Time and space
Once you are with a woman,
Her skin and chin are not inimical.
Your age and wage are too to her.
Time and space engulf the disparities.

Battered Doll
A red dress for blood spilt,
Torn blouse for flesh rent;
Ladders in the stockings –
A rung for every callous blow landed.
Scuffed shoes winked about the kicks –
After all, bruise-gorged eyes can’t –
Just permanently closed.
Burning tears were scant warmth
Against a chill from ugly cries.
Lipstick smudges on the chin to
Nullify all vestiges of beauty –
Those that constituted rare patches
Of purest cream skin, from
Days of feminine joy, telling once
Upon a time there was an angel…
But now, a battered doll.

Disparities
Like fallen leaves...
In Spring.
A scene that rarely happens.
Or the sight and sound,
Of someone tap dancing on their knees.
It would seem out of place.
Such disparities as these.
And applesauce is not tossed,
From grapevines on grass dewed
By morning mist.
Unless it is composed...
As an artist's rendition on an oiled canvas.
And strangers passing one another,
In total darkness are not aware they are there.
Would you...
If you did not know,
Someone near could be pursued?
Would you say hello?
Or tie a bow in unlaced shoes?
Disparities may come to mix and blend,
Seasons that entwine to kiss briefly
Before one has to go.
Disparities of a separateness...
Yet an eclecticness between them flow.
Disparities like snow melting from trees,
As heat brings two to freeze a kiss.
Disparities gathered and played consonantly...
On piano keys for ears to hear,
And not for eyes to quickly dismiss.
Disparities.

Her Hidden Treasure
Her flame was only for the women –
Not for us unlucky men;
A weakness lay for feminine way:
To feel an even fairer skin
In silky slide.
Her lips were for the satin love that
Only flows from rising breast;
The creamy tan was not for man
To pull towards a chiselled chest
In weathered hide.
Her hidden treasure down below
Would shy away from macho length
And only rouse upon the blouse
Undone by other sapphic strength –
In time, inside!

Prepare for being forgotten.
A ripple, tiny or large,
Shakes space and time
And dies in space and time,
Some soon, some later,
No one for ever.
Prepare for being forgotten.

Woman is an exception
A lamp is new, the light is old.
A flower is new, its odour is old.
A roof is new, its space is old.
A woman is new, lust for her is new.

Incurable absence
Is it because she was so bourgeois
That I was drawn to her?
Or is it her modesty, or her exclusive
Offer that lured me?
Or her repute for reticence?
Time must heal; space must cure.
In spite of time past and space changed
Why must she still torment me?

Stage is sanction of vision.
That majesty, that mango skin,
That ripeness, that grace in pose,
And that skill in vocal card
Eclipsed her age, and shaded
The spinster violinist,
Sitting beside her on the stage.
I enjoyed singer’s vision more
Than the fusion of music.
Other than a concert,
Where would you get a chance
To devour with eyes a woman blatantly,
So long a time and so at ease?

To perfume is to hide odour
At base I am an atheist,
By which I am a sensualist.
So in a sense, a sadist.
Outwardly friendly.
Inwardly inimical.
A perfumed filthy skin.

Such Our Love
It was a bus by the corner,
I looked around and found no wheels,
Where are the seats, empty bus
The engine so inimical to locomotion,
Yet we expected it to move,
So was the bus, such our love
It was a clear blue sky,
The sun rays passing through earth,
Where are the clouds, empty sky
The sky so inimical to condensation,
Yet we expected it to rain,
So was the sky, such our love
It was a dead dodo,
So pityful in its dying minutes,
Where is life, dead dodo,
The dodo is inimical to its survival,
Yet we expected it to live and fly,
So was the dodo, such our love
You and I were a shadow,
An empty and stagnant bus,
A clear blue sky,
A lifeless dodo,
Planning was alien to us,
So was opportunism, such our love

The Space
Space governs love.
It dilutes love when widened
And freeze it when shortened.
Time governs space in addition.

Woman Machine
She'll do your work in half the time
Never sick and can't go blind
Oh, woman machine
Brains of tape that fill her head
She knows more now than all the dead
Oh, woman machine
Oh, woman machine
Oh, woman machine
Oh, woman machine
Oh, woman machine
Heart of steel and skin that's cold
Can't wear her out, she can't grow old
Oh, woman machine
She goes to bed when her work is through
She'll do it all, just change the tubes
Oh, woman machine
Oh, woman machine
Oh, woman machine
Oh, woman machine
Oh, woman machine-ine
Oh, woman machine
Oh, woman machine
Oh, woman machine
Oh, woman
She can't talk back
With no playback
But she'll listen
To all your woe
Trade your old one
For a new one
They just don't make 'em like they used to
No!
Oh, woman machine
Oh, woman machine
Oh, woman machine
Oh, woman machine

The concept of liking
A woman can gain a man;
The space and the time will tell.
A woman can turn stale to a man;
The space and the time will tell.
The image should fit the frame in the brain.
It takes time for the frame to adjust.
The frame that holds the image so far
Will loosen to dropp it unfit in size.

The biological design
In a long run,
A pair of men or of women
Cannot be amicable,
And a pair of man and woman
Cannot be inimical.
It is the biological design.

War of minds that royal ones wage.
War of words that common ones wage.
War of swords that men in slums wage.
Hatred is same; routs are different.

Secrets
It seems we caused a forest fire
With just a flicker of a flame
And now I set alight to everything
Now all I do is cause you pain
I won't keep secrets alive
I'll send them all out to space
Without the will to survive
They won't be going no place
Oh my angel
Woman child
I used to think the time would come
When man would rise above the beast
I gave up thinking that way long ago
In conversation with a priest
I won't keep secrets alive
I'll send them all out to space
Without the will to survive
They won't be going no place
Oh my angel
Woman child
We could have heal this blindness
With some human kindness
I know secrets kill you
But my love can fill you
Time and time again
Time and time again
It would be so fine
If you could be mine
I won't keep secrets alive
I'll send them all out to space
Without the will to survive
They won't be going no place
Oh my angel
Woman child

Eclipse
You and I used to meet the same
Wrapped together in cellophane
We can try to get away
Drift forever, lost in
Space... (We're getting better all the time)
Space... (We're getting better all the time)
Space... (We're getting better all the time)
Safe... (We're getting better all the time)
You can try to change my day
Lock me up and you watch me fade
You and I can emulate
Drift together, lost in
Space... (We're getting better all the time)
Space... (We're getting better all the time)
Safe... (We're getting better all the time)
Safe... (We're getting better all the time)
Decompress again (Pressure, pressure, pressure...)
Take control again
Connected once again
We're starting to descend
Space... (We're getting better all the time)
Space... (We're getting better all the time)
Safe... (We're getting better all the time)
Safe... (We're getting better all the time)
Space... (We're getting better all the time)
Space... (We're getting better all the time)
Safe... (We're getting better all the time)
Safe... (We're getting better all the time)
