The Silence Between Us, You Read A Book, I Face The Monitor

talking has become a surplusage
when thoughts are like a gathering of
old friend in the university where
we finished college

there is always an ongoing exchange of
what if's
or oh my God
is that you?
what happened
to the standard bearer
of 1981?

the lips are like tombs whose openings are
closed
recently because the dead body is there
resting in eternal peace

the room has become a very big ocean for the two of us
boats without sails

in the middle of darkness going nowhere

Let me keep watch

Let me keep watch
Over your body when
You are resting in peace.
Let me sacrifice
My meditation to you
When you are resting in peace
Let me protect your body
From rotting
When you are resting in peace.
Let me protect your memories
And dreamless dreams
When you are resting in peace.
Let me plant a fruit tree
Above you that I may still eat
When you are resting in peace.
Let me storm the gates of heaven
When you are resting in peace.
Let me give you oblation
Of our experience
When you are resting in peace.
Let me breathe for you
When you are resting in peace.
Let me douse the fires of hell
When you are resting in peace.
Let me glorify your name
When you are resting in peace.
Let me be your counterpoint
When you are resting in peace.
Let me overcome the light
When you are resting in peace.
Let me touch your organs
When you are resting in peace.
Let me drink your water
When you are resting in peace.
Let me describe your bones
When you are resting in peace.
Let me dream your dreams
When you are resting in peace.

Words Of Peace

Peace had come, to arouse feelings with emotions,
Gathering a desperate courage was ideal for peace.
He observed the sails flapped more sensibly with clothes,
By the intensity of the weather of the tempest, a system.
You are the finest! Thinking of reading, the finest points
Are mastered by the brain and heart, like a conscience
That inhabits the room, to be filled with thoughts.
One finds words that deliver speeches, yet speech is compact
And peace has come, and peace will divide the masses
Into camps, so great is one and so awful is the other.

This Is A Boat

this is a boat and it is in my hand
the hand is the sea
and my fingers keep it wavy

this is the boat and it is wooden
and it is loaded unevenly on its left side
and so it leans on the heavy
edge like it is a man
with a shorter left foot
and walks like the
floor is uneven
and imperfect

this is my body and it has become an ocean
and the boat sails on without the sun
my eyes the moon and stars
and they are closed

this is the darkness where the boat sails
and this is the silence
of its journey

this is my mind
and everything: the boat, the sea, the ocean
the tilting, the weight of the load,

things exist because i let them so
this is my hand and this is the sea of waves
these emotions

this is the mouth speaking
without any sense at all like a woman nude
running for life away from the atomic bomb

Drops of lies are born in one’s thoughts,
Run like a river, gathering moss,
Sails through fields, mixing with mud,
And receive dirt to reach the mass of ocean.

In The Ocean of Sense

In the Ocean of sense
thoughts flow in its depth
has no beginning no ending
something mind and brain hail

Tries with the ladder
travels far and far
runs like a horse here to there

When finds something of interests
returns to its dwelling abode
takes a chair with cheering face

If found nothing in the Ocean
returns being tired of haze
even in sleeping keeps open its race

Soul pours sense and sense sails thoughts
thought sails mind to be with that
all are with instinct thoughts need to ride
at last in the Ocean swims pride.

Rejoice Within

Even in the darkest of days, from our heart, The Lord we can praise,
From the beginning to the very end, we can be truly thankful friend.
Even when all seems to go wrong, Jesus has placed in us His Song,
That from our heart we can raise, joyfully up to The Lord His praise.

As you journey upon this earth, Christ fills you with song and mirth.
And we can praise Him, for who He is, as we ponder Eternal Bliss,
For all this darkness will not last, and soon it will be in eternity past.
And as the darkness is no more, we’ll be eternally praising The Lord.

Christ fills us with a joy and peace, which in our trials will not cease.
Friend, from The Spirit living inside, flows a joy that we can not hide.
This joy inside is not from earth, but from Heaven through New Birth.
It’s a joy that sets Believers apart, putting Eternal Peace in our heart.

Friend, all the praise from within, comes not from us but is from Him,
You too can have this peace within, for Christ also died for your sin.
Yes my friend, Christ died for you, Christ died to give you life anew.
You can have New Life in Christ, as His death for you is Eternal Life.

Together we can give God praise, as we look forward to Eternal Days.
Today if you make that Eternal choice, you will friend, forever rejoice.
Rejoice my friend, in The Lord, and then receive an Eternal Reward.
Today is the day you can begin, to live for Christ and rejoice within.

Out Of Darkness

Darkness, end, den, ark, dark, Ken, near, ear, seas, snare, sand, sears;
But the streets are full of bombs! !
And the poeple are consumed in the graveyard of tombs.

Darkness, era, dear, read, dad, red, and, an, sake, naked, Dan, send, dress;
I came out of my mother's womb into the world with peace,
But you pressed your thumb on the bomb to kill many! !
And the graveyards are ow full of tombs,
But when will a light come out of this darkness?

Romance of the souls

She
Kept on speaking
Telling me
How to deal with
Life’s intricacies
How to remain calm
In difficulties
And keep smiling
I kept on listening
So involved and
Mesmerized I was
I didn’t know
When she had
Stopped speaking
She reacted pleasantly
Asked me
Were you not listening?
I came out of
My deep thoughts
No, No
I was enjoying your
Wonderful discourse
I remember
Each and every word
You said
Was my reply
Now it was my turn
To tell her
About contentment
Confidence and attitude
She closed her eyes
Listened to what I said
With full sincerity
I finished speaking
But she did not
Open her eyes
Were you listening?
I asked
Yes, yes
Was her reply
Each and every word
You said
Is embossed in my mind
So involved we were
In each other’s discourse
That we did not realize
When each of us
Finished speaking
Kept our eyes closed
Wanting to listen
More and more
I asked her
How it is possible?
It was her turn to
Explain it to me
Dear friend
All what happened
Is called
Romance of the souls
My soul
Was romancing
With yours

Life's Beginning, Middle, End

Taking your first steps,
Your first birthday,
That nervous feeling you get on that first day of school.
Your first friend who will be there for you.
your highschool years,
Graduation,
College,
university,
The job you get that never seems to fill that gap in your life.
The day of retirement.
The mountains you climb
The vacations you take.
But then,
The days that you wish you could of spent more time with the family.
Then.........
Darkness

Do You Know?

Do you know God’s Only Son, His choice in Who our victory’s won?
Our victory over death and sin, the victory that is only found in Him.
Do you know His Son Jesus Christ, Who died to give us all New Life?
For Jesus Christ died upon that tree, to give New Life to you and me.
Do you have, friend, Eternal Life, attained only through Jesus Christ?
A life with Christ in which to spend, up in Heaven, that will never end.

Do you have inside a lasting peace, deep within, that will not cease?
A peace beyond our understanding, when our life becomes demanding.
Do you have Eternal peace with God, so not to fear Christ’s Iron Rod?
For God’s Judgment will one day come, upon all who oppose His Son.
Are you under the blood of The Lamb, Who died to redeem every man?
For man’s repentance is God’s desire, to save all men from eternal fire.

Do you know The Savior friend, when life down here comes to an end?
For all things end within this life, however, things go on in Jesus Christ.
Do you have hope beyond this earth, Hope that comes from New Birth?
Your hope is sure in Christ my friend, the moment you are Born Again.
In Jesus Christ will you be found, when we hear the last trumpet sound?
At the moment we’re changed on high, in the simple twinkling of an eye.

Do you have a room prepared for you, one which has an Eternal view?
A room for you is prepared by Christ, for you to enjoy your Eternal Life.
Do you have full assurance friend, that you will see Christ in the end?
If Christ prepares a place for you, He will come again to be with you.
Are you destined for the clouds, when He comes for His Holy crowd?
For He will come to take you there, when Christ meets you in the air.

It Is Finished

“It is finished” as Christ was done, were the words of God’s Own Son.
It was finished and some knew that Christ had died for me and you.
He was born the man Jesus Christ, for He was to be God’s Sacrifice.
Jesus was the name given Him as He’d save His people from their sin.
Christ was the name of God’s Son, as He was The Lord’s Anointed One.

Thinking they were done with Him, the people only added to their sin.
But Christ would not be denied, even though they pierced His side.
They had Him then sealed in a tomb, which only added to their doom.
In the ground as the scripture said, for three days amongst the dead.
But The Lord God was not done, for the grave could not hold His Son.

On the third day to much surprise, The Lord from the tomb would rise.
The stone of the tomb was rolled away, for He was not there to stay.
For the temple that He did raise, was His body to The Father’s praise.
And Jesus did just what He said, as He raised his body from the dead.
He was dead, but is now alive, and He is seated at His Father’s side.

This is the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that for us He became a sacrifice.
On the cross He bore the sins of all to redeem man from Adam’s fall.
Christ tasted death for you and me, so we could live through eternity.
Believe that for you Christ died and you my friend will be justified.
And confess your Lord is Jesus Christ and you will have Eternal Life.

The Healing Wind

In this healing wind
all our scars of the
past are blown away,
torn away and scattered
around the earth,
and all our demons are
lifted and carried off
in the vortex of
the wind funnel
till there is nothing
left but these rocks
and the ocean,
and our hearts feel
at peace once more,
as our eyes
scan the distant horizon,
where the ocean
meets the night sky,
where the moon
hangs low, casting
its tremulous glow
upon the water.

In this healing wind
all our thoughts
are scattered in the
silent multitude of stars
that shine upon us
like new blossoms…
yes, I know we've been
through a lot
all these years,
and the loneliness
and the pain
seemed unbearable
at times,
but you don't have
to say a thing to me
right now,
because the healing wind
turned it all around,
gave us new hope
and new purpose
and new sails-
and breathing in
this cool night air,
we feel renewed
and alive again,
as we return
to what we always
knew as our home,
resting upon these
rocks, as the ocean
waves gently baptize
our feet.

Am I Dying or Already Dead

I happened to overhear,
Which, I realize now,
Should not have happened

I overhead
My treating doctor
Talking to his doctor friend
He was briefing my case to him
Probably, expecting his friend
To be of some professional help

From what all transpired
I came to know that
My days were just counted
Ten days at the maximum
I would survive with this
Life threatening
Cancer giant occupying me

The knowledge of the nearing death
Turned out to be more painful
Than all the pains
I suffered from my in-house cancer
Killing me each second that passes
And from all the lessons
I was exposed to all these years

I did not move for sometime
From where I overheard
This ultimate reality

I managed to reach my bed
And started making this note

I would request the world
Not to cry over this departing soul
I would request my dear ones
Not to shed tears over this senseless creature
I would request my friends and colleagues
Not to make a note of this event
It would be nice
If I am forgotten
Like a passing tree, or a lighting pole
Or, for that matter
Anything that goes out of sight
As you travel past in a train

I am afraid something is pervading me
I understand that to be an eternal pain
Occupying the entire body
Signaling the separation of body and soul

This pain I know will relieve me
Of all pains associated with me

I think continuing this note
Will be difficult, why, impossible any further
I finish this with the wonder
Am I dying or already dead

Narcissistic Solitaire

in front of the mirror
you go naked and rub
your body with the oil
from your bare hands

the room is humiliated
and the mirror is angry

the act is done and
finished and you become

the mirror and you are
as empty as the big
room and then you
sleep as it is the only
possible place where
peace can reside.

Boats A Bobbing

I’m sitting on the jetty, feet dangling o’er the sea,
A view that’s so breathtaking, that it’s enveloped me.
The sunlight on the water, with facets shining bright.
I could sit forever absorbing this wondrous sight.

The little boats a bobbing out on the restless brine,
Their sails of rainbow colours are beautiful and fine.
Wind is gently blowing as they navigate to shore,
At one with the ocean, such adventuring in store.

I’m standing on the headland watching seagulls streak by,
There’s squawking and diving as they pulsate through the sky.
Always so hungry, forever searching for their meal,
No matter who’s food tempts them, they are ready to steal.

I’m resting on a boulder on the top of the cliffs.
Two rowing boats are proceeding I think they are skiffs.
Chasing to beat each other with their single man crew,
There is so much to observe, Ah! here comes a canoe.

A two-masted vessel, fore-and-aft rigged, a smart ketch
Sails into harbour seen above yellow broom and vetch.
Vibrant in its paintwork, she gives a scene oh so grand,
With all her keen crew, she is very expertly manned.

I’m on my way home now but it has been a great day.
The sea, sand and salty wind, with warm sun and cool spray.
My sleek hair is unkempt and my book I have not read,
As comings and goings kept me occupied instead.

for Cita A.

perhaps you are a boat without an anchor.
we need anchors
because we are like boats
sailing in an ocean
sometimes the storms are bigger
and our sails are too small for the winds
and our rudders
are broken,

what i see is that you do not have any
and so i feel pity for you Cita
as you imagine walkie-talkies beside your ears
and talk about the machine of destruction
that is boring in your head like
grills,

that machine that bores holes in your skull
and yet everyone hears nothing
sees no blood

they cannot see what you insists
those that stole your locks and open your doors
and stole your furniture and computers
and spurn you

what education you have in the university
now you throw away
like a cheap earring

Cita, this poem asks you
see God.
