Freedom of joy

Freedom is joy.
Do you get it in abundance?
It is clipped by codes,
Tamed by customs,
Pruned by rules
And maimed by laws.
You are worse than potted plants.

Laws and customs may be creative of vice; and should be therefore perpetually under process of observation and correction: but laws and customs cannot be creative of virtue: they may encourage and help to preserve it; but they cannot originate it.

Land of the Free (c) 3-29-08

Land of the Free home of the brave
Land of disease home of the slave
Freedom of religion Freedom of speech
Freedom of press and freedom to breach
Freedom to steal freedom to take
Freedom to carry guns and Freedom to break
The laws of the man and the laws of the word
Freedom from peace but to still use the bird
The only home of brave and Land of the Free
The land who rules based off democracy
Freedom to starve and Freedom to be poor
Freedom to break and enter someone’s door
Freedom to lay off workers and close off jobs
Freedom to take what they want and to rob
Freedom of abortion Freedom of extortion
Freedom to own land and give everyone their portion
Freedom for action by any means necessary
But what their picture of that can really be scary
Freedom to wage war without our consent for our hours to be spent
Freedom to take our money then make us pay rent
Land of the prospering riches and of those who don’t care for the
People who live in the FREE old America

My First Sonnet

If I’m to write and form a little song
I’ll choose to use the English code and rules
I’ll learn the laws to lay my bricks along
The roads I build of codes with English tools

Now two will rhyme with four and one with three
I’ll split the rhyme between the stanza breaks
The last two lines will rhyme a final plea
With glee that creeps in hands of codes I make

Iambics boast control as they decide
The words to run as feet conduct the line
I’ll snare the code that hides along and strides
In quatrains forming claims of codes that shine

I’m here alas to weave and write my fun
I’m taught I’ve learned and now my sonnet’s done

The potted plant

Parents were there that I had no boy friends
Husband is there; I avoid men’s company
Children are grown that I stopped flirting.
I have thus grown without a scandal.

As a plant, well pruned and potted.

Political: Freedom Before Responsibility

I cry for Africa,
Afrique du Sud where
we won freedom before
accepting
accountability.

We abuse liberty,
infringe rights, make
the line between “yours”
and “mine” opaque and
ignore the notion of
reciprocal duty; we don’t
know what it means to do
unto others as we would have
them do unto us, except where
we give in token what we
expect to receive in kind

Europe plundered Africa under
God, left Christianity chained
in an era’s exploitation blessed
by autocracy; when tamed by
Renaissance Europe left Africa
behind - the next step was freedom;
but we never learnt how to respect
freedom’s household duties;

We tasted liberty’s heady glory
taking charge of ourselves with
no ethical wares except a God of
Vengeance, never learnt what mutual
obligation meant – never learnt why
it would become us; today we know:
We have a right to our own life

And why should we respect ALL life?
Our forebears never did. We have right
to freedom of thought, conscience and
religion – never were taught to respect
all differences as sacred and worthy;
just as our masters exploited, maimed
and killed us, so do we. The rainbow
nation is killing one another, rule is
survival, ANC won its struggle through
violence – now it seems violence rules
by right again in my beloved Africa…

The weak rule the themass

Moral codes, civil codes and gods
With a rod to whip with, are crafts
Designed by a cluster of the frail
To combat the mass, and rule them.

Law rules strongly
Where people live meekly

A Vision Of Folly

I saw one rushing madly in pursuit
Of Liberty. With frenzied steps he strode.
Old laws and customs with disdainful foot
He spurned beneath him in a mire of blood.
He stood before the wondering world a god,
A king with Freedom for his spouse and queen.
He felt his empire was divine and trod,
As on a footstool, on the necks of men.
Ruin awhile and havoc strewed his path.
He had his day of glory and his fall.
He stood once more upon his father's hearth,
Sated with pride, and there in frenzy worse
Wrought foul dishonour on that honoured hall,
And left its walls forever with a curse.

Woman at ease to shift

Women are potted plants,
With roots not under the ground.
They have no passion for the place
Where they have hailed from.

Men only fight and die for soils

Canditaes for Heaven

Practice the Laws of the Creator and be ready for the rules of heaven!
For the very Laws are always closer to you and,
You have to obey them to be part of the canditates for heaven! !
And be wise enough to overcome the rules of Satan on this earth.

Wrong Can Never Be A Right

While everyone has a right
Not everything can be done
For that will darken moral light
Of rules and laws there will be none.

While everyone can be free
Respect for others are always due
Freedom has a responsibility
We cannot do all we want, that's true.

Rapists and murderers can be free
It's their life to do what they want
The same thing with homosexuality -
It's against our laws, so you can't.

Whatever is wrong cannot be a 'right'
And the moral issue is this:
Of God's Law we must never ever lose sight
When He says it is wrong - it is.

Freedom Lies

Freedom, theres more to your life so now[? ]
Old laws, man has made only blind.
Oh, give us freedom, a call to the brave and the strong,
To stand in the face of all wrong and show the way.
Freedom lies, freedom lies, freedom lies.
Freedom to live out the dream in a song,
Give hope to the hearts of the young.
Oh, give us freedom to act out of love and not fear,
So all that is true will be clear.
Hear tomorrow, calling hold me, show me.
Freedom lies, freedom lies, freedom lies.
Freedom lies, freedom lies, freedom lies.

Fear Of The Next World

I don't have faith in gods and gods men
But have in their influence on their mass.
People are tamed more by the spiritual codes
From their sense of fear for the next world.

The gun rules

Stop, Stop
Please don't pull the trigger
You think I don't understand, you fool
The gun rules

You can claim my land
I will understand
You think I care about the money
Dive as you need into my honey

For I know
The gun rules
and heads must bow

The gun rules
Say yes, not no

The gun rules
Powerful than fistful blows

The gun rules
Nice and slow

The gun rules
Its handler glows

The gun rules
lay down, lie low

The gun rules
as red blood flows

You think I do not know the difference
between the gun, arrow and the bow
You sit like an angry king on your throne
ordering the rolling of heads and bones
This is the time of the gun
This is its timezone

Stop, Stop
Please don't pull the trigger
Lose not your cool, you fool

The guns rules
The perfect master of disguise
I have been to school and I am wise
A life in one piece
Is worth more
Than the risk of hit and miss
So all I ask of you is to let me go

Our Rules

We each live by our rules,
the ones engraved within us,
the rules we will never break
no matter what disasters
may fall upon us.
They are not the rules
others make in the way of laws,
but the ones we make for ourselves.
We never cheat on our friends
for to do so is to cheat ourselves.
Never rob those closest to our heart,
for to do so is something
ourselves can never forgive.
Simple rules we always stick by
as they bring the contentment
other see in our eyes.

The Inner Voice - Conscience

Laws on earth can be made, unmade;
Laws can be bettered or worsened by change;
Laws may be just or unjust and never perfect;
Laws can be changed for comfort and convenience.

Laws may change from time to time;
Laws cannot reflect truth always;
Laws depend on the constituent makers;
Laws can never be ideal for all times!

But the inner Voice -the Conscience is static;
It always speaks the truth irrevocably;
It is not transmutable anytime;
It can never lie ever even by chance.

The Inner Voice scores over laws always;
One's conscience always tells what is right;
Freedom of man's conscience is paramount;
Laws to stifle the Inner Voice are simply futile!

Laws are needed but must be just and fair;
Laws aren't needed to fetter the conscience;
Laws are man-made and transmutable;
Conscience is God-given, remaining the same in everyone!

Obey the laws when they are fair and just;
Heed to your Conscience, God's law-maker within!

Illogical?

there will always be rules
that is why
there will always be
violations

there will always be laws
and so the criminals
exist

there will always be corruption
because we make it so

destroy the laws
erase the rules
make corruption
a way of life

let anarchy rule
let us see
who wins this game

legalize corruption
do there will be no
crime

have a bidding
of the election
so there will be
no vote-buying

this may be illogical
but these are all real
