The time eclipsed

Sir, it was, of course, a fact
That I longed to share with you
A lunch, with my heart at it.
But now at late afternoon,
Having overcome the appetite,
I couldn’t get at what you brought.
Let us reminisce of our past hunger.

The fatal blow

I couldn’t recognize, relate or recall.
I couldn’t connect, retain or reminisce.
No joy in one’s up, not in one’s down.
Failure of memory is a fatal blow
That eases one to leave the world.

Late- Afternoon Sadness

LATE- AFTERNOON SADNESS

Late- afternoon sadness
Has a feeling all its own.
Life is all the things one has failed to do
It is all the disappointments brought us
By loved ones.
It is the sense that nothing good will happen again
Late- afternoon sadness
Is a world of its own,
And within it one sinks and sinks and sinks
Until one does not know
If the ground ever existed.

I'd Like My Pockets To Be As Full

My days and nights,
And appetite to live my life right...
Is a quest sometimes,
That leaves me unrested.
I wish to share and seek happiness.
Not to reminisce those obstacles I've dismissed.

So many today seem dismayed.
Stuck in ruts they replay everyday.
And offering nothing but despair to express.
I understand those difficulties...
Especially the ones that come to test!

But I've discovered it was best for me,
To see my cup half filled.
I've discovered it was best for me,
Not to dramatize my ills.
Or over burden others with them,
In an overkill.

Today we all can say,
We've made mistakes and had heartbreaks.
Today we all can come to agree...
We are disappointed with 'something'
Connected to the economy!

I'd like my pockets to be as full,
As that cup I imagine filled with gold.
And I pull it.
Glad to drag it behind me!

My days and nights,
And appetite to live my life right...
Is a quest sometimes,
That leaves me unrested.
I wish to share and seek happiness.
Not to reminisce those obstacles I've dismissed.
Or bore anyone with the repetition of it!

Tectonic plates

I have longed to kiss.
That brow of sunken silence
I have longed to reminisce.
The furrowed arches she'd raised.
Such tenderness abreast
Is spellbindingly, tainted.
At worst; fractures, like these
Are tectonic plates, moving, southwest?
But I swear I still have her heart and soul
They're still under my house arrest
Even though, I'm now, homeless.

Have Desire To Have

Have money,
Plenty of money,
or little money,
Have appetite,
Have no time,
we are hungry,
and then become angry.

Have appetite,
Burning appetite,
Churning appetite,
dizzy appetite.

Have appetite,
Have plenty of time, but
Have no money.
People are hungry,
and they are hungry as always.

Angry are hungry,
anger for better things,
Better fast food,
better service,
better facilities

Hungry people are angry,
anger for basic food,
Just to fill the pit,
that churns day and night,
not knowing,
What is available to a man.

Hunger is the turning point,
when insufficiency is pointed.
Hunger is an insult,
when inefficiency is noted.

Let us have the desire,
to have a better world,
where no human,
go and sleep with hungry.

True Dancing Souls

Our souls want to dance forever
not now. for you must see
Fate brought us together
too soon, he did

Finish your journey with her
and waiting I’ll be
For fate brought us together
too soon, he did

On future days we’ll be forever
our lives as one.
For fate brought us together
too soon, he did

Our lips touch, our souls dance
bounded we’ll be soon
For now wait we must because
Fate brought us together
too soon, he did

Soul mates forever but not for now
we wait, for time will come.
For fate brought us together
too soon, he did

Friends for now but forever we’ll be
wrapped by the music.
For fate brought us together
too soon, he did

For eternity or forever I’ll wait
one day we’ll be
Together happily without her
For fate brought us together
too soon you see

Fate brought us together
too late he did
For years ago we met
yet now we see our love

Fate brought us together
too late he did.
Not speaking one word,
we saved our lives

Fate brought us together
too late he did
We share now our memories
As our souls join
together they dance eternally

Our love now stays strong
our patience grows weak
No worries my love for
Fate brought us together
too soon but not too late

Airtalk

One, two, three, four, five, six.
Its sad that air is the only thing we share,
No matter how close we are theres always air between us.
Its also nice that airs something we all share,
No matter how far apart we are an air links us.
Its sad that past is something we can never share,
No matter how close we are the past is between us.
But its also nice that without the past
Wed have never known each other,
No matter how far apart we are it brought us together.
Yes, its very nice to have someone to share,
Theres something very nice to have someone to care.
We may not share our past but we have our future to share.
Its sad that life is such a heavy thing to bear,
No matter how close we are its easy to despair.
Its also nice that you and I know its what we all share,
No matter how far apart we are we can learn to care.
Theres something very nice to have something to share,
Theres something very nice to have someone to care.
We may not share our bodies but we have our minds to share.
Yes, theres something very nice to have something to care,
Theres something very nice to have someone to share.
We may not share our language but we have the world to share.

To Forgive and Forget

When it was ten minutes to lunch bell,
my Chemistry lecturer completed teaching.
I swivelled to my right and looked out.
I was surprised and embarrassed
to see my mother and her sister
standing beside the walkway.
I went out with his nod and asked my mom:
' Why did you come here? '.
' Just to see your college', said
my mother in amazement.I led them out.

Walking some ten kilometres in the hot Sun,
from her Sun-baked birth place,
she came there. The lunch bell rang in my ears.
I got some cheap snacks and drinks for them
and sent them back to reach home before sunset.

I strolled back to hostel mess, with my friend.
I couldn't eat non-veggie food.
I told my friend about the sudden arrival
and departure of my illiterate mother,
clad in a cotton sari with sparse gold chains.
' You are not a man at all.If you had told me,
I would have brought them here for lunch', he said.
He had carried me through tense situations.
Yet he didn't speak to me for two more days.

I went home in the vacation and pleaded with
my mother to forgive me for sending them back
in hunger without taking rest for awhile.
'It's nothing.I felt sorry for not bringing you cash',
she said and continued clearing the weeds in our fields.
My mother's great heart forgot it and it felt no need
to forgive her son.But my sleepless mind
reminisces often that day in my college
and feels remorseful.
My mother has left this world but my heart.
Till I breathe last, her memories will give me
a healing touch to my tearful heart.

to reminisce

to reminisce is not to surrender
to the past
and be defeated

it is to indulge
in what you had been with the people
you loved
and who loved you truly in the past

they are the everlasting flowers
from Baguio
that you put in your altar

to make your prayers warmer
so that the morning in its coldness
may also be delighted

The Corn Harvest

Summer !
the painting is organized
about a young

reaper enjoying his
noonday rest
completely

relaxed
from his morning labors
sprawled

in fact sleeping
unbuttoned
on his back

the women
have brought him his lunch
perhaps

a spot of wine
they gather gossiping
under a tree

whose shade
carelessly
he does not share the

resting
center of
their workaday world.

Albin the Aardvark

In Albany abides an aardvark, Albin. Albin is an albino animal. All around Albin's abode, abound the almighty ants. Another animal abiding alongside Albin's abode is Algie the alligator. He's an animal alligator. Almost all afternoon Albin the aardvark ambles up and down the alley always alert. Almost all afternoon Algie the alligator is asleep in the alley. One afternoon, Albin the aardvark ambles alongside and awakes Algie. 'Al! Any appetite? ' 'Auuuuuuugh! , ' answers Algie, 'Awful appetite.' After ambling around, Albin goes abed and is asleep. Algie is also asleep with an awful appetite. What do you think Algie the Alligator could eat with the awful appetite? (Algie can only eat things that start with 'A'. Help me out. I can only think of 8.) . I don't know if this is considered a poem or not. Help me out.

Late In The Afternoon

LATE IN THE AFTERNOON

Late in the afternoon
Late in life
Lyric poetry is still possible.

It is quieter of course
And calmer of course
And its passion is subdued of course
But it is still possible.

Love does not die in old age
It simply sings softer.

Even now towards the end of this happy day
The light has its own sad song.

Lunch With Gina

That must be her again
She's leaning on my bell
That cold psychotic brain
The one I know so well
So I'm nailed to the floor in the no-option zone
There's about zero chance she'll give up and go home
This endless afternoon
It started on the day I met her
Lunch with Gina is forever
She's coming round the corner
Her body's just a blur
I peel out like The Flash
It don't mean boo to her
So I duck into Nino'sshe's barred from the place
The minute I walk out she's right in my face
She's got nothing but time
No use in trying to be clever
Lunch with Gina is forever
Now I'm in my apartment
The blinds down the lights out
The phone rings God help me
There's nobody home
I crouch on the carpet
Not breathing just being
Like meat on the bone
I'm in a cozy booth
Maybe my watch is fast
Another Tanqueray
I'll wait till twenty past
I'm about to go postal when she waltzes in
I guess she's a knockouthey where have I been?
The waiter never comes
God knows the service could be better
Lunch with Gina is forever
Coffee and a kiss
Maybe later maybe never
Lunch with Gina

Ch 03 On The Excellence Of Contentment Story 05

A man often made vows of repentance but broke them again till one of the sheikhs said to him: ‘I think thou art in the habit of eating a great deal and that thy power of restraining appetite is more slender than a hair, whilst an appetite such as thou nourishest would rupture a chain and a day may come when it will tear thee up.’

A man brought up a wolf’s whelp.
When it was brought up it tore him up.

The love i couldn't give

She begs and craves all day,
for the love i couldn't give
She hopes and filled her fate
with the love i couldn't give.
Her smile is filled with hope,
of the love i couldn't give
her heart is sad but strong
for the love i couldn't give.
Her days is filled with hope and love,
for the love i couldn't give
her heart is mild but torn
because of the love i couldn't give.
She wished for just a day of love,
for the love i couldn't give
my heart is lost and gone
now there is no love i could give.

My heart is far from me,
there's no love i could give
my hope is far but deep withing
for the love i couldn't give.
My past came like a GIFT,
and stole my heart from me.
Leaving me hollow and empty,
now there's no love i could give.
My present wants so much love from me,
but there's no love i could give
i'll bring her smile all day,
even with the love i couldn't give.

March of the Wheelchairs

In Dakota land lunch is dinner
and dinner supper while lunch is lunch,
as traditions from farmlands go.

Now breakfast is at 6, lunch at 9
dinner at noon, lunch at 3
supper at 7, everything timed.

Day in and day out, better not be late.
Weather fickle, eating ain’t!
Farm traditions, genetics ‘grained.

No surprise, nursing meals,
wheelchairs marching, internal time,
largo moves, staccato fades.

Day in, day out…they’re not late
Wheelchairs marching, marching in
farm traditions, genetics ‘grained.

Weather fickle….eating ain’t!
Hope God keeps the schedule,
or has… a special dining hall.

As these Wheelchairs… arrive
