The cost of the conquests
With every conquest you put on weight.
With every conquest grudges would mount.
The built up grudges will finish you off..
Must you reap happiness by such conquests?
Julius Caesar, the man of conquests,
Was finished off by the weight of his fame.

Grudges
Life is too short
To bear grudges
They say.
But I wonder…
Why life makes you
Struggle so much
That you have
Grudges.
Wish life was one
Sweet sailing…
With happy memories
And no grudges.

As much elusive
Woman is entertaining.
Men come, see and exit
without any conquest.
Yes, woman conquests
By not contesting.

Sonnet 19
let fame be exchange of the masses
and power be sought by ambitious few.
love recognizes only souls and asks us
to divert energies to its intent and view.
time and circumstance thieve fame away.
changing fortune's inconstant as wind.
all things but this to time fall prey-
in love does fortune eternal store find.
not pages for the unloving ear to digest-
your story is chapters written in despair-
neither fame nor power may gain conquest;
humble and simple, love finds access there.
your eyes' rhetoric conquests earth's might!
reflected in that glass is love's true Light!

Put The Weight On My Shoulders
Put the weight on my shoulders
Take the load off of your mind
Cause the headwinds that blow
Will fade away in time
Rest yourself on my waters
Take the lifeline from me
Rise above what has passed
And let yourself be free
I only know what love must bear
Through laiden times I will be there
And when your down Ill break the fall
Loose the weight on my shoulders
It aint no weight at all
I only know what love must do
When fortune cries Ill follow you
And when your down Ill break your fall
Put the weight on my shoulders
It aint no weight at all
Put the weight on my shoulders
See you star how it shines
Cause theyre so many dreams
Left to find
Put the weight on my shoulders .....
Put the weight on my shoulders .....
Put the weight on my shoulders .....
Put the weight on my shoulders .....
Put the weight on my shoulders .....

Weight Of The World
I used to carry the weight of the world
On my back
I never trusted my friends or my girl
Can you imagine that
I used to shuffle my feet
When I walked I hung my head down low
Kept to myself all my private thoughts
But when I met you girl.
I dropped the weight of the world
Weight of the world
I dropped the weight of the world
Weight of the world.
I knew some people used to dance all night
But not me
I never knew if it was wrong or right
To be so free
I used to close my eyes
And try to hide from the light of love
Spent all my time with the darkness inside
But when I met you girl.
I dropped the weight of the world
Weight of the world
I dropped the weight of the world
Weight of the world.
I was alone for all of my life
I was alone for all of my life
I was alone for all of my life
I was alone for all of my life
Until you came my way
I dropped the weight of the world
Weight of the world
I dropped the weight of the world
Weight of the world.

This Weight
This weight is weighing on my heart
This weight is tearing us apart
This weight is weighing on my soul
And it just wont leave me alone
You know Im talking about this weight
You know Im talking about this weight
In the neighboorhood people watching me
Got to move to protect my sanity
Anonymity is all I want you see
You may think its mediocrity, but
You know Im talking about this weight
You know Im talking ahout this weight
And this hollywood aint no good
I would rather be like robin hood
If I could only loose this...
You know Im talking about this weight
You know Im talking about this weight
And this hollywood aint no good
I would rather be like robin hood
If I could only loose this...
You know Im talking about this weight
You know Im talking about this weight
In the very first it was rock and roll
Set me free in body and soul
But this weight is just bringing me down
Its never satisfied every time I go to town
You know Im talking about this weight....

The Weight
Against the day I am powerless
so I rise
to face it
in the mirror.
Finding
a vaguely
familiar face
I wash it,
shave it,
prepare it
for a world that will not see it.
The children are first off the mark.
They are young
and carry
less weight.
When does it change?
When will they feel
gravity as if for the first time?
My wife is next to leave.
She carries
the weight
so gracefully
it looks
effortless.
The strength
of this Woman
keeps it all
from collapsing in on us.
The weight that is mine comes in pieces
I
can
barely
lift.
They are
in my chest,
on my back,
arms
and legs.
Without crutches
I am hopeless, cannot walk out the door.
This weight is not the same for you and me.
This weight
has a cost.
This weight
demands
its due.
This weight
exacts its toll.
This weight
commands
we each have our own price to pay.

Surrender
"Real self-conquest is the conquest of ourselves not by ourselves but by the Holy Spirit. Self-conquest is really self-surrender." Thomas Merton.
Look to the west
and see how your eyes
must narrow
or turn inward
to shut out
the glare
that precedes
darkness.
Hills wrapped in haze
lose all definition
become flat, devoid
of fold or crevasse.
No sudden rise
blocks your way
to the edge
at the top.
Surrender there
to the light
before
night.

To survive me
I built castles after castles
That went one after the other
By their own weight and time.
I built them of sand, living on shores.
That is the fact I have known of late.
I haven’t left my efforts.
I now make footprints deep
In sand for them to survive me.

My Einstein Theory of Relaluvity
I have built a scale
To place the world upon it,
The weight I saw which I announce
Was not in pounds but by the ounce.
But by my equation of delight,
Trillions of O's I did discover
Did not match my weight of love
I bestow on my true lover

Conquest Of The Planet Of The Apes
Conquest, it's a type of quest
They called it a conquest of the planet of the apes
Conquest, they played it at request
It was another type of quest
For the planet of the apes
Conquest!
Request!
We're gonna have an inquest
But this is a type of quest
For the planet of the apes
Yeah!

Decision To Move
Nobody can swim
indefinitely.
With a weight.
Tied around their legs.
Sometimes a weight.
Can be a single
person or event.
Sometimes a weight
combines to be more.

Names of months and their relevance
January is named after Janus,
Who is the Roman God
In charge of the world.
February is Februalia,
A time sacrifices are made
And sins atoned for.
March is Mar, God of War,
And father of Romulus,
Who ruled the Roman Empire.
April is Aperira in Latin,
Meaning to open the buds in Spring.
May is Maia, Goddess of Fertility.
June is Juno, wife and sister of
Jupiter and protector of women.
July is Emperor Julius Caesar.
August is Augustus, grandson of
Julius Caesar’s sister.
September, October, November and December
Are Septen, Octo, Noven and Decm
Standing for seven, eight, nine and ten.
The relevance of names are lost
When their connectivity is not understood.

Beliefs of the doubtful existent
Caesar has been dead; so has been Brutus.
Gandhi has been dead; so has been Hitler.
Where did their souls, if any, go out?
Where had those souls come from before?
Beliefs of heaven and hell are there,
Neither proved, nor disproved as yet.
As such, suchlike beliefs carry weight.

Your 'Weight' Is Beginning To Show
Fame.
Name recognition...
And success.
Hmmm...
Let's see.
I'll try some of that.
With a side order of...
This.
But not too much.
And...
A lot of that with relish.
But,
I do have a request.
Is it possible to get a taste of all of that,
Without anyone knowing...
I'm the one that will be feeding off of this?
And have been for awhile now.
You see...
I don't want anyone to notice,
I'm carrying all this 'weight' around.
'We'll do our best to keep your secret.
But,
I must say this...
Your 'weight' is beginning to show.'
Well...
I do hope it's in the right places.
