The Man Who Dipped His Fingers In Salt And Lick Them All
he dips his fingers in
salt and licks them all
people look at him with
all surprise
he is weird and they do not
like him
He is detestable
they say
he does this everyday
all the days of the week
all the weeks of months
all the months of those years
the people shut him away
they close their doors
they vomit when they see him
they look at him with contempt
they throw him away from
their cities
they ban him from all
other countries
he keeps the salt all to himself
he eats them and drinks them all
he has become sick
very sick like one rusty nail
he died and people did not
mourn for him
good riddance so to say
the city dances in jubilation
the world turns into a fourth of july
if they only knew him
well that i know him to be
they should have known how
he disliked salt
how all his senses revolt
against this instinct
of having his fingers dip
in salt
and of his having his tongue
lick
and how his mouth eats
all the stuff that
destroys his body
how every night he vomits
how his system fails
how he knew that with all these
he is actually killing himself
people do not know
there are things that happen
without his control
there are times when one
has no choice
but to dip the fingers in salt
no matter how bad it turns out to be
until he dies
society denies instincts
conceals the existence of vampires and gnomes and
parasites and ghouls
society keeps its own beautiful face
hides the scars and the disease
who wants to eat salt all his life?
who wants to rust like a nail and die like a brown dust on the ground?
who wants to be a scrap of iron and melt in salt?
who wants to be a robot? a man of hay?
nobody. i repeat nobody.
He never liked it himself.
Society has not asked
it never cares

Ode to Salt
This salt
in the salt cellar
I once saw in the salt mines.
I know
you won't
believe me
but
it sings
salt sings, the skin
of the salt mines
sings
with a mouth smothered
by the earth.
I shivered in those
solitudes
when I heard
the voice
of
the salt
in the desert.
Near Antofagasta
the nitrous
pampa
resounds:
a
broken
v oice,
a mournful
song.
In its caves
the salt moans, mountain
of buried light,
translucent cathedral,
crystal of the sea, oblivion
of the waves.
And then on every table
in the world,
salt,
we see your piquant
powder
sprinkling
vital light
upon
our food.
Preserver
of the ancient
holds of ships,
discoverer
on
the high seas,
earliest
sailor
of the unknown, shifting
byways of the foam.
Dust of the sea, in you
the tongue receives a kiss
from ocean night:
taste imparts to every seasoned
dish your ocean essence;
the smallest,
miniature
wave from the saltcellar
reveals to us
more than domestic whiteness;
in it, we taste finitude.

Salt
Early this morning
his mother asked his father
for some money
to buy salt.
But,
his father refused
and hit his mother
who did so much talking.
The boy
went out the house
and headed
to the market.
There,
he begged the salt vendors
for a little salt
but the vendors only told him,
'go home boy, and get some money! '
Now the boy
is running
with a bag of salt in his arms
and the people are screaming
THIEF! THIEF! THIEF!

The guys and I dig a city called salt lake

And the way the kids talk so cool

And the number one radio station
Makes the town really swing yeah

Theres a park near the city, yeah
All the kids dig the lagoon now

And rides and well be flyin there soon now

Evergreen State
'No, little Johnny, raindrops are really just
the tears of sweet angels, who cry. Cry
because of sins that people commit,
and that is why, my smart and curious boy,
we get rain so often in Washington State'.
'Oh, so we have a lot of sinners here, then
and that is why it is called the Evergreen State? '
'Well, yes. I have lived here all my life,
all my friends live here and, as to being sinners,
I think it is more because of the tears, salty they are,
they bring down moisture and salt, my boy,
that, in the end, creates the salt of the earth,
and your grandpa is part of that. No sinner.
So, when the angels cry, you can watch the grass grow.'
'But grandpa, that means the more I sin the greener
and faster the grass grows, that feeds our cows,
makes more milk, steaks for the BBQ and, of course,
more salt of the earth. Right, old man, or not? '
'Smart boy you are, if I do say so myself. Smart.
So, how are you doing in school, behaving yourself? '
'Salt of the earth, grandpa, salt of the earth.'

Hello Jerry
So verry Merry
I poor salt on your face
Whats that? Your screaming?
You cant run, I nailed your eyes to the floor
Flee my little mollusk
Here comes the salt!
The evil evil evil evil salt!
It will burn your impurites and slugness
Like you LOVES IT!

The Mermaid (Quatern Poetry)
In the Red Sea, you were my lonely king of salt,
You were my beautiful statue made of basalt.
On the sea shore, dominating the yellow land,
You were my statue representing the king of sand.
Your body was looking as it was tattooed with smalt.
In the Red Sea, you were my lonely king of salt.
At the water high waves' mobile horizon
I was a mermaid, caught in your love's prison.
I swam to the surface, sometimes, to see you.
You were on your ship, at the dawn's purplish blue.
In the Red Sea, you were my lonely king of salt.
I had your beautiful statue, made of basalt.
I paid to get rid off my tail and to become a woman,
Because I wanted you to be my lover and my man.
You disappeared and your wreck was anchored in Galt,
In the Red Sea, you’re my lonely king of salt.

The Salt Of The Earth
what are we
without the salt
we seem not to
understand
we were asking
what are we
when the sweetness
is gone
is it really the salt
that really matters
or is it the bitterness
that wakes us up
and lets us know
what this life is all
about

the salt i cannot see
makes the food taste
so flavourable
God i cannot see
makes this life so much

Ch 01 Manner of Kings Story 19
It is related that, whilst some game was being roasted for Nushirvan the just during a hunting party, no salt could be found. Accordingly a boy was sent to an adjoining village to bring some. Nushirvan said: "Pay for the salt lest it should become a custom and the village be ruined." Having been asked what harm could arise from such a trifling demand, Nushirvan replied: "The foundation of oppression was small in the world but whoever came augmented it so that it reached its present magnitude."
If the king eats one apple from the garden of a subject
His slaves will pull him up the tree from the roots.
For five eggs which the sultan allows to be taken by force
The people belonging to his army will put a thousand fowls on the spit.
A tyrant does not remain in the world
But the curse on him abides for ever.
The point is that nobody likes having salt rubbed into their wounds, even if it is the salt of the earth.

Salt
Alive you are removed, what sees just to lurk - The way to obey, never to the dark - Skinned is my teeth, bit to the grit, grid to the byte - Whatever you say, princess - Whatever you want, princess of the damned - Argue with the ocean, win only you can - Waves which breaks, do so on the shore - Not inside your mind or soul - Never the talk, never to your back - Salt on your food, salt to your back - Salt by the steps to your door, prevents demons from the attack.

S.O.S. (Too Bad)
stagecoach lady, hourglass body
making things glow in the night
well, she would if she could, and she'd be good if she would only
tell her lover she be out tonight
'cause I'm a bat
a lonely school boy
and I'm a rat
and it's too bad, can't get me none of that!
Salt Lake City, salt-lickin' bitties
*** stinkin' of gin
well my daddy was hard, his face was pretty scarred
from kickin' ass and playin' poker to win
it's too bad
and it's too bad
can't get me none of that!
*** lady
my mama Cady *
chivalry was born at her feet
well she shoulda thought twice
when pa showed his dice
*** put my daddy to sleep
It's too bad
Lord, it's too bad!

A Question
whatever detests upon yourself
cannot just be simply removed by you
and you say, this is not me
there is no denial about your dual nature
both evil and good
mixed in one glass like salt and water
if you remove one from the other
you shall not be the same again
not your taste, not you anymore
and you ask: what is real? the salt alone?

The Salt In My Tears
Ive tried and Ive tried for so long to please you
Gave you every bit of my time
Gave you everything I could possibly give you
My body, my heart, and my mind
I turned my family and good friends against me
Listened to my own heart break
And I did it all in the name of love
Gave up myself for your sake
And you never cared about me
You only hurt and deceive
I realize after all of these years
That you aint worth the salt in my tears
Youve cheated, youve lied and youve hurt me
Over and over again
You promised to love me forever
But forever reached a bitter sweet end
Been blinded by love to your actions
But at last I can see my way clear
Ive cried and Ive tried, and Ive tried and Ive cried
But you, youve never shed one tear
cause you never cared about me
You only hurt and deceive
I realize after all of these years
That you aint worth the salt in my tears
You aint worth, you aint worth the salt in my tears
Treated like dirt, Im hurt, I aint hangin round here
Youve left me crying, left me crying for years
But you aint worth the salt in my tears
You never cared about me
You only hurt and decieve
I realize after all of these years
That you aint worth the salt in my tears
No you aint worth the salt in my tears
