Several battles of a holy war
When I was in my mother’s womb
I fought my first battle.
I waged my second on her lap,
The third one the chest of my father,
The fourth necessarily with the girlfriends,
The fifth, a heroic battle at first night,
And the sixth one with my children.
Then battles were with elusive women
The penultimate one is with grandchildren
The last battle is to be with Yemah.

We Battle To See Acts Of Love
You can battle any illness you wish...
But,
Battle with the act of love.
You can fill you mind with terrorists...
That keep your fears endearing.
But the fact your battles fought have no love.
And don't you know that you...
The giving up of anything,
Will return.
So why not battle with the act of love.
Burdens carried on one's back,
Seem to be attached...
'Cause they don't do their,
Battles with love.
Those who pick their battles,
Pick their battles without facts.
'Cause many have no protected love.
If there is love,
There is a battle...
But the battle can be won,
With a love that's felt in everyone.
Those who pick their battles,
Pick their battles without facts.
'Cause many have no protected love.
You can battle any illness you wish...
But,
Battle with the act of love.
You can battle any illness you wish...
But,
Battle with the act of love.
Those who pick their battles,
Pick their battles without facts.
'Cause many have no protected love.
Those who pick their battles,
Pick their battles without facts.
'Cause many have no protected love.
If we pick our battles,
We must be matter of fact....
That we battle to see acts of love.
We battle to see acts of love.
Let's say we do it...
That we battle to see acts of love!

To the people of Egypt
The first battle has been won
With peace and comfort,
Now the final battle is to be fought,
The battle of power and ego.
Beware of it,
It's far more dangerous.

A Courageous Battle
A courageous battle is being fought
By so many people today.
They've been stricken down with sickness
That has come their way.
Whether it's in the mind or body
It takes away their peace..
It's with them constantly, never ending
Until the pain does cease.
Those that are older seem to accept it
Better than the young.
And when it's a child, they are the strongest
For they seem to have hung
Their battle for life on a clothesline
Flowing with the breeze,
Never fearing the unknown at all
Facing their battle with ease.
This battle for life seems futile at times
But still we fight anyhow.
For that's the spirit of humanity at work
In its battle before its bow.

The mother's battle for her child with sickness, with poverty, with war, with all the forces of exploitation and callousness that cheapen human life needs to become a common human battle, waged in love and in the passion for survival.

The Battle Cry Of Freedom (Southern Version)
Our flag is proudly floating
On the land and on the main,
Shout, shout the battle cry of Freedom!
Beneath it oft we've conquered,
And we'll conquer oft again!
Shout, shout the battle cry of Freedom!
CHORUS: Our Dixie forever!
She's never at a loss!
Down with the eagle
And up with the cross!
We'll rally 'round the bonny flag,
We'll rally once again,
Shout, shout the battle cry of Freedom!
Our gallant boys have marched
To the rolling of the drums,
Shout, shout the battle cry of Freedom!
And the leaders in charge cry out,
'Come, boys, come!'
Shout, shout the battle cry of Freedom!-CHORUS
They have laid down their lives
On the bloody battle field,
Shout, shout the battle cry of Freedom!
Their motto is resistance -
'To tyrants we'll not yield!'
Shout, shout the battle cry of Freedom!-CHORUS
While our boys have responded
And to the fields have gone,
Shout, shout the battle cry of Freedom!
Our noble women also
Have aided them at home,
Shout, shout the battle cry of Freedom!-CHORUS

The Battle Is The Lords
Written by michael mckay
There is no pain jesus cant feel
No hurt he can not heal
All things work according to his perfect will
No matter what youre going through
Remember God is using you
For the battle is not yours
Its the lords
Theres no sadness jesus cant feel
And there is no sorrow
That he can not heal
For all things work
According to the masters holy will
No matter what youre going through
Remember that God is only using you
For the battle is not yours
Its the lords
Its the lords
Yes its the lords
Hold your head up high
Dont you fright
Its the lords
Its the lords
Yes its the lords
No matter what
Youre going through
Remember that god
Only wants to use you
For the battle is not yours
Its the lords
No matter what
You happen to go through right now
Remember that in the midst of it all
God only wants to use you
No matter what youre going through
For the battle is not yours
Its the lords
No matter what it is
That youre going through
Hold your head up, stick your chest out
And remember hes using you
No matter what youre going through
God is only using you
For this battle is not yours alone
This battle is not yours, no
You can not handle it all by yourself
No, no, no, no, no, no
Its not yours
This battle is not yours
Its the lords, not yours
This battle is not yours
The lord is the only one who can fight it
He wants to use you as his vessel
So be open to him
Its not yours
No its not yours
Its the lords, not yours
The battle is not yours
Its the lords
Hallelujah
Yeah!

The battle between good and evil is a legitimate theme for a Fantasy (or for any work of fiction, for that matter), but in real life that battle is fought chiefly in the individual human heart. Too many contemporary Fantasies take the easy way out by externalizing the struggle, so the heroic protagonists need only smite the evil minions of the dark power to win the day. And you can tell the evil minions, because they're inevitably ugly and they all wear black. I wanted to stand much of that on its head. In real life, the hardest aspect of the battle between good and evil is determining which is which.

The Epic Stars
The heroic stars spending themselves,
Coining their very flesh into bullets for the lost battle,
They must burn out at length like used candles;
And Mother Night will weep in her triumph, taking home her heroes.
There is the stuff for an epic poem--
This magnificent raid at the heart of darkness, this lost battle--
We don't know enough, we'll never know.
Oh happy Homer, taking the stars and the Gods for granted.

The Gash
Is that gash in your leg
Really why you have stopped?
?Cause I've noticed all the others
Though they're gashed, they're still going
?Cause I feel like the real reason
That you're quitting, that you're admitting
That you've lost all the will to battle on
Will the fight for our sanity
Be the fight of our lives?
Now that we've lost all the reasons
That we thought that we had
Still the battle that we're in
Rages on till the end
With explosions, wounds are open
Sights and smells, eyes and noses
But the thought that went unspoken
Was understanding that you're broken
Still the last volunteer battles on
Battles on
Battles on

My Almighty Comes To Defend With A Rescue
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles from a saddle I no longer sit!
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles from a saddle I no longer sit!
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles.
I...
Do believe,
My Creator has a plan for me.
Without those battles,
Fought straddled to a saddle.
And I don't,
Fight any battle
Strapped high on any saddle.
No I don't,
Fight any battle
Strapped high on any saddle.
My Almighty comes,
To defend
With a rescue.
And to fight my battles.
Those battles fought from saddles.
My Almighty comes,
To defend
With a rescue.
And to fight my battles.
Those battles fought from saddles.
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles from a saddle I no longer sit!
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles from a saddle I no longer sit!
No more fighting battles.
No more fighting battles.
My Almighty comes,
To defend
With a rescue.
And to fight my battles.
Those battles fought from saddles.
My Almighty comes,
To defend
With a rescue.
And to fight my battles.
Those battles fought from saddles.
My Almighty comes,
To defend
With a rescue.

Soldier
The soldier, he has many battle scars.
But there's only a few, others can see.
The wounds, they did not kill him,
They made him who he was called to be.
Although some of his battles were easy,
Through each of his battles he died.
The pieces, which were his true enemy.
Were the pieces that did not survive.
When the soldier, he goes into battle,
He must know who his enemies are.
They are the ones that would harm another,
And make the soldier, seem like he, was the star.
It is only once you discover the enemy,
The march to victory, then can begin.
For the war that the soldier is fighting.
Is the battle he fights from within.
In each of us there is a soldier.
And each day, we fight the good fight.
For the ones who walk into victory,
Are the ones who find their true light.

The More Things Change
The more we see real change, the more things remain the same,
In regards to the world’s morality, and what moves you and me.
There’s a battle for righteousness, which is going on in all of us,
A battle opposing what is right, through evil forces of the night.
Though oblivious to it some may be, this is a battle for eternity,
A battle using hearts and minds, with many people, of all kinds.
The battle waged by Satan friend, a wicked battle, unto the end,
One warring against every soul, to get a harvest from man’s fall.
With nothing new under the sun, Satan still today uses everyone,
And his strategy’s still the same, as the Lord he’s out to defame.
Satan has one desire for all, the eternal damnation of man’s soul,
After influencing you to disbelieve, he continues only to deceive.
Satan is determined because Christ, still offers all men New Life,
Contrary to eternal death ahead, for him, who says God is dead.
It is the Devil’s unchanging ploy, to deceive all and then destroy,
And Satan today is alive and well, seducing multitudes into Hell.
All hope men have in this life, as the Devil fills hearts with strife,
Is in He, who changes not at all, Christ, who died for every soul,
His plan since Adam and Eve, is Eternal Life for all who believe,
As the last change Satan will see, is the Lake of Fire for eternity.
