Folly in thinking

God knows what man thinks.
Man doesn’t know what God thinks.
Yet he expects Him
To carry out his wishes.

Don't let the opinions of the average man sway you. Dream, and he thinks you're crazy. Succeed, and he thinks you're lucky. Acquire wealth, and he thinks you're greedy. Pay no attention. He simply doesn't understand.

Why do you think?

Why do you think?
Other should think the way you think
Can you think the way they think?
Everybody thinks’
His way is the right way to think
Respect what people think
The way they think
You will find people
Respecting what and how you think
Everybody has the right to think
The way he thinks’ and what he thinks’
One can only tell what he thinks’
If they like it
They will approve what you think
No regrets, no hard feelings
Nobody loses, Nobody wins

Sex role

No man thinks he doesn’t deserve
The woman he desire.
No man thinks he has grown too old
To desire a woman.
No woman thinks she is inferior
To a man who pursues her.
No woman ill-feels of any man
Who is disposed towards her.

The Cool Cat

The cool cat,
is just standing there.
The cool cat,
doesn't even glare.
The cool cat,
thinks he's so hot.
The cool cat,
doesn't give a snot.
The cool cat,
doesn't listen in class.
The cool cat,
thinks his better than the rest.
The cool cat,
really has no friends.
The cool cat,
smokes after school.
The cool cat,
left his family.
The cool cat,
is a player.
The cool cat,
has no prayers.
The cool cat,
has no savers.
The cool cat,
is one tough dude.
But really....
The cool cat,
is one big fool.

Beauty of a person

Don’t look at the face
Don’t’ look at the color,
Cast or creed
Beauty of a person
Lies in his heart
And what he thinks
May not attract in looks
But have a golden heart
Full of warmth and compassion
A mind that thinks
Nice for everyone alike
Returns love with love
In hate he doesn’t believe
“I “and “me “ doesn’t exist
We and ours
Are on the top of the list

She Thinks Shes Edith Head

Back in high school I knew a girl
Not too simple and not too kind
We both grew up, but I heard shed changed
From a new wave fan to another kind
She thinks shes edith head
But you might know shes not
The accent in her speech
She didnt have growing up
She thinks shes edith head
Or helen girlie brown
Or some other cultural figure
We dont know a lot about
Its been years since I moved away
But at christmas I come home
And I saw her reflection
In the window of a store
She was talking to herself
Not too simple and not too kind
I walked on by, it was complicated
And it stuck in my mind
She thinks shes edith head
But you might know shes not
The accent in her speech
She didnt have growing up
The accent in her speech
She didnt have growing up
The accent in her speech
She didnt have growing up
She thinks shes edith head
She thinks shes edith head now
She thinks shes edith head
She thinks shes edith head now
She thinks shes edith head
She thinks shes edith head now
She thinks shes edith head
She thinks shes edith head now

She Thinks I Still Care

(words & music by s. duffy - d. l. lipscomb)
Oh just because I asked a friend about her
Just because I spoke her name somewhere
Just because I rang her number by mistake today
You know she thinks i, I still care
And just because I haunt the same old places
With a memory I will linger everywhere
Just because Im not the happy guy I used to be
Lord, you know, she thinks I still care
Well, if shes happy thinking I still need her
Yeh, let that silly notion bring her cheer
Oh how could she ever be so foolish
Tell me where did she get, lord such an idea
Yeh, oh lord
Just because I asked a friend about her
And you know, just because I spoke her name somewhere
Just because, lord I saw her and went to pieces
Lord, you know, she thinks i, lord, still care
You know, she thinks i, I still care
Lord, she thinks I still care
Oh no she thinks I still care

The hunger

the hunger thinks the rice
can chew both skin and bone
the hunger thinks it's nice
to eat although forlorn

the hunger thinks the corn
can swallow ears and eyes
deaf blind hunger born
self eaten within it dies

the hunger thinks the food
is just a body's unfair breath
the hunger knows the interlude
no food the body eats itself

the hunger thinks the body rotten
is just a place to survive and eat
the hunger of the lost and forgotten
makes its way to the last heart beat

Isolation Of Love

Because of isolation by secular prejudice,
I am living without you.
The dark, horrible power maybe thinks that
I must give up love.

Whom I must give up loving,
Whom you must give up loving,
The dark, horrible power maybe thinks that
We can't live without each other.

Your eyes, your smiles are deeply in my heart,
So deeply, deeply, they aren't able to be forgotten.
The dark, horrible power maybe thinks that
It doesn't exist true love in the world.

We make a living each other, live far from each other,
But our hearts are together with each other.
The dark, horrible power maybe thinks that
We are crazy already, it doesn't exist true love.

You Cry Baby And You Cry Alone

you are right. No one is ugly.
each one is as beautiful
as one thinks s/he is
to be

everyone has always
the possibility of being
beautiful if one thinks
that s/he is ugly

we are moved by our own
thoughts
how we conceive ourselves to be
how we carry our crowns
how we sway our arms
how we sit with dignity

the mirror speaks but we
need not listen
we must insist on who we are
from the bottom of
our hearts

remember what they always
tell you
you cry baby and you cry alone.

Lonely Days

lonely I stay
what a lonely days
I even feel like sleeping on hay
while I sit on clay

I call her everyday
she doesn't reply on the same day
even she doesn't even leave me with a say
on the sick bed which I lay

I sit all lonely
as I think slowly
since she is punishing me badly
although my love is not vanishing quickly

I think of her sadly
as I remember all I did for her willingly
I hope she appreciates it happily
although now to her I look silly

she thinks I should give her a way
since I sit on a bay
in the early month of may
but I cant afford to give her a way

for her I will have to pay
as I sit and pray
although she thinks am doing a play
whenever she is away

Lucifer in disguise?

He sits in his tower block
surrounded by workers
that admires him (or so he thinks.)

The being working day after day
in the white tower block
somewhere in Centurion

drags on a thick cigar
and blows blue clouds of smoke
that hang in the office

and plays a game
that tells
of his might and prosperity

and he expects that when he speaks
others must listen
attentive and in silence

as if he is almost equal
to the Lord God
and thinks that those working beneath him
swallows every word

and in the evening three or four
or maybe five
prostitutes are called by him
to get picked up by his limousine,

so he asked me
what is wrong with me
to be without a job

and expects me to explain
if it is liquor, women, being a thief,
or maybe murder.

Then I thought by myself why beings (like him)
not also are affirmed
and why that action

is still lacking with him
while the company’s goods
are very obviously disappearing into his pockets

and I keep myself
from sending him
to damnation,

or maybe to send an assassin,
bomb planting terrorist or two
as a answer to him,

but maybe after twelve in the evenings
he himself goes down to hell
to tell his subjects there
about his new misdeeds.

I pray to god daily

He always thinks
I am a bigger than the others
I can abuse more loudly
Play tricks
Cheat more than anybody
Living in hate
Always trying to prove
I am better than the others
I listen to nobody
I don’t care for any body
I pray to god daily
So that I can go to
Heaven
He forgets
Nothing is hidden
From the god above
He doesn’t like
They way he thinks
The way he acts
God keeps smiling
On his foolish ways
Waiting to send him
To place known as hell

Rope The Moon

(jess brown/jim denton)
I dont have a lot to show
For these years of hard work
If you look at what I own
Still shes always telling me
To hold on to my dreams
Even when my hope is gone
Some may say that dreamings just for fools
And there are times I thought that might be true
But she thinks I could rope the moon
In her eyes there is nothing I cant do
When I think its out of reach
Shes the reason I still try
She thinks I could rope the moon
When I look at the sky
But cant see through the clouds
She shows me the brightest stars
If I think of coming back
cause Im having my doubts
She tells me Ive come so far
Nothing in this world comes easily
But I cant lose with her right next to me
cause she thinks I could rope the moon
In her eyes there is nothing I cant do
When I think its out of reach
Shes the reason I still try
She thinks I could rope the moon
Oh she thinks I could rope the moon
