Their Crooks
Members to parliament
Are elected by caste and creed.
Voters know some are crooks.
Yet they chose; they’ll be their crooks.

There's a difference between criminals and crooks. Crooks steal. Criminals blow some guy's brains out. I'm a crook.

Caste is Hindus’ root
The high caste beggar is proud of his caste.
The low caste doctor is conscious of his caste.
No amount of education and wealth
Could eradicate the caste consciousness.

Hardworkers Not Crooks
Hardworkers,
Not crooks.
Were those I knew,
Who raise early my beliefs.
Maybe perhaps a few of them were thieves.
But none showed me,
An abandonment of greed was fed publicly.
Whatever it took,
To accomplish any deed...
The satisfaction was in the doing.
And not at the expense,
Instilled in my integrity.
Materialism and other 'isms'
Of all kinds.
Was never on my agenda.
Or made to prioritize in my mind.
I needed to keep my identity defined.
And hardworkers not crooks,
Made sure that discovery was not hard for me to find!

The So Called Honorable
For to cling to power or for need of power on most policies they disagree
Between the Government and their Opposition there's does not seem much difference to me
Those out of power verbally attack those in power that is how it's been for years
Who wins or loses the Election should not be cause for joy or tears.
Who is in or out of power I for one do not care
That they do not bring change to my life for the good I am all too aware
Democracy is the best form of Government by many we are told
But the workings of Parliament has not changed from the long gone days of old.
Of the praises of Democratically Elected Governments many feel happy to sing
But in Parliament that Parliamentarians obliged to vote with their own parties does not seem a democratic thing
And that the Party or Parties elected by the majority of the voters makes decisions for everyone
Is hardly true democracy when all is said and done.
The hierarchy refer to Parliamentarins as the honorable a title he or she for life does keep
But such a title for most Politicians makes the word honor seem cheap
Like dysfunctional adolescents in Parliament every day
Supposed to be honorable men and women behave in a most immature way.

Crooks
It may be a little harsh,
To label what they do as such.
Perhaps another approach...
Would qualify their activities,
In a reproach that dignifies them
In our eyes.
How about 'lifters' of goodwill?
The term 'thieves' implies
Something done with merriment.
And today these 'misdeeds',
Are much too common!
Immediately an image of urban dwellers
Comes to mind!
You know...
The kind that are struggling to survive?
If we call them 'crooks'...
And dress them in suits and ties,
With briefcases and horn rimmed glasses...
Would that deliver the message quicker?
If they were placed in settings,
At the pinnacles of all that's cherished...
With worshipped ideologies,
AND adorn them with respected credentials.
Then we will feel less guilty,
When it is realized they represent
Our utmost values!
Let's just call them 'crooks'...?
And redefine our standards!
Only then,
Will all of our pretentiousness...
Come to an end!

Well, if Democratic members in the House elect Nancy Pelosi as their leader, it's almost as if they just didn't get the message from the voters this election. I mean, the voters outright rejected the agenda that she's been about. And here they're going to put her back in charge.

We Have To Retrieve That
During my college days, I watched a movie named
‘Women against rape’. But, now I know someone,
Bhanwari Devi from Rajasthan,
A rape victim, still fighting…
She was gang raped by Gurjar* men
(In presence of her husband, tied up)
When she tried to prevent them
From marrying off a baby girl
Who was just nine months old… Fifteen years passed …
How can an upper caste man Rape a lower caste woman? ,
A District Judge asked in 1995!
'LUST HAS NO CASTE, Mr.JUSTICE'!
Her medical examination happened after 52 long hours
And the Police seized her ‘’LEHANGA’ - long skirt,
As the only evidence late in that night! … Head down,
She walked away, wearing her husbands long Turban…
Her fight for Women empowerment continues and
The Supreme Court issued guidelines that broadly
Defined sexual harassment at the workplace and made it
Mandatory for Corporations and business establishments…
To have committees against sexual harassment.
Child marriage rates reduced drastically in Rajasthan
Police more vigilant in attending cases against rape now..
Imagine, just a single woman could make all these,
She deserves nationwide respect…
But…
Her family is ostracized everywhere…Her son is
Continuously bullied by upper caste crooks…
She has no income from her barren lands…
Her only income source is a buffalo!
O! God, please protect that animal
From being poisoned by some ‘caste fanatic’…
She is Bharat...
She is mother Earth…
Her ‘LEHANGA’ is our tainted nature…
We have to………………..

World Go 'Round
In the quickness of our haste
It seems we forget how to live
The old blueprint
No longer manifests itself
As the correct way to excist
Wipe the grime off the viewhole
And please take a closer look
Enviromental bandits
Up to their shenanigans
Crooks disquised...
We've got to find another way
To make the world go 'round
Our indivigual roles we think
Not so important to the plot
The big picture unseen
Leaving life un between
Destroyed and overwrought
There's no need to point the finger
We understand who takes the blame
Dilinquents caught
Red-handed in the act
Crooks disquised as you and I
We've got to find another way
To make the world go 'round
You see there's many many many
People in the world
And I'm not sure if I like
What I've heard I'm not sure if I like
What I'm doing myself
I'm not sure if I like how it turns
Degragation Violation
Inexcusable exploitation It's the dawning of a new era
People consciously don't care
How unfair
We've gotta find another way
To make the world go 'round

Airly crooks the Tree that good Lammock should be.
Elected (live)
I'm your top prime cut of meat, I'm your choice
I wanna be elected
I'm a yankee doodle dandy in a gold Rolls Royce
I wanna be elected
The kids need a savior, they don't want a fake
I wanna be elected
We're all gonna rock to the rules that I make
I wanna be elected
Elected
Elected
Respected
I wanna be selected
I never lied to you, I've always been cool
I wanna be elected
I have to get the votes, I told you about school
I wanna be elected
Elected
Elected
Hallelujah
I wanna be selected, come on
Ooh yeah
We're gonna rock this place, take the country by storm
I wanna be elected
You and me together, young and strong
I wanna be elected
Elected
Elected
Respected, selected, call collected
I wanna be elected, oh, oh, come on
This time

Gloss and Ego
I...
Don't wish to discriminate.
And I...
Choose love to taste and make.
Say I...
Will not laminate my name.
Just to play the game of gloss and ego.
Oh I...
Think about the crooks a lot!
Say I...
See a leeching that can stop.
Yes I...
Believe integrity could save.
And implusively a 'something'
One could nurture.
I...
See purpose in a doubt.
I...
See the use of it as boosting.
And I...
See encouragement released.
When mistakes are made,
To show life isn't slices...
Of Grandma's apples.
Oh I...
Think about the crooks a lot!
Say I...
See a leeching that can stop.
Yes I...
Believe integrity can save.
And implusively a 'something'
One could nurture.
I...
Don't wish to discriminate.
And I...
Choose love to taste and make.
Say I...
Will not laminate my name.
Just to play the game of gloss and ego.
I don't need to do a deed for sequels!

A sixty three years old democracy
We are a democracy completed years sixty three
We are, but, yet to be freed
From the clutches of caste and creed
And, the worst of all, that of greed
While the first two divide us
The third one destroys us
Most of the decision makers
And policy makers
Are driven by these three principles
And we are still limping
Towards that horizon and daylight
Having been freed in the middle of the night
Rare it is to come across
Personalities now a days
Despite our having
More than a thousand million people
Most of our people
In poverty
And in the darkness of ignorance
Find it difficult to
Understand the qualities
Of the people, whom they elect
To rule us
Elected ones, though not in poverty,
Are as ignorant as the people
Who voted them to power
How many more independence days
Are we going to cross
In fact, there is no celebration
For most of our people
Know not what independence really means
For them it means,
Simply means, they have the right
To select wrong people
We have not forgotten our long history
We know
King’s son becomes the king
So we maintain that
Prime Minister’s son or daughter
Should become prime minister
Chief Minister’s son or daughter
Should become chief minister
We love our families
We take good care of sons, daughters,
Their off-springs
We take care of our relatives as well
We take care of people
Belonging to our caste, religion or creed
We are happy
When our elected leaders also do the same
We do not believe in technical decisions
We advocate the cause
Of taking such decisions
Which match our above
Familial policies enhancing
Opportunities for our own people
Subramanya Bharati wrote
When will our thirst for freedom quench
This thirst will never be quenched
As water to quench that thirst
Is no where visible
Nor we know where to look for it

In Democracy People Are Supreme
In democracy people are supreme
People elected their representatives
And sent to parliament to make laws
On behalf of them.
To make democracy a success
Endemic protest is necessary
To make the representatives in order
They should cautioned.
People are the soul of parliament
Parliament can change but not people
People are the root parliament is foot.
Come to the people O parliamentarian
O representatives of people
People are your master
You are there in different posts to
Serve the people and to do all welfare works.
Democratic institutions are for the people
Without people the state is a big zero
In democracy people are supreme
Do not handle the people in whim.

With Influence That Lacked Integrity
I've witnessed manipulators,
Come and go.
A few had used techniques...
As easily as massaging a couple of egos.
Knowing who to dupe,
And which ones were shallow.
And then there were those,
Who chose to rub shoulders...
After searching whom first to cuddle.
To obtain their confidence,
In secret huddles.
And with influence that lacked integrity,
These criminals had begun their rise...
To heights of incompetence.
With the aid of excuses...
And defending companions,
By their side.
To then be rewarded and applauded...
For deeds achieved.
While hiding the fact...
They were actually crooks and thieves.
Dumbfounding the blind,
Who still followed them close behind.
