The impression
The impression you make with the people
Will die when they die, be it good or bad.
With them would go your very image.
Why must you starve and err to have such one?

Pixelated You
What people think of you
Is Reputation
How you would like people to think of you
Is Impression
What you try to make people think of you
Is Image
But how you really view yourself when alone
Is Realization.
What God would think of you without Him
Is Separation
What you are with God in your life
That is called Salvation.

Art of Impression
Can be good, can be bad
Can be right, can be false
Can be strong, can be meaningless
Impression is a trapping image
Sharp like an arrow, delude like a charm
Glow like a halo, deviate like a fog
Harden by stubbornness, change by sincerity
Impression is cost by pride
The colorful world, the interest influence
The ruin of expectation, the chance to break
To the open mind, to the suspicious eyes
Impression is the gate to knowledge

Thats My Impression
(tennant/lowe)
------------
I went looking for someone I couldnt find
Staring at faces by the serpentine
Walking slowly, I realised
Youd been and gone - I know you lied
Thats my impression
Thats my impression
Thats my impression
Thats my impression
The wind was chilly and the sky was dull
I went for shelter to the temple
Once inside I couldnt believe my eyes
Youd been and gone - I know you lied
Thats my impression
Thats my impression
Thats my impression
Thats my impression
Go to a club - you think Ill be there
I dont go cause Im not a member
You said you went to apologise
Its plain to me thats one more lie
Thats my impression
Thats my impression
Thats my impression (impression)
Thats my impression
I went looking for someone I couldnt find
Staring at faces by the serpentine
Walking slowly, I realised
Youd been and gone - I know you lied
Thats my impression
Thats my impression
Thats my impression
Thats my impression
Its an expression
And a suggestion
I learned my lesson
Thats my impression
Thats my impression (impression)
Thats my impression
Thats my impression (impression)
I learned my lesson
I went looking for someone I couldnt find
Staring at faces by the serpentine
Walking slowly I - realised
Youd been and gone - I know
You lied - thats my impression
I know you lied
And thats my impression
Thats my impression
My impression
Thats my impression

The image is mortal.
Paintings won’t last longer than the wall it bears.
Image won’t last longer than the people who bear.
Your imprints will die when the people
Known to you die.
Your image is as much mortal as you are.

You are inescapable
Dear, you, who once had made
In me a permanent impression,
Cannot altogether deny your image
By denying your love and concern.
Dear, you, who once had made
In me an ever lasting vibration,
Cannot outright wipe out your image
By denying me ways and access.
Dear, you, whose striking image
Had become an integral part of me,
Cannot bar me from acting in what way
I want to deal with you in my brain.
I can catch you where no one can watch you.
I can hold you, where you can kill your fear,
On every part from head to foot
Without any scar to your modesty.
With you in me, I turn a bisexual.
Self fertilization takes place with in,
With your elusiveness notwithstanding,
Without prejudice to your chastity.
Dear, you, with such impression as the ones
That you had made in me for a long time
Cannot forbid me from feeding on you
In my memory, no corporally.

Show Me The Real You
Hey remember me?
Hard to forget, right?
Insistent, demanding
When we were both sixteen
I remember you in the spotlight
You seemed so in control
Hiding behind your wall
Have you ever met somebody who could
Unmask you
The way you unmask me
Guidelines and sub-routines
You make me forget the things
That I put in place to save my face
But I'm not sure if it's a face worth saving
Show me the real you
And I'll show you the real me
Can we make a second first impression baby
Show me the real you
And I'll show you the real me
Can we make a second first impression, baby
Maybe, maybe, yeah
Seven years have past
Now here I come
I caught the briefest glimpse
I haven't seen it since
When you smile at me
Where'd you smile from
From insecurity
But you're secure with me
Have you never let somebody in to
Unmask you
The way you unmask me
I know it's dangerous
Please don't be afraid because
This is your life I used to live
Now I know It's not a life worth living
Show me the real you
And I'll show you the real me
Can we make a second first impression baby
Show me the real you
And I'll show you the real me
Can we make a second first impression, baby
Maybe, maybe, yeah
I know I'm acting stupid
Can we make a second first impression
I want us to be honest, open
Show your face to me
Show me the real you
And I'll show you the real me
Can we make a second first impression baby
Show me the real you
And I'll show you the real me
Can we make a second first impression, baby
Maybe, maybe, yeah

It Is Not A Reflection Of You
The evil that you experience, feel, how abusive people react to you, their false impressions of you, estimates of you, responses to you, is a reflection of their evil, prejudice, blindness, of their lack of development, it is not a reflection of you, of your abilities, intent, it is not an impression of the impression you make, it is a reflection of them, their limitations and ignorance. Their being distorts good, mocks love, an amplifies weakness, such have, are become, such are fake, superficial enlightenment, unconscious.

Lost In Image-II
He elocuted speeches.
He himself did not write.
But he had persona.
And stage presence.
The best representation,
Of a manufactured image.
And not seen since,
In their eyesight.
And it has been more than twenty years...
He made any appearances,
Of a questionable leadership.
Made to give a lasting impression.
Greater now than ever,
After his death.
And this very day...
People with this addiction ask themselves,
'What would 'he' do?
What would 'he' say? '
And even though he has long passed away...
There are those doing the best they can,
Trying to recreate his comments made.
Since they...
Are lost,
In his image!
And images sustains their beliefs,
Too!

Am i just a flower?
Used only when wanted, givin away after.
am i just a flower?
People only use me, to make a 'big impression'
but what happens after words?
im tossed back aside,
ready for the next person's pick.
am i really just a Flower? ?
Used only as givin beauty,
sure people may get inspiration from me,
but am to be just a flower?
What about when i die?
will they still then care?
no, cause i guess im just a flower.
im only used to be givin away,
or make a 'big impression',
waiting for the next person's pick,
im only just a flower.
life is so cruel to treat me as such,
but hey, who cares right?
im Only just a Flower.

Look What The Good People Done
They were drinkin his wine
They were usin his name
They were takin the time to take
His name in vain
Look what the good people done to him
Look what the good people done to him
They were havin their fun
Look what the good people done
Well, the good people say things that they
Dont really mean
They look so convincing cause theyre
So squeaky clean
Look what the good people done to him
Look what the good people done to him
Its a million to one
Look what the good people done
They (? put him on walkin down ? ), they said,
Lets go on with the show
And they pad him on whiskey and say, boy,
Youve got to go
Look what the good people done to him
Look what the good people done to him
Hes (? on the highway ? ) to none
Look what the good people done
All the newspaper men
They were lookin for names
Pulled him out of a hat
They needed someone to blame
Look what the good people done to him
Look what the good people done to him
He thought he was the one
Look what the good people done
Well, the good people say,
Keep your nose to the ground
Then theyll build you right up
Just to knock you right down
Look what the good people done to you
Look what the good people done to you
They were gettin their kicks
Look what the good people nixed
[spoken - here we go]
Look what the good people done to me
Look what the good people done to me
Look what the good people done to me
Look what the good people done to me
They were havin no fun
Look what the good people done

Parents’ sacrifice
Some parents starve to feed their young ones;
Some beg, some toil, some steal or cheat.
But the greatest sacrifice parents make
Is their fasting from extramarital love.

The age of image.
The people who know you
Are the canvas on which
Your image, good or bad,
Is drawn rightly or not.
Mind! The image you built
Will die with the canvas
When it’s torn or worn out.
Yet, each one wants an image.
Don't we desire leaving
A child for our copy,
which will not last long though?

Having pity is a pleasure.
You can then boost your image.
Being pitiable is too.
You will get people to love you.

People are good; friends are good;
Neighbours are good; kin are good;
Siblings are good; offspring are good:
Till your interests clash with theirs.

Love & Addiction
Put on your bad self
Get out your party dress
And fix up your makeup
Try to make a good impression
This is a new world
Were all the same here
Well, maybe not the same
But you know what I mean
Ive got everything that you want
Ive got everything and
Someday Ill be president
And Ive got everything that you want
Ive got everything
Except the single thing you really need
Separate love from addiction
Its not the same
I know I see desperation pulling my strings
Hey, eliza, now what do you want?
I play piano, and I sing like a hummingbird
And, oh, I forgot that
Hummingbirds dont sing
It doesnt matter really
You know what I mean
Ive got everything that you want
Ive got everything
And its a brand new world, eliza
Ive go everything that you want
Ive got everything
Except the single thing you really need
Set away blood and rejection
I know I see the generation staring back at me
Wasted away
Wasting my time
This picture you see
Is nothing like the one you wanted painted of me
Well, I deserve this
Thats all right with me
(? ? ) you should know (? ? )
It wouldnt be the first time
You know, its happened a couple of times before
Man, I dont even expect much anymore
But anyway
Its not as if I were waiting for you to come and make it all okay
Seperate between blood and rejection
I know I see visions of people running over me
Yeah, wasted away
Wasting my time
This picture you see
Is nothing like the one I wanted painted of me
Put on your bad self
Get out your party dress
And fix up your makeup
Try to make a good impression
