Windows open, though doors shut
You find in me what you don’t find in him,
I find in you what I don’t find in her,
And, by that we are drawn to each other.
Each of us locked in safe room,
With the key in masters’ hands,
We peep at each other through windows.
Modern houses provide more windows.
No such sultry. No smoulder either.

The Windows
In these dark chambers here what weary days
I spend, walk up and down as in a maze
To find the windows.----Only to unclose
One of these windows will be some relief.---
But somehow windows this room hasn’t got,
Or I can’t find them. Perhaps I’ better not.
Perhaps the light would be another grief.
What fresh surprises ther might be, who knows?

Where The River Flows
Music : rudolf schenker
Lyrics: klaus meine
Under suburban skies
Where life is bleeding
Where concrete skies are grey
Theres plenty of room for dreaming
I still keep coming here
Follow those traces
I travel back in time
Remember all those places
Feels like I never left
The houses still standing
Down by the river where
The dreams are never ending
You find me
You find me
You find me by the river
You find me
You find me
You find me where the river flows
Under the silent moon
This industrial city
Is heartland even though
Lifes been not that pretty
I still keep coming here
To that old river
To find my roots just where
The future lives forever
You find me
You find me
You find me by the river
You find me
You find me
You find me, you can find me
By the river where dreams will never die
By the river under suburban skies
You find me
You find me
You find me by the river
You find me
You find me
You find me where the river flows
By the river where dreams have never died
By the river I look through childrens eyes
You find me
You find me
You find me by the river
You find me
You find me
You find me where the river flows
You find me
You find me
You find me by the river
You find me
You find me
You find me where the river flows
Where the river flows
Where the river flows
Where the river flows

There Is This Secret Room Of My Life
there is this secret room in my life
that will always be closed
it is mine, and no one gets in for in so doing
they shall find me
and if they find me inside this dark room
without windows
as they open and i am there and there will be too much light
to hurt my eyes
have pity
for i shall die.

Shake, Shudder
(ron wood, ronnie lane)
Well I shake and I shudder and I shiver
In my bath while its cold and my windows are broken,
As my poor dog lays a-chokin on the floor.
Well I cried to my father and my mother,
Theres no justice divine, I wonder when I get mine.
cause Im so sick and tired of waitin for the lord.
I find just what it is Im looking for
Ooh hoo hoo
Oh yeah
Theres a man that wants to show me the river.
Hoofing at five Ill be more dead than alive.
I find a reason to survive when Im too old.
Should I walk in the lightning and the thunder
On a hilltop so high and show my face to the sky ?
Will I find just what it is Im looking for ?
I find just what it is Im looking for
I find just what it is Im looking for
I find just what it is

Trying
Could you let down your hair
And be transparent for a while
Just a little while
See if your human after all
Honesty is a hard attribute to find
When we all want to seem like we've got it all figured out
I may be the first to say that I don't have a clue
I don't have all the answers
And god I pretend like I do just
Trying to find my way
Trying to find my way the best that I know how
Well I haven't memorized all the cute things to say
But I'm working on it
Maybe I'll master this art for today
I'd I qoute all the line off the top of my head
And you'd be
I dont understand all of these things Ive read
I'm just trying to find my way
Trying to find my way
Trying to find my way the best that I know how
Well I havent drawn it or figured out quite yet
But even if it takes my whole life
To get to where I need to be
And if I should fall to the bottom of the end
I'll be one step back to you
I'm trying to find my way
Trying to find my way
Oh

San Antonio
san antonio
lead us to a place
where we are lost
and let us find
the way where we
can find our
way back home:
an empty space
a nothingness
a place where the
walls are not painted
where the doors are
not locked where the
windows look out
into an open universe
where all of us
are alive with living
fires where we become
shooting stars that
children see whose
mothers tell them:
make a wish!

Gotta Find Me A Better Day
I been gettin lonely, too much these days.
I been gettin lonely, I guess I better get away.
But where can I go thats real? lifes a stage on a ferris wheel.
And the actors are all fighting just to see who gets the lead in the play.
Oh, no, no.
I gotta find me a better day.
Talk about down, I feel so lonely.
Talk about down, Im startin to worry.
Dont really want to be all alone. I cant get along with the chicks at home.
The world just dont seem right, my head is spinnin, and I hate whats goin down.
You gotta find me a better day.
Oh, gotta find me a better day.
Gotta find me a better day.
You gotta find me a better day.
Gotta find me a better day.
Gotta find me a better day.
Gotta find me a better day.
You gotta find me a better day.
Gotta find me a better day.
Gotta find, gotta find,
Gotta find me a better day.
Gotta find, gotta find,
Gotta find,
Gotta find me a better day.
Gotta find me a better day.
Gotta find me a better day.
Gotta find me a better day.
Gotta find me a better day.

Wistfully Watching
They explore the world
through windows,
church windows,
school windows,
two up, two down windows,
castle windows,
large windows,
small windows.
They see it all,
from blameless to guilty,
from noble to treacherous,
through windows.
From skyscraper windows,
to basement flat windows,
from paupers windows,
and palace windows
they watch, absorb, suck it in.
Later when they have grown
they will remember,
try to empathise,
rationalise
decipher the coded metaphors,
but some day
they will be demoralised
by the windows of life.
There they sit __ wistfully watching __
the children
of our times.

All Of A Sudden
(andy partridge)
What can i say?
Why do we starve a thing thats near extinction?
From day to day,
These weeds of fear,
Are choking our conviction,
Life's like a jig-saw,
You get the straight bits,
But there's something missing in the middle.
All of a sudden,
We find the cupboard's bare.
All of a sudden,
We find heaven's not there.
All of a sudden,
We find the sun's gone cold.
All of a sudden
We find we're more than old.
All of a sudden,
We find that we've lost love,
So please don't push or shove because,
It's too late,
It's too late,
In all your hurry you've accidentally locked the gate
What can we do?
Trying to stem the flow of sand is useless.
It's up to you start holding hands,
And watch the balance redress,
Life's like a firework,
You're only lit once,
And you must stand and radiate correctly.
All of a sudden,
We find the cupboard's bare.
All of a sudden,
We find heaven's not there.
All of a sudden,
We find the sun's gone cold.
All of a sudden
We find we're more than old.
All of a sudden,
We find that we've lost love,
So please don't push or shove because,
It's too late,
It's too late,
In all your hurry you've accidentally locked the gate
Love's not a product you can hoard or pack a suitcase with,
It's more a way you have to give.
All of a sudden,
We find the cupboard's bare.
All of a sudden,
We find heaven's not there.
All of a sudden,
We find the sun's gone cold.
All of a sudden
We find we're more than old.
All of a sudden,
We find that we've lost love,
So please don't push or shove because,
It's too late,
It's too late,
In all your hurry you've accidentally locked the gate your hurry you've accidentally locked the gate.

In The Ashes!
break out the windows,
kick down the doors!
stack all the old furniture...
and set fire to it!
the windows....
...through which we stared at life
......safe from its touch!
the doors....
....we closed in our fear
......of who we are
.......and what we see
...........in each other.
the furniture....
....we sat on and laid on
.......while the cries of the struggling
.........and the hands of the hungry
.............reached out...
the fire....
...that burns apathy with pure compassion
.......burns the lie of self till we find
.........the faces of God in the ashes!

Territorial Pissing
Come on people now
Smile on your brother
Everybody get together
Try to love one another
Right now"
When i was an alien
Cultures were not opinions
Gotta find a way, to find a way, when i'm there
Gotta find a way, a better way, i'd better wait
Never met a wise man
If so it's a woman
Gotta find a way, to find a way, when i'm there
Gotta find a way, a better way, i'd better wait
Gotta find a way, to find a way, when i'm there
Gotta find a way, a better way, i'd better wait
Just because you're paranoid
Don't mean they're not after you
Gotta find a way, to find a way, when i'm there
Gotta find a way, a better way, i'd better wait
Gotta find a way, to find a way, when i'm there
Gotta find a way, a better way, i'd better wait
Gotta find a way, to find a way, when i'm there

Im but a lad, oh for Im twenty, tuned in to dreaming
Gazing at your sign, for mad men only, my poets screaming
I searched for you, but I cant find you
I searched for you, but I cant find you
Take me to the wild black seas of madness, the savage dancer
Clothe me in insanity and leave me, to find the answer
I searched for you, but I cant find you
I searched for you, but I cant find you
I searched for you, but I cant find you
I searched for you, but I cant find you
I searched for you, but I cant find you
I searched for you, but I cant find you

Find Life
Find Love
It is the beauty of this life.
Find Peace
It is the anchor in any strife.
Find Hope
It will carry you through.
Find Friendship
They give joy, who are true.
Find Laughter
It is health for your mind.
Find Comfort
Even when you have been left behind.
Find Forgiveness
It always will set you free.
But the most important really
Never ever find... Fault.

Find Your Way Back
You know its been a long long road
Since I packed up and left on my own
And I can carry a heavy load
Just try n get back to her heart
I sure aint got no home
I seem to find love where I ramble
And when its time to go
I hear that voice again, say n
Chorus:
Find your way back
Find your way back to her heart
Find your way back
Find your way back to her heart
Leave a message with the rain
You can find me where the wind blows
The snow across the pain
And the frost upon the heart
You got no place to be
Still you wonder where youre goin
And why I had to leave
I hear a voice and it says to me
Find your way back
Find your way back to her heart
Find your way back
Find your way back to her heart
To her heart, cmon
I know its too late now
But I wish I could go back in time
And start all over somehow
And get it right from the start
Find your way back
Find your way back to her heart
Find your way back
Find your way back to her heart
Find your way back (find your way back) find your way back
Find your way back (find your way back) find your way back

Sonnet 24: “Mine eye hath played the painter and hath stelled…”
Mine eye hath played the painter and hath stelled,
Thy beauty's form in table of my heart,
My body is the frame wherein 'tis held,
And perspective it is best painter's art.
For through the painter must you see his skill,
To find where your true image pictured lies,
Which in my bosom's shop is hanging still,
That hath his windows glazed with thine eyes:
Now see what good turns eyes for eyes have done,
Mine eyes have drawn thy shape, and thine for me
Are windows to my breast, where-through the sun
Delights to peep, to gaze therein on thee;
Yet eyes this cunning want to grace their art,
They draw but what they see, know not the heart.

Wish I Could Fly
Halfway through the night,
I wake up in a dream
Echoes in my head,
Make every whisper turn into a scream
I dreamed I could fly, out in the blue
Over this town, following you
Over the trees, subways and cars
Id try to find out who you really are
In the middle of the night,
Cool sweatin in my bed
Got the windows open wide,
Thinkin about all the things you said
I wish I could fly, out in the blue
Over this town, following you
Id fly over rooftops, the great boulevards
To try to find out who you really are
Who you really are
Who you really are
I wish I could fly now
I wish I could fly now
I wish I could fly, around and around
Over this town, the dirt on the ground
Id follow your course of doors left ajar
To try to find out who you really are
To try to find out who you really are
I wish I could fly
