VA hospital,
Tough situation,
Soldiers shot up
Veterans Administration.
What to do,
So many issues,
So many wounds,
So many tissues.
It cost a lot of cash,
To maintain a battle cry,
Just beyond MASH,
It's delay, deny and hope they die.
A hidden agenda
Awaits us all,
These were our finest,
Who heard the call.
If that's the reward
For the price they paid,
What do you suppose,
Will be our heath care delayed.

The Price
There's a price for everything.

The cost may be higher.

The need for this clinic is clear to me, to the veterans who are currently forced to travel hours to receive care, and even to the Veterans Administration that itself identified creation of a clinic in this part of our state as a priority to be completed by 2006.

Cloaked and Hidden Agenda
You think I can't see through your strategy?

When the last charge sounds
And the battle thunders o'er the plain,

Veterans of The Blues
They've got skills.
And they talk about this,
With prowess on the streets!
They have tackled ever situation...
In inebriated fashion!
As if descriptions of their gifts,
Explores an unshown motivation.
Induced with intoxicated wit...
Hoping to impress those,

The Puppeteer

What is it this time.

It puts the provider in a situation of looking for ways to have someone else pick up a piece of the cost. As a result, every customer who has insurance ends up paying a 'hidden premium.' It simply adds to the health care cost burden.

Forever young
I saw boys driving away to war
in a Ratel-90 armoured car
and they were well trained,
ready for action
and called up for military service
against their will.
Two smiled and a few
waved goodbye
and there was dirt
in my eyes,
when my armoured car
caught speed.
Enemy battle tanks were everywhere
and we fought right through the night
and with first light
an armoured car was stuck
in a mine field
and they were hoping for the best
but the worst was there
and shot out they paid the cost.
Although the enemy
paid a much higher price
and lost,
it’s like yesterday that they
waved goodbye
and sacrificed in vain
their lives for people
that does not honour them
and remain forever young.

THE HIGH COST OF LOVING
