The left behind is the casualty

The lover is sad
When he leaves his sweet heart.
He will be sadder
When she vacates the premises
To be left behind is more sorrowful
Than to leave the dear one..

The Saddest Fate

To touch a broken lute,
To strike a jangled string,
To strive with tones forever mute
The dear old tunes to sing--
What sadder fate could any heart befall?
Alas! dear child, never to sing at all.

To sigh for pleasures flown,
To weep for withered flowers,
To count the blessings we have known,
Lost with the vanished hours--
What sadder fate could any heart befall?
Alas! dear child, ne'er to have known them at all.

To dream of love and rest,
To know the dream has past,
To bear within an aching breast
Only a void at last--
What sadder fate could any heart befall?
Alas! dear child, ne'er to have loved at all.

To trust an unknown good,
To hope, but all in vain,
Over a far-off bliss to brood,
Only to find it pain--
What sadder fate could any soul befall?
Alas! dear child, never to hope at all.

Being lonesome

Alone was I born.
Alone will I be gone.
In between on stage
If I am left alone
Why am I forlorn?

The Puppy and Me

A puppy was next door; I poured all my love.
The puppy grew warm, her tail wagging a little,
That made me warm, my spirit in glow.
Out of sight she went, yet threw her glances,
That made her absence a balm, not a scar.
That day she turned her back, her tail drooping,
That killed my spirit; I am free of sore.

A viewer lost the vision of a dancer
When the light failed. He is disturbed.
A listener lost the voice of a singer
When the mike went off. He is disturbed.
When the performer herself is off
The stage, with no third force to disturb,
The audience simply vacates the place.

I love the puppy for her pleasure;
I leave it when it loses pleasure.

Lover Please

Lover please please come back don't take a train comin' down the track
Don't please don't please don't leave me don't leave me in misery
You would never hold me near you would never call me dear
Don't you know I'd die for you now you're gone that's what I'll do
Lover please please come back...
[ guitar ]
Old love story not too long about a love that went all wrong
Girl left the boy boy went bad now he's gone she's so sad
Lover please please come back...
Lover please please come back...

None wants heaven

There are ten steps to reach Heaven.
The last one is death. With that threat,
Everyone who were taught had left,
Abandoning the going to Heaven.

Dear heart

Dear heart,
Why is it always when I try to leave,
You put on the charm and that gentle face
Looking for one last little embrace?

Dear heart,
Why can't I ever leave you
When you tell me to?
(And usually I'm so obedient!)

Dear heart,
The truth is, I never left
And couldn't as such,
Because....because...

I just love you too much!

My Bitter Sweet

Oh, Night!

How peaceful you are my Starful night
You sorrowful delight

You bitter sweet
You dark desireful with light

Though all these pains around

You still so clear and kind

You're my only honest friend

You never leave me alone

like other friends

Every day you are here

Sweet and so dear

With dark face you come my near

With wandered eyes you gaze with fear

I know you care and fear

To see me tear

Till asking me

How I am! Oh!

How you are dear

You sit by my side and shead tear

My charmful night stay so dear!

People all changed,

Please you stay so kind and dear
Alone I Fear!

The Temptation

YOU bring your love too late, dear, I have no love to buy it,
I spent my love on worthless toys, at fairs you do not know;
I am a bankrupt trader--dear eyes, do not deny it,
I could have bought your love, dear, but that was long ago.

My soul has left me widowed, my heart has made me orphan,
Leave me--all good things, dear, have left me--leave me too!
For here is ice no tears of yours, no smiles of yours can soften:
Leave me, leave me, leave me, I have no love for you!

I have no flowers to give you, they grow not in my garden;
I have no songs to sing you, my songs have all been sung;
I have no hope of heaven, no faith in any pardon,
I might have loved you once, dear, when I was good and young.

I will not steal, nor cheat you; take back the heart you lent me.
O God, whom I have outraged, now teach me how to pray,
That love come never again so near me to torment me,
Lest I be found less faithful than, by Thy grace, to-day.

The harmless recreation

However chaste a woman
Is in heart of heart,
She longs for attention of men,
Admiration from chosen ones
And infatuation with desired one
When chances are at hand.
No harm, for, beyond that,
The qualm will have its roll..

Journey is mattered,
Not the destination.

My privilege

I had my self-respect till I met you.
I had my ego intact until I met you.
Now I lost my pride and prestige
At your adamant heart and reticence.
Yet, I am happier to have the privilege

Hypocrisy to the core

“Dear, see him, a distinguished guest.”
She introduced to her husband the man,
Who came to their son’s wedding.

“Son, he is, whose younger sister was
my playmate in my school days”

Son and father bowed their heads in respect.

She and the man reminisced their
Teenage romance and infatuation.

I was a personal witness

How hypocritical the world is!

Love is elastic

I set a scene for my heroine to stage her reappearance,
And insisted on doing it ere my short-while exit,
To that she, propelled by her modesty, feigned her reluctance,
That left me high and dry. I left with rage for missing the chance.
She came to the stage only on my return and soothed my glance.
I am back to the game. She threw me not to oblivion.

Love has elasticity;
No need of anxiety

Risin above the city, blocking out the noonday sun
It dwarfs the mighty redwoods and it towers over everyone

What a lucky guy, I hear he got the last one in stock

The Unattainable asylum

Brainless beauty is a peril.
Brain without beauty is still a thrill.
To me, however, you are a thrill.
My intellect, you titillate.
My heart, you mutilate.
I stick to the job and this venue
Only to see you and be near you.
When the job and the venue go
Where will I go sans you?
How shall I live sans you?
In two years comes my civil death.
Along with it, goes my sensual death.
It is in your hand to put it off
By answering my calls
And sending your smiles.
Can you promise, my dear?

Power of love counts

When he loves a woman
As mad as he can,
In her exit,
He will love another woman
As well or more
Like a lover of music,
Who loves as much the one
As he did the other in the past.
Power of love,
Not power of the object,
Is the force behind.

The neglect was compensated

On that awaited day when my dear doe
Revisited my garden, she never came near
But rather played truant hither and thither
And went away, trampling my flowers.

On this disdain day when the forgotten doe
Again visited my garden, she was dear and near,
And, by holding the twig that I gifted her,
Has hinted that she came to breathe my flower.

First, she marred my confidence.
I went to hibernation.
Later she amended my indifference.
I am rekindled to animation.

Be unkind but not heartless.
Woo any but desert not me.
I love the doe and envy her male
I love the doe and grudge my rivals.

To love is to be jealous

2000 Miles

Theres something I need to say
Im not sad youre gone away no way
Wont be calling information
Or waiting at the railway station
You walked out of my front door
I wasnt then but now Im sure
I need to be at least 2000 miles away from you
2000 miles away from you
2000 miles away from you
2000 miles away from you
2000 miles away from you
Had to get me to the church on time
To say that silly I do I do nursery rhyme
Youve been bitching at me for awhile
Say hey now baby dont you cramp my style
Dont go beating me like that
Im glad I wont be coming back
I need to be at least 2000 miles away from you
2000 miles away from you
2000 miles away from you
2000 miles away from you

The German Legion

In the cot beside the water,
In the white cot by the water,
The white cot by the white water,
There they laid the German maid.

There they wound her, singing round her,
Deftly wound her, singing round her,
Softly wound her, singing round her,
In a shroud like a cloud.

And they decked her as they wound her,
With a wreath of leaves they bound her,
Lornest leaves they scattered round her,
Singing grief with every leaf.

Singing grief with every leaf.
Sadder grief with sadder leaf,
Sweeter leaf with sweeter grief,
So't was sung in a dark tongue.

Like a latter lily lying,
O'er whom falling leaves are sighing,
And Autumn vapours crying,
Pale and cold on misty mould,

So I saw her sweet and lowly,
Shining shining pale and holy,
Thro' the dim woe slowly slowly,
Said and sung in that dark tongue.

Such an awe her beauty lent her,
While they sang I dared not enter
That charmed ring where she was centre,
But I stood with stirring blood

Till the song fell like a billow,
And I saw them leave her pillow,
And go forth to the far willow,
For the wreath of virgin death.

And I stood beside her pillow,
While they plucked the distant willow,
And my heart rose like a billow
As I said to the pale dead-

'Oh, thou most fair and sweet virginity,
Of whom this heart that beats for thee doth know
Nor name nor story, that these limbs can be
For no man evermore, that thou must go
Cold to the cold, and that no eye shall see
That which thine unsolved womanhood doth owe
Of the incommunicable mystery
Shakes me with tears. I could kneel down by thee,
And o'er thy chill unmarriageable rest
Cry, 'Thou who shalt no more at all be prest
To any heart, one moment come to this!
And feel me weeping with thy want of bliss,
And all the unpraisèd beauties of thy breast-
Thy breast which never shall a lover kiss!''

Then I slowly left her pillow,
For they came back with the willow,
And my heart sinks as a billow
Doth implore towards the shore,

As I see the crown they weave her,
And I know that I must leave her,
And I feel that I could grieve her
Sad and sore for evermore.

And again they sang around her,
In a richer robe they wound her,
With the willow wreath they bound her,
And the loud song like a cloud

Of golden obscuration,
With the strange tongue of her nation,
Filled the house of lamentation,
Till she lay in melody,

Like a latter lily lying,
O'er whom falling leaves are sighing,
And the Autumn vapours crying,
In a dream of evening gleam.

And I saw her sweet and lowly,
Shining shining pale and holy,
Thro' the dim woe slowly slowly
Said and sung in a dark tongue.

In the cot beside the water,
The white cot by the white water,
English cot by English water
That shall see the German sea.

To hide the one’s minus
