Sorrow has joyful shadows

Had I not crafted your company
No sorrow could have crept in.
Had you not shelved your consent
No sorrow might have stayed in.
The game is lost; the play is lost.
Finality of our separation is certain.
Yet the reminiscence stands to gain.

Sorrow is better than insomnia.

Neither a sister, nor a daughter,
Nor any one by blood you are.
Yet my sorrow never sleeps.
Never a tryst, nor a rendezvous,
Nor an innuendo, you granted.
Yet my sorrow never sleeps.
Glamour, splendor, or pretext,
You never played to gravitate.
Yet my sorrow never sleeps.
Formidable and forbidden you were.
Sojourn was so short.
Parting was abrupt and aborting.
Yet my sorrow never sleeps.
Every beginning has an end.
An episode should, however, end.
But abortion and usurpation?
May be, by a boon I’ll see you soon.
That can retrieve our past monsoon.
But the crop is already gone.
So my sorrow never sleeps.
Time was over before I could score.
No more game is set up in the court.
That is why my sorrow never sleeps.
With your parting, came to an end
All my springs and monsoons.
Let my sorrow never sleep.
It is better than insomnia.

My Only Song

Man of Sorrow
Man of Pain
You took it all
Without any gain.
You loved us all
With gentle eyes
Man of Sorrow
Man of Pain

39 plus one
Lashes great fall on your back
A crown of thorns
Pressed down around your head
The blood runs down
and yet you cry
'So many lost;
So many die.'

Man of Sorrow
Man of Pain
Leave it now-
And cry again
Man of sorrow
Man of pain
Your troubled heart
Feels my pain.

Lifted up to die
Bitter gall served fresh
As wine
Yet you'd do it again
For one lost sheep
That beats in the air.

Man of sorrow
Man of pain
When is it enough?
So much grief
You swallow up
Yet you bore it
And demand me live-
Man of sorrow
I humbled myself down.

All glory to you
Man of sorrow
All thrones belong to you
Man of pain
You gave me life and
Even more
I have nothing
But myself to give -
Yet I keep taking it back
Man of Sorrow
Man of Pain.

Sorrow and joy

Being in poverty is sorrow.
Leaving comfort is sorrow.
Wish withheld is sorrow.
Fear upheld is sorrow.
Contact with unpleasantness is sorrow.
Separation from pleasantness is sorrow.
If there is no shadow
There will be no ray.
Both compliments each other..

Sorrow Under Mist

Mist -

Giving wispy vapour to the breath,
Cool calm to autumn afternoons,
A hovering air of mysticism
Over brooding lakes -

Was different here,
Affording company, closeness -
A caring arm around her shoulders.

In the eyes, a once-clear oceanic blue
Wavered under water -
Tears telling torrid truths
She couldn't face -
Like the glowering image in the mirror
You don't see in your mind's eye
Of compensation; delusion.

We see her sitting on the concrete steps
That led down to the dew-laden garden.
She's peering up, sensing her diffuse companion,
Refreshing in its chill; giving crispness
To the stealth of dulling evening.

But the bite of air couldn't lift the sorrow
Of pale youth in love,
Shouldered by a not-in-love and scoffing eye.

Rejection hurt;
Hurts -
Wrenches deep -
Emotion that we can't deny!

Plus and minus is more than zero.

You sapped my soul and snapped the cord
When you left, forever, my company
Because it is you who gave me sap and cord
When you were with me in love harmony.
Maybe no sorrow, had I not courted you.
Maybe no sorrow had you not drifted off.
Pleasure of reminiscence is the end product.

Lost in everything

Lost in thought
lost in pain
lost in fear
that you can never retain!

Lost in trouble
lost in grief
lost in heartbreak
that you can never relief!

Lost in sorrow
lost in death
lost in misery
That you can never refresh!

Lost in life
lost in words
lost in everything
That you can never return!

Lost in chaos
lost in peace
lost in burdens
that you can never release!

Because these are the things
we think and feel
through the good and the bad
It's a forever done deal!

Sorrow And My Nation

Nation is drowned in sorrow,
School, college, hospitals and office;
Cinema halls, all are lost in sorrow.
Wrinkles on the bed narrate the tale of sorrow,
Of newly wed.
Even the flowers of gajra are sad,
Spreading the stench of sorrow.

Sorrow here and sorrow there,
Sorrow every where,
Even the sorrow is dancing on
The dancing floor
And hugging sadness and sorrow.

Nation has decomposed due to sorrow,
By her own creations,
As the unending greed for quotas,
From the obnoxious citizens,
But all the cruel palms,
Giving, delivering only sorrow.

Sorrow! My bosom companion,
Filling the nook and corners,
In all one sick breathing,
I have seen and met only you.
In the calm nights, cool mornings;
In thunder, in rain and tempests;
Only has spread the shoots of dark,
No way seems to get rid off.

Nation is crying and crying,
Leaders erect crumbling sand houses,
Ground was covered with broken glasses,
Only, the dark and dark visible;
My nation, a failed land;
Of secular and social justice game.

Where people always beg with begging bowl,
Play cheating, looting, killing and raping;
Where nation is completely filled,
With the sigh boards of,
Sorrow and sorrow.

Sorrow's Bane

Love is the one thing
That keeps our spirits whole
When Sorrow comes a knocking
With hurts that touch our soul

When our world falls around us
Darkness fills our dreams
It’s love that lifts our spirits
Bridging Sorrow's streams

Love calls us from the brink
Of being swallowed by the stream
Dispels depression
And warms us in it’s gleam

Love helps us through the horror
Of love lost or led astray
Through mans trespass
Or angels spirit them away

Love comes to give us comfort
And wipe away the tears
Love will shield our spirits
When Sorrow's shadow nears

Love’s light whisper
Will stifle Sorrow's gain
In life’s losses
Love is Sorrow’s bane

Dear Sorrow, Death Awaits Your Acquaintance

The rain keeps Falling
And the Pain goes on
Your name I try calling
But the words just pass on by
The air
Bitter and cold
The shivers now suddenly unfold
I start to lose my breath
And once again see death
Face to Face we see
That life for me, isn't supposed to be
'She is Not important,
Shes lost in the shadows..
Drowning in grief and pain
There will be no tomorrow,
For she is all Sorrow'
'She is all sorrow'
There shall be no Tomorrow for Dear Sweet Sorrow.
Sorrow, Sorrow In the air
Death Has come so stay prepared.

Ruminating the past

I gained my parents at my birth.
I gained my brothers and sisters
And then my kids and their kids
Every gain to me was a pleasure.
Then I grieve over the loss of them,
One by one, or at leaving them.
I weep and weep, profoundly weep
Over their death or in their sick beds.
What we lose is what we had gained.
The gained are destined to be lost
Or from them we shall be lost.
I recall the good they have done.
I repent the wrongs done to them.
Rumination of pleasure and regrets
Keep me at the old age engaged.

This Masquerade

This masquerade
Are we really happy with
This lonely game we play
Looking for the right words to say
Searching but not finding
Understanding anyway
Were lost in this masquerade
Both afraid to say were just too far away
From being close together from the start
We tried to talk it over
But the words got in the way
Were lost inside this lonely game we play
(*) throughts of leaving disappear
Each time I see your eyes
And no matter how hard I try
To understand the reason
Why we carry on this way
And were lost in this masquerade
We tried to talk it over
But the words got in the way
Were lost inside this lonely game we play
Repeat (*)
Were lost in a masquerade

The Balance

The sting of time dances on
In the night and early morn
Singing of love gained and love lost
We are left to count the cost
Sorrow visits then goes away
Joy awakens a brand new day
When joy dances and sings with you
Sorrow lay asleep waiting for its time to
It is in the balance we stand
Between the two we take their hand
Who can say which is greater
Who holds the scale between now and later
By what infinite measure shall we weigh
The joy and sorrow that visits each day
For both are bound together by love
Pulling at us with the push and the shove
From joy the happiness from sorrow the pain
Making our lives full with the loss and the gain
Within each our growth is found
The larger we grow the smaller the sound
Of joy and sorrow we hear
For they shall mark every year
That we draw breath upon the earth
Showing to each of us what love is worth

2 Can Play That Game

I lost all the love I had for you
the day that you cheated on me boo
and there can never be no me and you
cause lately you been asking foney
I'm sorry you can't do me like those
other busters from around the way
so if you wanna play then lets play
believe me girl two can play that game

What makes you think that you could run a game on me
when I was true to you girl from the begin
I was in love with you but you never really loved me at all
so I gotta let you go I put my heart out there then you closed the door
shut me out like a stepchild in the cold
ooh but it's ok I found someone else to love me anyway
so I gotta let know

I lost all the love I had for you
the day that you cheated on me boo
and there can never be no me and you
cause lately you been asking foney
I'm sorry you can't do me like those
other busters from around the way
so if you wanna play then lets play
believe me girl two can play that game

I'm not trying to hold you if you wanna leave
cause trust me I've got alots of girl on my team
and I wanted to be with you
at first no one else mattered to me
until you try to play me
baby tell me why o why would you throw it all away
don't you know that every dog has it's day
but now that I'm that so over you
there could never be you and me

I lost all the love I had for you
the day that you cheated on me boo
and there can never be no me and you
cause lately you been asking foney
I'm sorry you can't do me like those
other busters from around the way
so if you wanna play then lets play
believe me girl two can play that game

See I don't wanna hear your tried excuses
I ain't trying check for you
I wanna stay problem free
look at all the pain you caused me
I don't love you know more
I don't need you in my life
so i'm saying bye bye bye

I'm saying bye bye baby
bye saying bye bye baby
I don't need you no more
saying bye bye baby
bye bye
saying bye bye baby
I got someone else to love

I lost all the love I had for you
the day that you cheated on me boo
and there can never be no me and you
cause lately you been asking foney
I'm sorry you can't do me like those
other busters from around the way

Like My Own

There's no sorrow like the sorrow of a martyr'd soul,
There's no sorrow like the sorrow of one who is alone.
There's no sorrow like the sorrow of loving one who's gone,
There's never been a sorrow so much deeper than my own.

Lost

Lost my mind, forgotten my way
Cant tell the difference between night and day
Lost all meaning and driven with strife
Become a stranger to my own life
Lost when I stare empty into the mirror
And the person staring back is unfamiler
Lost the sense of what's surreal or reality
On the verge of losing my sanity
Lost in my will and in my soul
Cant think straight I lose control
Lost in a world full of pain and sorrow
Lost in a world were there is no tomorrow

Dice is not God’s game.

‘God does not play with dice.’
Whether you turn wise or a vice,
Whether you lure Him with praise
He will not play you with dice.
Who is just? Who is worth? -
He is not afflicted with.
Reward and punishment is not his job.
Your birth and death are alike.
So are your ups and downs, mind.
The game of dice, you devised,
Where he has no part to play.

Sorrow blue

Of sorrow blue, and life in the mist
Nights in the shadows of a dream
Of sorrow blue, I’m losing the rest
Of my life, drowned in the stream

With the sunset that bites my heart
I can not help but to feel alone & cold
Of sorrow blue, I am just a part
I’m not me, to the dark my soul was sold

In sorrow and blues, hours like days
Like year, years as salty as our tears
Rusted faces form old lives, in many ways
Reminds me of lost hopes and living fears

Sorrow blue, moments before the dawn
That is when we part ways like old friends
With the sunrise, I am no longer a pawn
For my sorrow, no longer worried about the ends

Every day there is a Rendez-Vous
With my inner self and my eternal fall
With the other me, my sorrow blue
Every day, I will pick up the sorrow’s call

I Am Love's Profound Lost Love

I am love's profound lost love,
I fade each night away.
I have gained nothing yet lost all,
grasping the perpetual sway.

But woe as sorrow did covers me,
I kneeled before thee humbled and lost.
I gave unto thee a blood soaked quill,
and a text of a tragic play.
