The Jar In The Garden
it is earthen
and bound to the emptiness of the air
that fills it,
it contains nothing but to you
it is important,
more important even to the beauty
of my words,
it easily breaks to the pressures of the weathers
on a quick change it may perish
despite this
you claim to love even more its natural fragility
to me this jar had always been a worthless form
a useless shape
yet its curve and its flattened base
have become symbols of your persistence
it is hollow it is plain earth
solidified by an artist
by the gentleness of its hands
by the cruel tests of fire
and by the silence of its years
your love is like it and you are asking me
if it is time for me to forget you
for us to part ways for i have loved the clouds more
the way they float the way they turn blue and then fade away

The Egg
the egg
is never a circle
we were made to
believe it
that way
like the way they
twist the shape of
our earth once
the egg at first
was a tear
solidified by
the persistence of time
stretched a bit
it is elongated now shaped
as an oblong
like the truth
stretched to a tip
transparent against the light
fragile
and if not handled with
caution
it breaks and scatters
the yolk yellow as the
moon at night
stares at you
on a wasted
silence.

The Great Void
as i grope for words,
i let go my hold for something so important
as love, and something more important as lust,
i let go off these two, as i grope for words
to give you something more important than love or sex
or even politics,
i grope for something so important.
i look for it, and then seemingly it is gone.
and now i still wonder, what was it? was it a white moth?
or a black butterfly?
was it the void in me? you see, let me tell you frankly,
never in my life has love or sex once ever
fill me,
and so,
i try something more fulfilling than that:
not love not sex
not lust not even
tenderness
but the emptiness
which we have everyday
the one that i worship
the one that reminds me
of
God.

Empty Now
you are telling me that what i did was so hurting
it was you who was bombarding me with a hundred words
per minute
as i was
sitting on the rocking chair facing the sea where this time the wind keeps on
rushing
on my
face
i assure you i was listening to every word you are saying because i have told you once and i am telling you again and again i love you and i will always love you till
the end
of time
and you still keep bombarding me with all those words that you were hurt by my telling you i love you i love you i love you yet there is something untrue
you did
not kiss
me yes
you for
got the
kiss
the real reason why you said i love you is because i asked you to tell me and to repeat the words that i missed hearing after ten years of this marriage
you are
cruel
in the
silence
in between
the words
demanded.
it is the emptiness of your words that is killing me it is this emptiness that
is telling the truth this emptiness between us so huge so wide i cannot
anymore
reach you
you have
shut me
out from
your full
ness from
your wall
words.

What Is Said
How could I ever tell you how important what you say
can be
that the words of any man in a day
can affect a life, millions, or even me
our words have so much power
so do not cower
and do not shy away
do not hold back what you want to say
because your words affect a lifetime
speak your mind
all shall be fine
do not fear rejection for the reward is sublime
to save life or cause a turn
to help the world, or save one destined to burn
but forget not that words destroy and create
break down and perpetuate
the power of words and their force of love
the power of words and their capacity for sadistic destruction
forget not that you hold inside this death and life
the power to create argument and strife
or peace and tranquility
remember, remember dear child that each word can kill
each word can fill
with love and joy
or malice and contempt
so don't attempt
to downplay their importance
and play the fool
because its those words that are a part of you
its those words that yours my child
now use them wisely, say what must be said
for with all my years of experience i have learned that what's most important
sometimes...
is simply
What's said

Love To Be Loved
[aaaaahi, byeeee]
So, you know how people are
When its all gone much too far
The way their minds are made
Still, theres something you should know
That I could not let show
That fear of letting go
And in this moment, I need to be needed
With this darkness all around me, I like to be liked
In this emptiness and fear, I want to be wanted
cause I love to be loved
I love to be loved [x2]
Yes, I love to be loved
I cry the way that babies cry
The way they cant deny
The way they feel
Words, they climb all over you
til they uncover you
From where you hide
And in this moment, I need to be needed
When my self-esteem is sinking, I like to be liked
In this emptiness and fear,
I want to be wanted
cause I love to be loved
I love to be loved [x2]
Oh I love to be loved
This old familiar craving
Ive been here before, this way of behaving
Dont know who the hell Im saving anymore
Let it pass let it go let it leave
From the deepest place I grieve
This time I believe
And I let go [x2]
I can let go of it
Though it takes all the strength in me
And all the world can see
Im losing such a central part of me
I can let go of it
You know I mean it
You know that I mean it
I recognize how much Ive lost
But I cannot face the cost
cause I love to be loved
Yes I love to be loved
I love to be loved
[x3]
I love to be loved
I love to be loved
Yes I love to be loved

Eternal Prayer
This is my eternal prayer with god I do share
All my life I have searched for love
And prayed to you up above.
Love seems to take a turn, and the passion
In my heart does burn.
I see the beauties that you have created
Yet with my dream you have hesitated.
Is it that something special is coming my way?
Oh dear lord- to you I pray.
So many years have gone by- and as I see
Other lovers- I do sigh.
The passion in my heart is a eternal fire
As I seek someone to join this fire.
I feel like I’m a star up in the sky
Everyone can see the beauty, but it’s
Beyond their reach, as I search
For eternal loves peace.
Will I be that star in the sky, or can I be
Like mother earth, that everyone can see
My beauty and smell my fragrance
And touch the gentleness of my heart
And from their hands I will not part.
As the plants need water to live
I have so much love to give.
Let me be the water that touches their heart
So that it may grow, and from me they will know.
This is my eternal prayer that with the world I will share.

Take This Longing
Many men have loved the bells
You fastened to the rein,
And everyone who wanted you
They found what they will always want again.
Your beauty lost to you yourself
Just as it was lost to them.
Oh take this longing from my tongue,
Whatever useless things these hands have done.
Let me see your beauty broken down
Like you would do for one you love.
Your body like a searchlight
My poverty revealed,
I would like to try your charity
Until you cry, now you must try my greed.
And everything depends upon
How near you sleep to me
Just take this longing from my tongue
All the lonely things my hands have done.
Let me see your beauty broken down
Like you would do for one your love.
Hungry as an archway
Through which the troops have passed,
I stand in ruins behind you,
With your winter clothes, your broken sandal straps.
I love to see you naked over there
Especially from the back.
Oh take this longing from my tongue,
All the useless things my hands have done,
Untie for me your hired blue gown,
Like you would do for one that you love.
Youre faithful to the better man,
Im afraid that he left.
So let me judge your love affair
In this very room where I have sentenced
Mine to death.
Ill even wear these old laurel leaves
That hes shaken from his head.
Just take this longing from my tongue,
All the useless things my hands have done,
Let me see your beauty broken down,
Like you would do for one you love.
Like you would do for one you love.

Hollow Man
Emptiness consuming me
Head in hands, I can hardly speak
looking for solitude, Lost in humanity
True knowledge leads to suffering
A constant quest an endless dream
Searching for inner peace, hidden so deep in me
Don't wanna be a hollow man
Ain't gonna be the hollow man
Don't wanna be a hollow man
Ain't gonna be the hollow man
Sadness comes knocking constantly
Filling up my eyes, for all to see
Peace will come some day, I pray that it finds a way
Darkness caressing my mind and soul
My spirits rejecting, I'm feeling whole
Emptiness goes away, fills with the light of day
Don't wanna be a hollow man
Ain't gonna be the hollow man
Don't wanna be a hollow man
Ain't gonna be the hollow man
I rise up like the pheonix from the ashes of an older way
With wisdom gained, I turn away, I turned away
Hollow man, find yourself some other Plan
Don't wanna be a hollow man Ain't gonna be the hollow man
Don't wanna be a hollow man
Ain't gonna be the hollow man

Alexandria Egypt.
Alexandria egypt your beauty is present in all seasons
I tell you why you are beautiful, here are the reasons:
Your beauty extends into the heavens,
it goes on forever and never lessens.
Even when the clouds heighten
you are here and the world brightens.
You are like a fruit that constantly ripens
your beauty continues to grow no mater what happens.
My fondness for you constantly deepens
because every time I visit you my heart weaken.
You make everything else appear hollow
your beauty and seashores they follow and follow.
You shine so bright you cast your own shadow
a beauty that others would love to borrow.
But try as they might your beauty they will never catch
because something like you they could never match.
Your beauty seems to increase with every breathe
it tests the limits that all imaginations can stretch.
Your beauty is so vast it can't be concealed
there is no hiding it your beauty is always revealed.
The power of your beauty is the world's greatest gift
the heaviest boulder it could easily lift.
Alexandria you are perfect and i for one love you
And for me, all has changed the moment visited you.
Heaven on Earth I was not aware
Alexandria you are crafted with such care.
You are the answer to my prayer
If they or who asks about you
i shall say you have something very rare
with so much beauty, and beauty to spare

A no price tag
Love does not mean infatuation
It is immoral to have its continuation
It has no price tag or valuation
May vary from time and situation
Love is not means to be impressed
Never to desired or pressed
Pulses may send signals
That is indication of spring's arrival
Love is apparent
It can never be indifferent
It can be felt even if you remain as true friend
It may endure more till the end
General expectation is broad smile
Some invitation and company for a while
Exchange of few words and proposal for date
A constant fear in mind for not to reach late
A beautiful face to hunt the mind
Always eager to go near and find
Some kind words and full assurance
The quick nod and clearance at once
This is how it has been viewed
No in depth feeling is reviewed
It is taken for granted as sexual course
It is bound to collapse later on of course
No one may try to budge from their stand
At one stage they may try to get on as friend
The reality may take them very far
There will be pen sky without star
All feeling to vent but no one to hear
Anguish and pain silently to bear
No futility is seen in shedding the tears
The days and weeks may pass with years
The cruel blow may be sustained
The sturdy silence may also be maintained
The deep scar may not go away easily
The rest of the life may not be spend easily
We tend to forget the sanctity of bond
We may be sincere and also be fond
That is not enough to last long
Some other factors may try to prove wrong
The lucky may be those who succeed
It may make them happy with their need
The lady luck might have smiled on both
The happiness was bound to come hence forth
As the time pass on and seasons change
The nature may come up automatically with age
New words may be printed on blank page
There will marked improvement with no stoppage
It is sentimental attachment with no reservation
Anybody can notice it with some reservation
It can never be a trap for bad intention
The message is well read for retention
Love is to be loved and admired
It can never be purchased or hired
It is gospel message for all to follow
Accept it with grace and go little slow

The Real Truth
Blue eyes, black skies and clouds filled with pain. disguise the emptiness, the disdain. late calls, long halls with words no one hears. reveals the loneliness and the years. like going backward
A revolving door. I dont know which ways out anymore. I cant run from the real truth. and not be living a lie. you cant hide from the fate chasing you. and watch it, from somebody elses eyes. cold hearts, cruel thoughts can destroy the faith. just ask the singer who hell from grace. but things change and strange days can turn a point of view. just time till everyone gets their due. I may not save the world but Ill save myself. cant depend on somebody else.

The Course of Life, Time, And Events and The Process of Change
Time or fate may separate friends, lovers,
But friendship or love that's true will ever
Thenceforth continue to live forever,
True love conquers the odd with its power.
As time passes by, things change with the time,
Every moment, hour, day, month, and year,
All things have their turn to change with the time,
Life, time, and events change with the years.
Everyone, everything, have a time and day,
A time to change, end, begin a new day,
Change is life, the course of life everyday,
All things change, and we change with them all days.
Only the Eternal one is constant,
All things in the universe, inconstant,
But despite it all, love is important,
The world may change, but true love is constant.

Put To A Test
you put my love
on top
of this crucible
you put it
on fire
you blaze like
a fire in the forest.
i turn to red
porcelain
it is hot as hell
(as though
i was once there)
you form me
in the shape of
your love
i turn to fluid
and then after this
crucible test
i turn solid again.
there is not much change
inside, though
i feel stronger.
break me for i am yours.

Id Rather Be In Love
Words and music by michelle branch
I cannot help it,
I couldnt stop it if I tried,
The same old heart beat fills the emptiness I have inside,
And Ive heard that you cant fight love so I wont complain
Cause why would I stop the fire that keeps me going on.
Cause when theres you,
I feel whole,
And theres no better feeling in the world,
But without you,
Im alone,
And Id rather be in love,
With you.
Turn out the lights now,
To see is to believe,
I just want you near me,
I just want you here with me,
And Id give up everything only for you,
Its the least that I could do.
Cause when theres you,
I feel whole,
And theres no better feeling in the world,
But without you,
Im alone,
And Id rather be in love,
Yes Id rather be in love,
With you.
And I feel you holding me.
Why are we afraid to be in love,
To be loved,
I cant explain it,
I know its tough, to be loved.
And I feel you holding me.
Cause when theres you,
I feel whole,
And theres no better feeling in the world,
But without you,
Im alone,
And Id rather be in love,
Oh Id rather be in love,
Yes Id rather be in love,
With you.
And I feel you holding me.

The Police of The World
All wars of the U.S. are a police actions of some sort.
Lets face it we are the police of the world.
We always claim its for peace.
We always justify it with human atrocities.
Even genocide does not give us the right
We are not the negotiators.
But the enforcers of ideas as our own.
We claim it for the better.
But who has actually been reading this letter.
Defined by what in between the black lines.
What is the hidden agenda is it this time.
Is it oil?
Is it a base, of a prime location.
Are they the makers of our salvation.
Let me make proclamation.
If it doesn't involve us why are we their.
As a saying I heard once.
Why invade those who will eventually destroy themselves.
And that what we are doing destroying ourselves.
With billions of dollars spent in wars that we can't end, or we should be in.
But that's more important then kids education.
But that's more important then putting food on the table.
But that's more important then bringing ourselves out of a depression.
But that's more important then providing decent health care.
The one budget that will not be cut, is the one that should.
By the greed of man, we have become of the damned.

The Lost Generation by Jonathan Reed
I am part of a lost generation
and I refuse to believe that
I can change the world
I realize this may be a shock but
“Happiness comes from within.”
is a lie, and
“Money will make me happy.”
So in 30 years I will tell my children
they are not the most important thing in my life
My employer will know that
I have my priorities straight because
work
is more important than
family
I tell you this
Once upon a time
Families stayed together
but this will not be true in my era
This is a quick fix society
Experts tell me
30 years from now, I will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of my divorce
I do not concede that
I will live in a country of my own making
In the future
Environmental destruction will be the norm
No longer can it be said that
My peers and I care about this earth
It will be evident that
My generation is apathetic and lethargic
It is foolish to presume that
There is hope.
And all of this will come true unless we choose to reverse it.
Now read it again in reverse.
Which generation do you belong in?

At A Loss On What To Say
clumsy words
holding nothing but the emptiness
of air
molecules unseen moving
in random directions
shall i identify myself with
just one
and claim that i am lost
in such space of
invisible ions
i am always at a loss
what shall i say?
about these feelings
unrequited
i want to touch your lips
my hands are bound
i want to say i feel love
my tongue is tied
like a sun i tower above you
so helpless
i fade in the dark
there are no stars in the skies

Prayer for friend
As the cruel hands approached,
pushed hard to take life and touched,
No more could do the would be wife,
the life hung in balance to the edge of knife,
I would not be accessible for some,
some more days or weeks to come,
Pray for my beloved who is under care, ,
yet he to enter but don’t know when and where?
What more I ask form HIM?
Spare him for rest of my life,
I ask not but make simple pray
life is to be lived by any other way,
Moved her words so deep in mind,
Blood ran high but could not find.
What else more can be done,
prayer to God and prayers alone,
Add my days and years
Prayed earnestly in his ears,
I have lived the best,
he is still under test,
Miracle happen as prayer do play,
after all, we have to perish in clay,
but not before the destined time,
Pardon the sin and committed crime,
’More good news’ as I learnt in few days,
recovering fast in many ways,
happy days back and life will be fast,
Prayer worked first and not at the last,
Smiling days are back again,
Heat waves gone after heavy rain,
dark clouds disappear and sky look plain,
Happiness and gloom are part of the chain

This Is The Game We Play
we have letters,
we spread them in our thoughts
and we form words, sometimes we like these words
to be not understood that so easily, to make a little suspense
of our game of words,
and we utter some words sometimes, so sweet sounding
our saliva pours from our mouths,
honey tasting words, a la black forest cakes,
we go beyond eating and licking and savoring,
we form words of love,
(setting aside for a while the evident
lust)
we play this game too well
no one gets hurt
plain sheets of white linen
we spread our naked bodies
we put words
using our tongues as hands
caressing hands
this is just a game of words
why do you palpitate that much?

Bound to happen
If it is bound to happen
No one can stop it then
It may be seen as distinct possibility
Yet that may take shape in tranquility
Let it to some other hands
Unseen may become reality at the end
It has to come and reside in loving heart
This is beauty and feeling at the start
To make love is divine art
It is felt by heart as sensitive part
It may try to bridge the gap
Very good start and positive step
If desert can make flowers boom
Why there can’t be change with room
Anything can be made possible with dream
Only you need blessing Him
It happens only to those who really love
Always like being loved and happily drove
Nothing seems any hurdle in their way
The happiness and joy may always stay
