Those are standard ones.
If anything is uninteresting,
Be it cinema, story or people,
It is not that these are substandard ones
But that you are misfit to their standard.

Little Miss Fit
Theres a good theres a bad
Some are gay, some are sad
Theres a right, theres a wrong
Those who fit dont belong
Well Im the bad
And Ive got to admit
That Im sad
Im a little misfit
Im in the wrong
And thats the truth of it
I dont belong
Im a little misfit
Theres the sun theres the rain
Those in love those in pain
Some succeed while others fail
Some will ease someone tells
Well Im in the rain
And Ive got to admit
That I gonna pay
Im a little misfit
Though Ive failed
Thats the truth of it
See me tell
Im a little misfit
Lifes so hard when youre far from everything
Lifes so cold when you know you have no friends
Well Ive lost
And Ive got to admit
That Ive paid the cost
Im a little misfit
I still grow
And thats the truth of it
Ill always fall
Im a little misfit
Well Im bad
And Ive got to admit
That Im sad
Im a little misfit
Well Im bad
And thats the truth of it
That makes me sad
Im a little misfit
Well Im lost
And Ive got to admit
That Ive paid the cost
Im a little misfit
Im so poor

We felt we had to know something of his back story. I don't think people in the cinema would just accept that he's there. I think we had to learn how he (got there).

Misfits (HEATHER**town of misfits?)
old saint nick saved all the misfit toys
and gave them to all the girls and boys.
he knew that each one could never be
a misfit for you or me.
now all those toys had their spirits broken
for they could not see
the beauty that was in their hearts
was meant to be.
a word, a touch, of old saint nick
healed their hearts very quick.
now that their spirits were revived
the tears rolled from their eyes.
they had learned on this day
that a pure heart would forever stay.
so if you think that you're a misfit child
sit and think for awhile.
of all the others who are worse than you
and don't know where to turn to.
you have loved ones to guide you
and show they care
although at times they may not be there.
look into the LORDS heart and you will see
'a misfit child, you could never be'
for my love is within thee.

I think American cinema, particularly, has become so disposable. It's not even cinema, it's just moviemaking.

Well, you cannot think of cinema now, and you cannot think of cinema in the UK and not place Chaplin in the most extraordinary elevated context, if there can be such a thing, in that he was a genius, he was unique.

A cinema-goer from Preston
Who loved a good drama, or western,
Sat glued to his chair
But would curse and would swear
If ejected, for having no vest on.

Enduring M's.
Mosquitoes have endured long
Biting people
The same old story of
Insects causing plasmodium
Marriage has endured long
Bonding people
The same old story of
Interested adults wed
Money has endured long
Buying people
The same old story of
Inflated goods sold
Misery has endured long
Bullying people
The same old story of
Injured hearts bled
Motherhood has endured long
Bearing people
The same old story of
Incarcerated fetuses freed.

I also wanted to express the strength of cinema to hide reality, while being entertaining. Cinema can fill in the empty spaces of your life and your loneliness.

Out of Season
It's tragic!
And more sadistic it gets,
When a truth is left to sit...
To be decided by those most misfit.
It's tragic!
And more sadistic it gets,
When a truth is left to sit...
To be decided by those most misfit.
Integrity once had is not allowed.
Those made to feel a guilt,
Had walked so proud.
But now...
They're out of season.
It's tragic!
And more sadistic it gets,
When a truth is left to sit...
To be decided by those most misfit.
It's tragic!
And more sadistic it gets,
When a truth is left to sit...
To be decided by those most misfit.
Integrity once had is not allowed.
Those made to feel a guilt,
Had walked so proud.
But now...
They're out of season.
Integrity once had is not allowed.
Those made to feel a guilt,
Had walked so proud.
But now...
They're out of season.
Where is the truth and the goodness of the people.
Have they all gone out of season.
The goodness of the people.
Oh...
Where is the truth and the goodness of the people.
Have they all gone out of season.
The goodness of the people.
Oh...
Where is the truth and the goodness of the people.
Have they all gone out of season.
The goodness of the people.
Oh...
Where is the truth and the goodness of the people.
Have they all gone out of season.
The goodness of the people.
Oh...
Where is the truth and the goodness of the people.
Have they all gone out of season.

I think it's important that we all try to give something to this medium, instead of just thinking about what is the most efficient way of telling a story or making an audience stay in a cinema.

In a sense I feel very much a part of the cinema now in a way where when I come back to the theater now I feel like a visitor. The cinema is really what I enjoy. I want to do more independent movies.
Misfit
(carly simon)
There are plenty of late nights
If you want to stay up for them
Youll just want to find yourself a friend
And tie a couple on in a night spot
Draw pictures of your soul, win the jackpot
For tears in your beer
Its hip to be miserable when youre young and intellectual
In a bit youll admit youre a misfit
Comeon home with me
Well turn on the tv
About 10 oclock well turn off the light
Not every man was born to stay up late at night
Tere are plenty of boats to catch
If you notice all the sails in the wind
But you better look hard my friend
In case you catch a ride on the wrong one
In the distance is the one you belong on
Oh the water is wide
Its hipe to be miserable when youre young and intellectual
In a bit youll admit youre a misfit
Come on home with me
Well sit under a tree
And if you get the itch
Ill supply the scratch
Not every man was born with a boat to catch
Its hip to be miserable when you are young and intellectual
In a bit youll admit youre a misfit
A misfit

Misfits
Youve been sleeping in a field but you look real rested
You set out to outrage but you cant get arrested
You say your image is new, but it looks well tested
Youre lost without a crowd yet you go your own way
You say your summer has gone
Now the winter is crawlin in
They say that even in your day
Somehow you never could quite fit in
Though its cold outside
I know the summers gonna come again
Because you know what they say
Every dog has his day
Youre a misfit, afraid of yourself, so you run away and hide
Youve been a misfit all your life
Why dont you join the crowd
And come inside
You wander round this town like youve lost your way
You had your chance in your day
Yet you threw it all away
But you know what they say
Every dog has his day
Look at all the losers and the mad eyed gazers
Look at all the looneys and the sad eyed failures
Theyre giving up living cos they just dont care
So take a good look around
The misfits are everywhere
La la la la la la
Youre a misfit
Afraid of yourself so you run away and hide
Youve been a misfit all your life
But why dont you join the crowd and come inside
You wander round this town
Like youve lost your way
You had your chance in your day
Yet you threw it all away
Now youre lost in the crowd
Yet, still go your own way
This is your chance, this is your time
So dont throw it away
You can have your day
Yes its true what they say
Every dog has his day
