The Indoor Poet Is Sick
it would have been more
truthful, or
earthly, well grounded
candid, or
exciting if he had taken his
way out
of the door to the garden
and once again see the trees
leaves falling
birds pecking on some
grains bees
taking some pollen
here he would be an
spectator
a story teller
a fact gatherer
nature lover
restive and
feasting on what the
earth has to offer
here he has no waste
for words
feelings fly
thoughts on some
unseen wings
things change
door hinges are rusting
gives the noise when
you try to open it
like creaking bones
and so he stays in his room
focuses on
imagination
more often sleeps
and relies on dreams
which are nothing
but the same emotions
revealing to him
who he really is
psychedelic and more
like psychiatric sessions
with no one but
he himself as shrink
and patient rolled into
one
he follows his heart
into the road maps of his
poetry in adversity
metaphors of
necessity

The fairy at the bottom of my Garden
There's a fairy at the bottom of my garden
she flits in and out of my flowers
I can sit on the step here
and watch her
she stays there for hours and hours
Her wings and so golden and flimsy
Her little body a few inches in size
but her heart is her biggest attraction
and that isn't any surprise
For the fairy at the bottom of my garden
spends her day saving the bees
for they keep on taking the pollen
but dropping it each time they sneeze
I bet you didn't know that the buzzers
had allergies from pollen, sad hey?
the sound that you thought was just buzzing
are bee's that are sneezing away
Now this fairy works hard as she
gathers the droplets of sweet
pollen that fall
diving and swooping and gathering up
and rolling it into a ball
She sings an enchanting little melody
that sounds like a gentle wind chime
Oh how I would love to have a fairy
to pick up after me all the time

The Crooked Ways Of The Tiny Birds 2
feelings are sometimes like the tiny birds
of summer feeding on a few grains
on the wide yards of the garden where the grasses
spread far
some do feel being smothered by the indifference of other
tiny birds
separated by the distance of the long lines of
parallel electric poles
imagine the image of tiny birds sitting in there
looking for pecking
one notices the vastness of the sky
the unfinished climb of the hill
the vanishing paths of trails long untrue
feelings like tiny birds fly away
but there is no reason to be afraid on the
facts of nonreciprocating birds
ah, the world is wide and too interesting
to be ignored
on a few grains one feeds upon
and having satisfied sits lonelier on the line of an electric pole

Somethings Wrong
Somethings wrong, that restless feelings been preying on your mind
Road maps in a well cracked ceiling the signs arent hard to find
Now Im not saying that youve been mistreated
No ones hurt you - nothings wrong
A moments rest was all you needed
So pack your things and kindly move along
Like dust in the wind youre gone forever
Youre wind-blown leaves youre a change in the weather
Just a town like any other a second brand new start
A third or fourth hand wife or lover no, you wont break her heart
Take some bacon go on and leave your watch chain
She wont count on nothing more
Wrap your hands around that small change
And tiptoe barefoot out the door
Yes, somethings wrong that restless feelings been preying on my mind
When things get bad Im bound to pack my bags and just
Leave them all behind

God's Gift - Nature...........
When the beautiful morning comes
The rays of rising sun kiss her
When the garden of nature open its heart
The garden of flowers hugs her to welcome
When the trees dance to tune of wind
The birds singing to the nature's choir
When the gentleness of nature is filled pleasure
Then the earth get wet with weather
When the nature forgets its vastness
Then the God shows her how big her place on earth
Let us thank God for his creation and given us
eyes to see lovely gift - Nature

Totally Nude
Big and Im bad
And I want you to know
I hand around
Where the grass is greener
Totally naked, baby
Totally nude
cause if I want to
Whos gonna stop me?
Im absolutely free
Living in the trees
The birdies and the bees
cause Im a nature boy
Locked up inside
You cant tell me where its at
Open up, open up, open the door
Rocks and trees and physical culture
Some days you hide
I guess you wonder where you are
Nature boy, nature man, take me along
We got a life thats undiscovered
We threw it all away
Throw it all away
Rolling every way
Its irresponsible
So civilized
I guess you wonder where you are
Nature boy, nature man, take me along
Deep in the woods were undiscovered
Im a little fish and youre the river
Living in a boat thats underwater
We can tip, tip, tip it over
You can push, push, make it better now
Wake your daddy up
Its a quarter to five
Our little boat
Has lost its rudder
Dive to the bottom
And we never come up
A polka party
For bob and martha
Im absolutely free
Living in the trees
The birdies and the bees
cause Im a nature boy
Think what you like
This is really where its at
Open up, open up, open the door
We dont need clothes and we dont need money
So civilized
I guess you wonder where you are
Nature boy, nature man, take me along
Deep in the woods were undiscovered

I Am Rhythm
When I write I feel me moved like emotions of the heart
Ligaments infused as a pen, when I walk on this chart
I am rhythm I potray the movement of dance
Poetry being music rhythm being ink and a pen
I've found dance partners in these metaphors
Similies being our choreographer, can't wait to see what they have instore
As I move to words on this paper following a routine to a show
Avalanche of rhymes break dance like snow
I am rhythm
I deliver these words like cha cha
Sensual sultry movement coming together like a salsa
Keeping you intoxicated as you long for the warmth of a lover
I keep you moved like the beats of drum
Colourful inuendos, knowing spring has sprung
Harmonical expression through the strings of a guitar
Being able to open any door with the keys of a keyboard
I am rhythm but in essence I'm poetry
and as I become poetry
I redefine rhythm

Seasons Turn
He lived summer internally.
It fed and warmed him
On the cold gray days of winter.
He turned to green the trees
That stood denuded of leaves.
Imagined the gardens bare earth
Filled with Floras beauty.
The bright paint of nature
To touch leaf and flower.
In his minds eye flighty butterflies
Spread out their jewelled wings;
Uninhibited to catch of suns warmth.
He envisaged the drowsy drone of bees
Taking pollen to deposit in their hive.
Recalled to memory the birds
Whose symphony woke him at dawn.
This sustained him as he waited
For the first finger of warmth.
And springs cavalry arrived.

Doors
A door may open
Or it may close
It may be wooden
Or steel, I suppose.
A door keeps us in
Or may lock us out,
A door may be silent
Or with noise, may shout.
Doors are for safety,
Our protection -
May rot in antiquity
Lose purpose and mission.
A door like chance,
Can open a dream.
A door like romance,
Can cause some steam.
But there is one door
With its key - never part,
Freely open, evermore -
The door of your heart!

You Stepped Into My Dreams
(ian hunter)
(transcribed by colin ford)
That's it baby, take one last look
We gotta go catch a plane
Then you won't die, and i won't die
But we won't ever be the same
Oh i can feel a mood coming down on me
Such a good thing disappears
I can sense the loss creeping up on us
And it's deeper than any tears i've known
You stepped into my dreams
You opened up the door
You stepped into my dreams
I want you back for more
You stepped into my dreams tonight
In the shadows of a major story (?)
In the morning we was gone
Won't you blow a kiss to me baby
We both gotta be moving on
Sometimes you see a lover and she's made for love
But you let that lover slip by
You believe and yet she's so hard to get
And you never know the reasons why
She stepped into your dreams
She opened up your door
She stepped into your dreams
You want her so much more
She stepped into your dreams tonight yeah
Oh when you're doing what you're doing
What do you think of me babe
There ain't much else to say
In another time, in another place
Things might have turned out okay
I can feel a darkness i can never conceal
Sometimes i get just a little insane
I can feel emotions like the mighty oceans
They're driving me again, and i know
You stepped into my dreams
You opened up the door
You stepped into my dreams
I want you back for more
You stepped into my dreams
And i don't know what to do
I'm so scared of losing you.

Let My Love Open The Door
Pete Townshend) (various dates)
The people keep repeatin'
The children follow along
Everybody keeps from changin'
And you could say you did enough...
Let my love open your door... (3x)
To your heart...
Let my love open the door (2x)
When everything feels all over
Everybody seems unkind
I'll give you a four-leaf clover
Take all worries out of your mind
Let my love open your door... (3x)
To your heart...
Let my love open the door...
To your heart...
Let my love open the door...
Have the only key to your heart...
I can stop you from fallin' apart
Tried to say in my own way...
Somebody give me the chance to say...
Let my love open your door...
It's all I'm lookin' for
And erase yourself from misery
There's only one thing that's gonna set you free...
When trouble really falls you...
Don't let it tie you down
Love can cure your problems
You're so lucky I'm around
Let my love open your door... (3x)
To your heart...
Let my love open the door...
To your heart...
Let my love open the door... (5x)
Oh...to your heart...
Oh...baby, I know I said, I said, I said, I said, I said, I said...
...I said, I said, I said, I said, I said, I said...
Oh...na na na...let my love open the door...
Let my love... (2x

Paper Door
I step through the open door
upon a blank sheet of paper.
It's a room to dream into
but, it is often cold, and so damn empty.
It's cleansed and illuminated
by the presence of a holy melancholy.
Hasten the words come, and
take the loneliness away.
The pen is a train
passing through this small paper-room.
The thoughts are tracks
it lays down.
Picking up passengers of the night
it moves ever along.
The riders so briefly talk and sing
with such sweet stories to tell.
Soon all the traveller's will have left the station
and the room again, becomes Void.
I take my leave...
and softly close the door behind me.
- so many see the facts of life all about them,
yet are blind to the beautiful metaphors within everything -

Sonnet: Poetry’s Forever
Earth’s poetry can never die with ease,
As long as sun rises and sets each day;
For it affords music and mental peace,
And born are poets world-o’er in God’s way.
When Mother Nature inspires a heart,
Evoking feelings turned to words by art,
The readers feel the same right from the start;
The magic-beauty of poetry’s part.
And poetry is about many things,
And helps man live exemplary a life;
And immense joy and peace, it also brings,
And helps the human beings combat strife.
So, poetry will live on earth until,
Men climb the earthly-hill by Heaven’s Will!

Stuck With Mixed Emotions
You've got me,
Locked.
You've got me hinged.
You've got my heart to open up.
But you keep yours,
Hidden within.
I am locked.
And magnetized.
I feel as if a need is clinging,
To never let this feeling end.
You've got me locked.
You've got me hinged.
You've got my heart to open up.
But...
Your door stays closed within.
What am I to do?
You've got me stuck with mixed emotions.
What am I to do?
I can't saddle up and leave.
What am I to do?
You've got me stuck with mixed emotions.
And,
I'd rather not be sure...
Than be sure I've been delusioned.

The Poem Is A Vent
now you must
learn what poetry is
alright, you must
agree that it gives
sometimes a sense
of pleasure
where emotions begin
to play in the dark
in the park
it becomes the hallmark
of your freedom
you must have noticed
how the words chosen
are tilted in your favor
because now you are
the master of this
game of truth
and purity
you must know by now
that poetry somehow
is a escape
there are exits in
its structure where
you design your
freedom
your tunnel from that
prison wall of
closed structures
without windows without
light
this is the sense of
selfishness away
from the crowd
away from those
that humiliate you
from those that
knows nothing of you
except your madness
your introversion into the
silent (yet colorful world)
of metaphors
the frogs there sing
the rain does not stop
falling
the rainbows come
bridging that gap
between your
illusion and your
reality
you must know
by now
what all these means
in the most simple term
this is your
kit for survival
a box of words
the most private room
of your
sexy metaphors
your women and your
dreams
your treasures and
your island
your house without
a roof
because all night long
you always want
to see the stars

The Door Between Two Worlds
this the door between our two worlds
it divides the inside and the outside
the light and the darkness
the choice is yours
there is no lock
there is only the hinge that holds the door to its place
when you open it
there is no sound
and when you close it
there is only this silence of the air sealed inside our minds
my heart does not sing inside
it is muted by the darkness that moment your gentle hands
close the door
it is patient, the mind
the incompatibilities of the things outside us
are too inviting
they tempt us to step outside and promise us
the magical wonders of freedom
we feel so light like our joys like cottons and clouds
they are no different from our wishes
i am in the middle of this door between us
& you look at me like i am the last man of this earth
your heart opens with eyes too careful not to know
what i do next is the suspense of this uncertainty
your eyes close, my heart bleeds
my hands wilt, your mind wanders like a lost wind
the door closes finally
walling us in
it locks upon itself and
the world sleeps soundly curling its feet on the beds of the
heavens

Back Door Man
Im every man here in disguise
Lie cheat and give you a spoonful of lies
Im a high toned mother with an axe to grind
Come a little closer honey, see what you find
Your worst nightmares all rolled in one
Ill find you sure as the rising sun
Dont make a noise its understood
cos this aint no story like red riding hood
Im your back door man, Im your back door man oh yeah
Im your back door man, come on babe, and Ill take you where I can
Systematically I choose at will
But with you theres an obscene thrill
Its funny now how you cant say no
Its the smell of fear that you love so
Im your back door man, Im your back door man, oh yeah,
Im your back door man baby, just take it where you can
This first kiss has a touch of ice
Now hows that feel, it aint so nice
Blackhearted mamma Ive something new
Oh lord look what Ive turned into

Im your back door man, Im your back door man
Im your back door man, Im your back door man

A Few Advices To A Nephew Studying The Science Of Psychology
you say you want noise
so much noise in fact
in the middle of the night
to bury the boredom reigning in yourself.
i wonder if you have consulted the gods and goddesses of poertry.
if you have gone at the entrance of its temples.
one does not need noise to expunge boredom.
one needs only silence.
you tell me i am different. Sort of telling me you are different
and you belong to the wonders of your youth.
i am telling you, you are wrong my dear nephew.
you have taken so much noise, and you are lost.
you have disregarded the voice of your heart
and the furies will take the revenge.
the noise will take you like the Pied Piper of Hamelin
to the sea with all the rats and there
they will drown with you.
Take your time. Have fun with so much noise.
When this fails, and i know it will, please come back
and drink the lovely potion of silence.
This is the beginning
of poetry.
Some things are so real, in this poetic imagination.
As she once puts it: an imaginary garden with real toads in them.

Death is a door
Death is only an old door
Set in a garden wall;
On gentle hinges it gives, at dusk
When the thrushes call.
Along the linted are green leaves,
Beyond the light lies still;
Very willing and weary feet
Go over that sill.
There is nothing to trouble any heart;
Nothing to hurt at all.
Death is only a quiet door
In an old wall

The Allegory Of The Cycle Of Doors
and so there is this door that appears before you
and you open it
and then when you enter the room
another door appears
this is the cycle of doors that keep on appearing and you
keep on opening
but the room still appears from a distance
always distant
from your eager feet to enter
you say to enter the room i must please the door
but the room moves away just the same
and the door tells you
to keep the room
you have to burn it and when the room is burned
the door finally disappears
and then both the door and the room shall tell you
now be happy
for you now have a house of your own
