Biography To History
A man’s biography
Becomes a history
With insertions of lies
By men of interest.

You Don't Know Where Your Interest Lies
You don't know that you love me
You don't know, but I know that you do
You may think you're above me, yeah
What you think isn't always true
Don't try to debate me
You should know that I'm womanly wise
Still you're trying to manipulate me
You don't know where your interest lies
No, you don't know where your interest lies
You don't begin to comprehend
You're just a game that I like to play
You may think that my friend's all right
But I won't let friendship get in my way
No, I won't let friendship get in my way
Indications indicate
Running the same riff will turn you around
Obviously, you're going to blow it
But you don't know it
You don't know that you love me
You don't know, but I know that you do
You may think you're above me, yeah
What you think isn't always true
And you don't know where your interest lies
You don't know where your interest lies

Black History Month
In January...
There they are making history.
In February...
There they are making history.
In March...
There they are making history.
In April...
There they are making history.
In May...
There they are making history.
In June...
There they are making history.
In July...
There they are making history.
In August...
There they are making history.
In September...
There they are making history.
In October...
There they are making history.
In November...
There they are making history.
In December...
There they are making history.
But...
It's nice to know
The shortest month of the year
Was chosen to celebrate
The great deeds of African-Americans!
However...
It is those LEAP YEARS,
That really have the blacks jumping for joy!

Something special
Fictions are not biography.
Art is not photography.
Epics are not history.
They are not to be authentic
But with something special

Those who have no record of what their forebears have accomplished lose the inspiration which comes from the teaching of biography and history.

History is Bunkum
History is Bunkum
History is often written by the victor
A web of deceit woven by the writer
To glorify the deeds of his master
And decry the good deeds of the loser:
His name is vilified
His good deeds set aside
His just cause demonised
Only the winner is glorified
History is father and mother of lies
Fabrications the writer describes
Leaving us an account after his demise,
A legacy that hopefully fools and survives
The passage of time testifies to its credibility
Self-interest confers on it the seal of authenticity
It is then paraded as the voice of truth and sanity
But we all know it is mostly hot air and vanity.

I think that every so-called history book and film biography should be prefaced by the statement that what follows is the author's rendition of events and circumstances.

Lies give life
Lies not deductible: - History.
Lies acceptable: Prose.
Lies unbelievable: Epics.
Lies Unimaginable: Poetry.
They are dry without lies.

Of all the species of literary composition, perhaps biography is the most delightful. The attention concentrated on one individual gives a unity to the materials of which it is composed, which is wanting in general history.

Every man ought to be supposed a knave, and to have no other end, in all his actions, but private interest. By this interest we must govern him, and by means of it, make him cooperate to public good, notwithstanding his unsatiable avarice and ambition.

Pay You Back With Interest
(clarke / hicks / nash)
Too many people need me
Ive got so much, so much to do
But when my travelling is over
Ill pay you back with interest
Ill pay you back with interest
It seems unfair to leave you
And sell myself the way I do
But when my wandering is over
Ill pay you back with interest
Ill pay you back with interest
Most of my life Ive been moving
And when I tire out Ill come home to you
But until then Ill be waiting
Ill pay you back with interest
Ill pay you back with interest
How cold is my room, (how cold is my room)
Without your love beside me
We look at the same old moon (looking at the moon)
But youre not here beside me
Ill pay you back with interest
Ill pay you back with interest
Break
Too many people need me
Ive got so much, so much to do
But when my travelling is over
Ill pay you back with interest
Ill pay you back with interest

False is down loaded as true
History is necessarily false.
Biography is conveniently false.
Autobiography is selectively false.
Yet those are carried as true.
