Time The Culprit, Shit, Has Changed You...
last night
after the meeting
i was thinking if it was still you
perhaps
time, the culprit has changed you
transformed you into
another
new-born hypocrite
denying a language
that we always speak
the eye contact is less
the hands are moving
that fast
meaning is murdered
but i
even in that dimming light
had a closer look of you
it is not you anymore
i am facing a
stranger
with sad eyes
but trying to borrow the glow
of the sun
the moon weeps for you
and then it rained
the candle light
on the table in the middle of the
green yard
beside the palm trees
died.

Sun-Woman
Let the sun show
over the hills, I love it so
Life is the sun,
the sun is life
let life rise, brightly, slowly, funly
let life never set.
But it does.
light turns to night, the
darkness comes
my eyes close slowly
sun, please don’t go.
please don’t go.
but wait-in the light of the setting sun
I see some hope
a slender shape
walks over the hills in the distance
the sun halls to a stop, seems
to look at the figure
seems to stare, decide if it’s worthy
then the sun starts flying,
back up into the sky.
the figure keeps walking, closer,
closer.
the sun keeps moving, as fast as light itself,
into the middle of the sky above me.
the shape is hope, hope itself
she is light, and for me, the only
way to avoid darkness.
She is not far now, I see her face.
she says, “Are you all right? ”
“Don’t worry, ” I tell her, “the sun is not
my enemy anymore. He is my ally.”
She smiles at my healing face, and then I say,
“You were my hope, you are my hope. You
are my only hope of avoiding the darkness.”
“And you are the same to me, my love, ”
She says.
I jump up and I take her hands,
and I sing, “My love, my hope,
when you go the darkness comes,
but as long as you come back
light will shed on my weary face.
I owe my life to you, Sun-Woman.
I owe my life to you, my love.
I owe my life to you.
I owe my life to you.”

Dont Look To The Eyes Of A Stranger
(harris)
Dont look to the eyes of a stranger
Dont look trough the eyes of a fool
Dont look to the eyes of a stranger
Somebodys watching when the light goes down
Dont look to the eyes of a stranger
Dont look trough the eyes of a fool
Dont look to the eyes of a stranger
Somebodys watching when the night comes down
Feel someones watching you
You gotta get away
Is it the first time
Youve ever felt this scared
Feel the adrenaline pump
Your heart begins to race
Begin to run now
The sweat runs down your face
Dont know which way to turn
Youd better hide yourself
Hes getting closer now
Youd better improvise
Just hope you never reach
The point of no return
Could be the last time
You see the light of day
Dont look to the eyes of a stranger
Dont look trough the eyes of a fool
Dont look to the eyes of a stranger
Somebodys watching when the night goes down
Dont look to the eyes of a stranger
Dont look trough the eyes of a fool
Dont look to the eyes of a stranger
Somebodys watching when the light goes down
Dont look to, dont look to
Dont look to the eyes of a stranger
Dont look to the eyes of a stranger
Dont look through the eyes of a fool
Dont look to the eyes of a stranger
Somebodys watching when the light goes down
Dont look to the eyes of a stranger

Candles
Faith for reasons still unknown
Like bleak house fog seems everywhere
The truth has frozen into stone
And hope lies freezing in the midnight air
Though dark our days may seem
This is a different dream
Their freedom light dont shine at all
So I will light a candle for you
Keep it burning in the night
And pray that you are all right
I will light a candle for you
Little candle burning bright
When school yard heroes disappeared
The little girl, she stands alone
Oh I believe you if you say
A prayer can help to get her home
So I will light a candle for you
Keep it burning in the night
And pray that you are all right
I will light a candle for you
Little candle burning bright

The Gentleman's Tear
At the candle light
And the dark around
He is sitting there alone
There is another light
Glowing bright from his heart
So pure and bright
Just I wished if I knew
Why he was sitting there alone.
Oh, how a cute gentleman!
At the magic nihgt
Under the candle light
What he was thinking about
That good hearted gentleman!
What a Deep! Deep! thoughts
Just If It could be seen
At the dark of the night!
What was thinking about
While he was touching the candle light
O, my God what was going on
How can be this true
At the darkness night
Under the candle light
Two drops of tears slipped from those charming eyes
I saw his face
The tears were rolling down
What could be the reason to make those eyes cry?
At the darkness nihgt
Under the candle light
Just I wanted if my wish would become true
Just I wished if I could be his light.
And wipe away the gloom

Single Candle Light
The warm glow of a single candle flame
beckons a weary stranger there
to the bosom of a warm fire in
from the nighttime's cold.
A warm caring heart keeps the candle lit
to welcome back their love
from their long and lonely trek.
Each night they light the candle,
and sit waiting all alone,
hoping one night their love,
will glance on it
and return to their loving home.
The warm stretching finger
prods the darkness every night,
as it can be seen from miles away
across the empty prairie,
as they sit alone each night
by the warm fair light.
Hoping that their love will see its warm glow
and return to it and come home tonight
from their long and weary trek.
For years, the candle was lit,
but sadly, it shines no more.
Love broke the lonely heart
when they never came home.
Now all you can hear is a lonesome whistle
when the wind blows cold at night.
It has replaced that warm glow
of that single candle light.

Suddenly the night
The leafy glades of her youth
were tumble down green while
her eyes adjusted to the light.
The woods of adulthood were
stark while she fretted over monetary
injudiciousness.
In late middle age when all about
was calm she saw the beauty of the trees.
So much colour in just one leaf,
lush, and so was she.
Autumn came too quickly
teasing her dimming sight.
Life ebbed away
and suddenly the night.

The Night You Murdered Love
Its cold outside - the night love died
On the night you murdered love
Its cold outside - the night love died
On the night you murdered love
From an early age
I was taught to respect
That a broken heart girl
Aint a thing you collect
Close your eyes and say
Nothing lasts a day
Youre wasting my time
Yet I love to love you
Close your eyes and say
Honour love obey
Youre wasting my time
Yet I love to love you
Its cold outside - the night love died
On the night you murdered love
Its cold outside - the night love died
On the night you murdered love
January...february...march and april may
June july sees you go by
I see love walk away
Didnt use a blade
A bullet or a gun
You poisoned the moonlight
When you put out the sun
Close your eyes and say
Nothing lasts a day
Youre wasting my time
Yet I love to love you
Close your eyes and say
Honour love obey
Youre wasting my time
Yet I love to love you
Its cold outside - the night love died
On the night you murdered love
Its cold outside - the night love died
On the night you murdered love
January...february...march and april may
June july sees you go by
I see love walk away
Close your eyes and say
Nothing lasts a day
Youre wasting my time
Yet I love to love you
Its cold outside - the night love died
On the night you murdered love
Its cold outside - the night love died

On the night you murdered love

Moonful Of Moments
Moon light so bright
It follows you all night
Have no fear nor no worry
No need for any hurry
It’ll guide you in your darkest hour
Light galore with endless power
When your candle melts or your torch it fails
Your eyes – a boat on sea
And the moon – wind in its sails
Or stay and watch its silent reign
The moon a ball and the night its chain
The blackness has no place to hide
Its whiteness wants to be your guide
Like many eyes its surrounded by
The stars are company dotted high
Full moon fears play on your mind
Stay one step ahead not behind
Magical moon playing tricks
The man who lives there gets his kicks
He’s smiling as your pace gets faster
Staying calm you have yet to master
Oh take advantage of its faithful glow
Enjoy it fully by going slow.
Moon light so bright
It follows you all night.

The Dreams
Spare a little candle
Save some light for me
Figures up ahead
Moving in the trees
White skin in linen
Perfume on my wrist
And the full moon that hangs over
These dreams in the mist
Darkness on the edge
Shadows where I stand
I search for the time
On a watch with no hands
I want to see you clearly
Come closer than this
But all I remember
Are the dreams in the mist
These dreams go on when I close my eyes
Every second of the night I live another life
These dreams that sleep when it's cold outside
Every moment I'm awake the further I'm away
Is it cloak n dagger
Could it be spring or fall
I walk without a cut
Through a stained glass wall
Weaker in my eyesight
The candle in my grip
And words that have no form
Are falling from my lips
These dreams go on when I close my eyes
Every second of the night I live another life
These dreams that sleep when it's cold outside
Every moment I'm awake the further I'm away
There's something out there
I can't resist
I need to hide away from the pain
There's something out there
I can't resist
The sweetest song is silence
That I've ever heard
Funny how your feet
In dreams never touch the earth
In a wood full of princes
Freedom is a kiss
But the prince hides his face
From dreams in the mist
These dreams go on when I close my eyes
Every second of the night I live another life
These dreams that sleep when it's cold outside
Every moment I'm awake the further I'm away
These dreams go on when I close my eyes
Every second of the night I live another life
These dreams that sleep when it's cold outside
Every moment I'm awake the further I'm away

That One Blue Candle
(danny okeefe/vince melamed)
Turn out the light
Darkness makes me sentimental
Warm breeze wraps around us
And theres comfort in your voice
On second thought
Please leave on that one blue candle
Life reveals your secrets
And it gives my eyes a choice
All the shadows dance upon the walls
Love is all thats left to say
As the glow from that one blue candle
Softly lights the way
And tomorrow when the world returns
And the shadows of the night depart
Will the light from that one blue candle
Still be burning in our hearts?
By candle light
These moments slowly melt together
And well make love last forever
This time its only us
All the shadows dance upon the walls
Love is all thats left to save
As the glow from that one blue candle
Softly lights the way
And tomorrow when the world returns
And the shadows of the night depart
Will the light from that one blue candle?
Still be burning in our hearts
Still be burning in our hearts
Still be burning in our hearts

Distant Light
Distant light flickers an invitation of hope.
In reaching it, there will be sanctification.
Dimness that surrounds the eyes
will be forgotten.
Black holes that open the heart
will be discarded.
Let the distant light come closer.
Let the distant light be a friend.
Shallow water cannot drown soul.
It can only hinder the passage.
Dampening the spirit as it frolics
like a moonbeam across the mind.
Distance lends unhappiness.
Let the distant light shine bright.
Let the distant light be a guide.
In closets of blackness the hands
seek an opening in the shadows.
They find nothing, but the eyes
focus on a distant light that
calls like a radio in the night.
Let the distant light embrace.
Let the distant light be closer.
In an emptiness of broken glass
there is a pattern to salvation.
Frame the light like fire in the glance,
walk towards it. Find escape.
Let the distant light be strong.
Let the distant light shine forever.
What is the distant light that shines?
What is its meaning in a journey?
This is an answer not easily explained.
This is a hope not readily known.
Let the distant light continue.
Let the distant light always shine.

I Found You- (for my best friend)
Alone in this world,
Not meant for me to live in, I never knew
Why the sun rose and set, why it rained so hard-
My tears, my tears-That fell upon the edge of time-
The three quarter moon last night
I could almost reach with arms outstretched-
So it seemed, so I wondered where in this universe
Is there a place for me? Every morning, every night
Walking the same path hoping to find,
At the end of my journey-
Although only the same valley,
The same trees and the same creek- and
Then I found you.
You, with the sparkling eyes of green,
You with the hair, reddish gold as the sun
That rose and set and
That welcoming, winning smile and
Then I could see that outstretched arms
Could belong to someone else and
How these arms were reaching out to me?
Instantly you became a blossoming daffodil
In the same familiar valley, standing stately
Beneath that same familiar tree, wading in that nearby creek-
Alone as I, you were and we connected as
Two shooting stars meeting in the universe so vast and
The rain stopped, as we circle danced with the
Elegance and mysticism as the rings of Saturn?
As with the wave of the hand of a sorcerer, we became one-
Sharing our delusions of the meaning of life,
Together we found a world of our own- one meant for the
Two of us alone- where the sun rose and set-
Just for you and I, and I know now that no matter how hard it rains and
Even if I never saw the sun rise and set again
My tears- my tears have disappeared because I have found you-
My own sun- that shooting star that has given me light and
I can see to walk down any path and no matter which path I walk-
I shall find you near and shall never be alone, again-
And when we reach the end of any path- we shall circle dance together
Surrounded by the light emitted from our laughter,
Beneath the light of the three quarter moon-
Upon the edge of time, everlasting…

Farewell Speech
what i like from you is that
you are no longer talking
beside me,
my bed is my favorite mate
it does not talk
i have told you that many times
the moon is what i miss
it is dimming and cold with its glow
it is very much like me
what i like from you is that you do not weep
i have told you not to cry
and i like it most when you understand
what is a sky
and you see how it opens
and takes
what lies here on earth
tired and hopeless
what i love in you is that you always give
and there is no complaining
when finally
i am taken by the hands of the sky
by the dimming glow of the moon
when this bed
finally surrenders
breaks its legs
asks the blanket and the mattress
and the pillow
to leave
what i cannot forget about you is this
you have followed the ways of
my eyelashes
when i finally
close my eyes
do not weep
for soon we shall all be there
the moon, the bed, and blankets and pillows
and mattresses
the sky and earth
soon.

Fractured Moon
Fractured moon
In a silver spoon
Dissolved into the eyes
Of awakening tiger
Then moved away
In a vanishing light
With a lunar tone
Fractured moon
Swallowed
By a flying dragon
With all fire and no fire
The fractured moon
Collapsed in doom
While the souls
Of the dead
Still roam
Closer and closer
Near the moon
Around the moon
Within the moon
Or what have left
From a
Fractured moon
Or maybe
Another Moon
Like a photo of
A bright image
Held by aging fingers
Of a woman
Praying in her
Upstairs Room
For “long” dead
Human loved form
Near the bolted
Green back door
Stood a ghostly figure
Of an old man
Weeping
In the silence of
An astral night
Trying for an opening
To reach her
Over and over
But in vain
For the woman
in the
Upstairs room
Darkness born
In the second shadow
Of a fractured moon
And light moulded
In the old house
In a special corner
of
A very special room
Fractured moon
In a silver spoon
Dissolved into the eyes
Of awakening tiger
Then moved away
In a vanishing light
With a lunar tone

I Have Become My Own Season
I have become my own season
living through these renewable eras of you
that come and go
like the fragrances of passing stars
that sometimes stop by the gate
to talk about the garden blooming late.
Some flowers wait for the moon to open,
to throw their arms around space
as if they could encompass everything
in the brief embrace of their petals,
and their seeing is one eye under multiple eyelids
as they burn like jewels in the night
to keep it all shining and bright.
But I've worn out the elbows
of my insatiable longing
on the windowsills of a different insight.
Saddened by the distance, the time, the circumstances,
delinquent desires still hanging out their shingles
like green apples on a dead branch in winter,
withering like the inconsolable eyes of old men
who have died like sons
and now must die like fathers,
mine is the darker radiance
of the faint halo of light
around a black hole
that summons everything
down into it like the sea
sitting below its own salt
at a stranger's table.
You can't look into
the black mirrors in my house
with your eyes open
because they only reflect
what's on the back of your eyelids
where the only light is your own
and you are the road
and the lantern you go by
and everything you feel and think and imagine
is your own true face without skin
not the gate between outside and in.
How could I ever recognize you
in these dark spaces
if it weren't for the trees
and the stars and the moon
and the night stream that runs through me
like a lifeline on the palm of my hand
down from the mountains
in a rush of diamonds and gold
that pour out like the pent-up emotions
of a sword that's just been pulled from a stone?
And how hugely alone the night is
when you love someone as they are
and you realize without effort
that if you hold them a moment in their transience
you hold them like a star in a locket of water
that tastes like the past.
There are people
like treebound barrels of rain
and then there are people like me
who leak out of their lives
like radioactive water
that couldn't pool the pain
long enough to stop the meltdown
long enough to cool the brain,
long enough to let it kill me.
Now in the darkness
seeded with the dust of black dwarfs
trying to clench a fist of coal into diamonds
my auroras are weeping neon dew
like a cheap enlightenment
all over the watercolours of dawn.
And I'm wondering
what kind of an afterlife is this
that I might have foregone
if I were indifferent
to how my solitude deranges me
like a lost continent
wandering through its own mindscapes
like an extinguished star
that wants to make up
just for one luminous moment
a constellation of its own
that doesn't wait upon anyone's eyes
for the themes of its seeing.
And though the skies have changed
like the slides of childhood dreams
with every blink of an eyelid
whenever night approaches me
and asks to sit by my fire
and let the flames and the smoke
of our past lives
speak for the both of us
I look up to give my eyes
like two drops of water
back to their oceanic immensities
and it's always unattainably you
that is shining
like a woman in the window
of a secret house of the zodiac
far off the beaten path
that leads everywhere like a firefly.
And your stars speak to me
as if my flesh were light again
and my heart
that bumps its way through the dark
already a lamp beyond
the Lazarus of wax
that's buried in his own lucidities
like a candle I left for dead.

Among the Trees
I wonder lost among the trees
Looking for the one my heart calls for
I wonder lost among the trees
I see your light amongst the dark
I wonder lost among the trees
Your light is brighter then the rest
I wonder lost among the trees
Your light is out of my reach
I wonder lost among the trees
Your light comes closer
I wonder lost among the trees
Your light is bright like an angel from the sky
I wonder lost among the trees
Your light fades away and leaves me alone
I wonder lost among the trees
Without a hand to guide the way
I wonder lost among the trees
Looking for my guiding light
I wonder lost among the trees
I wonder lost, alone
I wonder afraid of the world
Around me I look for the one
I wonder lost among the trees
I wonder lost and alone forever...................................

Just One Kiss
I remember the time that
You rained all night
The queen of siam in my arms
Remember the time that the islands sank
But nobody opened their eyes
Remember that time that the trees fell down
The wood crashing through the wall
Remember the sound that could wake the dead
But nobody woke up at all
Somebody died for this
Somebody died for just one kiss
Remember the time that the sky went black
We waited alone on the sands
Remember the taste of the raging sea
But nobody held out their hands
Somebody died for this
Somebody died
For just one kiss
Just one kiss
Just one kiss

The Morning After
A kasha/j hirschorn
Theres got to be a morning after, if we can hold on through the night
We have a chance to find the sunshine lets keep on looking for the light
Oh cant you see the morning after? its waiting right outside the storm
Why dont we cross the bridge together and find a place thats safe and warm?
Its not too late, we should be giving, only with love can we we climb
Its not too late, not while were living, lets put our hands out in time
Theres got be a morning after, were moving closer to the shore
I know well be there by tomorrow and well escape the darkeness
We wont be searching anymore
Theres got be a morning after, were moving closer to the shore
I know well be there by tomorrow and well escape the darkeness
We wont be searching anymore
Theres got be a morning after
Theres got be a morning after
Theres got be a morning after

The Moon
Beautiful Moon, with thy silvery light,
Thou seemest most charming to my sight;
As I gaze upon thee in the sky so high,
A tear of joy does moisten mine eye.
Beautiful Moon, with thy silvery light,
Thou cheerest the Esquimau in the night;
For thou lettest him see to harpoon the fish,
And with them he makes a dainty dish.
Beautiful Moon, with thy silvery light,
Thou cheerest the fox in the night,
And lettest him see to steal the grey goose away
Out of the farm-yard from a stack of hay.
Beautiful Moon, with thy silvery light,
Thou cheerest the farmer in the night,
and makes his heart beat high with delight
As he views his crops by the light in the night.
Beautiful Moon, with thy silvery light,
Thou cheerest the eagle in the night,
And lettest him see to devour his prey
And carry it to his nest away.
Beautiful Moon, with thy silvery light,
Thou cheerest the mariner in the night
As he paces the deck alone,
Thinking of his dear friends at home.
Beautiful Moon, with thy silvery light,
Thou cheerest the weary traveller in the night;
For thou lightest up the wayside around
To him when he is homeward bound.
Beautiful Moon, with thy silvery light,
Thou cheerest the lovers in the night
As they walk through the shady groves alone,
Making love to each other before they go home.
Beautiful Moon, with thy silvery light,
Thou cheerest the poacher in the night;
For thou lettest him see to set his snares
To catch the rabbit and the hares.

Outsider
i had it once
walking with a friend
meeting his lover
along this crowded
alley to the mall
then, they look
at each other
with dreamy eyes
hold hands,
sit together on
a chair on a round
table and they
speak their own language
and speak some more
on anything
sweet nothings
i become
non-existent
i have become
to them the perfect
outsider
love the circle
that takes them
exclusively in
where everybody
are outsiders
mindlessly
