Being mother is a boon.

To be a mother is a woman’s pride.
The child being a son, her pride doubles.
If the child goes unmanageable,
Her pride will grow triples; she would chuckle.

991. Give Me The Pride Of Being Your Child.

You bestow
Some people with pride of having best parents.
Some with pride of inheriting immense wealth.
Some with pride of being born in high caste.
Some with pride of possessing an extraordinary talent.
Some with pride of controlling a great mass.
.....

For me, You denied all these.
I too don’t regret.
In fact, I thank You
For not having added all these
To my already taxing ego.

But, don’t deny Your uplifting love.
Give me only one pride.
The pride of being Your child!

Broken child

I see the face of a broken child.
A child who has seen more than his young eyes should.
I see the face of a broken child.
A child who would run away from it all if he could.
I see the face of a broken child.
A child who has been ravished by the likes of you and I.
I see the face of a broken child.
A child with to much pride to cry.
I see the face off a broken child.
a child who fights off anyone who cares.
I see the face of a broken child.
A child who wishes his mother was there.
I see the face of a broken child.
A child who wont let his hardships keep him down.
I see the face of a broken child.
A child who refuses to give up and reveal a frown.

Lion's Pride

The Lion, He sits upon the mountain.
Watching over the pride, which is His joy.
Emotionless.
He shows no fear.
With Him, a calmness and peace.
He struts with confidence.
As he approaches the pride,
No one will challenge Him.
He is Alpha.
The true leader.
Both Trusting and trusted.
When confronted, it is not His pride He protects.
To protect His pride is foolish.
He knows He is Alpha
It is the pride,
The pride is for Him to sacrifice for.
The Lioness respects him
He is the head of the pride.
He loves Her and for the pride would lay down His life.
It is His cross to bear.
For it was the role, He was born to play.
As the Lion leads the pride,
A man should lead His pride & joy.
Whatever pride He protects,
Determines if He is Alpha.

My pride

It began when i was a little foetus
Striving for perfection even though
I'm not, the pride was sent
Down to me not by my parents
But my forefathers the royal
Barolong who fought for my
Survival but not my revelation
Of a pride so humble yet poised

This pride provides for me, speaks
For me and it obliviates those
Who underestimate it as it is
Possessed by me and me only
This pride is my pride and my
Pride is my culture

Mother the Superior

Parental love in man and woman varies.
He loves his child for his pride and future.
She loves her child for its safety and future.
The father loves the bright and the mother, the weak.
The child without mother is an orphan.

A Child Is Born

a child, a child, a child is born
to a mother who lies near death;
no food, no home, no place to go,
smell the stink of fear on her breath.

you build and destroy, and build again,
pound your chests with arrogant pride.
litigate and over populate,
sell your vision while children die.

if there's a God He doesnt live
in your temples and your shrines.
but in the cry of the hungry child,
and the ones you've left behind.

a child, a child, a child is born....

Chatting: Hacking Into My Pride

my pride
had been
and has

a bad rock.

a vertical polished
vertical
high
long enough

wall.

sometimes
my pride
turns
to be
a fragile

artifact

which I have to carry with me
and make
sure
none of us
falls off and brakes
down.

sometimes
my pride
shows up
like

life,

a flowers
-a woman perfect flower
erotic,
moisturized
with heavy rain or soft dew, and burned with a calming heat,

and has all the elements of a beautiful life.

My endeavor
is to get
rid
of it

or to put it
into sleep

like a pet
or
indulge it and spoil it
with rewards and magics so
it can sleep like a frustrated child.

so I can take care of my own
stuff and see things crystal clear.

or
I just want my independence from this burden
of pride.

Sonnet: The Man of Pride

O man of pride, do come down from your heights!
’Tis lonely sitting in a chair like that;
The dizziness could cause you sleepless nights;
Please condescend, come down to us to chat.

Pride kills a man before he truly dies;
Pride poisons minds in stealthily a style;
Pride generates in men just ‘pseudo-highs’,
And makes a man unfit to walk life’s mile.

Remember, all are human beings first;
Well treat others in humane ways, you can;
The heart of pride would like a dam-old, burst
The man with pride cannot be content, man!

Pride steals the energy to guide others,
And only serves to torment all brothers.

No, it will hurt his pride.
He loves it; can he snatch it?
No, it will split his pride.

He has a crush; can she grant him?
No, it’s an insult to her pride.
Educated and elevated,

Could be a cruel mother

My husband’s mother loved,
Cared and nursed my son,
More than she did her son,
Pouring her sweats and time.

Someone caring my son
Must be a source of pride
To me beside a relief.
Yet I felt most perturbed.

The child grew under her care;
The child found a good time
To be found near her
With its back towards me.

The lady must exit.
She did as I planned.
The child fell sick and felt
Bad about her absence.

I’ve been much relieved.
The child has much grieved.
I became much spirited
And the child, dispirited.

The welfare of the child
Was not my concern, ho!
My sole concern was that
It was under my spell.

Aren’t I a cruel mother?

Her Pride

Her pride nobody can take it away
She is proud of the way she has been raised
Her pride of who she is she has
She takes her pride when she puts herself together
She wants to look her best
Her pride she has for herself
I don't know if she has any pride for me
I wonder
She has a strong character and a strong will
This I know

My Boy

(words & music by claude francois - jean pierre bourtayre - bill martin - phil coulter)
Youre sleeping son, I know
But, really, this cant wait
I wanted to explain
Before it gets too late
For your mother and me
Love has finally died
This is no happy home
But God knows how Ive tried
Because youre all I have, my boy
You are my life, my pride, my joy
And if I stay, I stay because of you, my boy
I know its hard to understand
Why did we ever start?
Were more like strangers now
Each acting out a part
I have laughed, I have cried
I have lost every game
Taken all I can take
But Ill stay just the same
Because youre all I have, my boy
You are my life, my pride, my joy
And if I stay, I stay because of you, my boy
Sleep on, you havent heard a word
Perhaps its just as well
Why spoil your little dreams
Why put you through the hell
Life is no fairytale
As one day you will know
But now youre just a child
Ill stay her and watch you grow
Because youre all I have, my boy
You are my life, my pride, my joy
And if I stay, I stay because of you, my boy

Foolish Pride

There are times, we have what's called,
foolish pride and then there comes a time,
when we should cast it aside! Having too
much pride, can stand in your way and in
many a case, it just doesn't pay! You have
to know, when to say, enough, is enough,
why wait, until it's worse and the going, gets
rough? In some instances, it's okay to have
a little pride, be aware, when it gets out of
control, as too much of anything, can make
you, a lost soul! Don't let pride, stand in your
way, if you want to get someone's attention,
do it, in the proper manor and you won't have
any, intervention. So there you have it, you
know what too much pride, can do, try to
be cognizant, of what is, the best for you!

Six-Toed Tina

There was a young queen who knew a boy's love,
who ruled a great yard and led a small pride.
From her extra toes to her noble ears,
she was incongruent in scope and size.
Yet her purr was the world to one odd child,
for whom every word was a bur unfair.

Calico and beige, with a mange unfair,
she appeared unkept and bereft of love.
Even the boy, so different a child,
was led astray by his diffident pride,
and couldn't quite take her strange paws and size,
until loving rubs made him scratch her ears.

Satiny soft- those tall Bastet-like ears-
made her nightly hunts endeavors unfair,
for Tina teased out sounds tiny in size-
even large rodents in the throes of love-
and dragged them writhing to the grateful pride,
who devoured them whole in front of the child.

Then something died deep inside that strange child,
as a slate of new sounds pricked up his ears.
He sought sensation and elusive pride-
baring it all yet becoming unfair.
Cool was he, and insensitive to love,
paying no heed to it's presence or size.

Yes, women- not felines- zero in size-
became the prize for this once awkward child,
who delighted himself in faking love
'til news of Tina at last touched his ears,
and life was again an affair unfair,
ruled by the cruel and their f***ed up pride.

So clutching her image, he faced the pride,
dreaming of justice, caliber and size,
and what he'd do to those humans unfair-
but now he was grown and not a small child,
and his soul soon mellowed as did his ears.
He'd bury poor Tina and try to love.

Dark days unfair would again test his pride,
but knowing of love would limit their size,
and the child moved on with enlightened ears.

Too Much Pride

Say good morning this is your lucky day
Most of your problems theyre gonna slip away
Oh Im gonna help you, I can show you the way
So give me so time my friend and hear what I say
You got too much pride, too much pride
Drive yourself crazy, you got too much pride
Take a look at the downside anyway that you choose
Out here on the upside you aint got nothing to lose
Oh Im gonna help you, I can show you the way
So give me some time my friend and hear what I say
You got too much pride, too much pride
Drive yourself crazy, you got too much pride
Too much pride it will drive you wild
It will burn your soul, cut you deep inside
Drag you down, get in your way
So take a look my friend listen what I say
You got too much pride, too much pride
Drive yourself crazy, you got too much pride

Pride!

All I have left is my pride.
But a shield, yet a buoy.
Keeps me afloat against vice,
Against your spite that annoy.
My pride; a protective pride,
Affords me dignity's joy-
When you want to stomp my might,
When you want to stop my force.
It is my pride that clears my sight.
Thus leave me to my proud course.
Lest you feel my wrath ever fierce.
My pride, the only dignity I know.
Only wall between trodden tears;
The defender of weak, helpless souls,
Those looking upon the rich with fear.
Pride; the bold titanium shield of sorts.
Blocking the piercing stares and jeers.
Unseen strength that can't be stopped.
Can't be broken; is my pride here.

American Pride

(Throughout the singing of this song there is continuous
background of announcements about 9-11 incident by
goverment leaders and announcers)
American pride something you feel inside
Something you can't describe American pride.
Dad said, Son I'm proud you won
But the game is more than any toy
Mama said, Now Son say sir and say ma'am
And be proud you're southern born
You play when you're hurt and you work when you're tired
'Cause that was Grandpa's way
And the biscuits are better at Granny's house
And the gravy taste great all day.
American pride yes it is something you feel inside
Something you can't describe, something you cannot hide
American pride something you feel inside
Traditions run deep and wide with American pride.
When a baby is born we all celebrate
With tears of joy in family eyes
'Cause we all know the baby
Will grow up with American pride
Yeah. we work and we play and we have our own ways
And we don't all look alike
But if the cause is right we stand up and fight
To protect our American pride.
Sing it, sing it, sing it.
American pride yes it is something you feel inside
It's something you can't describe,
Yt's something you can't hide
American pride, something you feel inside
Traditions run deep and wide with American pride.
With American pride, it's American pride...
