The Need For Emptiness
a door's way
to welcome you is
simply to open
itself
the living room
outdoes it
but letting you
breathe
more space
the common
denominator of this
entertainment
equation is still
the capacity
to contain
emptiness

Yeah, I think the common denominator - and this is probably going to sound like Acting 101 - but the common denominator is belief in the character in the moment.

Open
Do not hide in the living room
amidst the familiar and well thumbed
Open the door
Feel the air trace its fingers
along your face and hands
Open your hands
Breathe in
Open your eyes
Breathe out your
mark upon the day

I Have This Big Mirror In My Living Room
i have this big mirror in my living room
i guess you must have liked it
yesterday you bought one and true to its purpose
your living room like mine has become a wide space
more fantasies, more time seeping in, more ideas perhaps,
more rivers in the mind, more skies, more emptiness,
but let me not talk about it for now.
i like it to be broken. Let me tell you in my next poem.

In the Letting Go
In the letting go,
A freedom unknown
Becomes as welcomed
As fresh falling snow...
On Pine trees green.
In the letting go,
A release becomes sacred
To experience,
As an unpolluted breeze...
To breathe a feeding done easily.
In the letting go,
One knows a life has arrived to be explored.
In the letting go...
An unexpected flow,
Connects.
To all.
And all that is there to be shared,
Comes.
To the one letting go to let life be as it is,
To live as wished!
Without restricted limits inflicted.
In the letting go,
So much that isn't within reach...
Instantly becomes available to touch.
In the letting go,
There is such a thing called living.

Thats Entertainment
Police car with a screaming siren
Pneumatic drill on ripped-up concrete
Baby wails, a stray dog howling
Brakes screech as lamp light blinking
Thats entertainment
Thats entertainment
Smash of glass and a rumble of boots
Electric train and a ripped up phone booth
A hot day and a sticky black tarmac
A hot day and Im wishing I was far away
Thats entertainment
Thats entertainment
La, la, la
La, la, la
Days of speed and a slow time mondays
Wake up at 6 am and think about your holidays
Open window and breathe in petrol
Cold flat with damp on the walls
Yes, thats entertainment
Thats entertainment
La, la, la
La, la, la
La, la, la
La, la, la
Two lovers kissing over screams of midnight
Two lovers miss the tranquility of solitude
Read grafitti of slash-seat affairs
Splattered walls and a kick in the balls
Is all that you get - in the name of entertainment
La, la, la
La, la, la ...

Simply put, I believe we should not seek the lowest common denominator when it comes to wilderness and saddle a wilderness designation with exceptions, exclusions, and exemptions.

The Allegory Of The Cycle Of Doors
and so there is this door that appears before you
and you open it
and then when you enter the room
another door appears
this is the cycle of doors that keep on appearing and you
keep on opening
but the room still appears from a distance
always distant
from your eager feet to enter
you say to enter the room i must please the door
but the room moves away just the same
and the door tells you
to keep the room
you have to burn it and when the room is burned
the door finally disappears
and then both the door and the room shall tell you
now be happy
for you now have a house of your own

Lucky Me
(toby keith/ron reynolds)
I can leave my dirty laundry lyin anywhere
If I dont make my bed its alright, no one ever goes in there
I can fall asleep on the couch and leave the tv on
cause Ive got the whole place to myself
Now that all her things are gone
Lucky me, Ive got room to breathe
With her out of my way, Im not crowded anymore
And finally, Ive got all the space I need to walk the floor
Lucky me
Now Ive got last weeks dishes still piled up in the sink
And lots of time here on my hands to sit around and think
Im better off in this house alone, its a blessing in disguise
And her leavin came along, I know
Right at the perfect time
Lucky me, Ive got room to breathe
With her out of my way, Im not crowded anymore
And finally, Ive got all the space I need to walk the floor
Lucky me
That sure was a close call, someone could have been hurt
Yeah, she could be missin me but thats not what Ive heard and
Lucky me, Ive got room to breathe
With her out of my way, Im not crowded anymore
And finally, Ive got all the space I need to walk the floor
Lucky me
Lucky me, Ive got all the space I need
Lucky me, Ive got room to breathe
Lucky me

you are telling me about a stone
who refuses to admit anyone simply
because it has no door, no room and no space
for someone like you,
you who does not even know what knowing someone
really means. you ask the stone for a space and it says no
and you tell the stone that it has a space
where the leaf and a dropp of water live
the stone says no, and you insist because of the state you are in
you are dying and you need a place
perhaps a burial space where you may finally lay yourself
to rest, but the stone still says no, telling you that it has
no feelings that for centuries it has always been its nature
stony, stony silence, stony stares, unfeeling, that in its
house of stone, there exists no word for sympathy
that it is simply living up to the demands of its true nature
its tradition, and you finally understand, yet somehow you
tell the stone about what it does not know
inside it there is this leaf with dew, there is dropp of water
coming from the rain, that until now it has not fully known,
that inside its stony silence, there is still this song
that it has a heart that it keeps denying.

Daily Life
Life must provide a space of liberty, of silence, in which possibilities are allowed to surface and new choices become manifest. Thomas Merton
What I wear is pants. What I do is live. How I pray is breathe. Thomas Merton
Waking each morning, ex-
pelled from my space,
somebody
else has taken my place!
So rising to join in the common fray
compelled through the breathless, common day;
I stop,
and I choose,
and I breathe,
and I pray.

Free yourself...And Breathe
Think from that place.
Be in that space.
Make it yours...
And breathe.
Free all your doubts.
Toss your troubles out.
Open your windows...
Sniff the air,
And breathe.
Procrastinate.
It's not too late...
To free yourself.
Free yourself...
And breathe.
Think from that place.
Be in that space.
Make it yours...
And breathe.
Procrastinate.
It's not too late...
To free yourself.
Be yourself...
And breathe.
Be yourself...
Free yourself...
And breathe.
Free yourself...
And breathe.
It's not too late.
Be in that space.
Make it yours...
And breathe.
It's not too late.
Be in that space.
Make it yours...
And breathe.
Procrastinate.
Is not your fate.
Free yourself...
And breathe.
Procrastinate.
Is not your fate.
Free yourself...
And breathe.
Free yourself...
And breathe.
Free yourself...
And breathe.
Free yourself...
And breathe.

And So Darkness Closes On In Me
and so when darkness closes in on me
like a blanket covering my eyes with the softness of its blackness
i simply go with the flow of its coldness
as i close my eyes and sleep and if dreams come
i welcome them and learn to accept whatever color it shows
whatever movement it makes with its images and streams
and sequences like a movie in my mind
i too welcome the new day
waking up with the freshness of a blank mind
emptying and not working out what should come inside myself
i let the air take its seat and fill the space
i breathe what is only necessary for the day
i let out what wants to go into the open field
i hold no one and i obstruct no one
this is the free trade going on inside myself
i just want to grow and let all my cells go where they want to
i let my nerves celebrate and feast on all its impulses
this is the feast of myself the resurrection of the soul
where is heaven? where is hell? I tell all my senses
Go find them all. There shall be no restraints. No visas.
No hold-departures. There is always this welcome sign
Hanging on every door.
Yes, all the entrances and exits are open now.
This is life. There is no room for any regret.

Room To Breathe
You ain't done nothin' wrong but I think we need to talk
You might be the one but before we go too far
I need a little time to figure out my heart
Who could ask for more but I need to know for sure
I haven't been myself from the minute that we met
I ran into your world and kind of walked out on myself
All those dreams I had I began to second guess or you
One too many questions until I know the truth
I need room to breathe
A little time to think
To make sure I don't lose me
I need room to breathe
I know you're not to blame and I swear there's no one new
This has to do with me and not a thing to do with you
So don't try to understand
You don't have a thing to prove to me
If you really love me just give me what I need
Room to breathe
A little time to think
To make sure I don't lose me
I need room to breathe
Please don't take this wrong
And please don't turn away
I just don't want to look back
One day and say
I need room to breathe
A little time to think
To make sure I don't lose me
I need room to breathe
Room to breathe

The Room
(chris waters/tom shapiro)
When I pull in the drive where your car used to be
It doesnt hurt me like it used to
I can walk through the door, and not wonder anymore
Where you are, like I used to
I can go down the hall, see the pictures on the wall
And not miss you
But I just cant bring myself to go into..
The room
Where I spent every night with you
And the light of the moon
Came through the window
And I held you
We were so close
And its just too soon
For me to go into the room
Id remember too much if I opened that door
And Im not sure if I could face it
The beds emptiness would remind me youre with
Someone else, and I couldnt take it
So, I sleep on the couch in our living room now
Since our love died
cause Im still not ready yet to go inside...
The room
Where I spent every night with you
And the light of the moon
Came through the window
And I held you
We were so close
And its just too soon
For me to go into the room
Where the light of the moon
Came through the window
And I held you
We were so close
And its just too soon
For me to go into the room

I Dont Wanna Lose
Music by m. garino/g.colla, lyrics by s.piovesan/g.randone
Mixed by:mauro di deco
Space house of black house of lights
House of noise youve never heard
Full of vacuum and crowded of shadows
Space like a watch with no time
Like a book without an end
An equation and thousands solutions
I dont wanna lose my belief now ,
That space
Somewhere has a limit beyond
What I see and what I breathe
I live
I dont wanna lose my belief now
That space
Somewhere has an end and beyond
Who knows what we
Will find out there
Somewhere
Space house of black house of lights
House of noise youve never heard
Full of vacuum and crowded of shadows
Space like a watch with no time
Like a book without an end
An equation and thousands

Welcome To The Door Of Freedom
this is the door of freedom
you just got in
i have a room beyond this room
no one has entered yet
between this door and my room
is a space
this is where some pieces of my are left
but soon they will be taken back
to be kept inside my palms
to be hidden once again from you
when you get in
you will be introduced to the ritual of knowing
what you do not know
what you cannot know
what shall be hidden forever from you
and you shall be a little bit
disappointed
but you must insist
you have to repeat your name many times
you will sort out the letters
there are onions and chilies
they will make you cry
and then you will wish upon another door
this time it is your door
towards your own room
you will doubt about breathing
about windows and exits
and then you begin to ask
if all these are worth it
you decide.

Entertainment
Theres been another assassination
T.v. cameras moving in.
To shoot the bloodstains on the pavement
And get them on the news at ten.
Will he live or will he die, before we go on the air?
Yes, the networks are all there, in the name of
Entertainment.
Superstar psycho, from a killer to a hero,
An overnight sensation on the lips of all the nation
Is he mad or is he sane? it makes for good conversation
I call it suffering and pain, but they call it entertainment
Sex violence murder and rape. (entertainment entertainment)
Thats what you came for, thats what you pay for.
Entertainment, entertainment.
They call it entertainment
Inform us, educate us with your media machine
(call it entertainment)
Tell me what to dream
(call it entertainment)
You pay your money, what do you get?
Entertainment.
Real life for entertainment,
Cheapens my reality,
So that hollywood can make it into another b movie
The vultures get the rating and the people get the thrills
But the victims always pay, I guess they always will.
Sex violence murder and rape (entertainment entertainment)
Thats what you want, thats what they need,
Thats what you came for, thats what your paying for.
They call it entertainment (call it entertainment)
Inform us, educate us with your media machine,
(call it entertainment)
Tell me what to dream
(call it entertainment)
You pay your money, what do you get?
Entertainment, entertainment.
