To Support A World
we must be two opposite
poles
repelling one another
to support
a world
distant apart
we maintain a certain space
where we can
be strong...

A Caring Person
It takes strong arms
to support the weight
of a breaking heart.
It takes strong shoulders
to comfort someone
with a grieving soul.
It takes a caring person
to be that strong support.
We walk tall throughout the world,
but even a mighty branch can break.
This is when we seek out a caring person,
who can be our supporting frame.
Someone who will stand by us
when all the others have gone,
our support in time of need.
You need strong arms to hug someone
when they feel they cannot go on.
You need strong shoulders for someone to cry on
within their hour of grief.
You need both of these things
just to be the supporting kind.

Worthy Of
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah
Ohhh, Yeah, Yeah
Girl I find you so amazing
With everyday I learn more about you
The way you work day out and day in
And still find time for us too, yeah
I love the fact that youre there for me when I feel down
No matter what Im going through
Lately Ive been questioning myself
Am I good enough for you?
[CHORUS:]
Am I worthy of?
Am I man enough?
Am I strong enough?
To maintain this love
Youve got me questioning (yeah)
Got me wondering (yeah, yeah)
Could I be that man?
That can keep you happy
I know that therell be times when Ill be miles away
And youll be all alone
I constantly fight my insecurities
When I cant reach you by phone
And, oh, Lord knows that Im only human
So please forgive me if I ask so many silly questions
I know that you truly love me but
Fear has me second-guessing
Am I worthy of?
Am I man enough?
Am I strong enough?
To maintain this love
Youve got me questioning
Got me wondering
Could I be that man?
That can keep you happy
Girl excuse my ways (excuse my ways)
Im not trying to push your love away (your love away)
Its just that sometimes my imagination gets the best of me, yeah
I still love you baby everyday, yeah yeah
Am I worthy of?
Am I man enough?
Am I strong enough?
To maintain this love (to maintain this love)
Youve got me questioning
Got me wondering (you got me thinking about myself)
Could I be that man (am I good enough for you)
That can keep you happy (yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah)
Am I worthy of?
Am I man enough?
Am I strong enough? (strong enough, yeah)
To maintain this love (to maintain this love)
Youve got me questioning
Got me wondering (you got me wondering, yeah)
Could I be that man?
That can keep you happy
Yeah
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah
I wanna keep you happy

There Is No River
there is no river
anywhere here on earth
which will
not accommodate the
widest hulls
of our sails
there is no sea
so crowded with vessels
there is always
a space for
whales and
sharks
there is no space that
can't hold a spaceship
there is no cloud
that is ever overfilled
with rain
there is always a space
for us
always a corner to rest
there is always
a star for everyone
to name
to become even our
own
if privacy is a must
why quarrel? why do you
make war on
anybody?
at the tips of the poles
there is always
a resting place

You.
You are the image of the World.
Your eyes are like two light houses
On the opposite poles.
Your nose, the tallest tower
sniffs all sort of air.
Your thin lips, the Equator
Your ears, which catch every secret murmur.
You are running around the Sun forever.
You are genius and untouchable
Oh! I am only a faded number
in your heart-calendar.

Poles Apart?
…poles apart ? ? ?
A poem by Sivan PG Menon
---------------
Poles, diverse…
Away…Distant…..
Draws …. One to one..…
conscience …Universal …
Earth…. its axis, an ardent vision…
Spins…
Infuses light …. Darkness….seasons’…..
In furious jolts …
Virulent high tides …and low ones…
…sea changes… Eerie calm…..awe inspiring …
Nature, sublime..
Guides….
Mentor…creator and the destructor….
*‘ Srishti.. Sthithi.. Samhara’….
Motives, never revealed....
As in man … ‘poles apart’
But…act Balancing ! ! ! ! !

To Support This House Of Love
to support this house of love
we must be strong pillars
lifting these burdens
high upon the clouds
space and distance apart
to each our own silence

My observation is that after one hundred and twenty years of modernisation since the opening of the country, present-day Japan is split between two opposite poles of ambiguity.

The Opposite Begins
When one has had it,
With a havoc that misfits...
That one agitated,
Finds an exit and splits.
People known to create conflict,
Seek an attention they don't get...
Until,
The opposite begins.
Opposition steps in.
They pretend a trust to believe,
To have others perceive but...
The opposite begins,
For them.
Wake up and take notice,
That the opposite begins for them.
Those who charade innocence.
The opposite begins for them.
Those masking evil intent.
The opposite begins for them.
When one has had it,
With a havoc that misfits...
Well,
The opposite begins.
The opposite begins.
And...
That one agitated,
Finds an exit and splits.
But then,
The opposite begins.
The opposite begins.
That one who's had it,
Splits and runs into love...
To know the opposite begins,
When someone genuine comes in...
To view.
When one has had it,
With a havoc that misfits...
Well,
The opposite begins.
The opposite begins.
And...
That one who's had it,
Splits and runs into love...
To know the opposite begins,
When someone genuine comes in...
To view.
They want it quick.
And...
When one has had it,
With a havoc that misfits...
To then see someone who genuinely fits,
Well...
The opposite begins pursued.
Oh yes it does.
An opposite begins pursued.

In Protective Custody
In a world of decay,
And accepted decadence.
One almost 'has' to be vicious,
To keep an earned peace of mind...
In protective custody.
It becomes increasingly difficult,
To maintain an addiction free existence.
Especially when one's own trials and tribulations,
Have been faced to confront obstacles...
That do not run in opposite directions.

My Foundation
Thanks for the support! Thanks for having faith in me!
Yeah right, you never supported me!
Like an earthquake shaking and bending the foundation of a skyscraper.
You attempted to break me and tell me I'm nothing.
A waste of space with no purpose!
Give it your best shot shake the ground underneath me.
But you will never break me.
Never bend me.
My foundation is stronger than you think.
You attempted to set fire to my skyscraper.
You spread the fear that I can't accomplish my goals.
The fire will be extinguished before it reaches the second floor.
I don't need you to maintain or tell me what's right for my skyscraper.
I can do this on my own, it's my building.
It's continuously developing, no thanks to you!
I don't need your approval to add another floor!
I don't need your permission to advance!
Go ahead and use your strongest wind, your worst storm, your most earth shattering earthquake.
I shall not breakdown.
I will be remaining standing strong, magnificent, and tall!

Freedom To Move In Opposite Directions
we need space
we are the free souls
every wall is a choking hand
we find it hard to breathe
we have been these two parallel lines
we converge and make outbursts of joys
we soon get tired
joys are boring too
we know it
we need space
we go in opposite directions now
trying to see what is there
in the world where we both do not live
i do not think of coming back
i think you think the same way
we are happier now
moving to another journey
we are not hurt
neither do we fear
the strangeness of freedom

Shades of Gray
Until now two extremes have shaped the days
From opposite ends of the scale of grays.
One without hue and not really white,
Because it couldn’t reflect all incident light.
The other lacked hue since rays that would fall
Were absorbed with no light reflecting at all.
Henceforth, a hopeful force steers a course of moderation.
Opposite ends of the spectrum will no longer stifle a nation.
Thoughtful, careful shades of gray soon will prevail
As crises require scalpel rather than hammer and nail.
Up to now opposite ends have been easiest to support;
Sadly, they have created an extreme world about to abort.
Intelligence and wisdom will finally have a strategic say,
Addressing issues here and abroad through shades of gray.
Problems are staggering and will need cooperation
Of electorate and politicians to avoid a depressed nation.
A miracle has happened to show that all are shades of gray,
As major changes are effected in this quest for a new day!

My Fav Crazy World
my fav crazy world,
hey this mature world,
maturer people in it,
i dont enjoy it,
luv to be one of the crazy world
don't just enjoy the set rite world.
my crazy world, my way
no contradictions, no debates.
only luv, no hates,
my way, my style, our way.
someone to share this crazy world,
who's only made for only mayb,
when think of this set rite world,
regret being a part of it,
but just cant help it!
dignity n moral,
easier to say,
just to very difficult to maintain,
but, will forever we'll maintain,
cos we wanna luv each other,
forever n ever.
for this life n our next birth ever,

Distant Light
Distant light flickers an invitation of hope.
In reaching it, there will be sanctification.
Dimness that surrounds the eyes
will be forgotten.
Black holes that open the heart
will be discarded.
Let the distant light come closer.
Let the distant light be a friend.
Shallow water cannot drown soul.
It can only hinder the passage.
Dampening the spirit as it frolics
like a moonbeam across the mind.
Distance lends unhappiness.
Let the distant light shine bright.
Let the distant light be a guide.
In closets of blackness the hands
seek an opening in the shadows.
They find nothing, but the eyes
focus on a distant light that
calls like a radio in the night.
Let the distant light embrace.
Let the distant light be closer.
In an emptiness of broken glass
there is a pattern to salvation.
Frame the light like fire in the glance,
walk towards it. Find escape.
Let the distant light be strong.
Let the distant light shine forever.
What is the distant light that shines?
What is its meaning in a journey?
This is an answer not easily explained.
This is a hope not readily known.
Let the distant light continue.
Let the distant light always shine.

As the earth spins through space, a view from above the North Pole would encompass most of the wealth of the world - most of its food, productive machines, doctors, engineers and teachers. A view from the opposite pole would encompass most of the world's poor.

Mind that mind!
Boundless… yet, it can formulate
these things called words…
to help itself and us; to call
to our imagination, bounds,
and boundlessness, in thought…
out of sleep and dream, leaps
to our assistance as a faithful hound
eager for the hunt; in a puckish moment
offers us the world.. all that is
and all that's not (and it’s
particularly strong on what is not…)
is it greater, then,
than its Creator? No, that can not be;
but greater than our image of
the Creator – ah! now there's the rub…
what is its shape, this shapeless thing?
as regular as a sphere – but of a geometry
beyond all spheres; its co-ordinates
beyond whatever is beyond…
yet almost as if it had (its centre
everywhere, its circumference just nowhere…)
imagined poles, joined yet held apart
by imaginary axis – so that it can hold
all opposites, all paradoxes;
so as you speak one thing, its opposite
like shadow, like uninvited echo,
haunts it as familiar ghost…
see it, hear it, and
you’ll win a reputation for broad-mindedness
or scholarly indecisiveness…you will walk
with blissful universality..
this glorious facility, new-born to us every moment,
to be ecstatic in our boundlessness…
and all this, before
we’ve even rolled and staggered out of bed…
