To get or not, one lures.
We spend more and more for our looks
Maybe, it is to lure the opposite.
If so, by marriage it should be over.
But we prolong it even after that.
Growing old and old, we spend more and more.
To lure is sex bound; no taboo can kill it.

Exposure loses lustre.
A sophisticated, popular woman
Is beset, pestered with, and seduced
By men’s eyes. It is not uncommon.
Immune thus she grows to men’s lure,
With a kind of impotency, self donned.
Such women can by their image spur millions.
But in bed, they are dead like sleeping partners.
Post marriage, famous women have sad stories behind.
Their husbands had had miserable ends.
The one spent in vision
is a spent one in mission.

Value declines in nearness.
The Taj Mahal to its gardener has no charm.
The idol to its priest has no awe.
A graceful wife to her husband has no lure.
Why must he be in search of a pretty wife?

You shade your shadow.
When I think of moon
its waning does not come to my mind.
When I think of fish
its thorn does not come to my mind.
When I think of my longevity
its gravity does not come to my mind.
When I think of you, dear,
your lure discounts your evasiveness.
Be a tree. I want shade,
not any flower, fruit or seeds of you.

Freeness kills the spirit
Soon after television came into being,
Movies were shone seldom; so are their songs.
Now in multitude, they go cheap with no takers..
Don’t crave for free sex, which will kill its lure.

I write for myself.
I write for a name and fame
and not for penny or tummy.
I feel well while I pen verses.
It fills me with a kind of pride..
I am alert by heart.
I am alert by intellect.
I love the young and live young.
I learn my mental faculty.
I spend endlessly my time.
And spend painlessly money.
I have feeling of well being.
as they buy me youth and health,
with head upright while I walk..

Dice is not God’s game.
‘God does not play with dice.’
Whether you turn wise or a vice,
Whether you lure Him with praise
He will not play you with dice.
Who is just? Who is worth? -
He is not afflicted with.
Reward and punishment is not his job.
Your birth and death are alike.
So are your ups and downs, mind.
The game of dice, you devised,
Where he has no part to play.

Keep Your Lure In The Water
Chorus:
Keep your lure in the water,
Don't just sit by the shore
There are souls to be caught
Everywhere in this old world
Go where hearts are plenty,
Don't just drift with the tide
Keep your lure in the water,
In the waters of life
The lord said, "Simon, haul your nets in
From now on you're a fisher of men"
Well, I like fishin',
That's why it caught my ear
The Lord knew how to get to me
And what I'd need to hear
Chous:
Keep your lure in the water,
Don't just sit by the shore
There are souls to be caught
Everywhere in this old world
Go where hearts are plenty,
Don't just drift with the tide
Keep your lure in the water,
In the waters of life
--- Instrumental ---
Well the sea is troubled
And it's hard to stay afloat
And you feel like Jesus
Is sleeping in the boat
Don't you dare give up
On the Prince of Peace
And in the middle of the storm
You will find a sweet release
Chorus:
Keep your lure in the water,
Don't just sit by the shore
There are souls to be caught
Everywhere in this old world
Go where hearts are plenty,
Don't just drift with the tide
Keep your lure in the water,
In the waters of life
Chorus:
Yeah, Keep your lure in the water,
Don't just sit by the shore
There are souls to be caught
Everywhere in this old world
Go where hearts are plenty,
Don't just drift with the tide
Keep your lure in the water,
In the waters of life
Yeah, keep your lure in the water,
In the waters of life...

The Lure Of Writing
The lure of writing
is not an easy one to break
once it has you in its grip.
It won’t let you go,
make no mistake.
You can struggle all you want,
but you can never win.
You can turn your back on it
saying I will never write again,
but you will.
The lure of writing
is not and easy one to break,
it will seduce you with dreams
and no matter how many times
they are crushed
the lure of writing
will draw you back again
and again and again.

Rock Me, Roll Me
Have you ever been in love before
With a beautiful woman?
Does she have insecurities?
And have you ever been in love before
With a needy woman?
Is she too controlling?
She only wants you to
Rock me (she only wants you to)
Roll me (she only needs you to)
Spend a little more time
Spend a little more time
Rock me (she only wants you to)
Roll me (she only needs you to)
Spend a little more time
Spend a little more time with me
I need ya babe
I need ya babe
Have you ever been in love before with a cheatin woman?
Is she always lying?
Now, you ever been in love before with a crazy woman?
Does she make you crazy?
She only wants you to
Rock me (she only wants you to)
Roll me (she only needs you to)
Spend a little more time
Spend a little more time
Rock me (she only wants you to)
Roll me (she only needs you to)
Spend a little more time
Spend a little more time with me
Thats all I wanrt you to do with me, baby
Love me
Spend a little more time
Spend a little more time
Oh yeah, yeah
Spend a little more time
Spend a little more time
And I only wanna know
I only want to know your loves for real
Be your only girl in this whole wide world, yeah
All of these things are just a part of me
So that you can see what women really need
And I need to be loved
Rock me (she only wants you to)
Roll me (she only needs you to)
Spend a little more time
Spend a little more time
Rock me (she only wants you to)
Roll me (she only needs you to)
Spend a little more time
Spend a little more time with me

Lets Spend The Night Together
Well, dont you worry bout whats been on my mind
Im in no hurry I can take my time
Im going red and my tongues getting tired
Out of my head and my mouths getting dry
Im hi-hi-hi-high
Lets spend the night together
Now I need you more than ever
Lets spend the night together now
I feel so strong that I cant disguise, oh my
Well, I just cant apologise, no
Dont hang me up but dont let me down
We could have fun just by fooling around, and around and around and a
Lets spend the night together
Now I need you more than ever
Lets spend the night together now
Oh
You know Im smiling baby
You need some guide baby
Im just deciding baby
Lets spend the night together
Now I need you more than ever
Lets spend the night together now
This doesnt happen to me every day
No excuses Ive got anyway, heh
Ill satisfy your every need
And Ill know youll satisfy me, oh my-my-my my-my
Lets spend the night together
Now I need you more than ever
Lets spend the night together
Now I need you more than ever
Lets spend the night together
Now I need you more than ever
Lets spend the night together
They said we were too young
Our kind of love was no fun
But our love comes from above
Do it!
Lets make love
Hoo
Lets spend the night together
Now I need you more than ever
Lets spend the night together, now

Earth Again
They are incomprehensible, the things of this earth.
The lure of waters. The lure of fruits.
Lure of two breasts and the long hair of a maiden.
In rouge, in vermillion, in that color of ponds
Found only in the Green Lakes near Wilno.
An ungraspable multitudes swarm, come together
In the crinkles of tree bark, in the telescope's eye,
For an endless wedding,
For the kindling of eyes, for a sweet dance
In the elements of air, sea, earth, and subterranean caves,
So that for a short moment there is no death
And time does not unreel like a skein of yarn
Thrown into an abyss.

Materialism
What is materialism?
Affluence and lavishness,
Extravagance and pomposity,
Hoarding and possessiveness,
Or miserliness or being a spendthrift?
No,
Swindling to spend,
Smuggling to spend
and wasting the abundance.
Can’t you avoid materialism?

Harm not if help not.
You need not kill thirst and hunger.
But you can kill greed and pride.
You need not spill love and help.
But you can still hate and hurts.
Then the society is not hit.

The mode of attraction
He is struck by her sight;
He is lured by her curves;
He is aroused by her image.
Her flesh is his ultimate.
She is nonchalant at first;
She is moved in company;
She is aroused in sequences.
His hold is her ultimate.
A visual stimulus of woman
Is enough to arouse a man.
Amorous sequences of events
Are needs to arouse a woman.
Mere porn can lure a man;
But in story form, it lures a woman.
He wants to hold;
She wants a hold.

Words From A Husband To A Wife (Envelope Couplet Sestets)
Spend your time with me until the night end
as we attend a party at the house of a friend
smile and talk to me as if I am someone else
laugh merrily at the jokes our host tells,
while you dance with me where the stairs bend,
spend your time with me until the night end.
Spend your time with me until the night end
smile coyly while a drink I recommend,
treat me like a stranger you have just met
while our eyes are just on each other set,
let your glance shy before mind descend,
spend your time with me until the night end.
Spend your time with me until the night end
even if our friends do not really comprehend
why we are different from our old stances
why we are romancing in all our glances
while like some strangers we together blend,
spend your time with me until the night end.
Spend your time with me until the night end
as if life on a moment do depend
while you act just like a brand new lover,
as if our feelings we did rediscover,
as if we met only on a godsend,
spend your time with me until the night end.
Spend your time with me until the night end,
friendly greet the old smiling reverend
while we proudly walk past to our dinner
as if we are just two love-struck sinners,
while our unfamiliarity we do pretend,
spend your time with me until the night end.

Sign Sealed and Delivered
Another bar has closed down
This time it is in my town
The only one in West Milton
Good old pub
Went broke
Down on her luck
Just not enough drunks
The money has run dry
It's no longer falling from the sky
Tighten and tightening our belts
Again the groceries have gone up.
Electric hasn't been any nicer
Spend, spend what I say?
Who's got the money for these luxuries?
This computer is built from all recycled parts.
Built from scratch.
From thoughts I hatch
Ways to endure
Ways to stay sure
With a catch comes a lure
I am of the poor.
I wear two year old jeans
That have been cleaned then dried on the cloths lines
Because the dryer has died
I'm sorry that just not a priority
Please forgive me if I don't buy your gadgets
Science at it greatest but it still has not made it here.
They want just to much.
I can't even afford to buy my own lunch
I must bring my own from home
And you are still saying its getting better.
Who are these mathematicians
I want to know where they get their figures
Better yet I want my letter

Six Oclock News
Wanda had a baby in nineteen fifty one.
The father was stranger and a stranger was the son.
Call that child james lewis, call these rooms a home.
Changing all them diapers polish all that chrome.
Cmon, baby, spend the night with me
All around the schoolyard playing all the games
Running, laughing back and forth the kid with two first names
Stranger in the closet, lock the diary
The past is running faster singing harmony
Cmon, baby, spend the night with me
God bless this kitchen said the knick-knack shelf
The dinners almost ready go and wash yourself
Jimmys growing up now and wandas growing old
The time is growin shorter the nights are long and cold
Cmon, baby, spend the night with me
Sneaking in the closet and through the diary
Now, dont you know all he saw was all there was to see
The whole town saw jimmy on the six oclock news
His brains were on the sidewalk and blood was on his shoes
Cmon, baby, spend the night with me
Cmon, baby, spend the night with me

I Want
Don't want to spend my time, wishing you were here
Don't want to spend my time alone
Don't want to waste my life, dwelling on the past
Don't want to lock myself at home
'Cause I want, I need, nothing less than you
I want nothing else at all
Don't want to make excuses
Explaining it away
Just want to spend my time with you
Don't want to walk on ice
Don't want to live on edge
'Cause on the edge
I'm looking down
I want more, I want more
Don't want to spend my time
Wishing you were here
Don't want to spend my time alone

So Blue
I had everything I needed,
But now my life is so blue
You meant the world to me,
But now youre gone and Im so blue
And even though the sun is shining,
I spend my day, I spend my day crying over you
I spend my day crying over you
I, oh I feel just like the sky
Im so blue
Oh baby, doncha know... baby doncha know
I spend my nights all alone
Talking to myself
I am so blue
And everyday the feelin gets stronger
And whos to say just how much longer
I can spend my nights all alone
Talkin to myself and just-a cryin over you
I guess Ill just spend my life so...
So blue
