Awakingness
I cannot stay away
From sunny afternoons,
Passing weather-less days
In suffocating rooms...
There is more company
In the solace of God
Myself beside myself
Caressed by grass unshod...
Unhappy banishment!
Lurid society
An imposition bent
Of stiff variety...
The soul needs affection
From a credible source
Not a mere distraction,
But a redemptive course...

Rubbish, written rubbish
I can't show it to anyone I know
They'll get the wrong idea,
They'll think I am fatalistic,
A desperate soul...
(But isn't he clever!)
Too bad he can't control his thoughts
They should be more like ours
We are society, the community,
We dictate the acceptable attitude,
The right way to think and write...
But who-are we
But individuals, first
And finally individuals
Suffocating from individualism...
Or lack of it-...!

A lover laments
Do not leave me love
Please stay with me longer
Do not hastily go and rush to the world yonder
To the place in heaven and angles soaring above
Do not leave me love
Please be with me on my final path decline
Keep up your strength and trailing devoted sign
Be to my final end, be my enduring cherished dove
Do not leave me love
To roam in empty house of dusty suffocating rooms
With cracking doors, talking to your ghosts and shadows
Of happy past days before this time of age and doom
Do not abandon me love at night nor at dawn
Let me not attend your horrible ceremony
Oh heart break, Oh crushing agony
Just to hear the coils cracks when you are lowered down
Do not leave me love before my time comes
Talk to me of days of joy and courtship young under sunrise
when the look of fire in your eyes looms and rises
To amaze and to stun all beholders and ever some
Yet me think if I can kindly ask the lord
That he takes us both together, swiftly at once
So we together as always be as one
To avoid this dreadful ceremony we each cannot afford

In the inferno of my love session
In the inferno of my love session
And in the madness of my passion
It was heedless on my part
To empower and to delegate authority to my heart
Once bestowed merely on my reason
Herein my reasons I construe
Because my feelings were so full and overwhelming
I could see you in my soul
So much in my soul whole
That I spoke to you within my soul
To such madness I had come
In the blessing of your love
That even imagined your slightest boon
Could drive me to delirium
This I find in my affection
And even more that I cannot convey
But you, from all I did not say
Will sense the love beyond expression

The willow
How beautiful is the willow in April gown
Delicate and gleaming under the sun
Never minding the seasons and years gone
It stands, long flowery drippings and soft wind sigh
Spring does not call me as it use to
With sprouts in vast meadows and balmy flowers of variety hues
No more shall I renew myself with the world every spring
With heavy leafy boughs crowded with birds in sing
Willow, Willow sway, twinkle, lull in the sun
Your leaves, same leaves of my past days gone
Welcome me as the spring use to in wild laugh and fun
Oh let me answer the spring again for my days are still undone

A Silly Love Poem
Come hither,
Come hither my love
When the infant sun shines
And promises a sunny weather.
Come hither. Come hither...
Come hither,
Come hither my love
When the moon beams
In the company of multitude
And she promises a beam-soaked weather.
Come hither. Come hither...
Come hither,
Come hither my love
When the spring sets in
With a fragrant fanfare
And sensuous is the weather,
Come hither. Come hither...
Come hither,
Come hither my love
When the clouds run errands
For their master and
When lightening is the harbinger
And lively is the weather,
Come hither. Come hither...
Come hither,
Come hither my love
When autumn makes me lonely
In the soul of my creative pang
Be my soul-mate all-weather,
And come hither. Come hither...
Shall I care?
Shall I care at all, that in the dreams and in the languor of time
My poetry does not show me and my inner most being and prime
For my poems are fragrance, and not a credible reflection
Words like shadows in disharmony dance and daunt imagination
But I do care, for life will be over so soon,
And I will be lost, forgotten as my being never happen
Like a small candle in mid day bright noon
And my quill idle, blunt and not sharpen
yet, like barley bending in harsh summer winds throng
And rising again and again
So would I, free and unbroken rise from agony and pain
Day long, night long change my sorrow into words of song

Goodbye Dear Friend
Goodbye Dear Friend
Goodbye dear friend
Until we meet again
Promise to keep you in my heart forever
And cherish all the memories we have shared together
Goodbye dear friend
We may travel in separate ways
I promise forever our friendship will stay
I may find and meet somebody
But the friendship we have will reminds me everyday
Goodbye dear friend
I may be far, far away
But in my mind and in my heart
Forever you will stay
Goodbye dear friend
Until we meet again …..

A day at the zoo
Watch the animals, or us, in their or our daily routine
locked up for ever behind bars by people so mean
Life without meaning for them and for us.
One long and sluggish being without a fuss
When we go to the zoo, my lover claims
innocently without malice or any aims
That the people around the cages
can be studied for years and even ages
Here in the possession of my eyes
the glorious object of my attention lies
A most beautiful, nonparallel, tall lass
Studied curiously by a gorilla nibbling on tuft of grass
He can nimble and stare as much as he can
This beauty and grace is not in his clan
What may dare he think? She is more for me than for him
But at that moment the jealousy of my companian grows to its brim
without hesitation, with one resolute hand
She snatches me off my fantasy land
'Men you have a brain of one cell
which can answer to one and only bell'
Tut, this maneuver I strongly contest
The personality of the ape was the mere goal of my quest.
After such a nerve-raking rift a hiatus is in declare
And comfort to the fatigue legs is offered by near by stair
The steaming odors of food into the vaults of air float
No doubt makes the empty stomach takes a note
It was not a French cosine that lured me forth
But it still came as a pleasant breeze of the North
And so we sit to eat all variety of smoked meat
Amid the crowd of all specimens of man lunching taking no heed

Never Put Me On That List
You're much more like a mannequin,
With feelings just too stiff!
So don't you ever...
Oh no.
Think you're here to save me.
You come across reserved,
As if it's something done on purpose.
But don't ever...
Oh no.
Think you're here to save me.
Don't ever...
No no.
Think you're here to see me pleased.
Don't you ever...
Oh no.
Believe it's you I need.
I'll never...
Ever,
Seek your company!
You're much more like a mannequin,
With feelings just too stiff!
But don't you ever...
Oh no.
Think that you're here to save me.
And forever,
Please...
I want you to believe it!
Don't you ever...
No no.
Put me on that list.
You come across reserved,
As if you do it with a purpose.
But don't ever...
No no.
Think you're here to save me.
Don't you ever...
Oh no.
Think you're here to leave me pleased.
No, never...
Oh no.
Believe it's you I need.
I'll never...
No no.
Seek your company!
So don't you ever...
Never!
Put me on that list!
Please don't you ever...
Never!
Put me on that list!
No, don't you ever...
And never,
Put me on that list!

Impressions
The heart, which is wiser,
Needs no mind's inclination
When impressions
Must be first
To be given consideration
Before they are weighed
And valued for application,
Else, shadows of thought
Cast over an imposition,
Deeper than reason
Penetrating imagination….

The Lonesome Traveler
The Lonesome Traveler
(Dedicated to a very good friend)
The weather was foggy and the sky in tears
You, snoozing in your crib, as though, all were perfect.
Clean shaved and yet well dressed; in your isolated heart,
You were ready to pass through the clouds in peace.
For the past years, you felt highly submissive,
And one of these days, you'd have no choice but to reach heaven.
Oh! It is sad to take off alone.
Oh! It is strange that all will forget you, once they leave.
Living, you loved flowers, women, and bust;
I wonder how you're going to deal with new realities,
Because in a few, you'll become dust
That can nourish the air, the flowers and the bees.
The weather was gray and misty this autumnal day,
It was sad to witness your sentence at the sepulture;
At once, you were well wrapped up by Mother Nature.
In this morbid and monotonous universe, you went astray…

For George...
(In Memory of the Reverend George Potter...)
How do I tell the world you've gone
Old friend, with never a tear,
When we knew each other for ever so long
In the world that spins out there,
For we rubbed along with an easy grace
And you taught me how to pray,
I thought that you'd see me out, old friend,
But death has snatched you away!
I mind when the stage of life was full
And we bent our backs to the toil,
When the days and the nights weren't long enough
And we burned the midnight oil,
When we schemed and dreamed of a better world,
And we played our part throughout,
With what it took, with a wing and a prayer
We saw it all work out!
The years went by and I saw you still
When you called, with that friendly smile,
And a joy it was in those afternoons
When we'd talk a measured mile,
I thought you'd always be there for me,
A friendship forged in steel,
For friends are few when the friend is true,
But the friend in you was real.
But now the shadows have lengthened at
The long, hard end of things,
As I sit in the shaded garden seat
And wait for the pain it brings,
But how do I tell the world you've gone
Old friend, with never a tear,
With my eyes awash at your memory,
As you're laid to rest out there?

To Mother Dear on Mother’s Day 2010
We miss you mother dear, it’s true!
You were alive just days ago;
You vanished like the morning dew;
You’re gone to be with God, we know!
The love and care, you gave us, mom,
We know we can never repay;
Your lullabies in ears still hum;
We wish we could meet you some day!
From dawn till dusk, you slogged for us;
Oh, what a fine mother, you’ve been!
You walked more than going by bus;
You showed us how to avoid sin.
Oh, mother dear! Oh, mother dear!
You were a star upon this earth;
You seem afar and yet so near;
We thank you God for mother’s birth!
By death, you are just gone awhile;
We’ll pray for you the rest of life;
You successfully ran your mile,
As God helped you confront all strife.
We pray, your soul must rest in peace;
May Blessed Virgin bless you dear;
We hope our painful days soon cease,
May God take off our ever fear!
Fondly dedicated to my sweet mother,

Why Have You Begun To Speak
Why have you begun to speak
In this season
The faith of friends
Has not flowered yet...
So where are you going
So fast my dear friend?
Only you got the answer...

Grey Skies In July
We are now well in to the month of July,
But above my head, there's a leaden sky.
For days on end, it has constantly rained,
And I must say that it's a right old pain.
Every time that I step out of my door,
The Heavens open and it begins to pour.
This awful weather is getting me down:
My once sunny smile has turned to a frown.
When it rains, it rains nearly all the day long;
For the middle of summer, it feels so wrong.
In July, we should be getting long days of sun,
But, so far, this month, we've had hardly none.
I hate these days which are dreary and dull;
With this wet weather, there is hardly a lull.
It was on the radio, that I heard one morning,
Half of Britain had severe weather warnings.
Around the sodden streets, everyone rushes.
Packed to full capacity, are our local buses.
I dare not leave home without my coat.
Very soon, I'll be needing to buy a boat!
Like many others, I don't mind confessing,
That I find this weather pretty depressing.
I want this weather to be over and done:
Rain every single day, is certainly no fun.
They say that sunny weather is on its way,
And I'm really looking forward to that day.
Let us all hope that, for the rest of July,
We'll see some sun and bright blue skies.

The Green Fairy (Absinthe)
The Green Fairy visits me
From an apothecary jar
And gives to me
a Commoner’s taste of heaven
Libations for one and all
In close proximity
not from afar.
In smoke filled rooms
Of curling delights
I see diamonds
Reflected in all the lights
And Illumination
From the green glow
Possessed by the café’s glasses.
All is forgiven and forgotten
Within those walls of shame
There is a warmth and a comfort
To all its dismay…
As night turns toward midnight…
and midnight runs toward day.
There is no real obscure focus…
No magical hocus pocus
No real concentration of veritable belief
That the green fairy hides behind.
As absinthe begins and then continues on
to rule my body and my mind
And spirits me away
To a life of shortened days
But hours lengthened by the devotion
To The Green Fairy.

Truths and lies
This suffocating ache rises to my throat
This rushing horrible thought
A Mountain sits on my lips
would not let my secret slip
Stay coward stay shy
An infant so naive would not cry
Submit to your eyes beguile
And let it walks you through this dark aisle
Not an inward gnawing question asked
The whole world before you is masked
Darkness is your light
Lies are your guide
Hash no more words, they would reveal
what your heart crave so much to conceal
Hark no more lines up to this point
Where truth and lie, two adversaries reluctantly joint
