Platonic love
That day you visited us with your wife.
This day I came to you with my husband.
In both occasions, unknown to our mates,
Our past love buried was resurrected.
Let us meet as often, with our spouses,
So that it will soften our anguishes.
Let us chat as often, with our spouses,
So that it will nourish our youthfulness.
Platonic love is harmless, people say.

God made lovers
For love to spark and desire to strike,
Antecedents aren’t warranted.
Mere visual contacts are enough.
The pair fits well, mates well and goes well.
For the contract of husband and wife,
Antecedents are taken to account.
Monotony sets in; cracks develop.
God made lovers and not husband and wife.

Pretty woman
Pretty woman.
But wife is beautiful.
Pretty woman is hot.
But wife is the sexiest.
Pretty woman is just for sex.
But a wife is to make love.
Wife is a forbidden fruit.
To you and all.
and wife is more caring.
Be at home and by her husband.
and wife is the husband diamond.
And the husband love making love to her.
That no other women can.
Make him feel so good.
and her husband always in love.
With her.
And wife is the husband success.
Loving and warm full happiness.
She bears our children. And
She is the most gifted darling.

Artemis and Aphrodite
Women of Victoria Era
Had more of Artemis, the Goddess of chastity
Than of Aphrodite, the Goddess of love and fertility.
Men of Victoria Era
Must, therefore, have been blessed in that
They were, unlike us, worriless
Of their spouses’ fidelity towards them.

Spouses often point out each other's deficiencies. Instead, we should be each other's motivator. My husband touches my spirit, and I try my best to motivate him, too.

Sexual energy does
Having loved many severally,
Man and woman marry and live happily.
Having divorced their spouses willingly,
Man and woman marry and live happily.
Having affairs with some concurrently,
Husband and wife enjoy their sex squarely.
It is possible for them to be so
For they abound in sexual energy.

Spouses that love each other say a thousand things without speaking.
Reciprocal Relationship
Wife and husband
reciprocate through love
as a centrifugal force
that settles only
to one another
Wife and husband
reciprocate through understanding
as a bonding conduit
to overrule electrifying
disagreements
Reciprocating wife and husband
make love and understanding
as best way of communication
that sustain the romance
and lasting relationship
When reciprocating collapses
between a husband and wife
romantic expression ceases
and the marital connection
becomes sour and arid
Reciprocating with each other
through love and understanding
builds up stronger foundation
as contented wife and husband
blessed with happy marriage

The loose knit couple
If one clause subordinated to the other,
It is a Complex Sentence
If both are independent, it is a Compound Sentence.
Both the spouses earning and standing,
The complexity of the married life is gone.

For the love of...
When I met her for the first time when I was young,
She was a cute little young woman, who cared,
She was a daughter in law of the house that could hold,
A dozen people of all ages, who were too bold,
An obedient wife, who prepared endless meals,
Called everyone with loving names and gestures,
I saw her growing old, frail and bed ridden,
Visited her many times to show the gratitude,
For showering the love of an aunty,
To her loving husband's nephews and nieces,
Where shall we find this kind of love,
Except in the hearts of all loving women,
Who love their husband's family as theirs.
Millions of women all around the world,
Who have worked hard tirelessly,
For the love that they have upon their husbands.

Power of love
I must love her more than she does,
The husband wants.
I must love him more than he does,
The wife wants.
This is power of love
I must hold her more than she does,
The husband intends.
I must hold him more than he does,
The wife intends.
This is love of power.
Power of love is breeze.
Love of power is storm

Valentine’s Day Poem: ‘This Is the Day When…’
This is the day when people most
Have fun and frolic with some ‘dost’;
This is the day when love from heart
Is showered on beloved with art!
This is the day when thoughts of love
Fills hearts embracing, from above;
This is the day when fondness comes
To young and old and dads and mums.
This is the day when lovers, friends
Kiss, hug, make love or make amends;
This is the day when one can show
One’s heart for one is full of love!
This is the day when people think
How dear some are and in love sink;
This is the day when memories
Of spouses wedded, in love seize.
This is the day when gaiety marks
The world as love-cards fly like larks;
This is the day when tasty foods
Are shared by partners in good moods!
This is the day when poems tell
The love in hearts superbly well;
This is the day when air is filled
With songs and words of love, heart-willed!
‘Happy Valentine’s Day to all! ’

At night husband
Wanted wife
For sex...
Wife will say

Mistake of Fact!
Crow! Crow!
Male crow! Female crow!
Love each other,
Wife and husband;
Wife crow lays eggs,
All are white!
Husband crow suspects
Loyalty and fidelity;
Ignorant husband,
Innocent wife,
Wife crow shows
other nests;
Trust assured
Sorry sorry,
Mistake of Fact, Forget it,
We love for ever!

If I don’t get my children degrees,
Foreign assignments and ranking spouses.
So I earn, silencing my conscience.

A Promise to Keep This Secret
A promise to keep this secret,
Is a hard job.
A promise to keep discreet,
Is just so hard.
A promise to keep this secret,
Is a hard job.
A promise to keep discreet,
Is just so hard.
Why would somebody have an elicit affair?
With a promise to keep this secret,
Is a hard job.
And do it while sneaking around,
In the clear open air?
A promise to keep discreet,
Is just so hard.
A friend can be a friend to another,
Until the end.
But a friend can not be trusted,
When a cheating begins.
A promise to keep this secret,
Is a hard job.
A promise to keep discreet,
Is just so hard.
And a friend can't be expected to defend a friend.
When that friend is also 'friend',
To those who swap and cheat on spouses...
Of,
Other friends!
Oh.
A promise to keep this secret,
Is a hard job.
A promise to keep discreet,
Is just so hard.
A promise to keep this secret,
Is a hard job.
A promise to keep discreet,
Is just so hard.
When those swapping spouses sneak from houses,
Living just next door???
Keeping this a secret is a hard job.
When those swapping spouses sneak from houses...
Living just next door???
Keeping this discreet is just too hard.
A promise to keep this secret,
Is a hard job.
A promise to keep discreet,
Is just so hard.
A promise to keep this secret,
Is a hard job.
A promise to keep discreet,
Is just so hard.

Facets of love
Love in sex is
a Fun in between lovers,
a Passion in the first-night,
a Custom in between spouses,
a Pass-Time with call-girls/boys
and a Lust with forbidden one.
It is Holy, if only for procreation.
Animals are holier thence.

Why? O Val
That your virtuous immortal celebration
Should be viciously celebrated by mortals?
That this day, revered for kindness, love and joy
Should be tainted with infidelity, deceit and sadness?
Why? O Valentine
Should men become philanderers overnight?
And infidel spouses?
Engage in unlawful rendezvous with concubines
In the pretext of “being rooted in the line of duty”
All in your name?
Why? O Valentine
Should lovers seize this day
To seek new love
To quench their lustful desires
With new found loves?
Leaving old loves “history”
All in your name?
Why? O Valentine
Should daughters of Eve use this day
To covet all bounties that can be acquired?
By tagging LOVE “for sale”
All in your name?
This day O Valentine
That should be filled with happiness,
Kindness unto strangers,
Joy unto the needy,
Budding love strengthened amore by lovers,
Vowed love toned up by spouses,
Doted love reassured by parents to children.
Yet the reverse seems to be.
All loose on morals,
Uncaring of the consequences.
“I love you” fills the air this day,
“It’s over, ” claims the morrow.
A love savoured in lust today,
Has broken a waiting heart somewhere.
O Valentine
Did you live your tenure this way on earth?
Surely your legend portrays not
These immorals that I see.
Adultery, Infidelity, Incest
Has usurped your reign.
A lover has grown a false tongue
And betrayed a faithful love.
A spouse, an infidel,
And broken a thriving home.
This day of humanity, love
Genuine love o Valentine,
Now polluted with these
To kill thine honour.
“Love is in the air” is always the slogan.
Yet if men were gods,
To see the vices,
That lay beneath this virtue.
Why? O Valentine
Should your feast
Spring forth melancholy
This day of merriment?
Why? O Valentine.

The old Couple is the dearest.
Love between spouses
Begins by their flesh,
Clings by their kids,
Slackens by monotony,
Hangs by necessity,
And eventually
Sticks by invalidity
Of their old age.
A marriage is hard to break.
