you hold the map to my feelings
i put there the markers of my joys
some lines lead to an island
where desire thrives like a flower
there is enough rain and air
love breathes and lust sprouts
we agree on a date
when the moon wanes to give us
the fertility of the darkest night
to give birth to a hundred stars
i waited for the last cycle of the sun
the heat scorches me and when you arrive
on the day of the tryst agreed by our hearts
you will find the dust of my feet the sighs of my songs
the imagination of the flowing river
and the grassy bed, fragile light, firefly flame
these matters of the heart
they all go away like the flicker of the mind

The Firefly's Fascination
On the flight of the moon to aflame the night,
A firefly's looking up to the light he much adored,
Seem a light of a firefly that he's longing for.
Her brilliant dancing fire,
The endless flashes of light,
Her dazzling face he desire
It was so bright,

All he did by night was to look above
He never let his light fade just awhile,

Being Left Out
we arrive here together
when the moon was full
for what reason i am left out
i am alone
and you who are all my friends
like sparrows
flew away from me
together
i am like a tree without leaves
and the rocks from the cliff
stare at me in silence
the rivers have their tryst with the sea
the clouds in reunion with the wind

I stand with her with the moon in full bloom
Never have I seen such a night

Firefly Love Bug
the firefly which is a beetle
leaves my heart torn and feeble.
it came into my life with its bright light.
when i was at my darkest peak
and my heart was mighty weak.
it radiated such a glow
that i did'nt know which way to go.
so i followed this lovely light
and it took me on a perilous flight.
it said that it could find love
even in the dark
and for me to give it my heart.
so i entrusted to it the one thing
that i had left, and it would give me
all its best.
it searched every road, and every trail
but! to no avail.
then it said that it knew where to go.
where all hearts roam free
and that's where i had to be.
it carried my heart to a beautiful chapel
where the voices of joy rose high
and it stretched across the sky
there my heart saw what it was looking for.

to be with me til the end of time.
as our hearts floated up high.
and we looked down to this chapel.
