This Is My Hiding Place

as a child i was hurt
hurt so deeply with nowhere to tell how hurt i was once
with no other place to bury my tears
to shout my fears
there were no skies above me
there was no moon to confide
there were only walls

i have grown up
through layers and layers of silence
thick silence thicker than the earth of million years
strong and big and always
keen and piercing the walls that i have been used to
i have seen more about life's pains
and felt the dangers
that i have escaped and survived
i have become a man
and found this hiding place

my poetry.

A Child Was Hurt

When I was a child you hurt me.
I was nothing but a mere girl.
I was only 5 years old.
I couldnt fight you couldnt fend you off.
A child was hurt.

A child was hurt for your fantasies.
That child was me.
I was only a wee girl.
A child was hurt.

It used to be a cool place to play.
It once was my faviorate place to go.
But you took that from me.
As well as raping me.
A child was hurt.

You said it was a game.
I knew it was rong.
It didnt feel right.
I begged you to stop.
You looked laughed and carried in.
A child was hurt.

A child was hurt.
I was so much smaller than you.
You towered over me.
You had the power.
And you didnt care.
A child was hurt

Changeling

changeling,
dervish lover...

you're all
tongue and
groove!

you salt my desire
like no one else can.

hidden beneath layers
of self-imposed hurt,
and walls you built,
hiding from yourself.

you rage against the storms
of life, your hand quivers
at the wheel!

i wait; a small bird
on your windowsill....
for time to bring you back

from the land of the dead!

It’s hurt to kiss you

It’s too hurt to kiss you
Fall in love with you
It’s not true
In this moon I croon
Horrible pains are full
It’s too hurt I can’t to kiss you
I love you, too
But you didn’t to do

It’s too hurt to kiss your heart
So I felt love is in the earth
Everyday to days
I painted you in the paints
Love is on the airs

It’s to hurt to kiss your lips
It’s to hurt I can to feels
To kiss the lips, I can’t believes
The hearts must be clean
To believe love between you and me

Looking Back To The Mountains Strong

when things go wrong
we struggle with so much
silence

sometimes a whistle can make
a good pretension

a slight tap on the back
a hug can make a good compliment

with us
there must be more to this struggle in silence

the years have been adding up
like layers of soil upon a hill

we dig into all these layers
to find roots

they are not dead yet
the trees may have no leaves and

all the twigs may have dried up
and when you cut it

each shall give up its hollowness
too easily in a snap of your finger

the layers are pictures of what we are
what kindness we extended to our shortcomings

we look back to see mountains still strong with their peaks
we look forward to the endless horizon of the seas

there are two suns now
you and I.

Cant Take The Hurt Anymore

Now that the past has ended
My lifes an open door
I know that we could have been mended
Oh but I cant take the hurt anymore
Cant take the hurt anymore
Ooh ooh cant take the hurt anymore
The rainbows over
But Ive seen it leave before
A love thats been left in the corner
Ooh cos I cant take the hurt anymore
Cant take the hurt anymore
Ooh ooh cant take the hurt anymore
Lady of my ladys
Cant we find the right
And leave behind the sorrow
Lady of my ladys
Cant we find the light
Bright enough to guide us
Cant take the hurt anymore
Ooh ooh cant take the hurt anymore
This love grows older
But Ive felt it all before
Yesterdays over my shoulder
Ooh cos I cant take the hurt anymore
Cant take the hurt anymore
Ah ah cant take the hurt anymore
My love I found has lost its crown
But I just cant leave it die
I fool myself and no one else
Cos I would if I could and I try
Cant take the hurt anymore etc....

Tears We Cry

Tears we cry, tears we cry
Sometimes tears Kalahari dry
Tears we cry, tears we cry

For others many tears
In us for us many fears
For us we haven't tears

Their aches hurt so
But our heartaches hurt too
Why then do we for theirs cry so?

Mine tears don't for me flow
Tears for they my mind blow
Like a virgin turn whore

Went to a funeral
Of a relation to my fellow
How my heart felt hollow

In my gran'pa's requiem
I cried, but not a single scream
Friends spiced my cry like cream

We have wells for their tears
And deserts for our fears' tears
Tears we cry, for they that we cry

Walls

Walls of stone and walls of brick,
Some walls thin and some walls thick,
Walls so high and walls so low,
Walls to hide and walls to show.

Walls quite short and walls quite tall,
Some walls, last well, some walls fall,
Walls for comfort, walls of hate,
Walls for security, walls ornate.

Some as a barricade, some to support,
Walls of wood and walls of iron wrought,
Walls as a barrier, walls to enclose,
Some are to sit on, some to lean and doze.

Walls we build ourselves, these aren't good,
Walls for privacy, walls that have stood,
So many years through weather foul or fine,
Walls, that are yours, walls that are mine.

Brick by brick they are built to last,
Whether built now or in the past,
They shelter us from so many things,
And shield us from whatever this life brings.

Pain (lyrics)

Regret sits heavy in your chest until sometimes it gets so hard to breathe
Sometimes it just wont go away and you start to feel you will never be
And when you think back on those times it seems so close just beyond your reach
Until past vanishes like smoke from a cigarette in the night breeze

Please stop this pain
Hurt for so long
Pain
Hurt for so long
I've felt this way for so long

How is it that things turn out this way?
What you hold most dear has come and gone
Seems the time that everything was right
Now it just feels wrong, oh so wrong
And your still dreaming of the time
When the day will come, it was meant to be
And your still dreaming of the way
To reach that place that you've never been

Please stop this pain
Hurt for so long
Pain
Hurt for so long
I've felt this way for so long

Pain
Hurt for so long
Pain
Hurt for so long
Pain
Hurt for so long
Pain
Hurt for so long
I've felt this way for so long

So Hurt

Its hard I know to understand
Nothing lasts for ever
The things you used to say and do
The places you would go to meet
When you were together
You set your face against the tide
The harsh words that were spoken
But after all the anger
The shouting and the tears
You found your heart was broken
Fight the tears
Fight the fever
Dont give in
Soul deceiver
So hurt
With the pain you cant hide
So lost
And lonely inside
So hurt
When the feeling has died
So hurt
With the pain you cant hide
So lost
And lonely inside
So hurt
When the feeling has died
Just like the clock went back ten years
To make a new beginning
To work out how to live your life
To take the board and play the game
And recognise youre winning
Your memories mean nothing now
Youre just a little older
Moving forward with the crowd
Silent fears but laughing loud
Not wiser but just bolder
Fight the tears
Fight the fever
Fight the hurt
Dont give up
So hurt
With the pain you cant hide
So lost
And lonely inside
So hurt
When the feeling has died
So hurt
With the pain you cant hide
So lost
And lonely inside
So hurt
When the feeling has died

So many layers

every poem

a part of me
taken off
a butterfly
leaving behind
its larvae
to take on wings
and colours
to explore the world
to give world
another layer
to fascinate over
van gogh
that shed
so many layers
to bring out
those layers
on his canvas
to our hearts
layers of pains,
tears, and......

I was deeply hurt

Why people all the time need praise?
Is it inherent which makes their head to raise?
Does that step seem to be wise?
Who has it all for surprise?

Not affecting me as an individual,
For pretenders who use the life dual,
Try to project wise and create visual,
In reality, they lead life very casual,

I am, sometimes, very deeply hurt,
Not by their intelligence but reply curt,
I was visibly moved and felt embraced,
My respect and words completely silenced

At any given time poet’s get fame,
Without HIS grace they were lame,
Someone may succeed and some fail in game,
It may be destiny so as not to blame,

I being novice tried at poetry,
Made hard way to gain entry,
Found long queues guarded by sentry,
Some found success others felt jittery,

I pushed my way and got some hold,
Response from seniors was very cold,
Think them all as if descended from heaven
Not matching caliber and find uneven,

I felt hurt at compliment “very: sad”
Colleague was hurt at rated not high,
YOU KNOW it has place among 500,
May be that went down with my rating,

Does the pride do us any harm?
Prevent us to look kind and warm,
Does this enhance any prestige or charm?
With equal treatment and same care,
Do you take more yields from a house farm?

Silence 1.

Most times when I'm hurt,
My silence speaks for me.
She speaks very loud;
Even louder than a megaphone.

I choose to be silent, -
When most things happen,
Not because I cannot speak;
Nor that my words have evaded me,
But because in my silence-
There's a challenging power.

Sometimes in my fears,
When my heart is filled with love,
And my eyes with tears;
I learn to love, just like a dove.
My mouth moves to speak,
But is suddenly cut short by silence,
Silence in love, silence in fear.

Silence in tears, silence in joy;
And when I'm in this mood,
My silence stands so tall-
Even taller than a giant;
She makes her way; -
Even more than spoken words.

Spoken words of loud emotions,
They meet my silence-
And they tremble in awe.
I could hear those words;
They say to themselves,
'How art silence so mighty? '.

Those Who Hurt and Go

When you've been hurt and it is felt,
Is if felt like no one else?
When you've been scandalized to dirt...
Is this a group effort that's hurt?

And when forgiveness is expected,
Is it easy to forget...
Those who left you feeling grief.
Perceiving you to over-react.
And you to be too sensitive.

There is a misunderstanding...
As to who should feel what deeply.
To what degree a hurt is felt.
And who is left to grieve.

When you've been hurt and it is felt,
Is if felt like no one else?
When you've been scandalized to dirt...
Is this a group effort that's hurt?

No!
No!
No-no-no.

There's a misunderstanding...
As to who should feel what deeply.
To what degree a hurt is felt.
And who is left to grieve.

There's a misunderstanding...
As to who should feel what deeply.
To what degree a hurt is felt.
And who is left to grieve.

And when forgiveness is expected,
Is it easy to forget...
Those who left you feeling grief,
Believing you are weak.

When you've been hurt and it is felt,
Is if felt like no one else?
When you've been scandalized to dirt...
Is this a group effort that's hurt?

There's a misunderstanding.
By those who hurt and go.
There's a misunderstanding.
By those who hurt and go.

When you've been hurt and it is felt,
Is if felt like no one else?
When you've been scandalized to dirt...
Is this a group effort that's hurt?

Explorations: XVI

nurtured and adored
all relationships
circumstantial!

ashes whisper
life's course
incessantly

crumbs of loneliness
scattered on earth
birds and insects feed

peace:
for one, much despised
for other, much desired

treat hurt
with tenderness
lo, it becomes love!

embrace hurt
that it can
never hurt!

tears of joy sorrow
our collective inheritance
on earth

moths kiss light;
taste life once
before death!

Abrupt beginning
Leads to abrupt ending
Time to re-define!

People come and go
Like waves in the sea
Heart, untouched

The sea roared
The wind across waves boomed
Silence redefined!

Hurt

(words & music by j.crane - a. jacobs)
Im so hurt to think that you lied to me
Im hurt way down deep inside of me
You said our love was true
And well never, never part
Now youve got someone new
And it breaks my heart
Im hurt, much more than youll ever know
Yes darling, Im so hurt
Because I still love you so
Even though you hurt me
Like nobody else could ever do
I would never hurt, hurt you

Silence

Silence builds within these walls.
Across my brain a dark spectre crawls.
I feel the maddness creeping in.
Or was it long ago it did begin?

I can not tell,
because I reside within my shell.
Where only silence calms infernal hell.
Internal silence to keep from breaking.

I've hurt enough.
I take refuge,
from all the pain I dealt to you.
A dark shadow I cast upon your life.
Now silence strikes,
and blindness hides the love we shared.
Myself I now despise.

Silence surrounds pumping in my head,
in my veins a pounding beat that drains.
I'll sit here now in contemplation and meditation.
Pondering mistakes I've made small and great.

The spider runs across my brain,
as silence fills with loathsome shame.
Tears run from my eyes as acid rain.
I'll wrap myself up in deep refrain.
Until I make my penance and lift the grey.

Silence Echos

Silence
makes my heart break
Silence
Love, does not make

Silence
Was it all just a terrible mistake?
Silence
Was love just a game, just fake?

Silence
Leaves me heartbroken
Silence
Kills he feeling behind words unspoken

Silence
has is a shield you hide behind
Silence
Guards what's on your mind

Silence
Chills your heart's sound
Silence
Love cannot silently be found

Silence
has turned your dreams blind
Silence
is darkness in which you cannot find

Silence
Crushes the hopeful feelings that were kind
Silence
Of emptiness it did remind

Silence
Silence took all I sought to find
Silence
Silence was hurtful and unkind

Silence
Will kill love before it ripens on the vine
Love will go silently
But it's lonely hurt will echo for all time

Don't Hurt Yourself

(HogarthKellyMosleyRotheryTrewavas)
There'll come a time when all of this is over
Something else will grow and take it's place
The brand new car:scrap metal in a junkyard
The children playing will grow up and leave home
Put it away this dream you can't stop dreaming
Put it away this anger and desire
The open road is infinitely hopeful
Take all those memories and throw them in the fire
And don't hurt yourself
Don't hurt yourself
Don't hurt yourself anymore
There's old man on a warm and sunny island
No job, no money, just a smile to call his own
Know what he says?. "The past will only haunt you.
Live for today. Each day's an open door
Don't hurt yourself
Don't hurt yourself
Don't hurt yourself anymore"
Nothing to lose is nothing to fight over
The shining stars!
They've seen it all before.
Don't hurt yourself
Don't hurt yourself
Don't hurt yourself anymore
Dust keeps coming. Rust keeps coming. Weeds keep growing. Seeds keep growing
Where you going?
