Why are some great?
The mass and the velocity
Determine an object's movement.
A winged seed travels,
Thanks to the lighter mass.
A bullet travels fast,
Thanks to the velocity.
Successful men are more
From their velocity,
The capacity to spread,
Than from the worthiness
Of their deliveries.
No man can become great
Without maneuvering power.

The great weight of the ship may indeed prevent her from acquiring her greatest velocity; but when she has attained it, she will advance by her own intrinsic motion, without gaining any new degree of velocity, or lessening what she has acquired.

We're on the same radius from the Earth, and then we start to swing around to where we're ahead of them on the velocity vector, so we come in relative to the station from this forward velocity position and dock on to the forward end of the Lab.

We shall probably never attain the power of measuring the velocity of nervous action; for we have not the opportunity of comparing its propagation through immense space, as we have in the case of light.

Windmills, which are used in the great plains of Holland and North Germany to supply the want of falling water, afford another instance of the action of velocity. The sails are driven by air in motion - by wind.

The Traveller
Reply to Rudyard Kipling’s ‘He travels the fastest who travels alone.’
Who travels alone with his eye on the heights,
Though he laughs in the day time oft weeps on the nights;
For courage goes down at the set of the sun,
When the toil of the journey is all borne by one.
He speeds but to grief though full gaily he ride
Who travels alone without love at his side.
Who travels alone without lover of friend
But hurries from nothing, to naught at the end.
Though great be his winnings and high be his goal,
He is bankrupt in wisdom and beggared in soul.
Life’s one gift of value to him is denied
Who travels alone without love at his side.
It is easy enough in this world to make haste
If one live for that purpose – but think of the waste;
For life is a poem to leisurely read,
And the joy of the journey lies not in its speed.
Oh! vain his achievement and petty his pride
Who travels alone without love at his side.

I like physics. I think it is the best science out of all three of them, because generally it's more useful. You learn about speed and velocity and time, and that's all clever stuff.

A beautiful scenery of relation
The car is mine; I drive it; It runs; Am I not related with the car speed sitting inside when it runs? yes, the velocity of the car has enveloped me; The body of the car is my body; I must take care of me-car body so that it would not collide with other things on the road.
The speed is me-contained
The speed is car-contained
The car is powerless! It has no choice by itself; Just runs as I drive it; And it is me who stimulates the car but when it runs, it runs together with me; At that time the speed of the car and the speed of mine is one dynamism.
My car is running on the road of the Earth;
The Earth has a velocity; It is running with all phenomenon it has
The speed of the Earth is me-contained, and car-contained too.
What a nice scenery! I am strung with all phenomenon here on the Earth! I am separated but joined, I am enclosed with nature but freed; I am related with all dynamism!

Lost Love’s Distance
The astrophysicist aimed the telescope at Antares.
Oh, this red giant of the Milky Way Galaxy is so beautiful, he said.
Almost as bright as the stars Aldebaran and Regulus.
Have a look, he told his assistant.
Almost as bright as the star Aldebaran and Regulus,
Repeated the assistant.
Yes, the professor said, it shines like a brilliant diamond
in the night sky, surrounded by colorful cosmic clouds
And winding dust lanes.
Then five years elapsed and one moonless night
The astrophysicist again aimed his telescope at Antares.
But he could not concentrate as his thoughts
Constantly returned to his lost love.
One chilly day he met her at a cozy restaurant.
They sat and ate and sipped their coffee and talked.
You were once so close to me, he said to her.
Yet now you are drifting more and more away.
I feel as if you were farther away than Antares.
You know how far it is?
Yes, I know, she said. You were a good teacher.
Antares is about 250 light-years distant from the Earth.
That’s pretty far away since light travels very fast,
At a velocity of 300,000 kilometers each second.
In other words the distance between us
Is 250 times 10 trillion kilometers, and still growing.
Then the waiter came and brought them the bill.
