The Finest Glass
expect later on
that the finest glass
shall be broken
that 's how things
are meant to be
the good die young
the finest shall be taken

The Finest Gift
verse one
She can shop all over town, turn the gift
Shops upside down
Finding something for her man with everything
But it's right behind her eyes and no matter what she buys
She'll always be the finest gift she brings
Chorus
Every year it's never missed, should be at
The top of every list
It can never be outdone,it's the perfect
Gift for everyone
Verse two
It's in everything you'll see scattered
Underneath our tree
You can hear it in the carols that we sing
It's the heart of love's design and it
Appreciates with time
And she'll always be the finest gift she brings
(repeat chorus)
Verse three
Now it's not in any store and she could
Never give me more
Then her promise of the finest gift she brings
I know her love's the finest gift she brings

Finest Worksong
The time to rise has been engaged
Youre better best to rearrange
Im talking here to me alone
I listen to the finest worksong
Your finest hour
Another chance has been engaged
To throw thoreau and rearrange
You are following this time
I beg you not beg to rhyme (blow your horn)
Your finest hour (blow your horn)
Take your instinct by the reins
Your better best to rearrange
What we want and what we need
Has been confused been confused (blow your horn)
Your finest hour (blow your horn)
(repeat 3rd verse)

We draft mostly high school kids and we have one of the finest, if not the finest, player development programs and coaching staffs and we teach our players the right way to play. We also have a game plan in scouting, and there are certain types of players that we look for.
The finest kind of friendship is between people who expect a great deal of each other but never ask it.

Finest Hour
How does it feel out on the ice?
You speak to the crowd but nobody hears
It's not a dream and you are no prize
And you're not alone come in from the fear
Gonna take it back
Take back the life that you wanna lead
Been under quiet attack
But now it's time for you and me
Gonna take it back
You've got to fight for what you believe
We're gonna make this stand
The finest hour that we see
When did our choice become erased?
Where is the violence in this crowd?
Now that our voice has been replaced
with a silence that screams out loud
Gonna take it back
Take back the life that you wanna lead
Been under quiet attack
But now it's time for you and me
Gonna take it back
You've got to fight for what you believe
We're gonna make this stand
The finest hour that we see
Ooh ooh ooh ooh ooh
Gonna take it back
Take back the life that you wanna lead
Been under quiet attack
But now it's time for you and me
Gonna take it back
You've got to fight for what you believe
We're gonna make this stand
The finest hour that we see
yeah... The finest hour that we see
We're gonna make this stand
The Finest Hour that we see
Yeah -eah - eah -eah -eah

Out Of My Hands
on the window ledge I don't feel safe,
stay looking down you
it's out of my hands for now
it's out of my hands for now
I can't just walk away
it'd be nice to walk away
but I don't feel safe
get away, all the way up here
it's out of my hands for now
it's out of my hands for now
oh it is down from here
down from here
start to feel insane, betrayed
out on my window ledge
and now our finest hour arrives,
see the pig dressed in his finest fine
and all the believers stand behind him and smile
and the day lights up with fire
let me in
let me in
I stopped feeling crazed, betrayed
out on my window ledge
and now our finest hour arrives,
see the pig dressed in his finest fine
and all the believers stand behind him and smile
watch the day lights up in fire
lookin' down from here
it's out of my hands for now
on my window ledge
it's out of my hands for now
so let me in
let me in

Fortunes
Every morning a woman comes and hand picks her rubbish -
Gems discarded by the elite of the city.
She takes them to an interesting shop;
There she exchanges them for a meal ticket (money)
She chooses her meal as if fine combing a menu in elegant Paris,
In the finest eatery, along the finest strip.
Her meal is that of which they (the elite)
would never consider to chew.
Her enjoyment in consuming such a meal is one which
They can never realise.

Radio Ga Ga
Words and music by roger taylor
Radio Id sit alone and watch your light
My only friend through teenage nights
And evrything I had to know
I heard it on my radio
You gave them all those old time stars
Through wars of worlds - invaded by mars
You made em laugh - you made em cry
You made us feel like we could fly
Radio
So dont become some background noise
A backdrop for the girls and boys
Who just dont know or just dont care
And just complain when youre not there
You had your time you had the power
Youve yet to have your finest hour
Radio
All we hear is radio ga ga
Radio goo goo
Radio ga ga
All we hear is radio ga ga
Radio blah blah
Radio whats new?
Radio someone still loves you
We watch the shows - we watch the stars
On videos for hours and hours
We hardly need to use our ears
How music changes through the years
Lets hope you never leave old friend
Like all good things on you we depend
So stick around cos we might miss you
When we grow tired of all this visual
You had your time you had the power
Youve yet to have your finest hour
Radio
All we hear is radio ga ga
Radio goo goo
Radio ga ga
All we hear is radio ga ga
Radio goo goo
Radio ga ga
All we hear is radio ga ga
Radio blah blah
Radio whats new?
Someone still loves you
Radio ga ga
Radio ga ga
Radio ga ga
Radio
You had your time you had the power
Youve yet to have your finest hour

Feasts
Feasts cause a dry tongue to be wet,
To have a haircut then and there cancels us;
This royal event concentrates on them,
To mince the coinage is clearly wonderful.
My dears and ladies, the royal house evicts
Those in love with God, and this lenient act
Of this day has considerable theory,
Theories are oddly remembered today.
My notes suggest a laughter of many voices,
Horses train me after shooting at them,
Royalty shines abundantly, like a mince
Of the finest meat, the finest wine has been served.
Let queens and kings be subjected to us all,
And many lords and ladies confidently explore,
To explore is greater in good than marriage,
For both of the laws commit themselves to magic.

Baby - Get It On (feat. Ike Turner)
You don't know girl how you blow my mind
I said now
baby won't you hear what I say
I want your lovin' in the worst darn way so come on
Baby let's get it on!
Well you're the finest girl I ever found in my life
I wanna stick to you like white on white so come on
Baby let's get it on
Now I said now:
Baby
baby
baby
get it on!
You know that I've been waiting too doggone long
so come on
Baby let's get it on!
Now you don't want me enough for me to turn me on
Come on
baby
what you're waitin' on? Come on
Baby
baby
baby
get it on!
Now you're the finest girl just as fine as can be
I want ev'ry joy for you and me so come on
Baby let's get it on.
Now I said now ...

Old Souls
Some people are young but very old
Life changes in a moments time
Pain and grief create ancient wisdom
Many struggle for hope and sunshine
Can you see past the smiling mask?
Hearts broken trying to find joy
Lonely people talking to themselves
A mother dies leaving her young boy
So sick of all this trite competition
Obsessed with beauty and youth
How cruel to make a girl feel homely
Love is the only real healing truth
Kindness is the finest of virtues
Broken vows and dreams crushed
Cancer wards and old folks homes
Everyone seems in such a rush
Wars and rumors of war
The ten year old going on fifty
Look at all the disenfranchised
All the fine print, gangs in cities
Veterans sleeping under bridges
Broken teeth and no health care
Can you see it on their faces?
The plight of an age of despair
Look deep in the eyes of old souls

To My Youngest Son
I wish I could write a finest piece
A poem that will rise and be the best
The one will endure in time like a total bliss
So happiness is mine when I come to rest
But unluckily I don’t have the finest words
And to the brightest idea my brain couldn’t work
So this would be forever a simple dream
My strongest foe I could never ever win
In that poem I would like to say
That a sweetest smile on your face
Causes so much joy in my life
Just like a sun glimpsing through a cloud
Brings sunshine to a flower bud
And in the next stanza I will state
That really I love your little hands
‘Cause they wipe away my tears and fears
Just like a summer breeze to an old tree
Blows away its driest leaves
And before my poem ends
I will tell the world about your tiny voice
How it soothes my sorrows and pain
Just like an abundant rain
Quenches even the desert soil
And in my last stanza I will convey
That your tender kisses on my cheek
Reminds me the fulfillment of my dream
Just like this poem I would like to end
Even this is not so fine, its thought is what I meant

Officer Down
Good-bye to you Officer Rodney Holder...
Good-bye to one of our finest-most brave-
Good-bye to all of the protection you afforded us...
Your service shall not pass away with the grave;
Fifty years young you only were-
All of this town and other Texas cities came for your view...
City citizens lined the streets of your funeral procession...
Good-bye Rodney-our town-will surely miss you;
No more to see your smiling face...
No more to feel quite as secure...
No more will you Grace our city streets...
You were the very best-that is for sure;
May 3,2010
On the Loss and Funeral Of Rodney Holder-age 50
Aman of honor for 28 years.
Leaves behind a wife, a daughter and young son.
And this whole town.
