The wife, unassailable
Being instant food to his starvation,
Being a site of his ownership and
Being the ground of his seed to take shape,
I feel safe with my base intact as wife.

The husband’s link
She shed no tears
For the death of her lover
She lusted and slept with.
She wept by heart
On the arrest of her husband
She deceived while living with.
She kept her heart
Intact for her husband
Though locked to the paramour.
One can still count on
The love of one’s wife,
Who had strayed out.

Each is good in a way.
If elephants were killed; plants would be safe.
If cows were slaughtered; grass would be safe.
If tigers were shot dead; animals would be safe.
If men were killed; the planet would be safe.

Friendship
Friendship is a seed
that sprouts from the ground
when an open hand is extended
when smiles and laughters are shared
when exchange of stories is heard.
Friendship is a plant
that thrives on the ground
when drops of rain fall down
when sunshine breaks through
the leaves to make food for life.
Friendship sprouts and grows
when love and care are extended
when deepest thoughts are understood
when laughters and tears and shared
when wrongs are forgiven for a fresh start.
Friendship is a seed, a plant
which sprouts and grows
when its common food
on the leaves and from the ground
feeds the mind and heart
to bear and sustain friendship
in all the good and bad times.

Shortage
No food, water or food,
This is a Shortage.
Most dead from starvation,
Some from disorganised pyjamas.
Not folded, creased or pizza.
No house to cook the air.
Right about now some food would be nice,
'I can't' He said, i ate all the rice.

A Safe Man
A SAFE MAN
WITH A SAFE SMILE
SEEMED SO SAFE TO THE TOUCH
A SAFE MAN AS TO WHOM I I SAW AS MY FATHER
SO SAFE OR SO I THOUGHT
MY SAFE MAN
MY SAFE FATHER
NOT SO SAFE
MY SAFE FATHER WHOM DID THINGS THAT MADE ME FEEL INDANGERD
ON THAT NIGHT HE STOLE MY DIGNITY &+ MY SELF WORTH
MY SAFE MAN
MY SAFE FATHER
NOT SO SAFE

The stability of happiness
Happiness stays
When you feel safe and at base.
Happiness trembles
When you assume weight and at height.
Happiness tumbles down
When you are atop, base out of sight.
Be content with
What comes to you. There comes delight.

A cracked ground
By Ombuge Moses
Mama!
You sleep on a crack ground
Empty is the stomach
Hot is the sun
Nothing to quench the crack
The thirst is killing
Cracked is my throat
Helplessly you lay
You sleep on a crack ground
Baba!
Your cry is echoing
My ears cannot stop
My tears cool my cheeks
My face is running dry
You sleep in a crack ground
Forever never to see you again
Mama has followed you
Death has come
It’s so helpless
Who to run to
They promised food
They brought food
They promised water
They brought water
We need food
We need water
We are dying of hunger, of thirst
Who will take care of me the orphan?
Will I die before the next food come?
Will I die before the next water come?
Will I die like Baba?
Will I lay helpless to death like Mama?
Heavenly GOD
Your mercy
I cry indeed
In need
Not In want
When they saw us dying
They brought canned food
When they saw us dying
They brought bottled water
This is a customary issue, problem
Death of hunger
Thirst to death
The solution is death, for me
For you, solution- canned food, bottled water
We need a source
Give us a water source
To plant the seed
To eat from our labor
Weeding, Oh! How is it done?
Irrigating the plant
Nurturing the crop
To live to see a generation
A healthy life
An ordinary way to live
To this
Mama!
You sleep on a cracked ground
Baba!
You sleep in a cracked ground
Dead, you are gone
I your son,
Tonight, I sleep on a cracked ground
If I see tomorrow, I will bury you Mama
I will water your grave Baba
If they give me a water source
Bottled one, I will quench
The thirst that killed you Mama
Use the source to irrigate
Plant a seed, to grow food
A generation
A future
A healthy mind
Never to sleep
On,
In,
A cracked ground
God, to guide
A Kenyan, for a generation

Love and rage
The intensity of the rage
A man shows when another man’s eyes
Fall on his wife or hers, on him
Does not reflect the depth of love
He’s got for his wife but reflects
His possessiveness of ownership.

Off The Ground
There must have been a lot of heartache
For you to sink so low.
You must have had a ton of pressure.
Only answer if the answers no.
I need loving, you need loving too.
Doesnt take a lot to get off the ground.
There must have been a lot of magic
When the world was born.
Let me be the one you wish for,
One you call for, when youre all alone.
I need loving, you need loving too.
Wouldnt take a lot to get off the ground.
Off the ground, off the ground.
Fly around, fly around.
Hear the sound, hear the sound.
Off the ground, off the ground.
Though it takes a lot of power
To make a bog tree grow.
It doesnt need a pot of knowledge.
For a seed knows what a seed must know.
You need loving, I need loving too.
Doesnt take a lot to get off the ground.
Off the ground, off the ground.
Fly around, fly around.
Hear the sounnd, hear the sound.
Off the ground, off the ground.
Hear the sound, hear the sound.
Off the groound, off the ground.
Yeah yeah, off the ground.

Noting is new or same
A thought is not original,
Being a seed got from somewhere.
An organism is not new,
Being the seed given by those existing.
Nor are they duplicates,
They being variant from the original.

Overweight with Food
Are you just a tub of lard and
Vastly overweight?
Do you think that when you die you'll
Need a piano crate
To act as coffin for your frame? -
Chosen as you die in shame, with
Only you to take the blame
For years of eating much the same:
A daily calorific fest
Gourmands of your ilk digest!
Is your heart in final fling and
Nearly set to burst?
Are your arteries bunged and clogged and
Feeling now the worst
For wear? - your aneurysm fit to blow
While blood as thick as rising dough
Cries 'Halt! ' to any hope of flow:
A dreadful state to put on show
In front of any nurse!
Best you hail a hearse.

If there's God why I die
‘’Is there God then why I die’’
Wife of ant says
‘’ Why wife of ant says if there’s God
Why I die, filthy feminine house I will
Burn down and leave’’
God says
‘’Is there God then why my children die’’
Wife of ant says’’
‘’Why wife of ant says if there’s God
Why my children die, filthy clitorising rain giraffe, I will sow seed of hairy itching grass under her feet, will grow to waist’’
God says
Wife ant opened her head to sun
She asks
‘’ Is there anything worst on earth than
Soaking of my waist in mourning tears for years
Wuw nothing’’
God rubbed his nose, nguu….
Says ‘’I will see who’s strong
Me or wife of ant
Ninety days later
Wife of man whom God nickname as ant
Whelped puppy
Strange, horrible and unnatural
‘’O God, why my wife give to puppy’’
Man prayed
‘’ To teach your wife lesson
So tomorrow she’ll not mock me again
If she attempt, I wipe off her eyes in world
And her seed will not grow on earth
My land’’
God says

Is There A Legal Ground
Is there a legal ground?
One can stand on to feel safe and sound.
Is there a legal ground?
One that can be found that's not shaking around.
Is there a legal ground?
One that is near,
Not to be feared...
And if one should fall,
A solidness is clear!
Is there a legal ground?
Anywhere.
One understood.
One that is shared.
Is there a legal ground?
One that is cemented...
Making feelings of it different,
With a jumping up and down...
Packing heavy weighted pounds.
Is there a legal ground?
Around...
To be found!
Is there a legal ground?
Around...
To be found.
Is there a legal ground?
Around...
To be found.
Is there a legal ground?

The use dulls senses
Coal dust the celeries are inured to
Does not throw to them any shabbiness.
Rich food the millionaires are inured to
Would not grant them any appetite.
A cute wife one is in possession of
Would not be an object of attraction

Childhoods End
Id sail across the ocean
Id walk a hundred miles
If I could make it to the end
Oh just to see a smile
You see it in their faces
The sadness in their tears
The desperation and the anger
Madness and the fear
No hope, no life, just pain and fear
No food, no love, just greed is here
Starvation and the hunger
The suffering and the pain
The agonies of all - out war
When will it come again
The struggle for the power
A tyrant strikes again
Just what the hell is going on
When will it ever end
No hope, no life, just pain and fear
No food, no love, just greed is here
You see the full moon float
You watch the red sun rise
We take these things for granted
But somewhere someones dying
Contaminated waters
Pollution and decay
Just waitng for disease to stike
Oh will we learn someday?
No hope, no life, just pain and fear
No food, no love, no seed
Childhoods end

A Tree Speaks Out!
I’m born from seed within the earth,
That’s watered by the sky;
And once the sun bathed me with heat,
Lo! I’m a seedling made.
I drink by roots that prop like feet,
And breathe through leafy pores;
I cook my food in green ‘kitchens’;
God’s love helps me to grow.
And I can feel like any man;
I give all - breeze and shade;
I give myself to men and beasts;
Why then, they destroy me?
May be, like men I can’t reason,
But I can never sin;
I am a dumb creature of God;
A soul, He never gave!
But I don’t fight and I can’t kill,
And I don’t steal, tell lies;
I do my duty as God bids;
I’ll praise Him on ‘LAST DAY’!
