Curtain falls
Many words you spoke to me
The epithet, ‘a sahithyan’
Still rings in my head.
Many an appearance you granted
The one with my studs on your lobe
Still sticks to my retina.
Time and space might make me unwanted.
Fear of scandal might force you to wind up.
I learnt it from your tone today.
Curtain falls. Episode is over.
The retina will retain it.

Stories Made Up
Retirement requires careful planning, I shall have to
keep quiet all the time; fine, it shall force me to write
when ideas keep flowing in my head, today in class
we learnt that French Kings – Clovis and Louis the
Fourteenth - have been cut from the curriculum
making space for international events
Brains have no space for boring historical facts, might
as well abolish history as subject since history is stories
made-up to exert autocratic power over subjects; today
has been a total mess – no going with the flow, but no
problem – tomorrow is another day as Scarlet O’Hara
eloquently declared in Gone with the Wind
I learnt to look for political articles on BBC Afrique, seek
for jewels of wisdom amongst political intrigue - finding
none, I am so much wiser, no time is ever wasted, just
knowing what we detest helps us to know preference,
I am ready for Retirement, knowing that my title of
Bookworm, Poet and Spy
Confers a job description no form of retirement can take
away, always the incumbent to promote Astronomy,
Science Fiction, Quantum Physics, Fairytales
and Walt Disney

The question of how the eye works - that is, what happens when a photon of light first impinges on the retina - simply could not be answered at that time.

Fulfillment
By not wearing the studs, she sent him to abyss.
In her adhering now, she brought him to bliss.
That day, she gave him the manly status.
Thousand times he has seen that lotus.
That day the lotus was a different one.
With the studs given by him on her lobe.
When she wore his on her ears,
As though she bore him his child,
She appeared to him. He was thrilled.
Can she have it as sacred
As he holds her as sacred?

Scandal
Words and music by queen
Scandal - now youve left me all the worlds gonna know
Scandal - theyre gonna turn our lives into a freak show
Theyll see the heart ache, theyll see the love break
Theyll hear me pleading, well say for gods sake
Over and over and over again
Scandal - now youve left me theres no healing the wounds
Hey scandal - and all the world can make us out to be fools
Here come the bad news, open the flood gates
Theyll leave us bleeding, well say you cheapskates
Over and over and over again
So let them know when they start its just a private affair
Theyll have us hung in the air and tell me what do they care
Its only a life to be twisted and broken
Theyll see the heart ache, theyll see our love break - yeah
Theyll hear me pleading,Ill say for gods sake
Over and over and over and over again
Scandal scandal
Scandal
Scandal yes youre breaking my heart again
Scandal yes youre loving on out again
Today the headlines tomorrow hard times
And no-one ever really knows the truth from the lies
And in the end the story deeper must hide
Deeper and deeper and deeper inside
Scandal scandal
Scandal scandal

My Fear Takes Over My Depression
This depression causes me fear
causes the fear in life to come out
the fear or confusion and the fear of loss
I try hard not to think of fear and this depression
but somehow the depression lets the fear back into
my body and lets the fear take over the sadness
I would rather feel sadness, pain and anger than fear
the fear that I feel makes me feel weak and worthless
I try to love but the fear steps into place once again
I am afraid to love cause I fear hurt
it's gray all the time in my head
while I try to make it look like it is all sunshine and rainbows
on my face with the smile i put on for everyone
while on the inside I wanna cry!
cause the depression lets my past come back
the flashbacks of the unwanted
unwanted that I just want to go away
I try to work through the problems but I still cant get it all out
I wonder if I talk about every incident step by step detail by detail
and bassically relive it, if that will take it away!
but here is that fear again from the depression
the fear of talking and reliving the past! !
my depression causes me fear!

It is exceedingly improbable that the identical action of the corresponding parts of the two retina is the result of a certain habituation, or of the influence of the mind.

The Skill The Brain’s Lobe
The left lobe for logic,
And the right lobe for creativeness,
Stand in a cerebrum.
The left acts to arrive
While the right, to derive.
The left acts to renovate
While the right to innovate.
Which lobe is stronger
That lobe must be fed still more.

Her Fathers daughter
I lay beside my daddy as he spoke with softest tone
The words that I remembered well when i was far from home
He whispered soft and tenderly as we just cuddled tight
'Whenever you just need a friend in deepest darkest night, '
'Just close your eyes and lay your head and gently drift away
And take for granted I am there as promised, every day',
For Daddy's never far away, he never loses track
Of where his little girl may be, or when she's coming back
And as I gaze at tired eyes, the years have passed us by
That look of love's still burning there, enough to make me cry
But now he lays his tired head to rest a final time
I stroke his greying hair so soft as once he tended mine
I lay beside him one more time as we so often would
and whispered 'Dad I love you so' and 'yes I will be good...'
Though Angels now protect his soul and lift it to on high
I know we'll cuddle once again, my Daddy wouldn't lie.
And yes the tears replace the smiles in each and every way,
But I just know he'll still be there, ..as promised.. every day.

Hovering Sombrero
Hey hovering sombrero
Gently waving in the air above the meadow
Softly floating in the sky outside the window
Hovering sombrero dont be shy
Dont... dont be shy
Dont be... terrified
When you take yourself for granted
Feel rejected and unwanted
Know youre never just a hat
Youre never only just a hat, you know
Hovering sombrero
Hovering sombrero
Time is flying like an arrow
And the clock hands go so fast they make the wind blow
And it makes the pages of the calender go flying out the window one by one
Til a hundred years are on the front lawn
And the old familiar things are mostly all gone
But the old sombrero just keep hovering on
Hovering sombrero hover on
Dont be burdened by regrets
Or make your failures an obsession
Or become embittered or possessed
By ruined hopes remember
When you take yourself for granted
Feel rejected and unwanted
Know youre never just a hat
Youre never only just a hat, you know
Hovering sombrero
Hovering sombrero

Nothing Has Been Proved
(tennant / lowe)
Mandys in the papers cause she tried to go to spain
Shell soon be in the dock and in the papers once again
Vickis got her story about the mirror and the cane
It may be false, it may be true
But nothing has been proved
Stephens in his dressing-gown now, breakfasting alone
Too sick to eat, hes on his feet and to the telephone
The police inspector soothes him with his sympathetic tone
It may be false, it may be true
But nothing has been proved
In the house a resignation
Guilty faces, every one
Christines fallen out with lucky
Johnnys got a gun
Please please mes number one
(its a scandal! its a scandal! such a scandal!)
Now, stephens in the dock for spending money that was earned
By christine, and the prosecution says that money burned
A hole in stephens pocket, for expensive sins he yearned
It may be false, it may be true
But nothing has been proved
In the news the suicide note
In the court an empty space
Even mandys looking worried
Christines pale and drawn
Please please mes number one
(its a scandal! its a scandal! such a scandal!)
Last night he wrote these words to his friend:
Sorry about the mess
Im guilty til proved innocent
In the public eye and press
The funerals very quiet because all his friends have fled
They may be false, they may be true
Theyve all got better things to do
They may be false, they may be true
But nothing has been proved
Nothing
Nothing has been proved
Oh, nothing
Nothing
Oh, nothing
Nothing
Oh, nothing

A Place Where Demons Walk
hear cry of blood earth,
fires burning in places dark,
images burned into eye retina
homes lost burning fires,
raids plunder trophy wars,
burns through rage history
screams across agony ages,
slaves force taken fear enchained,
civilizations dying falling in repetition
ages review history humanity,
slave chained to evil brutality,
beats drumbeats inside victim skull
angels call chosen souls worthy home
earth is ever a place where demons roam

Electric Eye
Up here in space
I'm looking down on you.
My lasers trace
Everything you do.
You think you've private lives
Think nothing of the kind.
There is no true escape
I'm watching all the time.
I'm made of metal
My circuits gleam.
I am perpetual
I keep the country clean.
I'm elected electric spy
I protected electric eye.
Always in focus
You can't feel my stare.
I zoom into you
You don't know I'm there.
I take a pride in probing all your secret moves
My tearless retina takes pictures that can prove.
Electric eye, in the sky
Feel my stare, always there
There's nothing you can do about it.
Develop and expose
I feed upon your every thought
And so my power grows.
Protected. Detective. Electric eye.

After Years
Today, from a distance, I saw you
walking away, and without a sound
the glittering face of a glacier
slid into the sea. An ancient oak
fell in the Cumberlands, holding only
a handful of leaves, and an old woman
scattering corn to her chickens looked up
for an instant. At the other side
of the galaxy, a star thirty-five times
the size of our own sun exploded
and vanished, leaving a small green spot
on the astronomer's retina
as he stood on the great open dome
of my heart with no one to tell.

Cyclops
Cyclops woman got one eye in her head
Mascera-clotted vision she is fed
Cyclops woman cant see nothing at all
She got a pin prick spiral hole
She cant see nothing, nothing at all
She cant see nothing, nothing at all
Cyclops woman dying in her shell
Guilt got her trapped in nailed in well
Cyclops woman is the eye of the world
Whos reflections in the retina?
She cant see nothing, nothing at all
She cant see nothing, nothing at all
Dialate, dialate

After All This- Happiness
There is a drunk boy in my bed and he smells.
I want him to leave so I can wash the sheets,
clean up,
arrange things, erase this episode
in my single hood.
Scandal, scandal, scandal, boys boys boys:
woke up this morning, no love in the bed.
You and I should meet for lunch. You can give me
advice. I sometimes feel judged. But that is from my
friends who aren't getting any.
Right now I guess I am wrapped up in the excitedness of it all.
But it is getting lonely here because most of my friends are getting
married.
One day, after all of this I will be married and happy and all that
Love, Anita.

These Bends
I’m more than a little lost and found
But this town, it is dead
And there’s to many hypocrisies in my head
And it just wind, wind, unwinds me out
Just give me some time
Then give me a place, (somewhere new)
Bewildering concepts of time and space
They all just wind, unwind, wind out of me
A year and a day and three broken hearts are
Books lined up on the shelves of
Too many words I said
But I just wind, wind, unwind myself
Ghosts of a thousand memories
Have taken over this place just
Faces in dreams and corners
They help me wind, wind unwind myself out
Of this place and at this time
I need a new escape
When is my next escape?
Or release, from me, my mind, my fears, my dreams
So I don’t wind, wind, unwind, myself out of here

Those Once Outraged Are Amongst Those Crazed
The only time familiar faces become missed,
Is when words spoken thought ridiculous...
Were from them direct and sugar free.
To have outraged those to a frenzy.
And today?
Those once outraged are amongst those crazed.
Now...
Those very same honest and direct people,
Are remembered to be reminisced...
As those who spoke with words wished to hear again.
Since time has past to make what had been said 'then'...
More meaningful than ever to those comprehending.
Compared to the nonsense many accept today...
As a way to communicate their sanity,
From wherever it was purchased...
To label it as such!
The minds today are detached!
And to never come back from where they are.
