweet sleep of time
under the green hills of Avalon;
this we believe; this comforts us.
We’ll call them when we need them..
unless, the sharp cold dark night-mists of time
make men forget to spell their children’s minds.
And not only knights, they say,
but all his court, to rise at time of need;
poets, singers, clowns and wise men too;
all sleep the sweet sleep of those
who know what waking is.
Tread the green hills of Avalon
on a balmy summer night
and the faintest sound of horse
snorting in its sweet-hay sleep
should send you back to tell the tale
to those who must one day know
just when to wake the sleeping court
before it’s then too late: wake,
golden; spurred; invincible like truth.

Fish And Shadow
The salmon-trout drifts in the stream,
The soul of the salmon-trout floats over the stream
Like a little wafer of light.
The salmon moves in the sun-shot, bright shallow sea. . . .
As light as the shadow of the fish
that falls through the water,
She came into the large room by the stair,
Yawning a little she came with the sleep still upon her.
'I am just from bed. The sleep is still in my eyes.
'Come. I have had a long dream.'
And I: That wood?
'And two springs have passed us.'
'Not so far, no, not so far now,
There is a place but no one else knows it
A field in a valley . . .
Qu'ieu sui avinen,
Ieu lo sai,'
She must speak of the time
Of Arnaut de Mareuil, I thought, 'qu'ieu sui avinen.’
Light as the shadow of the fish
That falls through the pale green water.

Erosion
Rain is a bad reminder of everything I don't want to know
Rain is a backseat driver that takes me where I don't want to go
And it looks like the sky is caving in again
I'm dry and cracked, the sky goes black
And tut, tut, it looks like rain
Erosion
Oh, Spirit, fall like rain on my thirsty soul
Erosion
Oh, sweet erosion, break me and make me whole
The thirstiest grounds can't take the rain
My undecided vices washing on down the drain
And it looks like the sky is caving in again
My heart is cracked, the sky goes black
And tut, tut it looks like rain
Oh, Erosion, would You wash away my sins?
Oh, Erosion, I need a second shot again
Oh, Erosion, would you break my heart again?
Oh, Erosion, I am a broken-hearted man

Shadow
Your body's warm but you are not
You give a little not a lot
It could be love until we kiss
You're all I want but not like this
I'm watching you disappear
But you, you were never here
CHOURS
It's only your shadow,
Never yourself
It's only your shadow,
Nobody else
It's only your shadow,
Filling the room
Arriving too late
And leaving too soon.
And leaving too soon.
Your body gives but then holds back
The sun is bright the sky is black
Can only be another sign
I can not I keep what isn't mine
Your laughter, it lingers on
But you, you were almost gone
CHOURS
It's only your shadow,
Never yourself
It's only your shadow,
Nobody else
It's only your shadow,
Filling the room
Arriving too late
And leaving too soon.
And leaving too soon.
How can I tell if you mean what you say?
You say it so loud but you sound far away
Maybe I'll have just a glimpse of your soul
Or was that your shadow I saw on the wall?
I'm watching you disappear
But you, you were never here.
CHOURS
It's only your shadow,
Never yourself
It's only your shadow,
Nobody else
It's only your shadow,
Filling the room
Arriving too late
No, no, no
It's only your shadow
It's only your shadow
Nobody else
It's only your shadow
Arriving too late
And leaving too soon
Oooh.
It's only your shadow.

The Tower
One, from his high bright window in a tower,
Leans out, as evening falls,
And sees the advancing curtain of the shower
Splashing its silver on roofs and walls:
Sees how, swift as a shadow, it crosses the city,
And murmurs beyond far walls to the sea,
Leaving a glimmer of water in the dark canyons,
And silver falling from eave and tree.
One, from his high bright window, looking down,
Peers like a dreamer over the rain-bright town,
And thinks its towers are like a dream.
The western windows flame in the sun's last flare,
Pale roofs begin to gleam.
Looking down from a window high in a wall
He sees us all;
Lifting our pallid faces towards the rain,
Searching the sky, and going our ways again,
Standing in doorways, waiting under the trees . . .
There, in the high bright window he dreams, and sees
What we are blind to,-we who mass and crowd
From wall to wall in the darkening of a cloud.
The gulls drift slowly above the city of towers,
Over the roofs to the darkening sea they fly;
Night falls swiftly on an evening of rain.
The yellow lamps wink one by one again.
The towers reach higher and blacker against the sky.

Global Pollution Supercell Storms
it is said it was demon creature man in
ignorant greed lusts who pumped pollutants
into air river oceans destroying critical
balance of ancient earth filters
which guarded earth life precious
from excessive harmful sunlight
deforestation laid bare ground heated
erosion created enlarged sand waste deserts
naked earth baked in global warming
most glaciers melted
polar ice sheets retracted
oceans overflowed
too much water
does not sour
exhausted air
hot oven heat waves
wither grasslands crops
dry out vein riverbeds
but too much supercell water
may flood vast stretches of land
drown the air in torrential rain
water spirits must soar into the air
evaporation must seed rain clouds
not excessive thunderstorm heavy
rain must fall to water dry earth
with soft kiss multitude raindrops
to nourish regenerate vegetation
there are natural balances checks
imposed laws upon all earth life
demon creature man eradicates life
global complex interactive life cycles
all is linked in established food chains
all life harmonies dances in life webs
let there be restoration of balances
replant vast tracts of deforestation jungles
oxygenate multiple dead sea zones
water must rise in harmonic symphonies
must be why water souls gift allow themselves
to evaporate on hot days allowing cloud births
water souls spread allow themselves
to spread on atmospheric winds
to circle bless ecosystem entire worlds

Flag Day
Too many florence nightingales
Not enough robin hoods
Too many halos not enough heroes
Coming up with the goods
So you though youd like to change the world
Decided to stage a jumble sale
For the poor, for the poor
Its a waste of time if you know what they mean
Try shaking a box in front of the queen
cause her purse is fat and bursting at the seams
Its a waste of time if you know what they mean
Too many hands in too many pockets
Not enough hands on hearts
Too many ready to call it a day
Before the day starts
So you thought youd like to see them healed
Got blue peter to stage an appeal
For the poor, for the poor
Its a waste of time if you know what they mean
Try shaking a box in front of the queen
cause her purse is fat and bursting at the seams
Its a waste of time if you know what they mean
Flag day, flag day, flag day

Turn it
I would like to suggest
a universal form
is the discipline
to write history
I would like to suggest changes in the relationship
towards a goal
I'm going to frontload
In fact, I'd like to argue
not the history of childhood
or great American conquest
and the myths that we believe in
but by our own experience
infused with a spirit of grace
radically changed
beautifully formed
like an individual

Inner Sense or Lost Innocence?
Vine leaves in Eve's hair offer proof that the snake
had tempted fair maiden to eat of the tree, -
a damn shame from Eden she needed to flee –
for Man must atone for that mor[t]al mistake.
All maids have been wary since then – vide Blake,
as our threescore and ten show price paid steep we see.
Though some memories fade, both the Serpent and she
are still held attainted, for initial sin’s sake.
Thus all apples avoid in the future and make
one's choice of some other fruit well weighed thus we
may suggest as alternative banana be
much the best, or a pear, or the pair, or eat cake!
As moral we find most immoral maid’s mind,
Whose ‘core’ falls behind to affront her behind!

Water: The Gift From Nature!
Water, water, and water
The most purest sign of virtue,
How wonderfully nature has indebted us with this gift,
An offer that none can resist
Oh water, water, water
Comes in all forms of states
Solid, liquid, and gas...
Packaged in all forms of life,
That subtle taste that we cannot taste,
That deep fragrance that we cannot smell,
As it falls onto your smooth skin and romances around your body,
That reassurance in the body which rests the mind,
That horrific depression if suppressed from,
Energy replenished, mixed in all sorts, organic and inorganic, for it were not for thy water, how could you fabrish the presence of life?

Neverending Love
Chasing your shadow, the senses together,
Four-leafed and clever I come from behind.
Chasing your shadow, I wander in circles,
Youre one in a million, were two of a kind.
Its you that I long for, its you that I hunger,
Oh you are the maker of waves in my mind.
We dance in the moonlight, a run on the wire,
Drawing a fine line, a neverending love.
The fever turns slowly into a fire, drawing a fine line,
A neverending love.
Chasing your shadow, moon and the water,
Field and the reaper, star and the sky.
Chasing your shadow, hammer and heartbeat,
Clay and new concrete, I follow the signs.
Its you that I long for, its you that I hunger,
And you are the maker of waves in my mind.
We dance in the moonlight...

If You Say An Evil Word
The sky will open a broken horizon
Spill the rain of wounded thoughts
The water will drawn itself
Flooded by unhappiness
If you think an evil thought
Everything in the universe will spill
The sand clocks of unhappy hours
The deserts will pile up the deserts
Into the graves burring themselves
Covered by wretchedness
So if you hear an evil thought
And can’t stand its pain
And can’t purify it in your heart
Just don’t say anything

Good Man
Album : Silencer (2001)
You never had much style about you
We never knew the reason that you
You sat around almost every hour
And quickly lost your bargaining power
You can't be me
I'm convinced you're twice the man we are
And you cannot clear your mind
Cos in our eyes we're fine
And you're running out of time
But its not to do with us
And you cannot clear our minds
Cos in our eyes you're blind
And its such a waste of time
The threads you wore were something tragic
The words you spoke were so emphatic
The records that you make are tasteless
And eloquence with you is wasted
So whats your method, whats your scheme?
The whole scene knows what you already mean
And you cannot clear my mind
Cos in our eyes you're fine
And you're running out of time
But its not to do with us
And you cannot clear our minds
Cos in our eyes you're blind
And its such a waste of time
But its not to do with us
And you cannot clear our minds
Cos in our eyes you're fine
And you're running out of time
But its not to do with us
And you cannot clear our minds
Cos in our eyes you're fine
And you're such a waste of time
But its not to do with us
And you cannot clear our minds
Cos in our eyes you're fine
And you're running out of time
But its not to do with us
And you cannot clear our minds
Cos in our eyes you're fine
And you're such a waste of time

Can You Turn?
Can you turn from the sword
that invites-please
'Hang upon me? '
Or shrink back from the
boasting pool that whispers
'Jump'
But I am afraid of blood which
makes me sick
Scalding water on tender skin-
It is terrible, terrible, terrible
Faith is useless here:
I tell you this, it is no illusion
The blood is real and so is the bubbling water
Look carefully:
Behind the road you trod;
rubbed out
Do you believe me?
Look at me!
'Speaking'
But you couldn't... trees they
Were too thick.. they went by
Chanting, chanting, chanting:
It's fine It's fine It's fine
Jump in, jump in, jump in -
But I'm already - splashing, splashing, splashing
Must I beat my way to the riverbank
to prove I'm wet
Outrage danced on my lips, that
Sputtered and danced
Can You Turn?
And around the bend came the
voices fainter and fainter
'the water - the water - the water
is fine
jump in- jump in - jump in-
And no more I was free! !
I dipped my hand in the water
And the drops ran out of
my fingers - the sun lit
into my throat -
What a wonderful, wonderful day
for knowing I thought
'What a wonderful, wonderful place for swimming'
I murmured
And it was true: the water
was cream and silk
The sky was bright as disaster
Suppose they came back?
Suppose they came back!
Was the mutter that crinkled the
edges of being
But the water smoothed in
over the sunshine
'False friends' 'Deceitful loves'
Who has not known these
the world over?
Does it then blot out the sun! ? !
And dry up the river?
Can You Turn?
Jump in, my dear, my dears
my dears-
The water is fine, it's fine, it's
fine
The water- the water- the water
The whisper is treading water
with no body
and not convinced -
But I will learn
I will Learn.... I will learn
Some day I may lead the
chanters myself
Yes it's well to have marching
feet and banners
Even with this
'The water is fine, jump in, '
they cried
Its fine, its fine, its fine
jump in- jump in- jump in
'But I'm already in, ' I screamed
'can't you see, can't you see,
can't you see? '
