The subtle hand
The hour hand in a clock
Shows not that it moves
When we see it at a glance.
Yet it responds to the minute hand.
The lady in the kinky pursuit
Finds not that she thaws
Though she virtually takes side
In her stand to the tempting man.
To put on move the hour hand
Twelve times runs the minute hand.
To get in touch with her mind
Multi times the man has to run.
The little hand never reverses.
Battery weak, it may halt.
Endeared lady! Don’t reverse.
If at all, you can stay where you are.

Minute By Minute (Dobbie Brothers)
(Michael McDonaldLester Abrams)
Hey, don't worry, I've been lied to
I've been here many times before
Girl, don't you worry, I know where I stand
I don't need this love, I don't need your hand
I know I could turn, blink, and you'd be gone
Then I must be prepared any time to carry on
But minute by minute by minute by minute
I keep holding on
Oh, minute by minute by minute by minute
I keep holding on
You will stay just to watch me, darlin'
Wilt away on lies from you
Can't stop the habit of livin' on the run
I take it all for granted like you're the only one
Livin' on my own
Somehow that sounds nice
You think I'm your fool
Well, you may just be right
'Cause minute by minute by minute by minute
I keep holding on
Oh, minute by minute by minute by minute
I keep holding on
Call my name and I'll be gone
You'll reach out and I won't be there
Just my luck you'll realize
You should spend your life with someone
You could spend your life with someone
Minute by minute by minute by minute
I'll be holding on
Oh, minute by minute by minute by minute
I'll be holding on...

The Hand
only the human hand,
the caring hand,
the hand covered in blood
and filth, the hand swollen
bruised, and beaten...
the open hand,
not a fist anymore hand,
not afraid to let go hand,
never letting go hand...
feed the baby, plow the field hand,
stroke the face of
the old woman dying hand...
light the fires, sweep the floors hand...
the praying hand, the picking hand,
the paint the soul hand...
only the human hand
can touch with the heart of God!

Hand-Me-Down!
got my hand-me-down boots,
and my hand-me-down jeans.
my broke down hand-me-down hat,
doing hand-me-down things.
my hand-me-down fire,
and my hand-me-down pot.
take a hand-me-down chair,
i'll share what i've got.
got some hand-me-down thoughts,
a couple of hand-me-down songs.
i've got a hand-me-down heart
that wont leave you alone.
we'll talk about hand-me-down freedom,
and hand-me-down truth....
in this hand-me-down world,
it's just me and you!
in this hand-me-down world....
paying hand-me-down dues!

Virtue Vs Evil
Wherever you are wherever you go
I will go with you hand in hand
A faltered state of agony and lust
I will go with you hand in hand
Vying for the amelioration of offspring
I will go with you hand in hand
Injecting an age-long flight from right
I will go with you hand in hand
The endearment of wealth and spendthrift
I will go with you hand in hand
Wherever is the wretched face of human lure
I will go with you hand in hand
The pitfall of human lot has waged a spiritual war
I will go with you hand in hand

Heart To Heart
(Emmylouy HarrisPaul Kennerley)
Heart to heart we'll hold together
Hand in hand we'll find a way
Oh, the storms of life may blind us
But with the loving vows that bind us
Heart to heart hand in hand we'll stay
Side by side forever and always
Day by day till our lives are done
This sweet love is ours to treasure
Far beyond all time and measure
Side by side day by day as one
The years connot take what's between you and me
We'll stand her together for the whole world to see
Heart to heart there'll be no other
Hand in hand for our love is true
Oh, the words that we have spoken
Will be a promise never broken
Heart to heart hand in hand with you

The Law
How many times did you call me
And I knew it was late
I left everybody
But I never went straight
I dont claim to be guilty
But I do understand
Theres a law, theres an arm, theres a hand
Theres a law, theres an arm, theres a hand
Now my hearts like a blister
From doing what I do
If the moon has a sister
Its got to be you
Im going to miss you forever
Tho its not what I planned
Theres a law, theres an arm, theres a hand
Theres a law, theres an arm, theres a hand
Now the deal has been dirty
Since dirty began
Im not asking for mercy
Not from the man
You just dont ask for mercy
While youre still on the stand
Theres a law, theres an arm, theres a hand
Theres a law, theres an arm, theres a hand
I dont claim to be guilty
Guiltys too grand
Theres a law, theres an arm, theres a hand
Theres a law, theres an arm, theres a hand
Thats all I can say, baby
Thats all I can say
It wasnt for nothing
That they put me away
I fell with my angel
Down the chain of command
Theres a law, theres an arm, theres a hand
Theres a law, theres an arm, theres a hand
Theres a law, theres an arm, theres a hand

Put Your Hand In The Hand
(words & music by g. maclellan)
Put your hand in the hand of the man
Who stilled the water
Put your hand in the hand of the man
Who calmed the sea
Take a look at yourself
And you can look at others differently
Put your hand in the hand of the man
From galilee
My momma taught me how to pray
Before I reached the age of seven
When Im down on my knees
Thats when Im closest to heaven
Daddy lived his life, two kids and a wife
Well you do what you must do
But he showed me enough of what it takes
To get me through, oh yeh!
Put your hand in the hand of the man
Who stilled the water
Put your hand in the hand of the man
Who calmed the sea
Take a look at yourself
And you can look at others differently
Put your hand in the hand of the man
From galilee
Oh yeh!
Put your hand in the hand of the man
Who stilled the water
Put your hand in the hand of the man
Who calmed the sea
Take a look at yourself
And you can look at others differently
Put your hand in the hand of the man
From galilee
Oh yeh!
Put your hand in the hand of the man
Who stilled the water
Put your hand in the hand of the man
Who calmed the sea
Take a look at yourself
And you can look at others differently
Put your hand in the hand of the man
From galilee
Oh yeh!
Put your hand in the hand of the man from galilee
Put your hand in the hand of the man from galilee, oh yeh!

a hand mirror

The Touch Of Your Hand
On the day that you were born
I touched your hand so chubby and warm.
I touched your hand when you were one
and helped you walk my beautiful son.
I held your hand when you were two.
We ran, your favorite thing to do.
I held your hand when you were three
as you climbed on my lap and smiled at me.
I touched your hand when you were four
as the ocean touched our toes at the shore.
I touched your hand when you were five
walking you to school but when we'd arrive
I felt the tug of your hand from mine
and I knew that we had crossed a line.
I looked at you and released your hand
and said'it's okay I understand.'
As I walked back home I cried some tears
thinking of all our hand holding years.
Holding your hand became sporadic now,
when you were feverish or I felt your brow.
I held your hand a few times as a teen
but always alone so it wouldn't be seen.
I held your hand after you said, 'I do.'
We danced together just me and you.
After some years went by my son
you held the hand of your little one.
And so the times of your life turn around
and now that my hand is old I've found
you take my hand and help me walk
and as you do we intimately talk.
And it takes me back to that bright early morn
when I held your hand so chubby and warm.

What Do You Want?
You watch them walk down the hallway
Hand in hand
They are happy and it shows
Your heart longs enviously
Your mind urges you away
You know the bad
But there's always a flip side to the coin
Your heart's been broken
But before that we're the good times
When you were hand in hand
When you were holding and being held
Confusion is infuriating and irritating
But you want that feeling again
The butterflies in your stomach
When you look into his eyes
You don't know what you want
Is it worth the pain?
Is it worth the pleasure?
What do you want?

It's About Time
Time Is….
Ethereal and immaterial,
as a wisp of vapour
Untenable, impalpable,
as thoughts in the mind
Indescribable, invisible,
yet worth more than treasure
Ne’er carried with one,
yet ne’er truly left behind
Oft times borrowed to live on
Oft times spent in haste
Oft times forgotten or foregone
Oft times given to waste
Time can be given as a loan to a friend
Can be borrowed just as well
Time Can be given and time can be taken
And Time can be Heaven or Hell
Time moves so slowly
When we’re in a state of anticipation
Yet moves far too fast
When we’re enjoying exhilaration
Time can be measured quite exactly,
As a second, a minute, or a day
Even though exactly, what it truly is,
no one exactly, can truly say
While it can’t be seen, described, or held in your hand
There’s one thing we do know for sure
When you use up your share and it starts running out
That’s the time we’ll always want more
Time touches us all with it’s almighty hand
And it’s effects, are so impossible to resist
So strange to be so immaterial, and yet so very grand
Time absolutely, and most truly…simply does not exist!

Come Away
(g.bowser/j.jupp)
Published by chappell & co., ltd. - capac
As I walk along the lonely streets
I cant talk to the people that I meet
I see them come, and I see them go
I see them smile, and say hello
Come with me and take my hand
Ooh, fly away to another land, oh yes we will
Come with me and take my hand
Well fly away to another land
Come over here little girl
And Ill show you another world
Where we can be free to do as we want
Live our lives as we please, and say what we like, oh
Come with me and take my hand, ooh
Well fly away to another land
Come with me and take my hand, oh
And fly away to another land
Theres so many things that remain to be done
And no one has thought of a way to begin
So follow me into my life
Come with me and take my hand (and take...)
Fly away to another land (fly away to another land)
Come with me and take my hand (ooh)
Fly away to another land (fly away to another land)
Come with me and take my hand (take my hand)
Fly away to another land (oh yes we will)
Come with me and take my hand (and take my hand, take my hand)
Fly away to another land (yeah)
Come with me and take my hand
Fly away to another land
Come with me and take my hand
Fly away to another land

4 Times A Lady (live)
Ohh lady, got something to say
Alright baby, oh yes I do
oh now lady, mmm yeah
got something to say, something to say
check it out, well
all up in the mix on a friday night, friday night
me and my guys lookin oh so tight, oh so tight
bounced from the crib to the car,
from the car on our way to the bar
girl I wonder where you are, always loved you from afar
hold that, wait a minute this hit it up from the back
and girl I really wanna come and get with you tonight, alright alright
oh girl you look so fine, and I want you to be mine
well I got nothing to lose, gonna make my move
getting close to you is all I wanna do oh
i can remember so clearly you all up in your hair but didn't notice me,
so maybe, now's the time to make my move lady
so i asked her if she'd mind could we share a little time
told me that would be just fine
couldn't believe I had her by my side
who'd ever thought she'd end up in my ride
straight to the top, girl you're gonna make me hot
you're just four times a lady
spinning around til the morning light
gonna be making sweet love with her all through the night
straight to the top, girl you're gonna make me hot
you're just four times a lady
now she calls me up on the phone nearly every night
just to make sure im not feeling lonely yeah
she'd even come around telling me how she was feel uptight, yeah baby
so i said that I'll take ya darling, for a minute
she's the type of girl you wanna have around, she's all up in it
she's my everything, takes good care of me
and she's all the things that a girl's supposed to be, yeah
can't imagine living without you
i love you, yes i do
never thought my dreams would all come true when i stopped to talk to you
so you're out with your girlfriends, cuz she's so damn fine
and i wish she could be mine, but every time i saw her
she'd always pass me by, never could catch her eye
couldnt believe i had her by my side
who'd ever thought she'd end up in my ride
straight to the top, girl you're gonna make me hot
you're just four times a lady
you're four times a lady, yes you are yeah
you're four, you're four times a lady yeah
you're four times a lady, ohh baby ohh baby
when you said to me inside you felt the same

Hand in Hand Perfectly
You and me
hand in hand tonight
and let me tell you boy
it's alright
Cause finally,
I'm singin a brand new melody
Yeah, you and me
go hand in hand perfectly
You with your smile
just makes me go wild
Making my heart beat like a little
child
and I believe,
we could make a beautiful family
Yeah, you and me go
hand in hand perfectly
It only took one night
to know
and darling you best believe me
I'm never gonna let you go
Cause when you took me hand
it was like
WOAH
Yeah, I believe we go
hand in hand perfectly
I believe we go
hand in hand perfectly

Hit The Floor
There are just too many times when people try to put their trust in me
Wondering when I think of you well I protect you out of courtesy
Too many times that I held on but when I didnt you push away
Afraid to say what is wrong and right, afraid to say what I need to say
Too many things that you say about me when Im not around
You think you have the upper hand and you got to put me down
Well I got so many sad thoughts of you its about as much as I can stand
So I wait till the upper hand is mine
One minute youre up top
(you better not want to draw)
Making a rough start
(just before you hit the floor)
One minute youre up top
(you better not miss a shot)
Making a rough start
(you think you won)
And then its all gone
So many people like me that put so much trust in all the lies
So concerned with better things and just say what we feel inside
So many people like me walk on eggshells all day long
All of those and all they want is to feel like Ive been stepped on
There are so many things you say that make me feel you cross the line
Watch this I will show you all I am counting down the time
Well I got so many sad thoughts of you its about as much as I can stand
So I wait till the upper hand is mine
One minute youre up top
(you better not want to draw)
Making a rough start
(just before you hit the floor)
One minute youre up top
(you better not miss a shot)
Making a rough start
(you think you won)
And then its all gone
I know I cant trust or see the way you say
And now I realise youre byast but youre right anyway
And now your eyes have got you thinking up for what you saw
I know now somethings got to fall
One minute youre up top
(you better not want to draw)
Making a rough start
(just before you hit the floor)
One minute youre up top
(you better not miss a shot)
Making a rough start
(you think you won)
And then its all gone

Second-Hand Lovin
You gave me a locket but your picture
wasn't in it.
You gave me a diamond and it
sparkled for a minute.
For I knew when I saw them
that they were only second-hand gifts
that were never really mine.
You sent me a letter but the words
that were in it
Lifted me up but only
for a minute.
‘Cause those words when I saw them
Said they were only second-words
That were never really mine.
*** Your second-hand lovin' with a second-hand line
Makes lovin' you hard to find.
Your second-hand lovin' with a second-hand line
Can't ever make you mine.
But hook' line and sinker I fell for you.
But second-hand lovin's too hard for me with you.
REPEAT second verse and ***
