Mercy redeems
Fifteenth June, the fatal day, besets me tightly,
Day and night, off bed and on bed, through out,
Like the hanging date for the man, sentenced to death,
And puts me in anguish, in her leaving my ambit.
I cease to exit from the day of the order for her departure
As does the man from the day of his death sentence.
At times mercy is granted. The man’s back to life.
Should she show her grace, I, too, can be back to life.

Disingenuousness
Here lies another box for nature,
Carbon ready;
Black to eyes down here,
Where death is at its job.
Up there you’ll hear a rhythmic sob
Or two from living yet-to-dies –
A humming lacrimoso –
It all but cleans the eyes:
Forget it –
The dismal show of grief –
Life is only chemistry –
Our stay is only brief.
It’s we who hype it up!
Diaphragms jerk again;
The jet monotone of hearses
Feeds the disingenuousness
Of undertakers –
They seem to stare at something up ahead –
For them, it’s in the blood,
To taxi off the dead.

Life or Death
Death is a mystery,
and life is Suspense.
The journey to death,
is unknown yet,
and Life is a dream stage.
Nobody has come back
From their death,
And life seems to be,
Chasing an invisible end.
Escape from death,
is impossible,
and so from Life.
Death is most painful,
Life is even more.
Death is frightful,
And Life is a puzzle.
So is life,
or Death,
better for a human fate?

Death, Inevitable Death
Death, inevitable Death.
So now You come to show Your world,
Hence the blackened cloak – unfurled.
And peering down upon my form
– Bereft of pity – Your eyes of storm.
Death, inexorable Death.
‘When? ’ The only question out of Thee.
My dream retorts 'But ne’er for me! ’
But now awake, I bid you so –
My giving tears cry ‘Where to go? ’
Death, adamant Death.
You cast Your spell and guide me 'way,
For life and I have had our day.
And what of me? I prey You, tell!
Be glorious in Heaven or gnarled in Hell?
Death, ineluctable Death.
Oh wiry ghoul, I'm here to follow –
I leave my body grey and shallow.
‘Come! ’ You bid in thund’ring tones,
‘Beg farewell to shattered bones.’

The Death Penalty
Bring back the death penalty screamed a lady as the blood ran, dripping from the cold concrete as her sons blood fled from its body. Bring back, bring back the death penalty screamed a mother as her child dies slowly watching the pools of life fade away from his eyes.
Bring back, bring back the death penalty screamed a mother while she watched her child being killed by the hands of another man, bring back the death penalty.
Bring back the death penalty as she screamed holding her dying child while he laid his last words and breath upon her chest. Bring back the death penalty she screamed in mercy so that she will so that she will no longer have to hold any more of her dying sons and lay them in graves before she lays in her own.
Bring back the death penalty she screamed as her sons soul left his body and he became another victim to a violent society. Bring back the death penalty, bring back our sons.

Death - The Gift of Life
There’s nothing certain but death
Nor beyond nor before
We are born and live to die
Death the only gift of life
We fret; make noise, shout and cry
We skid from hills to valley and back
Get torn among home, work and friends
There’s nothing certain but death
Death the only gift of life
We fight, we scream, we spurn
We step on each others’ toe
All to achieve and amass
There’s nothing certain but death
Death the only gift of life
Walk we straight with pride
Look we people in the eye
Seldom do we stop and stoop
There’s nothing certain but death
Death the only gift of life
We make friends, yet sly
Break hearts and water eyes
Too proud to bend or mend
There’s nothing certain but death
Death the only gift of life
Each death promise another
Our last breath gives forth life
To another birth to die again
There’s nothing certain but death
Death the only gift of life
Never can we live past in life
In death we reach the very start
From grains we come, to grains we go
There’s nothing certain but death
Death the only gift of life

Death and I
When death comes
I’ll need not love –
Consumed,
No wreath or dove
Could offer me salvation,
Not when I’m no more.
A weathered stone will bear my name –
Identity of once a being
Living out existence in
A world of risk, and never seeing
Sense of why we’re here.
My genes will die away thro’ child –
Hue of eyes and hair, the way of thought,
Will quickly dim with generation –
Bow to future dominance –
Memories of provenance
Resigned to curious few.
When death comes
I’ll need not grace
Below; no grieving face
Will call my resurrection,
Not when I’m at ground –
Death and I so bound.

A Fresh Endeavour
So now I've taken leave of life,
I thought you'd like to know, I still
Possess a mind in love, oh wife;
A soulful eye to catch a show of
Silent beauty – ever yours;
An ear to pick the metaphors
Of tonal dance in words you say,
Grasp a thought in verse you pray
Inside your head, bemused of mind,
Softly mournful, intertwined with
Understanding tears.
I'll drift a whisper o'er to you
To tell that I am quietly calm;
Keeping time till your adieu
To flesh, upon the carol of a
Psalm of consummation. Now!
A fresh endeavour – we're forever
One together, resting yonder,
Cross our open plane of blue.

Death occurs, it does not exist
Death, as we all know
Marks the termination
Of a life process
It is the climax of a
Natural process
Where a life system takes birth
Grows, matures
And meets end
It only occurs
And has no existence as such
We fear death
As we know we are going to die one day
We fear most
The aftermath of our departure
Than what really is going to happen to us after death
Death takes not even a split of a second
To fructify
But we ponder over that
And its impact
Much much longer
We just need to know
That we cannot escape this ultimate end
And enjoy living as much as we can
In a fair and socially acceptable manner
Without troubling others around
Factually, living itself
Is indeed a preparation for death only
Because you are going to die the way you lived
A matured, well balanced living
Leads to a similar departure
A chasing, hurried living
Leads to a unplanned demise
Leaving behind others to chase and hurry
An ever complaining ways of living
Leads to a death
After which the near and dear ones
Have a lot to complain
A compassionate and considerate living
Leads to a death
Making others be the same with every one
Death is peaceful only
Health conditions may at times
Someone be hospitalised for long
And someone incapacitated
And some others becoming a real burden
All these have nothing to do with dying peacefully
As long the person to die
Remains in peace and comfort
No need to get reminded
That we die each time we breathe out
As we are not sure
Whether or not we are going to
Brathe in immediately after that
Let us live
Strengthening ourselves
With the understanding
That death does not exist
But, it is going to occur
Only once, somewhere, somehow, sometime

Night Close
Under night close
Death rose to greet me.
I turned; looked back,
Though nothing beckoned -
No one cried or mourned.
Scorned by all
- My fellow race -
I shed the byes to empty space, then
Gazed upon the stony face
Of Death anon, and
So chose our treaty.

I prefer death and departure
I prefer death and departure
I prefer death and departure
From this wonder world,
Which has been my school
All these years
Making me learn something new
Each second, minute, hour and day
To the torture
Of your not being near
Each second of your absence
Kills me but not squarely
Only to bring me back to life
And torturing
Your presence
Though I used to feel painful
At times
Because of your intervention
Through my unhealthy means
You always demonstrated
Love and care
Your efforts to meet my needs
Exceeded ever my expectations
And my requirements
Were more than met
You came to unearth
My fallacies one after another
With our association growing
While your list of occasions
Where I fell short of your hopes
Increasing day by day
My list of your potentials
Kept elongating with
My discovering newer strengths in you
This is a kind of relationship
Where one’s weakness
Makes the other stronger
Come soon and join me
Before death takes over

Life's Turn
How can death be near
Does it whisper still
All I hear is the lark singing
How can death be real
Safe within your light
How can death bring back the night
How can death here
Knocking at the door
He should know
I don’t live here anymore
Oh death be gone!
I’ve known you well
Tonight it’s life’s turn

Chorus of the Dead
And all returns to Thee, alone eternal,
And all Thee returning.
Oh Death, in Thy vast shadow,
Simple and bare we languish,
Not happy, but from the anguish
Of life at last set free. The night profoundly
Falls on the shaken spirit,
And dark in dark confuses;
The withered soul sourage and hope refuses;
Spent and uncaring,
Free now from sorrow and from fear for ever,
We lie here undespairing
Through void eternity.
We lived... And as a phantom from a dream of terror
Wanders into the day,
And draws across the speechless souls of children
A memory and a fear,
We, as we linger here,
Are haunted still by life: but fears of children
Haunt us not now. What were we?
What was that bitter point in time
That bore the name of life?
Mysterious, stupendous,
Lost in our thought that hidden country lies:
As in our day of life there lay
The secret land of death. And as from dying
Our living souls drew back, so now they draw
Back from the flame of life,
Simple and bare to languish,
Not happy, but not in anguish;
For happiness we know
Fate upon life or death will not bestow.

It's Death Again
It's Death again - He's always there -
Watching, waiting - e'er the stare!
Every time I look behind
Or reach to pull the window blind,
I catch a glimpse of grubby hood -
A little clue to where he stood;
The glint of light that caught the scythe.
Perhaps if I could pay a tithe…
But O! no use, he'll never go.
The adamant phantom; don't you know
He will but wait until it's time
For me to hear His fateful chime? -
The toll that claims my destiny,
To Hail: 'You're next, it has to be…'

Someday
Precious stone, Life goes on, You have abused and used me, Now I'm going home, I want my records back, To get my heart on track, You think I can't be alone, Well this woman's here to show you, oh, Someday, The lights will fall and you will know, If you do it slowly, You might just find it's worth it all, Precious stone, Life goes on, You feel used and abused, Now you're all alone, How dare you say, I will be back one day, You've taken me for granted, It's time for me to say, Someday he'll be there to hold you baby, There by the grace a sign, Someday he'll be there to dry your tears, I want my records back, To get my heart on track, You think I can't be alone, Well this woman's here to show you, oh, How dare you say, I will be back one day, You've taken me for granted, You need to find your way.

Death (A Eulogy To My Former Self)
It was a world where all I possessed were photographs to get me through the day-
A world of wonder awaited me beyond its walls, but God Begged me to stay;
In this world where life is never really encouraged or allowed,
Where the dreams you had made before this stay are disavowed-
You start to wither, and slowly move toward a certain death;
Then you do die, and as you take your last breath,
You are suspended in a purgatory of existence between
Earthly death and Empyreal life, like nothing most have ever seen!
Then an Angel appears, appareled in Celestial delight,
To show Herself before you, and envelop all your sight!
The Angel takes your hand and guides you back to life, anew-
Where before there was only anguish, She brings beauty to you-
Where before there was only death, in all its myriad forms,
Now there is only love, and all it delivers, to guide you through the storms!

A Need For Mercy
It was God’s Grace that I received, on that day when I believed.
Today it’s God’s Mercy that I need, and on this very day indeed.
I need God to intervene for me, so His hand of Grace I may see.
To see His hand in my life today, while working in a special way.
It was Grace that saved me first, when in sin, I was at my worst,
And for Mercy, did not receive, those eternal wages, due to me.
As it was totally of God’s Grace, when His Son died in my place,
When Christ forgave all my sin, and God The Father took me in.
Now He is at God’s Right Hand, where for us He takes a stand,
Where Christ intervenes for me, and all others who truly believe.
And so at times I seek His face, that I may receive God’s Grace,
That I may have Mercy from God, instead of His chastising Rod.
God’s Mercy is abundant friend, with Grace sufficient to the end.
When I face a day filled with strife, I need God’s Grace in my life.
But if Mercy to me does not come, I receive Grace from His Son,
And Christ’s Grace is sufficient to, guide me always fully through.
So today I’ll lean upon The Lord, whose Grace always will endure,
This through any trial in any pain, for my life He will surely sustain.
For it’s only by His Mercy I’ll be, in Heaven with Christ for Eternity.
And very soon by God’s Grace, above I will see my Savior’s face.

Our God is a God of mercy and of grace. (Gerald Albright's Kicking it up #6)
God, I just do not understand why
You treat me so good everyday.
In spite of all of my sins and all of my mistakes,
You are still good to me.
Yes, you are; my God really is.
My God is so wonderful.
He has provided for all of my needs.
He created the sun to shine brightly everyday.
God has supplied the very air that I breathe.
Yes, He does.
My God is so good to me each day.
He has provided for all of my needs.
God sends out the cooling invisible breeze.
He produced all of the food that I eat.
Yes he does; now help me say it.
Our God is a God of mercy.
He truly deserves all of our praise.
Our God is a God of mercy and of grace.
O’ Yes, I know that our God is.
Our God is a God of mercy.
He wakes us up every single day.
Our God is a God of mercy and of grace.
O’ Yes, I know that our God is.
My God is so wonderful.
He provides me with His grace each day.
All I need to do is confess my sins to Him,
He has promised to forgive every one.
Yes, He does.
All that God has ask me to do
Is give to Him all of my praise every day.
By the life that I have chosen to live
I must show the world that my God is.
Now open your mouth and help me praise Him.
Our God is a God of mercy and of grace.
All we need to do is ask
He will answer our every prayer.
Our God is a God of mercy and of grace
He hears all of our prayers.
He really listens to the words we say.
Our God is a God of mercy and of grace
He will always be right there
He guides every single step that we take.
Our God is a God of mercy and of grace
No matter, what we may go through
He has promised to show us the way.
I will always praise you, my God.
You have been good to me.
You saved my soul
You set me free from sin.
Our Father, hollowed be your most holy name
Our God is a God of mercy
O’ how much I love you
Our God is a God of mercy
You have saved my soul and set me free
Our God is a God of mercy and of grace.
O’ Yes, I know that He is.
Our God is a God of mercy and of grace.
All we need to do is ask

Our God is a God of mercy and of grace.
O’ Yes, I know that our God is.

The Song Of Despair
Somehow you are missing from my memory.
The night falls slowly, coming with tranquillity.
Deserted is our once happy home as you are gone,
my whole life has turned into stone.
You swallowed all our possessions, left an open door,
and only empty spaces on the wooden floor.
In your love I once was lost,
but your betrayal came at an extremely high cost.
You wanted me only for the body’s bliss
and went to a lover and that is the way that it is.
Too many times I had to draw curtains back,
in life and coming death change the ways that you did act.
Too many times as my wife
you were part of me, were too important in my life.
Now what was once ours fades to oblivion,
as life not ending just moves on and on.
This is the time of departure
when birds go to their nests in nature,
when to ashes wood in the fireplace burn,
when you left on a journey of no return.
Much too slowly this night moves on, once happy one.

I Am Sorry
I AM SORRY FOR EVER HURTING YOU
MY MISTAKE WAS TO NEVER UNDERSTAND YOU
NOW I FEEL SO SORRY
GUILTY I FEEL AND HAVE NO WORDS TO EXPLAIN
I DESERVE NOT LIFE BUT DEATH
FOR HURTING YOU SO MANY TIMES, I AM SO SORRY
JUST SIMPLY DEATH I DESERVE
I CANNOT BE CALLED GOOD
ALTHOUGH, NOW I AM TRYING TO BE VERY GOOD
IT IS NOT TO HAVE YOU BACK
SINCE, I CAN NEVER HAVE YOU BACK
ALL THAT I WANT TO SAY IS THAT YOU WERE GOOD
I WAS BAD, ALWAYS WAS VERY BAD
DESERVE I DO NOT TO BE ALIVE
ONLY MY DEATH CAN EVER FIX MY LIFE
A SLICE OF MY BLOOD WILL BRING ME CLOSER TO DEATH
NOT WRITING THIS TO IMPRESS YOU
ONLY TRYING TO REPENT THE MISTAKES I MADE
TRYING TO LEARN AS I REGRET IN FAILING TO LOVE YOU
MY MISTAKE WAS LETTING YOU GO
BUT COULD I STOP YOU
EVEN IF I WANTED?

Would u go back in time
Would you go back and relive painful times?
Would you go back when times weren't in line?
The hurt and pain of death?
The happy time when you first got your pet?
Would you go back when nothing went together,
Nothing rhymed, and nothing was forever?
Going back in time would unbury hurtful things.
Going back in time would show your success was once a dream.
Would you go back to say 'Good-bye'?
Would you go back to say 'Hi'?
Do you believe by going back things would be better?
Do you think you can go back and destroy hurtful letters?
The past should be left in the past and sometimes forgotten,
and the future may become even more shocking.
