The kith and the kin.
Kith and kin are the wall
I keep drawing my image on.
Kith and kin are the army
I build to show them as my strength.
Kith and kin are the scale
With which I scale me against them.
Kith and kin are the yard
Where I weed off the useless ones.
As a part of kith and kin,
I serve them like that as well.

Kith and ken
Kith and ken that you value so much
Are useless hypocritical lots.
They come to wedding to show their face.
They come to funeral to show their face.
For your bread and wine, they will keep pace.
Yet, you beam with them being your strength.

A Girl Called Kirsty
Kith and kin, kith and kin,
And yet your love runs cold and thin.
In the end
I wanted you to be my friend,
But you simply do not understand
That you're living in another land
Than this strange place I'm tortured in.
You don't begin
To comprehend
That without a loving, helping hand
I'll just come to a sticky end.
Your final sin
Was driving me right round the bend
When I was young and weak.
You were so strong
And now this song
Is another attempt to explain
The curious excesses of my pain.
Who can tell
If I speak in vain
About this never-ending hell?
Please, please relent
And love me now,
And I'll love you -
This is my vow,
And recompense is heaven-sent.

Family Court
One would be in less danger
From the wiles of a stranger
If one's own kin and kith
Were more fun to be with.

The utility is loved for
Every one of my kith and kin
And my own offspring wanted me
Dearly and treated me dearly.
A clear indication that my old age
Is secure in their hands.
I have no sense to think its
Reality till I went useless to them.

Mother’s care
In spite of wealth and kith,
An old man is not secure
As to how he would meet with death.
Better to die young in mother’s care.

No pain to die
Parents died; siblings’ love died;
Children’s love dried; their kid’s love waned.
The kith and kin failed to visit.
Left by them, I feel no pain in leaving.

A rare pearl in the deep Indian Ocean
Oh! My tiny precious Island
Is this a Shark-fin soup
Eat by the Boss and his Kith & Kin?
* Still I respect though he's a terrorist or a freedom fighter
Anyway he loved his people.

Their uses
Kith and kin are there to make their presence
In the marriages and the funerals held.
Sons and daughters are stationed to conduct
The funeral and quarrel over their shares.

The Autobiography
You want to write your autobiography
At the end of your life
By when you will have gone infamous.
It will be outdated even to your kith and kin.
Must you write?

Interested in the kith
I was not interested in her
But she was in me so I've to.
I was not interested in the kith
But they are in me so I've to.

An uncanny wish
There is no sense in wishing to be remembered
By kith and kin or even kids after your death.
You are not there to the joy of being remembered
Or to the hurt of being forgotten. An uncanny wish.

Love And Serve
God created man to love and serve
Love and serve all with strong nerve and verve
Expect not anything in return
Worry not over the strain that turn
Falter not over the goal you set
Tinker not with the grand steps you plan
Treat success and failure on even plane!
Success and failure sure part of our life
Success after failure sweeter still
Lessons you learn taller than a hill!
God's creations our great kith and kin
Deserve well to be cared, loved and served
Served to love and serve millions in turn
Drop of noble act in the sea of life!

Fatwa
Some says Falsehood
says fear to false
fear not truth.
Fear not truth
truth reign
truth recognised.
Falsehood perished
let us go beyod fatwa
let us buried ills
to serve kith and kins.

Fearlessly
When you write
Write fearlessly
Don't think
What your
Parents
Will say,
Don't think
What your
Children
Will say
Don't think
What your
Siblings
Will say,
Don't think
What your
Relations
Will say
Give a damn
To what this
Society
Will say!
Just write on
And express
What you
Want to say
For, believe me
Your neighbours
Your friends,
Your partners,
Your colleagues
And all the kith
And kin you know
Most of them
Would want to say,
What you want to say
But would chicken out
When they have to say!

First Party
(5 Day Old Anthony Attends a 60th Anniversary Party)
Light increases
as he entered the room
emanating from him,
reflected in our eyes.
A pliable bundle
passed from arm to arm,
melding to each one
his Kith and Kin
Who delight to discover
a mosaic of familiar
and unfamiliar forms
In their newest guest,
their Best.

The Cow (Chapter 2, Verses 215, Holy Koran)
I ask for refuge to Allah from Satan the exiled evildoer.
In the name of Allah the Kind and the Merciful Giver.
They ask you, on whom they should spend
Say, whatever wealth you spend
It is for your parents
And the kith and kin
And the orphans
And the needy ones
And the immigrants
And whatever you do
Allah knows it through and through.

The broken Rainbow
The shepherd boy's tattered red kite entangles in the rainbow
And he cries while sitting on the burning earth like a motherless child.
He knows the rainbow is short-lived
And he repents of his poor kite where it transmigrates in the endless sky leaving the kith & kin?

Thanksgiving Trend
Shopping for the perfect bird—
Dressing, trimmings and the like.
Folks preparing for the 'Day'—
With expectations spiked.
Geared and looking forward to
Such special time of the year,
When kith and kin (old and young)
Will meet, greet and share.
Showing love and kindness
Is an old Thanksgiving trend—
With gratitude to God
For the blessings that He sends.

Maya, the illusion
Look back at your wedding.
Note down the guests.
Look back at your son’s.
Note down the guests.
Compare the lists
To know what illusion
The kith and ken are
No bond could ever exist,
some already extinct.
Now you know what Maya is.
