A Sunday Prayer 04
Dear Lord as usual, my prayer is not for me.
You have answered so many of mine in my life.
You gave me the love of my wonderful wife,
and more friend than any man could wish for.
My prayer if for all those less fortunate than me.
Will you grant them the kind of happiness that you granted me?
Give them all the happiness to offset
any sadness that may have blighted their lives.
Touch them with your heavenly fingers
and ease all the ills that they feel.
I know this is a lot to ask for,
but as I am your servant,
I will help you in anyway that I can.
Just please help them who are suffering,
as their lives are in your hands.

Laura loves her little family,
And shes the kind of woman who loves them with her life.
But sometimes in the evening,
When the world rests on her shoulders
With four walls closing in,
Shell close her eyes.

Its not like she misses being younger,

To the Vet's Office
With people that don't even know.
My dear dog you have warm their hearts and minds.
With a sympathy card is sent at the loss of you.
You were the best I ever known.
You saved a boy's life.
And you saved mine.
I will never forget you.
No animal could ever replace.
A one of a kind.
Thank you all for the best wishes and hope you have sent.
I will stay strong against all odds.
As my dog only survived while I was by it's side.
Once left alone she went peacefully.
With regret I still wouldn't done anything different.

Shining, sparkling in the darkness night
You’re the light from above that so bright
A falling star that I’ve been waiting

And feel what my heart is been a desire
Falling star you like an angel

My Goal?
My goal?
To please God.
And do as He wishes.
That is my goal.
However...
I am sure God realizes,
My flesh is weak to temptation teases.
And even though I feel entrapped,
Within this 'maze' we call life...
I know some things I have done has pleased Him.
Since I have no problems at all,
With sleeping peacefully at night!
Unlike some others...
Who have self righteous appetites.
And even quoting scriptures and speaking in tongues...
They complain that nothing is right,
Or they can not see in their lives...
All the good for them God has done!
My goal?
To please God.
And do as He wishes.

Who saved Me?
I had a strong presentiment
I would meet with an accident.
If I drove home my usual way
and that my life would end this day.
A flash of foresight granted me?
or merely serendipity.
I do not know but I was sure
I had to take the long detour.
I saw the scene so vividly
A car crushed beneath a fallen tree.
I am not superstitious
but this warning was obvious.
I pulled into the first lay by.
I did not stop to wonder why
I was convinced that it was right
to take a different route that night.
I drove along the way I’d come
and took the scenic route back home.
My wife was in a worried state
when I arrived home safe but late.
She’s heard the news on the T.V.,
a car crushed by a fallen tree
About the time I should have been
driving near that fatal scene.
I had been granted a reprieve
by kindly fate we both believe.
That flash of foresight saved my life
and brought me safe home to my wife.
I can’t explain it, do not try
although sometimes I wonder why
I did not die beneath that tree
as I was meant to: Who saved me.
