Forbidden Love

Because you were enchanted,
You took my great love for granted...
You thought I was a kitten,
But I turned out to be a lion...
Now that you have been bitten,
You realize,
I am made of flesh, not of iron...
Once and for all,
I took your mask off,
Because of your actions,
You turned me off...
I uncovered the secret
In your heart hidden,
Aware that I ate of the fruit
That was forbidden...
Now, brokenhearted,
I sing a different song,
Knowing that to another man
You belong
While with you I am still in love...
At this moment,
Trapped with no choice,
Hoping that he would hears my voice,
I am pleading for help
From the one above...

A Love's Addiction

To your love,
You really got me addicted,
Like I never predicted...
I thought it was a blessing from above,
But, by leaving me alone,
In me, a big wound you inflicted
Leaving me dried and cold like a stone...

Things were so different
When you were around,
When you were so near,
Feeling so secure and without fear...
Thinking about a love so different
I thought I finally found...

Now, alone, my shaking body,
Asks for you in the middle of the night,
When I don't know where you are...
I ask the moon or any star
Of you, to find. I might...
So, to my frighten body
I can give an honest response
While listening to another song...

Brokenhearted now,
No knowing which is worse:
The medication or the decease
Now, stuck with a prescription,
That already expired,
And can no longer be refilled,
I find myself, getting old and tired...
Dealing everyday with my addiction
And the true love for you, I still feel...

0252 To my elder brothers

I think of you more often nowadays, I don’t know why;
how is it now with you?
And are you still somewhere – if you ever were -
that I might talk to you?

Will I one day meet you, talk with you,
and know just how it was?
Or do you, I wonder, ever think of me?
And if you do, do you regret
the fun we never had, the games we never played?

How different, I really wonder, would I be now,
if you were here - well, you’d be getting on now,
but there would be so much to look back on…
(and would our funerals maintain the order of our birth?)

What was it like? Did you have some choice,
that made you turn back when so nearly born?
You know that you were loved, with all the love
that Mum and Dad had poured into their wedding vows,
not so very long before; all the love
poured into each other and their lives…
was there some choice?

Did you hear something
within that cosy cave of flesh – Dad’s angry voice, perhaps,
knowing that this was one event
he wasn’t able to control? So that you turned back
halfway along the scary dark tunnel of love? That’s not a thought
I care to have. But I fought Dad, and just about survived..
and loved him, too, when I was very young…

And Mum – do you, I wonder, think – or know - what it must have been
for her? The biggest tiny present
that she could have given to Dad
taken from them, twice?
Did you know, you second one,
that the first had turned back too?

And so, as some wry joke, I say, when people ask
as people do - meaning always something that’s unsaid -
‘Are you an only child? ’ – I say,
all aggressive-defensive-like,
‘I’m the youngest of three miscarriages…’
and remember – that I never knew you
but I miss you so.

A Song About You

If I could write a song
I’d write a song about you

I would write about how
You’re all I can every think about
How you flood my dreams each night
How thinking of you takes my breath away
When I look up to the satellites

If I could write a song
I’d write a song about you

I would write about how
The long lost butterflies returned
How I hope my number you’ll dial
And how your memory smothers me with smiles

If I could write a song
I’d write a song about you

I would write about how
You were the only one
Who had enough of me to break my heart
And when love took over my heart
You tore it all apart.

If I could write a song
I’d write a song about you

I would write about how
I gave you my heart
Caught up in the thought
That we were off to a great start
But how you threw a damn dart
Right into the center of my heart

If I could write a song
I’d write a song about you
About how you crushed my heart
Not bothering to look back.

If I could write a song
I’d write a song about you

Forbidden Fruit

all the forbidden fruit I ever
dreamt of--or was taught to
resist and fear--ripens and
blossoms under the palms of my
hands as they uncover and explore
you--and in the most secret
corners of my heart as it discovers
and adores you--the forbidden fruit
of forgiveness--the forbidden fruit
of finally feeling the happiness
you were afraid you didn't deserve--
the forbidden fruit of my life's labor
--the just payment I have avoided
since my father taught me how--
the forbidden fruit of the secret
language of our survivors' souls as
they unfold each others secret
ballots--the ones where we voted
for our first secret desires to come
true--there's so much more
I want to say to you--but for
the first time in my life I'm at
a loss for words--because
(I understand at last)
I don't need them
to be heard by you.

Give the Love

Give the love before it’s gone
Give all the love before it’s gone, it’s gone
Before it’s gone by fate

Give the love before it’s faded
Give a whole love before it’s faded, it’s faded
Before it’s faded by time

Give the love before it’s turned
Give the best of love before it’s turned, it’s turned
Before it’s turned to hate

Give the love before it’s erased
Give the sincere love before it’s erased, it’s erased
Before it’s erased by doubt

Give the love before it’s broken
Give the sweet love before it’s broken, it’s broken
Before it’s broken by hurt

Give the love before it’s lost
Give the faithful love before it’s lost, it’s lost
Before it’s lost to temptation

Give the love before it’s changed
Give your dreaming love before it’s changed, it’s changed
Before it’s changed by realization

Give the love before it flies
Give an unbinding love before it flies, it flies
Before it flies by love

Give the love before it’s tired
Give the passionate love before it’s tired, it’s tired
Before it’s tired by coldness

Give the love before it is hidden
Give the touch of love before it is hidden, it’s hidden
Before it is hidden by fear

Give the love before it’s forbidden
Give an innocent love before it’s forbidden, it’s forbidden
Before it’s forbidden by rule

Give the love before it’s indifferent
Give the undying love before it’s indifferent, it’s indifferent
Before it’s indifferent by unrequited

Give the love before it’s shattered
Give a strong love before it’s shattered, it’s shattered
Before it’s shattered by despair

Give the love before it’s crazy
Give the unconditional love before it’s crazy, it’s crazy
Before it’s crazy by blindness

Give the love before it plays
Give the pure love before it plays, it plays
Before it plays with lie

Give the love before it’s forgotten
Give the greatest love before it’s forgotten, it’s forgotten
Before it’s forgotten by people

The Lion Of Love

Calling down the lion of love
Use me
Calling down the lion of love
Use me
So much to say
So much to time and space
I said it load and clear
Plot and make my case
I put it into rhythm
Sculpt it into rhyme
Wrap my secrets in a melody
Fire it at the fortress of your mind
And if after all I sing
You dont believe a thing
Thats alright
We got all night
Calling down the lion of love
Use me
Calling down the lion of love
Use me
Use my heart
Use my hands
Use me any way you can
Calling down the lion of love
So much trouble in the world
So much pain
Ive heard it all before
Ill hear it again
But Im trying to imagine
A world transformed by love
Open up my minds eye
And let the pictures flood
Imagine that its real
What does it look like, how does it feel
Hold the vision
Bring it down, spread it around
Calling down the lion of love
Use me
Calling down the lion of love
Use me
Use my vision
Use my voice
Ive had a vision
And Ive made my choice
Calling down the lion of love

Sing A Song For You My Love

SING A SONG FOR YOU MY LOVE

A lovely song a love song
Sing a song for you my love
Sung in a wonderful soothing voice
Sending a melody message by the dove
Invites you to take your choice

Catch this ultimate chance to share
Truly wherever you will be I’ll dare
Musical notes show how much I care
To loose you I wouldn’t bare

Never ever let me down again
Open up the shutters of your heart
Don’t ask for another bargain
Pull out with strength the poisoned dart

Can this time be meaning for ever
Love has got such strangely ways
No understanding even though being clever
Deep different emotions filling our days

Want to sing a song for you my love
Higher notes song in my voice
Your love places spirit high above
Counting heartbeats final choice

Sing a song for you my love
A lovely song a love song

I Sing

I sing to vent the pain that is sometimes in me
Other times I sing of happiness, jubilation and glee
Sometimes I sing in celebration and can rock out all night long
I sing of love through every ballad and heart wrenching love song
Sometimes I sing a song that is trapped inside my head
I sing it all day long, sometimes until I go to bed
I sing of memories, songs that mark pages in my past
I sing on holidays, great carols that last and last and last
I sing when I am working, then time doesn’t seem so long
I sing when I am lonely, there’s nothing like the comfort of a song
To me, to sing with all my voice is simply a blast
I hope to sing everyday of my life until I breathe my last

In Pursuit Of Happiness

In the pursuit of happiness, ..
I have crossed many bridges…
Climbed many mountains
& traveled many roads;
Some very smooth..
some very bumpy..
I have run very fast…
sometimes very slow…
But, nevertheless,
I have learned my lessons…
I have learned the hard & painful way…
That not all dreams come true..
Happiness becomes a matter.
of the mind and the heart…
Now I cry without tears...
& try to mend my broken heart…

Now I realize..
that where there is an ending..
There is a new beginning..
& what I thought was a loss..
turned out to be..
a blessing from the sky...

Irony

Last night, by accident,
We encountered one another,
You, holding another man's hand…
Me, alone and tired
Getting a little be older
But still in love with you….

I can confess I was very furious,
A thousand thoughts
Came to my mind
While my broken heart
Sounded like a drum…
I made belief it was just a dream
That turned into a nightmare…

I can't any longer hold more pain
Or more feelings for you to spare…
Nothing can be compared
To the great love you inspired in me
And now I only with myself I share…

Last night, I got the strength
To walk away from you
And finally move-on
In my ever changing life
Now only one thing remains to be said:
"Thank you for all the love
And time we once shared"

I Just Didn't Love You

For some Strange reason
I thought you loved me
I guess i was wrong
I thought i loved you
But i loved The song
The song that played when we were together
The song that i wish could last forever
That song was my little secret
I loved that song, i wish could keep it
I promised myself that i wouldn't fall
and i didn't
I just thought i had it all
All i really had was the song
I did have you,
but it turned out you didn't belong
There really isn't any happy endings
I thought it was possible, but who was i kidding
Me and you, we were just pretending
We use to talk on the phone all night
We use to say i love you, but it never felt right
I did love it when we were together
but like they say, nothing lasts forever
I loved how we could talk about everything that's anything
I love how i use to feel when i heard the phone ring
I loved how when i was upset, you always knew exactly what to do
But for some strange reason, i just didn't love you
Our false love is dead
and i realized that song was all in my head

A Love's Desire

In my desperate need
To know of your whereabouts,
I asked the moon about you
And it turned its back on me, ,
Trying to hide behind a cloud...
I also asked the stars
With no response at all...
I had no choice, indeed,
But ask for help from above,
Since, witnesses they were both
Of our passionate love...
Now, stuck with inquire without result,
I am alone, sad and really hurt,
Making everything sounds like a satire,
Getting old and tired...
One question remaining,
Should I give up
Love's matters
And retire?
Her, and the whole world
Have the response...

My Heart

My heart is sad.
My heart is crying.
Without your love,
My heart is dying.

My heart is empty.
My heart is cold.
My once young heart,
Now tired and old

My heart was colorful.
Now turned to gray.
The moment you took,
Your love away.

If things could be different.
I certainly know.
I'd make your heart happy.
I'd make your heart glow.

For your love's now removed.
And I surely can see.
What I once took for granted.
Was a great big part of me.

Weary body

She gave him her dreams,
he made them nightmares.
She gave him her love, he
turned it to hatred, she gave
him her warm kisses, he
turned them into regrets.
She gave him her enthusiasm;
he turned it into distress.
She gave him her sweet hymns;
he turned them into howling wolves.
She gave him the flavor of her
craves, he turned it into bitterness,
She gave him the nectars of her
fruits, he made them go bad.
She gave him her time, he took
it for granted. All she gave, became
in vain; a weary body and broken
lies, are the only truth she has to
confront. Her heart was still alive
she gave it to him, he took it in
warm blood, and let it bleed to death.

Song For Mary

Written by: james henman
When I try to find
Words that wish to rhyme
I will never write this song for her tonight
We have stood alone
We have walked alone
Wont you help write this song for her tonight
Help me write this song
Help me write this song
Help me write her song
Tonight
When I try to pray
I cant start to say
All those things I wish to say to her tonight
When she hears her song
She will sing along
She will know the words her heart for me to find
Will you help write this song
Help me write this song
Help me sing her song
Tonight
All these words Ive said
Lyin on my bed
Will they help me sleep alone again tonight
And we have walked alone
We have talked alone
Will you help me sing her song for her tonight
Will you help me sing her song
Help me sing her song
Help me sing her song

Holy Woman!

Quietly sitting
In my chamber of solitude,
Old memories from my mind retrieving
And coping with a sadness of great magnitude...

O Holy Woman! I am thinking of you!

I think of you and I get the chill,
Trying so hard to put into words
What at this moment I really feel
And expose it to the entire world...

O Holy Woman! thinking of you, I will always!

Emptiness has invaded my heart,
Since I no longer see your face...
Feeling blue now that we are apart,
Knowing no other woman can take your place...

O Holy Woman! thinking of you I will always!

You gave me life and plenty of love,
You taught me to see the difference
Between right and wrong...
You never treated me with indifference,
To you, I dedicate this poem
While I imagine you smiling above...

O Holy Woman! thinking of you, always!

O Holy Woman! a part of me has died,
Since you have been gone,
For you, my eyes many times have cried,
Now, I place a yellow rose on your headstone...

O Holy Woman! without you there is not home!
O Holy Woman! for you I will always pray!
Aware that my time will also come,
Hoping to see you again in that special day! ...

I Will Not Be There

One day you will go back
To one of those familiar places
We used to go frequently
And sit down again on the same bench
That still clearly preserves our names
Encrypted inside a heart
Now, motionless and brokenhearted
Perhaps deeply thinking about me
But I will be not be there
Like before, kissing you passionately
For I have been gone forever
Gone with the wind

As proof, my dear
I left my footprints behind
Deeply hidden in your heart and mind
And the red rose one day you gave me
I threw it in the wild river
Long time ago and by now
It should be already gone for always

You turned my heart into a stone
And gave me no other choice
But to run away from you
And move forward facing the Sun
Where I will find a new horizon
That will lead me to the right one
The one who will love me with great passion
The one now in my dream
But one day will become my reality

Soulful Beats

Can I write a song with words that bring the beat to life with rhythm that feels alive deep into the core of your soul? The meaning hidden and buried for another intellect to feel the magic with the cords of there heart like my lover that smiles at me as the rain dances around her, above her, with her. She is my reason for this verse, this chorus, this repeat of a string of melodies that always see the light in her. She does not belong here in this place of confusion and misdirection of the minds.

She belongs in the arms of nature, smiling at the sky and watching all the beautiful universe pass her by. She is not a copy of perfection, yet she is not perfect, but seems to belong to an imperfect person. I cannot write a song without her eyes of knowledge that has read me through the years to make me a book of holiness to her. The music is between us and plays as we play. It is our love song, wedding song, anniversary song, birth song, happy ever after song and a funeral song. She hums the tune when she loves me and it our song that sings together that we are happy.
