Hording without using
On his way through the woods one winter night,
To warm himself through out night in the site,
He started colleting debris for burning,
More and more, unsure of wanted quantum,
Till he found himself at approaching dawn.
His toils became of no use to serve
And the debris was left and he left.
Some said that he failed to enjoy his fruits
That I contradict; he had his need served.
Don’t ridicule one who had unending ambitions.

Debris Road
She nails down moon beams
And talks in double time
Stumbling down to wherever she goes
I live in the meantime
And I get frustrated
So I put my wager on Debris Road
It keeps me running down Debris Road
I'm not scared but it's somewhere I cling to
All the places I (still) wanna go
They won't cast a shadow on my Debris Road
I get frustrated looking for moonbeams
They always fall where I never go
'Cause I like the daylight and I like a good life
Running so fast down Debris Road
(Repeat Chorus)
Someone got moonfaced and someone gets tearful
Talking so much that they really don't know
Sitting up all night singing songs 'till daylight
Striking a match with the devil below
(Repeat Chorus)

Debris
(ronnie lane)
I left you on the debris
At the sunday morning market
You were sorting through the odds and ends
You was looking for a bargin
I heard your footsteps at the front door
And that old familiar love song
Cause you knew youd find me waiting there
At the top of the stairs
I wouldnt of went back
Just to see how far it was
And you looked shocked to tell me
But I had to love her myself
Theres more trouble at the depot
With the general workers union
And they said theyll never change a thing
Well they wont fight and their not working
Oh you was my hero
Hell you are my good friend
(Ive been there and back)
And I know how far it is
But I left you on the debris
Now we both know you got no money
And I wonder what you would have done
Without me hanging around

Marigold: Gloria Swansong
(sylvester / clarke)
The book I bought yesterday
I started to read
I found a small marigold
Pressed between leaves
And in that small marigold,
Well, I found a note
Saying, please wont you write to me
cause Im so alone
So Im going to write back today
Yes, Im going to write right away
I started dear marigold,
Not knowing her name
I just had to write to you
cause I feel the same
You sound like the marigold
That I found today
The beauty was there to be found
But fading away
So Im writing to you today
Yes, Im writing to you right away
As I started writing,
Well what can I say
I got to thinking
Where are you today
Brown leather cover,
Ripped, tattered, and torn
Its been such a long, long time
Since the flower was born
Theres no need to write back today
Im not going write right away
Just like a swan she is gliding,
Drifting from here unto there
She has no thoughts of dying,
Winter does not mean despair
Warm summer nights left behind her,
Thinking of things that shes done
Once were her friends all around her,
But now she is only one
Swan, swan keep your feet off the ground
Keep flying around
Its lonely youve found
You were left on your own
You didnt do right
Not to take off and fly
When your friends left that night
Chorus
Someday I know youll see something
That will bring back the memories of gold
Youll meet the friends that did leave you
No more to be left in the cold
And just like a swan youll be gliding,
Drifting from here unto there
Youll have no thoughts of dying
cause winter did not mean despair

Left To Wilt And Languish
It will rain to replenish,
That which needs to be nourished.
It will flood to clear debris,
To rejuvenate an encouragement of growth...
That allows a renewal to begin once again,
To restore a drought of life left to wilt and languish.
And has begun to dull with dust to cover in lament.
It will rain to replenish,
That which needs to be nourished.
It will flood to clear debris,
To rejuvenate an encouragement of growth...
Anguishing.
And...
Left to wilt and languish.

My Greatest Love
I would swim across the ocean of burning coals
Hanging myself to the pole
Out casting and left freezing in the cold
Cracking my brain till numb and bold
Searching for the threshold
What you could have behold
Flashbacks of tranquilizing memories
Engraving our hearts with golden debris
Wouldn’t be much of worries
Feeding our queries
Our passion evaporates in lavish
Meddling and halting to cease
Don’t you think that we’re crazy?
Day by day the breeze of frenzy
Feeding us with the love of cozy
Night by night the music of melody
Enlightening our ears of dreamy
Enriching our linkage to a steamy
Ohhhhh…..... here and ahhhhh …..... there
Feel like nothing compares
My life for you to spare
That’s how I care
Our love is seductively raw and rare
Tragic end I couldn’t bear
My love you can’t tear

I've Done That
You wanted me to notice you,
And I've done that.
You wanted me to play your fool,
And I've done that.
You wanted me to ridicule.
And I've done that.
You wanted me to sit,
For nibbles and bits.
You wanted me to notice you,
And I've done that.
You wanted me to play your fool,
And I've done that.
You wanted me to ridicule.
And I've done that.
You wanted me to sit,
For nibbles and bits.
But I wont,
Beg from you at all.
And I wont,
Roll over or crawl.
And if I don't,
Play your favorite pet to fetch...
Know that I've left with no regrets,
And a respect...
You never gave me.
You wanted me to notice you,
And I've done that.
You wanted me to play your fool,
And I've done that.
You wanted me to ridicule.
And I've done that.
And when I leave,
You're gonna miss me.

Late at night
Late at night I hear the trees creek
in the woods and bats swooping down
in the valley, I watch slowly till it
comes to dawn every moment savouring
the beauty of the night turning slowly
drifting until dawn start and the birds
start there song whilst the night goes
to bed and the bats sweep into their warm homes.

Winter night and the three little men
Winter Night and The Three Little Men.
The Fire burns bright,
While the woods turn to night.
The cold creeps in with sudden quickness
and trees set in sudden ice.
It is, suffice to say, that this is a cold Winter night.
The fire that night kept warm the three little Men
and cast a light that stayed the predators of that cold winter night.
The cold crept and the Wolves howled but all tried in vain
for the fire kept the three little men safe,
but men are lazy and some call them crazy.
All the same because that winter night was to
be the last for the little three men.
The three little men eyes drooped and finely closed
but the poor men forgot to tend the fire.
The fire went out with a flicker then a splutter
and Winter night crept in;
There was one witness that cold Winter night, the Moon.
Try as she could her brightness could not save the poor
little three Men, that cold Winter night.

It Comes - Part 2
(It is suggested that the reader reads Part 1 first)
August 1979
Seven fishing boats set sail
into the evening on the South China Sea.
Before the midnight chimed
all seven boats vanished without trace,
no wreckage, debris or survivors were ever found,
it was if the fishing boats had sailed
into oblivion on a calm moonlit sea.
Countries around the world wondered
when the next tragedy would strike
as their navies and fishing fleets sailed the seas.
The seas at night were becoming
more dangerous than normal
especially south of the equator.
Top scientists and marine biologist
gathered for an urgent meeting in Mexico
to see if they could figure out
what was happening to the ships.
Their only clue was the last words
of the survivor of the Sulu Spray.
They discussed patterns to any of the disappearances,
only one seemed prevalent in that all
the ships disappeared at night.
No strange sightings were reported
in the areas during the days or nights
before or after the disappearances.
As the meeting went on into the night
the Grafton Bay reported a blue light
moving at speed beneath the water to local coast guard
before it too vanished
and like the rest left now wreckage, debris or survivors.
At the meeting, many theories were being forwarded
of a deep-sea creature of unknown origin.
They were scoffed at as being too fantastic to be true.
If they were true why hadn’t there been
any reported any sightings of such a creature.
The creature if it existed had to be
as big as or bigger than any ocean going tanker
to enable it to sink large ships.
Then there was the question of wreckage,
there has been none.
From any ship, there is always debris,
but there has been nothing.
Just as the meeting was about to close
news came in about another ship lost.
A ship two miles away reported seeing
what they described as long waving arms
and a blue light just prior the ships disappearance
from their radar screen.

New Delhi
New delhi at three a.m.
Just arrived by k.l.m.
Left the airport in the heat
In the bus strange people meet
Driving through the starless night
Passing very unusual sights
Left the bus at five to five
Caught a taxi started to drive
He thought I was a millionaire
And accordingly put up the fare
Dawn was breaking in the east
Causing this hot night to cease
Mosquitos buzzing in my ears
Grating sound of clashing gears
Burning rubber filled the air
Taxi driver began to swear
The heat was burning my head was turning
It was then the car broke down
Just on the outskirts of town
A camel from the dhrangadhra
Silently passed by our car
A vulture circled high above in the air
I had to shade my eyes to cover the glare
Sweating in the plastic seats
Hard to breathe in the increasing heat
Lying back my mind started to
Drift into an uneasy sleep
I dreamt I was in new delhi
Slowly dying of la grippe

Wedding Cake-A Song
Now that the night is approaching the midnight
I hear the pounding sounds on the window panes
Not able to sleep I look out the windows to see
if you are there somewhere
but you are already long gone
only the wedding cake I see
Wonder who left the wedding cake...?
O I am going away, oh my sad love...!
After this night's over,
I am going to someone I don't want
With tears in my eyes,
I am going to someone who is not you
After this night's over,
I am going to someone I don't love
Please let me see your face one more time
for the last time, love!
I hear the merciless dawn church bell tolls from afar
that don't know my heart aches
Wondering if you are there somewhere
I look out the windows
but you are already long gone no where to be found.
I keep shedding my tears looking at the left wedding cake
I keep shedding my tears looking at the left wedding cake

Fingers & Thumbs
Don't know what you've got 'til it's gone
A hint of the scent then it's gone
Look at the state of you, you're all fingers & thumbs
So who's your latest flame
Drivin' em wild in the fast lane
Won't say i told you so, but the boy has no shame
Once when my hands were full
We were double or quits then some
Nothin' at all to show for a love so precious
Gone & blown it all, how can you say
"it doesn't matter much to me?"
A dumb mistake too much to pay
A shattered heart in love's debris
Gone & blow it all & then you say
"this can't be happening to me"
A dumb mistake too much to pay
A shattered heart in love's debris
Don't know what you've got 'til it's gone
The thrill of the chase then it's gone
Only the hurt to prove that it ever went on
And life is a wonderful thing
When you're humming the words to a love song
Do what you wanna do be who you want to be
When i'm in your arms i'm strong
There's nowhere i'd rather be
We shine for liberty, life & the pursuit of pleasure
Gone & blown it all, how can you say
"it doesn't matter much to me?"
A dumb mistake too much to pay
A shattered heart in love's debris
Gone & blown it all & then you say
"this isn't happening to me"
A dumb mistake too much to pay
A shattered heart in love's debris
And how the days have flown too few & fast
They said it wasn't meant to last
A dumb mistake too much to pay
A shattered heart in love's debris

An orphaned boy by the road-side
i looked to my right
i looked to my left
i even tried looking behind...
what's it to look forward
when all directions
appear hazy...?
i sit outside your
corrugated iron bars
with an empty bottle and
heaps of debris in front
a broken toy i found somewhere
spilled colors in my small hand
can anyone tell me
where i belong to?

Tonight Is The Night
writing the burning away
finally I feel I can say things are okay
the darkness is gone once more
high on pedestal are the gods
looking down upon us with envy
for we can feel whats isn't internally real
so fragile eyes
so much love in disguise
a soul wound up so tight
tonight is the night
listen to me a as i speak
I'm writing the burning away
I'm sorry for the delay
i should have said so much so long ago
it too late but still it must be said
cause its all in my heart and
its time it takes the lead
its time to bury the greed
and humility just pure honesty
I loved you
even as you went left I went right
still things must be set right
tonight is the night
writing the burning away
i wish i could stay
but passion is igniting the desire
I look to you and admire
so strong is the temptation of going another constellation
god how much aggravation can come from instincts so right
tonight is the night
tonight is the night
ohhh the night baby the night
were making things alright
tonight is the night
writing the burning away
this is a risky game we play
but in the end I'm not afraid
I'm the knight so brave
I better behave for i know things can wait
slowly this road i shall take
the closer i get to the moons gate
the less I feel the hate
the hole is gone at the break of this dawn
a winter set so perfect
falling to the lust i just might
tonight is the night the night we make things alright

Deep Woods
When tender is the night, and the woods are deep
And the only light - as Orion's - piercing the dark,
Gazing a child in his sleep - child whomever he fears
He wishes he has gone, and left him to his sound sleep.
The river near is dark - not even dogs dare to bark -
And it's too far from any park - no wetness, no seep.
A child, who is left to a deathly sleep - still being mild
But the morn is far - too far to being left, way behind.
And Time! Oh Time! How dare you give a child
Endlessly sleep and those woods a languor that's oh so deep?
At dawn when life at woods again is dry,
And no reason is left to stay in the sky,
Orion takes care the child who now eternally sleeps,
The child sees someone - or something - dim:
A light - a palm that caresses him!

Fire By Night, Smoke By Day
It's fire by night and smoke by day
As we lay in our beds just thinking away
We wake in the morning to do what they say
It's fire by night and it's smoke by day
The sun starts to rise and the birds start to sing
We worry about what to do, what to wear and what to bring
We make a to-do list filled with everything
Just like the summer, the winter, the fall and the spring
Fire by night, smoke by day
There's nothing left to blow it away
Our day carries on as we're stuck to the clock
A slave to the ways of the tic and the toc
We carry a key but there isn't a lock
Trying to discover what is already lost
Fire by night, smoke by day
There's nothing left to blow it away
We wait for the water to wash it away
It's fire by night, smoke by day
Our thoughts start to wander as night settles in
Engaged in a fight we're not ready to win
As we wait for a new tomorrow to begin
The fire starts burning all over again
Fire by night, smoke by day
There's nothing left to blow it away
We wait for the water to wash it away
It's fire by night, smoke by day

Night after night
Night after night I look at the sky
And ask why you are not here.
Night after night I listen to the
Overwhelming sound of my heart
Night after night I look around and see
That you are not here
Night after night I sit here and feel
The emptiness
That you have left behind
Night after night I pray to the sky
That where ever you might be
You have found happiness.

Party
Did you enjoy the party you went to the other night?
No not really not really, no not really at all
I was bored stiff all night.
Did you find anyone you could talk to?
Anyone with a lot to say?
No not really no one, no not one not really
Just a boy who had a fixation on his body all the time.
He wanted to know if I..... he called 'making love'
I said "My dear pubescent adolescent socks
I gave up being shocking when you were getting spots
Pour me a lime and soda and I'll not tell a lie
But I've always been searching for something more sublime."
Did you enjoy did you enjoy at all? (repeat)
Then I met a Prima, Prima Donna Queen
Who wanted to have a sex change cos he thought it would be a scream
Decadence personified daddy's blood runs wild
Half the world is starving mother says, you're a spoilt hung-up child.
Then I met a guy who wanted to die
With a smack crack deathwish his T-shirt said 'Destroy'
I know I'm not this body and I'm just a fallen soul
But you have to serve some time before you get out on parole
Did you enjoy did you enjoy did you enjoy at all? (repeat)
The party's over the party's over
The party's over !!

Three Wives Of A Mandarin
Lawful wife.
There is still some wine left in the chalice,
And the plate that’s served is nests of the swallows.
Since the birth of time, the legal spouse
Is respected by her mandarin-husband.
Concubine
There is still some wine left in the chalice,
And the plate is served – duck: fat and heavy;
Should a mandarin be deprived of children -
Concubine is needed for a mandarin.
Maid
There is still some wine left in the chalice,
And the plate is served - preserves and marmalade.
Why the two of you are in his house?
Every night a new woman he desires.
Mandarin
There is no more wine left in the chalice,
And the plate that’s served is hot red pepper.
Silence! O you: bunch of silly blabbers,
Dare you laughing at the poor old mandarin.
