Whatever Was Spoken Was Already Spoken
whatever was spoken was already spoken
and in my state today, the words are no longer
retrievable, the car hears them through its mirror ears
and i know it understands every word.
it is silent and then it speeds away ashamed of its beginnings.

No poet will ever take the written word as a substitute for the spoken word; he knows that it is on the spoken word, and the spoken word only, that his art is founded.

Soshana
i have spoken my lines
that is what i am told to do
and you have spoken your lines too
and that is what they are telling you to do
you cannot be my comfort
distance are not arms and distance is cold like ice
your words are mere words like faces without names
i have spoken and you have spoken
now i am going back to sleep
it is done.

Words
So many words are there in our speech,
they can be very poor, they can be rich.
No one can be indifferent to their meaning
as they are alive and express your feeling.
Spoken word is not just a sound,
it can’t be found on the ground,
it’s always in your head, sometimes in your soul.
When it is spoken it becomes a parole.
A word is an energy of your spirit,
it was presented to you by God, it’s His merit.
A word is a tool of communication,
A word is a source of information.
“A word spoken is past recalling”.
Strolling all around it can’t be found,
returned back and kept in your sack.
“The pen is mightier than the sword”,
that was told about a written word.
Words, words, words………………
They are love and seduction,
each one with a certain function.
They are wonders of sin
and songs of education.
They are salvation, temptation, affectation…
They can be an executioner,
they can be the owner of a whiner.
A word can be a treatment,
It helps when you are ill.
A kind word is better than a pill.
But…there are words that just kill.
They sound like a horrible drill.
Words, words, words…………
They are triumph and defeat,
They can be pleasant and sweet.
At the end of my message
I would like everyone to acknowledge:
Each word has a strength
and it doesn’t depend on its length.
So, think before saying a word,
as it is quite well heard even by walls,
it touches someone’s soul,
it shouldn’t be a wicked foul.
“Better the foot to slip than the tongue”.
And… there is no exception for the young.

Love Is A Little Word
Love is a little word,
but it fills the world with happiness
when it is spoken from the heart.
It coveys a feeling of joy
of being close to someone.
Sometimes it is not spoken
in audible words,
but in gestures between two
who have so much feelings for one another.
It is never about
how small the word,
but the feelings it conveys.

The Last Farewell
(words & music by roger whittaker - r.a. webster)
Theres a ship lies rigged and ready in the harbor
Tomorrow for old england she sails
Far away from your land of endless sunshine
To my land full of rainy skies and gales
And I shall be aboard that ship tomorrow
Though my heart is full of tears at this farewell
For you are beautiful, I have loved you dearly
More dearly than the spoken word can tell
For you are beautiful, I have loved you dearly
More dearly than the spoken word can tell
Ive heard theres a wicked war a-blazing
And the taste of war I know so very well
Even now I see the foreign flag a-raising
Their guns on fire as we sail into hell
I have no fear of death, it brings no sorrow
But how bitter will be this last farewell
For you are beautiful, I have loved you dearly
More dearly than the spoken word can tell
For you are beautiful, I have loved you dearly
More dearly than the spoken word can tell
Though death and darkness gather all about me
My ship be torn apart upon the seas
I shall smell again the fragrance of these islands
And the heaving waves that brought me once to thee
And should I return home safe again to england
I shall watch the english mist roll through the dale
For you are beautiful, I have loved you dearly
More dearly than the spoken word can tell
For you are beautiful, I have loved you dearly
More dearly than the spoken word can tell

The Metaphor Of The Mirror And The Light
there is this face
in the mirror and it is talking to the body
to remind its skin
that it is real,
lights are turned off
and the face only hears a voice
from its mouth
it is assured still that it is a face
of someone it knew
so well
and will not deny it
the voice faded in darkness
and the face
hears nothing
and sees nothing about
its skin
and eyes
it is dark
and there is no voice anymore
except the
silence
and the loneliness that is about
to make a scream
to the mirror
that had long shut itself
because there is no light
the face demands a voice
the mirror begs for light
for the voice is a security
that life exists
and the light is the only
anchor of the mirror
when it becomes a boat
in the sea
of emptiness
but there is no light
and there is no voice
the mirror breaks the silence
the face becomes the wind
there is no boat
much less an anchor
there is only a word written
on paper
left on the floor
and it is spoken for no
one....

Words spoken
Words are spoken from the depth of the soul
Sometimes these words can be so cold
Like rotten cheese turning to mold
They come from a soul that we have sold
Sometimes we sound really bold
When kind words are never told
With nothing good to say
To make someone`s day
All we do is speak words that scold
So much so our soul grows old
Speaking from emotions uncontrolled
Breaking someone`s heart
That was once made of gold
So as we grow old
May you be foretold
Don`t leave a kind word untold
For a word is spoken from the depth of our soul

Delete Every Line
His poor heart is broken
a soul in distress,
sad words ever spoken
there's no happiness.
He is lonely, so lonely
and pines for her only
for her tender caress.
She hears his voice calling
at the end of the day
teardrops keep falling
her world in disarray.
She is lonely, so lonely
and yearns for him only
but she's travelling his way.
Two hearts were broken
but the sun soon will shine
unkind words that were spoken
'delet every line'.

In Patient Heat For the Making
When love from these lips have spoken to ears heard,
It is not there for a temporary visit...
For purposes to witness a stirring that occurs!
And when it is whispered,
There is a roaring thunder of it...
Kept in waiting to project.
But I desire it to be felt,
With a passion one accepts.
Knowing what is in my heart,
Leaves one anticipating...
To share the depth of it next.
So much of it I can reflect!
When love from these lips have spoken to ears heard,
It is not there for a temporary visit.
Arriving as it does...
With a wish the listener hears it,
And wants all of what it is to stay!
More of this awaits,
In patient heat for the making.
Hoping that a taking of it...
Will not be delayed.

Whispers Spoken In Breezes
why does sage sit alone within high mountain ranges
listening to whispers spoken in breezes upon journey winds
why does sage listen to words spoken by insects birds
listen to words spoken over centuries time by mountains
why is it that you grasshopper listen intent with thin legs

The very last word spoken
The last word spoken
was said in a whisper,
as if it wasn't meant at all
but it was the final word
that she ever spoke to me.
But she's gone now
so the word was meant
that final word spoken
said so quietly to me
maybe she didn't want to say it,
that's why it was whispered
but the word was goodbye.

They Didn’t Get It
They simply didn’t get it, they just did not understand,
Words that were spoken, to them by The Son of Man,
Spoken by The Holy Spirit, of The Eternal Living God,
To enlighten every journey, on the pilgrim path we trod.
Men chosen by The Savior, The Lord we know today,
To follow in His footsteps, in a new and powerful way.
Were given inside information, of His plan from above,
God’s plan for our Salvation, on Christ’s cross of love.
As the Disciples heard, their spiritual eyes couldn’t see,
That His plan wasn’t temporal, but it was for all eternity.
Do some of the people today, follow the very same suit,
When hearing God’s Word, they do not grasp the Truth?
Many men today have read, and listened to God’s Word,
But just like the Disciples, they don’t get what they heard.
Their own desires and hearts, sometimes got in the way,
And the same may be the case, for many believers today.
But after Christ’s ascension, those Disciples had received,
Power from The Holy Spirit, to realize all that they believed.
Today the same Holy Spirit, The Lord God above bestows,
Upon every new Believer, whom The Lord God truly knows.
Not a word He said
Before the Sanhedrin You spoke no word
and from Your lips no sound was heard.
Silent like a mute not a word was said
as awayto the cross, Lord You were led.
Your lips were silent and there came no sound.
In Your defence nothing was to be found.
As a lamb before the shearer is dumb
so from Your lips not a word was to come.
Angels were waiting for your bidding, Lord.
Silently You stood and spoke not a word.
You could have summoned that great army Lord.
They were ready and waiting for one word.
Silent there before Your accusers, Lord.
To their amazement You said not a word.
Louder than thunder was Your silence Lord.
Much more powerful than the spoken word.
Those gathered there did not understand why
You kept Your silence and did not reply.
Then there on the cross Your silence You broke.
'Father forgive them' were the words You spoke
Unspoken Words
In the deepest of your mind
Resides words that have never been spoken
Never been writen and never been whispered.
They are kept in the dark,
You hide them,
But they know what you think.
They watch your movements.
They will never come out:
Not for love and not for hatered,
You may wonder why they will never come out
Well, keep on wondering
Maybe
If spoken can heal the broken hearts,
Who knows.......
Maybe
If spoken can split the bond between love and care
You will leave and walk with them.
But unspoken forever they will remain.

On Holy ground
On Holy ground we tread
whenever the bible is read.
For words of life are spoken there
as God's living word we share.
Speak Lord in the stillness now
as humble in spirit I bow.
Unstop my ears that I may hear
Your words of Life so loud and clear.
Wind Words
WHILST THE WIND BLOWS
THOUGHT-LOSING WORDS BLEW ALONG
REFLECTING ON THEIR OWN MONOLOGUES
KNOWING MORE THAN THEY SAY
WOULD STAY SILENT
IF WORDS UNDERSTAND
WHAT THEIR CONTENTS IS
BUT WHO KNOWS WHAT WORDS KNOW
WOULD THEY SHARE
WHAT WORDS UNDERSTAND
WHISPERING THEIR KNOWLEDGE
THOUGHT-LOSING AND SILENT
TO THE WIND
OH, WIND - WHAT WOULD HAPPEN
WHEN YOU KNOW
WHAT WORDS UNDERSTAND
ALL THEIR MEANINGS
SPOKEN INTO YOU
AND BEEN HEARD
READY FOR A NEW VOICE
PUTTING THOUGHTS SOFTLY
BETWEEN YOUR LETTERS
OH, LOVELY WIND
WOULD YOU CARRY YOUR WISDOM
ABOUT SPOKEN WORDS CONFIDENTIAL
TO THE WAITING ONES
AND GIVE BACK ALL YOUR KNOWLEDGE
TO SENDERS IN RETURN
WHAT WOULD THE WORLD KNOW
WHEN WINDS SHARE THEIR WISDOM
WHILST THE WIND BLOWS

Lazy Enlightenment
now my soul speaks
now it is spoken before
it has spoken
before it has attempted
to speak
to my body to my mouth
seeing itself
in itself seeing
the beauty of the mirror
mirroring itself
upon itself
it is there
there is no question
there is no answer either
it is there
we have not seen it
we feel it
it is there listening
to us listening
to those awakened

Reading Out Loud
As I stood up in front of the crowd
They all sat still and silent
Their eyes and ears aimed like rifles on me
And I slowly read my poem aloud
My knees shook with every spoken lyric
My lips quivered as I couldn't stop
They listened intently, focused
As if my every word was the word of a mystic
Heavy emotions make me weightless
My eyes are shaking and my heart is too
My poem is almost finished
But the words aren't bitter and tasteless
I look at the crowd's emotionless faces as I finish reading
Their monotone lips curve upward as they clap
I walk off the stage nervously trying to maintain balance
And in my head the words of the poem repeat

Listening?
So much has been spoken.
So much has been said...
To fall on deaf ears.
So much has been seen,
And not comprehended.
Much misunderstanding...
Leads to reactions to produce conflict!
And why?
And for what purpose?
To achieve 'what',
In the end?
So much has been spoken.
So much has been said...
To fall on deaf ears.
So thick is the head...
That finds an ease to flow,
Dreaded tears to show!
And why?
And for what purpose?
To achieve 'what',
In the end?
Listening?

If I Ever Say I Love You It Will Be Politely
I'll never say 'I love you' to another woman.
Those words that burst first time so full, deliciously,
of joy, of gratitude at the sharing of an act of 'love'.
I don't seek, or long to hear, those same words said to me.
I don't know, have never known, I think,
their meaning.
But once said they must, at any opportunity,
be repeated until devalued to worthlessness.
'I love you', for each Christmas and every Birthday.
For Valentine's Days, 'I love you'.
For Wedding Day and First Date Day, ' I love you'.
For First Day of Joining in Mutually Consensual Sexual Intercourse,
'I love you'.
For Saturday nights, 'I love you'.
For ironed shirt or sewed on button,
for apple pie or ruined roast,
for diddums snookums burny finger,
'I love you'!
And then, when one has been angered,
or hurt, been brought to tears,
we make it right, with, 'You know I love you.'
You know I love you?
When cruelty of word or deed has cut so deep?
You know I love you?
But, if those words, withheld by truce, are never spoken once,
they are never spoken to excess.
Never spoken to where one has heard it all before.
To where one thinks the other said uncaringly,
'I love you.'
Or even worse, that it was they, themselves,
who lied with their, 'I love you.'
When those words are withheld by agreement,
by will of tender truce,
then no longer does lazy, thoughtless,
carelessness of, 'I love you',
suffice for depth of feeling, or
'You know I love you', for remorse.
For those words become the way of apathy
and, when refused to glibly uttering tongues,
must be replaced with something else.
With something, surely, more full of caring.
And, whether by a difference in glance or touch
or tone of voice or smile or kiss,
replaced with something from within.
With some thoughtful thing, perhaps,
of meaning.
