Pride In New York City

How could I ever return
When leaving put the past behind me?
Some kinds of love I have no use for,
It would be like searching
In pockets that are empty...

Peering into the one-way glass limousines
I hope to see someone I recognize
While, simultaneously
Someone is shaking coins in cup
Te tell me he is hungry-
Can I be stretched
Between two such worlds?
On the borderline of each
Under the microscope of publicity
And the indifference of police...

Do those who have succeeded before me
Know to abuse the bondage of poverty?
The freezing action of debt and terror
Is still better than owing personal favor...

Too many out of work- where's the cure
For the destruction of pride?
After it is turned inside
It becomes a character flaw
And everybody tries to hide
What they presume to be humiliating
But it is just the prejudice
That makes it unbearable....!

When you wake up in the morning
Thinking about what you have to do
Or what you ought to be doing
You can never really grasp what has passed
In the hours spent revitalizing
The sub-conscious memory...
And though you take substance
From the world you know,
This is not what really refreshes You...

The Cries of a child

When hearts are veiled
There is no way for peace
When hearts are veiled
There is no way for brotherhood
When brains are veiled with prejudice
There is no chance for tolerance
When bellies are heavy
There is no way to see the hungry
When pockets are plenty
There is no way to see poverty
When the ears are shut
There is no chance to hear
The cries of the empty mouths
When the doors are closed
There is no way for all the beautiful things
To come in
All will go beyond …..
Above the sun
They will hide any shining stars
They will break any hope for tomorrow
Then we'll live in two worlds
Your world and mine
For whom the sun will shine
I'll be sad you'll be happy
Give me a chance to survive
Give me a chance stay alive

Euphoria

Since the first time
I saw your beautiful eyes,
I have been honestly shaking,
At first glance
They successfully
Hypnotized me..

Those eyes that to me reveal
The questions they would ask
And answers they plead for
Which my own cannot grasp...

I want to know
O f what substance they are made
Currently cutting my soul
Causing it to bleed...

But wandering gazes
Incriminate me...
Of what? sensing my
Vulnerability?

Faithless anxiety
Esteeming my open wounds
Strings of love-fly away
Letting it go like hot balloons...

O! those beautiful eyes
Whose bewitched me so dearly,
And are already gone
But, ironically, I still recall...

Midsummer New York

Wake up in the morning, my hands cold in fear.
And midsummer new york my heart shakes in terror.
My heart, my hands, my legs, my mind,
Evrything I touch is shaking, shaking, shaking, shaking,
Shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, oooh.
Wake up in the morning, my beds wet in sweat.
And midsummer new york, scream in the mirror.
And the door, and the chairs, and the floor, and the ceiling,
Evrything you see is aching, shaking, shaking, shaking,
Shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, oooh.
And you shake, shake, shake, shake, shake,
Shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, oooh.
Wake up in the morning, my minds dried up in pain.
Midsummer new yorks waiting for the rain.
The window, the trees, the park, the sun,
The whole world s shaking, is shaking, shaking,
Shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, oooh.
Shake, oh, shake, oh, shake,
Shake, oh, shake, shake.
Aching, aching, aching, aching, aching,
Oh, its aching, aching, aching, oh, aching,
Aching, aching, oh, its aching, aching, oh, oh.
Shaking, shaking,
Shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake, shake,

Shake, oh, shake, shake, shake, shake,

Ooh, oh, shake, shake, shake, shake,
Oh, oh, oh, oh, aching, oh, oh, aching, aching, aching, aching.
Shake, shake, shaking, shaking, shaking, shaking,
Shaking, ooh, oh, shaking, oh, shake,
Oh, oh, shaking, shaking, shaking, shaking,
Oh, oh, shaking, shake, shake, shake, shake,
Shake, shake, shake,
Shake!
Oh, oh, oh, shake, shake.

A Summer's Night Revelation

Last night we met again,
Surrounded by old friends
In the very place
Where we were seen together,
Many times before.
Me, alone, still my unique self,
You, as beautiful as always,
Accompanied by a new man,
Showing off without disdain,
Announcing that I have been replaced.

But, with my mind uplifted,
My heart completely calmed,
My pride untarnished,
I drank and danced
With the whole world,
Looking at you with indifference.
I danced and danced again
Celebrating with joy my new me,
Happy for being free.

Last night I saw the same picture,
But this time with a different frame,
You became a victim of your own game,
No longer feeling the love's flame,
And desperately you tried to hide
But couldn't find the mask,
The one from you, I proudly removed.
You forgot that I am I,
And that you are you.

Still with affection and love,
A soulful man I remain,
Even though, last night we met again,
Nothing is the same at all,
Since my past has been buried
And there is no need to worry
But to move on...

Borderline

Everybody looks so ill at ease
So distrustful so displeased
Running down the table
I see a borderline
Like a barbed wire fence
Strung tight, strung tense
Prickling with pretense
A borderline
Why are you smirking at your friend?
Is this to be the night when
All well-wishing ends?
All credibility revoked?
Thin skin, thick jokes!
Can we blame it on the smoke
This borderline?
Every bristling shaft of pride
Church or nation
Team or tribe
Every notion we subscribe to
Is just a borderline
Good or bad, we think we know
As if thinking makes things so!
All convictions grow along a borderline
Smug in your jaded expertise
You scathe the wonder world
And you praise barbarity
In this illusionary place--
This scared hard-edged rat race
All liberty is laced with
Borderlines
Every income, every age
Every fashion-plated rage
Every measure, every gauge
Creates a borderline
Every stone thrown through glass
Every mean-streets-kick ass
Every swan caught on the grass
Will draw a borderline
You snipe so steady
You snub so snide--
So ripe and ready
To diminish and deride!
Youre so quick to condescend
My opinionated friend
All you deface, all you defend
Is just a borderline
Just a borderline ...
Another borderline ...
Just a borderline

Footprints of My Silence

Simple words revealing a pure love
That slowly is drowning me
In the deep Ocean of my silence
Every time I think of you
While sorrows and sadness
Little by little are killing me...

Last night, while pretending
That I was waiting for you,
I suddenly felt a chill,
That clearly froze my heart and mind
And for a second,
I thought it was you approaching
But it turned out to be
My mind playing tricks on me...
I felt really devastated and empty,
Like a morning without dew
Or a dried rose without scent
Or a candle consumed by time..

Now, alone and terribly sad,
While listening to an old song
That reminds me of the time
When we were happy together
Some time ago...
Vivid memories of my past
Ripping my life apart
Every day that passes by
And I still think of you,
Then like a baby I cry,
Saying goodnight to myself
Hoping that tomorrow
Will be a better day
When I would bury my past
But preserve my Hope and Faith...

Many Must Grow Poorer

Millions will go to bed hungry tonight that does seem sad to say
And many of them will not wake again for to see another day
The sad fact that many die of malnutrition is sad cause for lament
Whilst billions in war by Governments are spent
Even in the World's wealthiest Nations people live in abject poverty
And the unequal distribution of wealth does seem all wrong to me
The wealthy getting wealthier whilst the homeless of poverty street
Are searching in the rubbish for thrown out food to eat
To have enough of food and shelter should be a basic human right
But millions must try to sleep hungry without shelter tonight
And many cannot feed their families on their meagre take home pay
In an egalatarian World things would never be this way
And many must grow poorer for every new millionaire
And for the hungry millions doesn't life seem so unfair.

A poem to borderline

Borderline Personality Disorder
You are my biggest enemy and you are a curse.
You drain my energy.
And you take my feelings.
You make me so numb.
Some days I wonder just who I am.

Borderline personality.
I hate you more than you no.
You entered my life
And you turned my world upside down.
My life is like my prison now.

Borderline.
Why do you make me so sad.
You give me mood swings
I flip from one to the next.

Borderline Borderline
You've made my world so lonely
You made a Razor my friend
But they you made pills and suicide my very best friend.
Your like a parasite, feeding on my weakness.

Borderline why did you come into my world?
Life as I once knew it has changed forever.
Borderline you've made my world a lonely place.

But most of all borderline you've given me fear.
I can't trust people Borderline.
All I have is you.
And Borderline
I no you'll never stop till I am dead
Borderline one day you will be the end of me.

Game-less Wish

Contented
Blessed
But
In this game-less life
I am
Thinking about the same you
Question over heartfelt hope
Double-edged blade of time
You are the one
Come with grace
You are……
Wish of the hardest smile
Hug or kisses
So now I must say
Love me
Love me with no condition
Love me dear no prejudice.

Without You

Where were you?
When I sat down in deep silence
Looking at the rain through my window,
While tears were rolling down on my face:
Surrounded by empty spaces
Which madly echoed my grief…

I asked the rain about you,
But it was all in vain,
For my question turned into water
Gone with the wind…

I was then a lonely soul
Looking for your company,
Within a world of nothingness…

Outside, the sky kept crying,
While inside, embraced by walls,
My heart was falling apart
In great desperation…

The night arrived quietly
To share my torments,
But still, you were not by my side
When I needed so much…

Suddenly, I fell asleep,
When I woke up in the morning;
For my surprise,
The rain, the wind and the night
Were all gone…
Except the memory of you
Which turned into a dream,
That never came true…

Leaving New York

It's quiet now
And what it brings
Is everything
Comes calling back
A brilliant night
I'm still awake
I looked ahead
I'm sure I saw you there
You don't need me
To tell you now
That nothing can compare
You might have laughed if I told you
You might have hidden A frown
You might have succeeded in changing me
I might have been turned around
It's easier to leave than to be left behind
Leaving was never my proud
Leaving New York, never easy
I saw the light fading out
Now life is sweet
And what it brings
I tried to take
But loneliness
It wears me out
It lies in way
And all not lost
Still in my eyes
The shadow of necklace
Across your thigh
I might've lived my life in a dream, but I swear
This is real
Memory fuses and shatters like glass
Mercurial future, forget the past
It's you, it's what I feel.
You might have laughed if I told you (it's pulling me apart)
You might have hidden a frown (change)
You might have succeeded in changing me (it's pulling me apart)
I might have been turned around (change)
It's easier to leave than to be left behind (it's pulling me apart)
Leaving was never my proud (change)
Leaving New York, never easy (it's pulling me apart)
I saw the light fading out
You find it in your heart, it's pulling me apart
You find it in your heart, change...
I told you, forever
I love you, forever
I told you, I love you
I love you, forever
I told you, forever
You never, you never
You told me forever
You might have laughed if I told you
You might have hidden the frown
You might have succeeded in changing me
I might have been turned around
It's easier to leave than to be left behind (it's pulling me apart)
Leaving was never my proud (change)
Leaving New York never easy (it's pulling me apart)
I saw the life fading out (change)
Leaving New York, never easy (it's pulling me apart)
I saw the light fading out (change)

I saw the life fading out (change)

Borderline

You call every hour, but theres nothing to say
So talk to me now, before its too late
Oh they say it couldnt happen, but I saw your picture breathe
That fifty dollar doctor said your love is a disease
Im alright, Im okay
Still I dont know how, and I dont know why
But the talk turns to shop, and so we stand on the edge of goodbye
Is this the end of the beginning, or beginning of an end
Are you friend or the enemy, or enemy or the friend
I walk the borderline
Between day and the night, wrong and the right
Borderline
The voices they scream from inside of me
On the borderline
I walk the borderline
I hear talk on the streets, I hear rumors of you
The people I meet say, that the lies are all true
And I wake up in a cold sweat, find you lying fast asleep
Is my dream a reality, reality a dream
Ive crossed the borderline
Between day and the night, wrong and the right
Borderline
The voices they scream from inside of me
On the borderline
I walk the borderline
I walk the borderline
Between day and the night, wrong and the right
Borderline
The voices they scream from inside of me
On the borderline
I walk the borderline
Yeah, yeah, yeah

A Life's Stage

Leave me to my senses
And the darkness of a room,
For I have no reflection
And my eyes refuse to see
The light even if a day or love,
Or memory-so extinguished,
Is the lamp that once
Brightened my life with purpose...

Myself-so outward changed,
That I seem not to maintain
A singular character
Apart from others,
Who, separately, take their cue
From placement and environment,
Each by turn-but tell me-
Did you expect another me?

Another page, another grave
For yesterday's treasure-
The sustaining pursuit
Or a self-made uncertainty,
Of a need for growth or freedom-
What does it mean- but me
Or you- alive with possibility
Owning nothing to the past but this?

I Want To Cry

I want to cry
But I can't,
To dropp visible tears
All over my wary face,
Tears, the physical evidence
Of a passionate past love
That is still suffocating me
And driving me to insanity!

I want to openly cry
And let all my inside out,
Letting the whole World
Become the second witness
As God is the first one already
Of this great love!
Tears of a true love
Rolling down like a river! ...

Tears s the vivid expression
Of my now silent and broken heart!
Tears that like the stars
That exploded long time ago
Vanishing forever
In the immense firmament
But still its luminosity
Is reaching the Earth!

I want to desperately cry
But honestly, I can't,
Must be the silly pride
That is holding me down
Deeply inside!

Now, I wish I could
Have the power
To revive the joyful past
But I can't,
Leaving me no choice
But to let the bygones
Be the bygones
And freely moving on!
I want to cry
But I can't!

Three Worlds

I see a world
Where love exists
The source
Of everything

A world of Beings
Who recognize
A connection
To ALL that is

There are
No borders
No prejudice
No anger hate
Or greed

Where all that is
Is all that they
Will ever need

I see a world
Where power is
The quest of
Every soul

Where separation
Alienates
Makes enemies
Of everyone

There are borders
Everywhere
As well, as prejudice

Fear ignites
All their actions
And nothing
Is taboo

Between these worlds
A world exists
Which knows not
Love or fear

Whose Beings
Surrender
To the beauty
Of life

And let it be
What it is
There are no borders
No separation

There’s observation
Appreciation
And creation
Never ending

One Moment
ONE with ALL
About ALL

Let Me Wake Up Young

Let me wake up young at early dawn again
And welcome the showers of spring first rain
Let me love and peer up at the morning sun
With half shut eyes and comfortable fresh cheek
Let me live a sweet life tale full often to seek
Through meadows and pathless woods where rivers fall and run
Let me love again my brightest beautiful one
Of heaven and divine let me slowly speak
These love tunes to the night and the starlight meek
Or the moon, if that her hunting be begun
Let me know, let me relive these delights and be prone
To moralize upon a smile and a tear
And find at once a region in a world of my own
A meadow, a bower for my spirit where it will steer
To alleys of forest gloom where pine tree dropp their cone
Where foxes hide, robins chirp and leaves are fallen sere

Let me wake up in strength and vigor hope
Worship the morning, the mystic night, the light the shade and lush lea on slope
Let me glance again fresh on wide plains, fair foliage trees, and at sprouting flowers
Call on birds over clear streams, smooth calm lakes, and long stretched bowers
Let me lost in the happiness of pathless woods with tall towers

Prayer for Forgiveness

i knelt down and prayed
this morning for forgiveness
for everything this country is doing
around the world...

for the oil wars,
for the partnerships
with countries that abuse
human rights...
for the dictators we
both prop up and remove...

for the gluttony and the greed
here at home.... for the apathy,
for the self centered path
of destruction we march on...

for those left hungry, homeless,
without medical care, without hope...

and i know i am a part of this...
i take responsibility for my actions,
my inaction, my complacency...
and vow to stand for truth,
and to walk in involved
human compassion!

join me!

Listen!

Listen! there is peace
Setting in the wake of unrest
Which cost me the loss
Of all those dreams
That were in progress-
But they were drifting
Farther out to the sea
And each day,
I saw less of reality...

I abandoned the dreams
But I stayed afloat
While the waters of hope
Took no opposition to the rocking waves
And I learned the pleasure
Of letting go the struggle for control,
As result, I was free to move...

I thought I saw those dreams
Floating back to me once again,
As if to say they would leave their way
With or without me-
But they would still exist
Because I gave them substance
And life all their own...
