Puppy and kitten
I had been with a kitten,
With whose love I was smitten.
Warmth wafted us between.
She left after a good innings.
I had been with a puppy,
In whose company too I was happy.
Currents flowed between us.
I left her in the beginning of the innings.
One day I had a vivid dream,
Wherein came the puppy before my avid eyes,
Wagging, her head under my cares.
The puppy, not the kitten, I rules.
The one who is in your stream
will only come in your dream.

Puppy In A Cup
Have a cup of puppy,
Puppy in a cup.
Brown and slightly sugary,
Puppy in a cup.
Warm, soft and cuddly,
Puppy in a cup.
Don't drink the puppy, silly,
Just pick the puppy up!
Dog Trick #1 & #2
Dog Trick #1 (Puppy Eyes)
How can a dog... make you smile
A wretched old dog with puppy eyes
How can a dog make you want to cry
Lying there knowing he's about to die
How can a dog make you think of Life
of the After-Life, and Other Lives
How can a dog make you realize...
How can a dog with puppy eyes
Looking at you trying not to cry
How can a dog with puppy eyes
Smiling goodbye
Dog Trick #2 (Wag the Tail)
I was in the park walking the dog today
When I saw a couple both with walking canes
A shopping bag between them they were bent and old
But suddenly they changed when they saw my happy dog
Whose tail was wagging back and forth so furiously
Indeed he kind of looked delirious to me
It made them laugh and smile it brought tears to my eyes
This couple still worthy of life
So eager and willing to smile

The Puppy and Me
A puppy was next door; I poured all my love.
The puppy grew warm, her tail wagging a little,
That made me warm, my spirit in glow.
Out of sight she went, yet threw her glances,
That made her absence a balm, not a scar.
That day she turned her back, her tail drooping,
That killed my spirit; I am free of sore.
A viewer lost the vision of a dancer
When the light failed. He is disturbed.
A listener lost the voice of a singer
When the mike went off. He is disturbed.
When the performer herself is off
The stage, with no third force to disturb,
The audience simply vacates the place.
I love the puppy for her pleasure;
I leave it when it loses pleasure.

A Live Kitty and a Puppy Atop a T.V.!
A live kitty
And a live puppy
Atop a TV!
I placed a kitty;
Also a puppy,
Atop a TV
Box – my ditty!
But there wasn’t much place;
They could not fit the base;
Each had a lovely face;
My eyes began to gaze!
The kitty girl was smart,
And sat as if by art;
The puppy boy was small
And slept until my call!
Cute little animals
Looking so lovely;
To make them sit there,
Wasn’t that easy!
I coaxed them to do it;
When one sat, the other stood;
Both had to pose,
For my photo, close.
The kitty mewed;
The puppy whined;
They never liked
The narrow place!
The kitty black
Sat with duck-back!
For puppy slack,
I knew not the knack
The light was dull;
Shadows were full;
But both were still,
After some drill.
At last, I clicked a photograph!
It came out well after all;
It wasn’t so clear;
Behind, there was the wall!
And this was done
When I was a boy;
How well they adjust,
Animals, when young!
Like puppies and kittens,
Children too are so innocent;
They do not carry ill-will;
Love looking o’er the window-sill.
The kitty and the puppy
Remained very happy;
They licked the milk together,
From the same container!
They chased each other, playing;
And sometimes even biting;
The kitten mewed and snarled;
The pup would bark and bite.
Young children too are like-wise;
To talk with, they are nice;
They love to eat and play;
From dawn to dusk, throughout the day.
They fight over little things;
Unlike adult earthlings
Forgiving others soon;
Admire the Moon!
And children love small kittens,
And caress them with love;
And like to wear mittens,
Or keep warm ’fore the stove.
And children love small puppies,
And play with them for long;
And tease them to have fun,
And make them to even run.
Alas! Adults are different;
They fight for everything;
They will not forgive others,
Nor forgive their brothers.

Let You Down
I let you down
Let me pick you up
I let you down
Let me climb up you to the top
So I can see the view from up there
Tangled in your hair
I let you down
I have no lid upon my head
But if I did
You could look inside and see
Whats on my mind
I let you down, oh, forgive me
You give me love
Let me walk with you, maybe I could say
Maybe talk with you, open up
And let me through
Dont walk away
Dont walk away
I have no lid upon my head
But if I did
You could look inside and see whats on my mind
You could look inside and see whats on my mind
I let you down
How could I be such a fool like me
I let you down
Tail between my legs
Im a puppy for you love
Im a puppy for you love
I have no lid upone my head
But if I did
You could look inside and see
Whats on my mind , oh its you
I let you down
Im a puppy for your love
Im a puppy for your love
Forgive me
Forgive me
Forgive me
I let you down

cat in the window, Pug on the rug
Lazy cat on the windowsill
Watching curiously
The people passing by
Lazy cat on the windowsill
Seems much more happy
Than you and I
Sleeping puppy lying in the sun
Feet in the air
not a care in the world
Sleeping and dreaming
Puppy’s only concern is:
‘How to catch that squirrel’
Lazy cat wondering
where the people
are hurrying to
Lil’ puppy
Content
With nothing to do
I’m pretty confident
That both the dumb cat and the dog
Are waaaay smarter….than me and you

That's Not All They Do
People do not listen to others.
In fact,
If they are not directly affected...
They could care less.
Not all people.
But enough of them to make this noticed.
'My dog,
Who had been my best and closest friend...
Since a puppy.
Was hit by a bus this morning.
And this makes me sick to my stomach.'
~You?
Many of them have no respect.
Cussing?
You should hear those kids that live near me.
That's not all they do,
When they get on public buses.
It's enough to make me want to throw up too.~
'No. No.
You're not paying me any attention at all.
It was my puppy.'
~You've got a puppy that cusses?
And your a passenger like me on a public bus?
If I were you,
I'd look into having my own reality show.
I have never heard of that before.
That would be an instant hit.~
'What a friend you are! '
~Hey...
What can I say?
You want me to make a few calls for you?
I know I can get you an appointment,
To see somebody.
Male or female? ~
'What are you talking about? '
~You puppy's gender.
Or preference?
A dog that smart can be what it wants.~

Puppy Face
Puppy face is back
With those soft puppy cheeks
A healthy hue
Eyes full of dew
You fill my heart with love
A human form you choose to take
But inside I hear you bark and squeak
And I am sure when nature calls,
You cock a leg and take a leak!
Oh puppy face is back panting in the hall
I see you lolloping about
And jumping high to catch the ball!
You bring me so much sunshine
I'm so glad to be alive
When you are here so full of cheer
Leaping by my side

Puppy Love
Puppy love,
it is not just any ordinary love
it is my love for you
a love that grew
immense
i love you at any expense
Puppy love,
it is not just any ordinary love
its my love for you
it is something true
never ending
i am not pretending
Puppy love,
it is not any ordinary love
it is my love for you
my love
i love you

Introduced to Claim
I remember first noticing,
The mysteriousness...
Of a flower blooming.
The whiskers on kittens.
And a puppy's wagging tail.
I remember wondering,
How God made thunder!
Who and what was crying when it rained?
And when the Sun appeared,
A rainbow came with vivid colors I could name.
I remember walking near a pond,
And watching a frog hop out.
I then became quite curious.
Since I was told,
Only in ponds ducks swam about.
And as I grew older,
I loved to be among the trees.
When the seasons for me began to change,
In New England...
I thought as a child,
Mother Nature was doing this just for me.
I remember first noticing,
The mysteriousness...
Of a flower blooming.
The whiskers on kittens.
And a puppy's wagging tail.
Today as I age...
That same curiosity,
Seems to have remained.
With something new on my journey,
Introduced to claim!

A Alcoholic's Puppy Dog Happiness
I dog fooded long gone I home come
Miles high respect I for animal dumb,
He me look see I love him
Unconditional licking him no whim.
Dollars bring when he come born
Children million money look puppy see forlorn,
Joy in walls house paws thru door
Puppy love wants fooded for whining more.
Whining, more, name brain twisted will call Oliver
Oliver gobbled enough menu no deliver,
Licking frenzy children laugh sadness delete
Puppy dog happiness make family complete, except
If only his loving sloppy lick
Could rid my painful life, a drowning alcoholic
Puppy give life a happy kick
maybe one more drink will do the trick.
nb. Written in the style what alcohol
can do to the brain and start life's
spiral downwards.

This Blacktop Romance
Oh no,
I've gotta tell you how I feel right now,
Kept it bottled up for so long,
Gotta tell you before I go insane,
Can't go to my room and cry now!
You're right infront of me staring into my eyes,
I'm gazing back cos I don't know what to say
I just can't say it to you,
I need to get this shit off my chest,
All I need to say is 'I love you' and thats done,
But it's all puppy love in this blacktop romance
Oh no,
I've just gotta tell you but I acn't,
You'll only say no so what's the point?
I'll cry with the geeks and dive into darkness,
Where the vampires can't hurt us,
I'll build your crypt where we can stay,
Together forever in each others arms
I just can't say it to you,
I need to get this shit off my chest,
All I need to say is 'I love you' and thats done,
But it's all puppy love in this blacktop romance
Oh no,
I'm falling down again, down to my grave,
Blood rains down on my face as I cry,
But I keep singing the words 'I love you',
That keeps me alive in this cruel world we live,
The notion that you might say yes and love me,
We'll cover our necks and live the rest of our lives together
I just can't say it to you,
I need to get this shit off my chest,
All I need to say is 'I love you' and thats done,
But it's all puppy love in this blacktop romance
Oh no,
I said it to your face finally,
Waiting for you to say no and slap me,
But you just stand there gazing into my eyes,
Heaven's gazing on our moment together,
Hoping for a good answer whatever it may be,
And you said those four magic words 'I love you too'
I just can't say it too you but I did,
I really needed to get this shit off my chest,
I said 'I love you' and you said 'I love you too'
So it aint just puppy love in this blacktop romance

Godliness
Riffling through the dictionary
of the mind - or, as the Anglo-Saxons
named it, ‘word-hoard’ -
for a word that exactly matches
what needs to be said,
a word may call out from the page
like that kitten or that puppy
in the pet-shop, which devastatingly
looks you straight in the eye and mutely says
‘Master, treasure me…’
so, the other day, ‘godly’ called to me: as
abbreviated in former times from ‘godlike’;
not a word to suit, say, those fine-minded Hindu pundits
who would want to classify its degrees
of nearness or of distance from the state
of god or gods..
rather, a gentle, misty, English-weather, modest-shining word
which – borrowing a trick from those same
Hindu grammarians – is neither limited, nor unlimited;
or alternatively: is both limited, and unlimited;
allows for small-g god, or big-G God;
allows for frequent changes in the weather;
and thus, will halt at all the stations on the line…
so, stopped in the street by
some presumptuous well-intentioned stranger
with that piercing eye that stoppeth one of three,
enquiring ‘Have you been saved by Jesus yet? ’
we may reply as if we were Dr Johnson
of quirky diction and of his own Dictionary fame,
replying, ‘Sir, my mind has godly inclinations…’
Yes, I’m comfortable with ‘godly’: like
that kitten or that puppy, asking
no more of you than what
shared nature with a smile
feeds and loves..

When You Are With Them
the guy beside you
is cross-eyed, and he is
lonely, and he lives alone in his house
with his puppy and he asks you where he can buy
the best dogfood in this little town,
sitting beside this guy is a short, fat man, and he
is a philosopher, and he is ugly and his belly is as big
as a baby whale, and he is asking if there is a way to find
happiness along this famous beach resort
both of them are projecting the idea that they are not happy
and that they are looking for a way to get happiness
to know where it can be found,
he did not find it with his puppy and neither did the other
one find in the complicated phisophical precepts
we are seated inside a bar and it is six o'clock in the evening
we are looking over the sea separated by this glass wall
i remove my shorts and shirt, i keep my white swimming trunk on
and i told them: let us have a plunge in the cool waters of the blue sea.
i do not have a puppy and i am tired of any philosophical discussion.

Puppy And I
I met a Man as I went walking:
We got talking,
Man and I.
'Where are you going to, Man?' I said
(I said to the Man as he went by).
'Down to the village, to get some bread.
Will you come with me?' 'No, not I.'
I met a horse as I went walking;
We got talking,
Horse and I.
'Where are you going to, Horse, today?'
(I said to the Horse as he went by).
'Down to the village to get some hay.
Will you come with me?' 'No, not I.'
I met a Woman as I went walking;
We got talking,
Woman and I.
'Where are you going to, Woman, so early?'
(I said to the Woman as she went by).
'Down to the village to get some barley.
Will you come with me?' 'No, not I.'
I met some Rabbits as I went walking;
We got talking,
Rabbits and I.
'Where are you going in your brown fur coats?'
(I said to the Rabbits as they went by).
'Down to the village to get some oats.
Will you come with us?' 'No, not I.'
I met a Puppy as I went walking;
We got talking,
Puppy and I.
'Where are you going this nice fine day?'
(I said to the Puppy as he went by).
'Up to the hills to roll and play.'
'I'll come with you, Puppy,' said I.

Be kind to Animals
Be kind to Animals
Passage was narrow
And a puppy was sleeping in it.
I was ready to kick out him from there.
Suddenly a small baby asked me not to do so
Because the puppy was in sweat dreams
So he must not be disturbed.
I am glad to see her love for an animal.
It is also a lesson for those
who are not kind to the animal world.

Paranoid Dogs
Once existed a cute puppy in street
Who used to jump, sing and dance with his fleet
But up there in sky someone was jealous
And people say his ways are mysterious
The puppy was crushed by a wheel of fate
And his soul fled grieving his friends and mates
Scene gruesome made puppy's mother insane
She barked, each passing vehicle is bane
Then dogs gathered in condolences meet
And growled that, vehicle owners are cheats
Now their groups chases moving cars and bikes
And terrorize human beings and his likes
But why punish humans who always cry
Instead howl at God, who enjoys from sky.

Inviolable Social Institution
it is this inviolable
social institution where
a kitten
has learned to sleep
with the puppy
without too much
strain
in their loneliness
they have learned to accept
that differences
do not matter
when love fails however
they invoke
the power of the law
eventually, one becomes
the lawbreaker
while the other one
enjoys the sweet fruits
of alimony
one becomes free
and shouts his newly acquired freedom
the other too
if you only know
does the same
in another place another party.

he looked kina sad.
i gave him a smile,
and he became glad.
he then reterned the smile
to a little boy.

the puppy was estatic
so he saved a man from the atic.
