Zahir
he steps out the door of the house
it is late and he walks wherever his feet carry him
he wants to be irresponsible about what to do with himself
he bathes himself with the light of the moon
sits under the tree on the grass
it is always this way
solitude and loafing of thoughts
he looks at the moon and once again stares at its craters
its round smiling face glistening in the middle of this darkness
all veins of rivers and cliffs and creeks
he loses himself in these thoughts
so faraway as distant as the stars are tiny
these excruciating details of his pain
he goes wherever these pains take him
he does not mind anymore
but soon all these will be over
he will be oblivious about what happens for the moment
he takes his hands and open them before him under the light of the moon
he sees the lines of his palm
he wakes up from the moonlight stupor
he traces now
where
for God's sake, where is the trail that now must lead him to joy

Lost without a moon
Where has this moon gone?
the moon that used to brighten up
the night sky,
And the moon that used to shine
Brighter than any star,
The moon that used to bring to me
This beautiful light,
For this moon used to lighten up
My heart,
Now that this moon is gone
I must rely on the stars
to bring me light,
This moon left me alone,
alone to suffer and think
empty thoughts,
And now i know that
I am lost,
Oh where has this moon gone?

Playing Golf at Midnight
Playing golf in the moonlight,
at midnight, at night, when light
cannot be trusted, when sight
deceives, it can’t be right.
He drives the sphere with the craters
like the moon, white like the moon,
orbiting like the moon; soon
it will collide with grass or sand, and
the black night will swallow the white
moon and the driving sphere
and no one will know where
went the white and where went the black
and why.
And after the ball has divorced its tee
and after the moon laughs
and retires behind the roofs
of the neighborhood houses,
the silence of the green
and the heartbreaking loveliness
of the green emerge and converge
and here in the suburban
wilderness, the only home he has,
he sees for the first time
how clouds absorb
and disperse
the light of the moon.

On the Face of the Moon
I feel your pain running deep,
By the light of the moon I see you weep,
Lost and lonely in a crowd,
You shout your thoughts out loud,
Is there nothing sacred on earth?
Is there no love without dirt?
Your heart is on the moon,
Craters filled with gloom,
To whom will you turn,
Loves ashes fill the urn,
Why, oh why, did I forget?
This is no time for regret,
I should have taken more time,
Your pain is greater than mine,
It's never too late, love can be great!
Love lost, need not be your fate!
Your heart is on the moon,
Craters filled with gloom,
To whom will you turn,
Loves ashes fill the urn,
They never meant to cause you pain,
Love lets them live their game,
We watch and learn about life,
There is no need for strife,
I'll wait for you on the face of the moon,
Stars shining bright, lift the gloom,
Your heart in the clouds,
Far from the crowds,
Eyes bright as stars,
Life might be better on Mars?

If I was in the Moon - Pinewood Royal
From an idea by Sophie Mitchell-Dwelly
Before the coming of the night
I see the moon rise all dressed in white
In the crepuscular light
I see the stars come out so bright
As I watch the stars appear
Like diamonds on a velvet blanket
And when the sky is clear
I'm so glad that I am here with you
Oh The Moon she looks so pale
Do you think she's happy in her misty veil?
Oh her light is everywhere
On a beach of pebbles we're standing there
If I was in the moon
I wouldn't want to leave too soon
If I was in the moon
I might just stay for ever
Oh Dancing in the moonlight
Our feet feel so light
Dancing in the moonlight
Oh the stars are so bright
Owls calling through the trees
And the frogs are chirping in the evening breeze
The crickets play their tune
By the light of the magical moon
If I was in the moon
I wouldn't want to leave too soon
If I was in the moon
I might just stay for ever

Here Comes The Moon
Everybodys talking up a storm
Act like they dont notice it
But here it is and here it comes . . .
Here comes the moon, the moon, the moon, the moon, the moon.
Impulse always quickens when its full
As it turns my head around me
Yes it does and here it comes
Here comes the moon, the moon, the moon, the moon, the moon.
Gods gift I see thats moving up there into the night . . .
Though dark the mirror in the sky reflects us our light:
Looks like a little brother to the sun
Or mother to the stars at night
And here it is and here it comes
Here comes the moon, the moon, the moon, the moon, the moon.
Breath is always taken when its new
Enhance upon the clouds around it
Yes it is and here it comes
Here comes the moon, the moon, the moon.

Stonegarden
And the dreamer sets his sails...
Avoiding all cliffs and stones
But the dreamer is never alone
Always trying to catch the moon
Sailing on the winds of desolation
Horizon's my destination
Through tears I see that
the moon slowly sets
And another attempt has failed...
The waves of the sea drawn to the moon
Like lovers they meet
Carry the light to a distant unknown
Catch it if you can
Always will there be the stars
Always will there be the moon
Always will there be the rocks
Will I always be alone?

My Hands
my hands have ten rivers
there are furrows of sorrows in the destiny of my palms
no mountain peaks to view the world
holistically,
my hands have ten crystal clear ponds
my hands mirror my face
my hands surrender
my hands open
they are all yours too and you are so cruel
you are telling me like you detest me in the residence of your full moon
you do not need rivers, you had enough of my surrender, you are ashamed
of open hands, you touch me and then you make a plea
'please close your hands and with your ten rivers, please sail away from me! '
i know what a full moon is. I too had enough of its light and silence.
i have the nerves of the stars, and i know what sailing away means.
let me thank you for your dark skies, your clouds are too heavy for me.
i am raining tears, too salty for my ten rivers.

Moon give me fear
Moon light my way
Moon after day
Moon give me strength
Moon has no length
What I want to say,
Is Moon after day
Moon is full
Moon is dull

Moon after day
Moon is my life
Moon gave me a knife
Moon slit my wrist
Moon a wonderful bliss
What I want to say
Moon after day!

The Moon Sits
The moon sits lonely
in the darkness
searching moodily for
the leader path;
that shall be comfort
to our very lost souls
where the light of a tunnel will bring us to an opening
no one knows where she is going...
The sun taking a bath; sea gulls screech like
the lost soul
of a girl
loosing control fast of her surrondings
yet the guiding moonlight finds her back...
with an
opening of a window,
where the wisdom
stands when the sun calculates her Maths...
...and the moon shouts answers NOT obediently
yet a despair comes over like a mist
never be hopeless!
Oh my moon is that your wrath;
oh my moon is that your wrath.
Don't despair in silence
there is a guiding light
in the middle.
Oh my moon is that your wrath?
Hide your wrath -
show your light!

Tribute to the Moon
Moon in your glorious moment
What a nice bright moon tonight,
With the big and round moon torching light on me
Crescent, Half-Moon, Full moon, Blue Moon
Make no difference as thee always the same
The dull night blush as usual
The lunar light streams as usual
Enlighten all the mankind with your light
Steer them away from the greed
Steer them away from the lust
It seem so long ago.
When i am tiny, repeatedly amazed by your splendor
Moon... Moon...
Listen to my plea..
Come to me..
Wash away all my worries.
Wash away all my sadness,
For thee only release me from all the stress
For thee only bring peacefulness to my life.
Absorb me in your luminescence
Light my life with thee.

Light And Darkness
Light and Darkness...
Light and Darkness...
the light in my eyes
and the darkness in my grain
the outwardly glow
hiding the inner pain
behind this mask of gold
a deeper meaning smoulders
from my mind’s eye I’m
constantly removing boulders
the blood in my veins
celebrating a damning season
time and time again
obeying the voice of treason
Light and Darkness...
in me a perpetual parody...
Light always loses and
Darkness bathes in victory

Nocturne
The earth, still heavy and warm with afternoon,
Dazed by the moon:
The earth, tormented with the moon’s light,
Wandering in the night:
La, La, The moon is a lovely thing to see—
The moon is an agony.
Full moon, moon rise, the old old pain
Of brightness in dilated eyes,
The ache of still
Elbows leaning on the narrow sill,
Of motionless cold hands upon the wet
Marble of the parapet,
Of open eyelids of a child behind
The crooked glimmer of the windown blind,
Of sliding faint remindful squares
Across the lamplight on the rocking-chairs:
Why do we stand so late
Stiff fingers on the moonlit gate?
Why do we stand
To watch so long the fall of moonlight on the sand?
What is it we cannot recall?
Tormented by the moon’s light
The earth turns maundering through the night.

The Little Girl and The Moon
once upon a time there was a little girl.
she liked to sit outside at night and talk to the moon.
everynight she kept the moon company.
one night she noticed the moon seemed tired, so
she climbed upon the roof, to tell the moon a secret.
the old moon smiled, so she reaches up
takes the moon in her hands and puts him in her pocket.
then she climbs down and goes into her house, up the stairs
to her room.there she takes the moon out and lets lay on
her bed.for hours they talked, told secrets and giggled.
then they heard people asking where the moon was.
outside was so dark, they couldnt find their ways.
the old moon says to the little girl
'maybe you should put me back into the sky,
so the people can find their way home at night'.
the little girl agreed.so she picks up the moon,
puts him back into her pocket.
she walks downstairs and goes outside.
it was very dark, but she wasnt afraid,
she had her friend the moon to help
show her the way.
she climbs back upon the roof, takes the moon out
of her pocket. holding him with both hands
she tells the moon'i love you,
we will still talk every night, but you must go back
give people light at nightime'.
she leans over kisses the moon goodnight.
then reaches back and tosses the moon
hard as she could back into the
nightime sky.
then the little girl and the moon hear, all the people
shouting and laughing.
after everything quietened down
the stars who were so happy the moon returned
all gave the moon kisses.
the little girl climbed down
with the moon lighting her way
went inside up to her room
took 1 last peek out
blowing the moon a big kiss goodnight.

Heart's Embrace
for ever shall this curse me?
this fire with it's amazing warmth and beauty
for ever shall i see you in the sky
ur shinning light of care, a lie?
for you will chose the moon, to let your soul fly
she is beautiful how ever am i to deny
im just the water, within the earths embrace
im a silvery thing attached to the moon with a thin lace
for ever shall i see the face
the shinning light above this place
you will choose the moon, to let your hearts combined
in not in the air or the sky, i can see you sun; i am not blind
my moon my moon hear me do you mind?
i am here and you are there; and your smiling so kind.
i am just a moving mirror, reflecting your light
within my beloved earths embrace day and night
could you forgive me my moon for my fright?
could you forgive me my earth for my delight?
could you love me the same my moon?
could you still smile down on me, if you knew my heart's boon?
could you hold me the same my earth, in your embrace if i sang a new tune?
coul you still fill me with light my sun, and sing attune?
for i should not ask for such things
i should answer all of the with great greetings
my moon, my dearest light of silver lace, you should not know of my ravings
my earth my dearest earth with your loving embrace, you shouldnt know of my quislings.
this should haunt me no more
its been open my moon, your magic door
so in twilight that is yet to come, you my moon and my sun may adore
and ill be here your mirror in my earth embrace, hiding my watery hearts face forever more

That Is You
High tide...that is the effect of a round moon up in the air
Such a befitting term that never fails to amaze people
Like the heart, when close to its round moon, its beat fastens
and causes catostrophic things.
Afterwards, the round moon becomes far again
And loses its half or perhas becomes a crescent moon.
All is lost with the going of the moonlight
And its powerful gravitation on the sea that is you.

Moon!
I only fly to carve a scar,
to mark your name on moon's surface,
this pain herein my heart so marred,
comes from a love I can't retrace
oh fleeting thought, your face within,
casts me in awe of foul dismay,
a lost puzzle in burgundy,
false reality in portray
the distant moon which seems to cry
in our precious 'valse de la lune',
when only for you so stain I,
the tender countenance of the moon
as these heavy wings soar sn high,
shape the moon face into yours
as sharp as blades that these wings are,
tainting the sky with my remorse
your only face I save in mind,
yet hold me in cold and decay,
you leave your trace along with stars,
behind the eclipstical play
from then on I begin to hate,
the way the moon shines more than you,
from then on I dream to impale,
the light the moon cast upon you

Song About The Moon
If you want to write a song about the moon
Walk along the craters of the afternoon
When the shadows are deep
And the light is alien
And gravity leaps like a knife off the pavement
And you want to write a song about the moon
You want to write a spiritual tune
Then nah nah nah
Presto
Song about about the moon
If you want to write a song about the heart
Think about the moon before you start
Because the heart will howl
Like a dog in the moonlight
And the heart can explode
Like a pistol on a june night
So if you want to write a song about the heart
And its ever-longing for a counterpart
Write a song about the moon
The laughing boy
He laughed so hard
He fell down from his place
The laughing girl
She laughed so hard
The tears rolled down her face
Hey songwriter
If you want to write a song about
A face
Think about a photograph
That you really cant remember
But you cant erase
Wash your hands in dreams and lightning
Cut off your hair
And whatever is frightening
If you want to write a song
About a face
If you want to write a song about
The human race
Write a song about the moon
If you want to write a song about the moon
You want to write a spiritual tune
Then do it
Write a song about the moon

Another from my youth
a curtain across the sky
chases the stars away
the moon's light shines beyond it
seems the moon always finds a way
but not anymore for this girl
though years ago it set me free
winter nights in the moon light
a warm kiss from my love
as the wind played our song in the trees
it used to give me hope
when I thought you might be looking too
I used to think of ways
ways I could be with you
but now I've reached the end
a locked door with no key
now that you're gone forever
even the moon can't set me free

Universe
Often I have wondered,
Watching the full moon rise over the mountains
At dusk- if some day I could
Travel along its pathway as it
Revolves about the earth, and perhaps even find myself
Riding bareback on a comet- and landing,
To build a home there on the moon-
I know I could never plant a tree there,
That there are no rivers there
To walk along, or no highways to drive upon
That would lead me to that eternal paradise of my fantasies-
Wherever it may be?
If I could find myself alone,
Standing upon a magical mountain above
One of the moon’s phenomenal craters-
In my solitude I could let my imagination
Carry me to other places in the universe
Towards where I could escape the
Wars, famine and destitution of the earth-
Towards Venus I would fly if I could, or
Towards Mars while becoming a nightingale in my wildest dream-
The rings of Saturn I have always found intriguing and
Almost striking in their splendor-
Inside the fortress of my wildest dreams I know that
The sun has given us light here for countless centuries,
And most likely- shall be present countless more-
And as magnificent and mystifying as the planets are-
They are beyond my reach- except within my fondest reverie-
In a dream, no matter day or night- however, I can
Let my phantasmal spirit carry me light years away,
Happy to be soaring across the universe through that sky of
Cerulean blue- without my dreams, I would have no destination,
Often I have wondered – as I look upwards towards the stars
In the midnight sky- if it truly matters how far away they are- as
They were born and created eons past to add some splendor and enchantment
To the billions of people here on this planet earth - as well as
The thrill and sorcery of wondering what we do not know-
