Priceless Discovery!
Barely conscious
Or hardly caring which way
I face the World,
I took a border step,
Traveling steadily
Against the furious wind
That was sometimes too strong
And so cold it mumbled my senses
Until I felt myself
Completely turned inside out...
I tried to keep the direction
That I have set for
So that somehow,
I will arrive somewhere
Knowing that this path
I have followed faithfully
Has brought me to a state of mind
Where I have proudly

Weather, maybe, perhaps more than that
Maybe more than the wind
More than the elements known to the five senses

One Way Ticket

Standing on the border
Looking out into the great unknown
I can feel my heart beating faster as I step out on my own
Theres a new horizon and the promise of favorable wind
Im heading out tonight, traveling light
Im gonna start all over again
And buy a one way ticket on a west bound train
See how far I can go (because I can)
Im gonna go out dancing in the pouring rain
And talk to someone I dont know (because I can)
I will face the world around me
Knowing that Im strong enough to let you go
And I will fall in love again

And look the eagle in the eye
I wont let fear clip my wings and tell me how high I can fly

Lonesome Feelings
I used to have so many friends around,
Who were always in my mind,
Them so many that my heart would defend,
Is only this, that I'm trying to understand,
That against them I wouldn't contend.
But I'm so lonely even in the crowd,
In the sea of people I'm like an island,
With lonesome feelings driving my own world,
I may anticipate on acquiring among them around,
But there's no one even to give me a hand.
I'm in a lonely room in a lonely world,
On a lonely chair put on the lonely land,
And the heart is nearly to burn a thread,
With my mood without a trend,
Knowing no one who can truly be a friend.
They left me so unaccompanied,
My tears were swept away by strong wind,
But I had to face new world that was unaccustomed,
And I was so frail that I wouldn't stand,
The pains in the heart they had to rend.
I may think of the one unabashed,
Who will never dropp me into a pond,
I'm so lonely. Who'll gimme a company that's unbounded?
So true, that never senses the pains behind,

A Caring Person
It takes strong arms
to support the weight
of a breaking heart.
It takes strong shoulders
to comfort someone
with a grieving soul.
It takes a caring person
to be that strong support.
We walk tall throughout the world,
but even a mighty branch can break.
This is when we seek out a caring person,
who can be our supporting frame.
Someone who will stand by us
when all the others have gone,
our support in time of need.
You need strong arms to hug someone
when they feel they cannot go on.
You need strong shoulders for someone to cry on
within their hour of grief.
You need both of these things
just to be the supporting kind.
