The Filthy Rich Woman Flirting In The Escalator
she met him
at the escalator
they did not talk
but their eyes
were laughing
taunting
for more of this
mutual understanding
there is no
need for elaboration
for what both
people know
there was a certain
intimacy in their
silence
not unusual for this
filth
this way of loving
only in the mind
with a stranger
she looked down
not at the floor
somewhere between
the ceiling and
his shoes
between his legs
i supposed
there is a short
lapse
and they cannot
forget it
that crisp crunch
a steady thump
sweet stud
a thud.

Short Peoople
Short People got no reason
Short People got no reason
Short People got no reason
To live
They got little hands
And little eyes
And they walk around
Tellin' great big lies
They got little noses
And tiny little teeth
They wear platform shoes
On their nasty little fett
Well I don't want no Short People
Don't want no Short People
Don't want no Short People
Round here
Short People are just the same
As you and I
(A Fool Such As I)
All men are brothers
Until the day they die
(It's A Wonderful World)
Short People got nobody
Short People got nobody
Short People got nobody
To love
They got little baby legs
And they stand so low
You got to pick 'em up
Just to say hello
They got little cars
That got beep, beep, beep
They got little voices
Goin' peep, peep, peep
They got grubby little fingers
And dirty little minds
They're gonna get you every time
Well, I don't want no Short People
Don't want no Short People

Stranger In A Strange Land
Stranger, stranger in a stange land.
He looked at me as one who should run.
We asked him to smile for a photograph.
Waited a while to see if we could make him laugh.
So did I seek for a cigarette.
His smiling face I cant forget.
It looked like it crossed the street.
He said, Ill wait here.
I wish you were here.
I wish you were here.
Stranger, stranger in a strange land.
He look at me like I was the one who should run.
I watched as he watched us get back on the bus.
I watched there it was.
The way it was there.
He was with us.
And I really dont mind sleeping on the floor.
I cant sleep after what I saw.
I wrote this letter to tell you,
The way I feel.
I wish you were here.
To see what I could see, and hear.
I wish you were here.

Credit Crunch Punch
I had a hunch about the credit crunch
Now it is making an unusual loud scrunch
Take a look at the whole financial bunch
Stock brokers make money on just a keypunch
Millionaires overspend on exquisite lunches
Those in poverty get the credit crunch punch
While many in this world cannot afford brunch
I had a hunch about the credit crunch
Now it is making an unusual loud scrunch
With Governments pumping billions into bank
As Banks claim to have an empty money tank
Everyone moans about previous inadequate loans
But the inevitable can no longer be postponed
I had a hunch about the credit crunch
Now it is making an unusual loud scrunch
As we all have to face the credit crunch punch

Ill Be Right Here Loving You
(jeffrey steele/t.w. hale)
Politicians, collections
Unionism, opposition
Activism, communism
Skepticism, new vision, down with the old tradition
Vandalism, terrorism
Amunision, demolision
Darwonism, religion
A lot of people making caastrophoic predictions
But Ill be right here loving you
Come what may I know this much is true
As long as this worlds spinning like its supposed to do
Ill be right here loving you
Computerized, organised
Downsize, enterprise
Idolize, criticize
Demoralize, sympathize, talk sweet and tellin lies
Economics, electronics
Atonic, supersonic
Saving whales, crowed jails
America on-line, email
But Ill be right here loving you
Come what may I know this much is true
As long as this worlds spinning like its supposed to do
Ill be right here loving you
Ecology, technology
Energy, psycology
Evolution, revolution
Everybodys trying to find a new solution
But Ill be right here loving you
Come what may I know this much is true
As long as this worlds spinning like its supposed to do
Ill be right here loving you
As long as this worlds spinning like its supposed to do
Ill be right here loving you

Four Poetic Points For The Neighborhood To Ponder
i
it is that particular moment
when your tongue tastes the skin of the wind
and it shall tell you too about its long
and unfinished journey
it is this intimacy with the hands of the wind
the talk that both of you do more often under the moon
ii
it is when you sit on the floor
your back rests on the wall
it is this intimacy of self-talking upon itself
when the wall begins to respond
when the floor finally makes its comments
iii
the neighborhood begins to doubt you
but you have no doubt about yourself or the floor's sincerity
or the door's indulgence
or the intimacy with the wind and the wall
which offers you a buffer between emptiness and
chaos
eventually everything has come
smooth and natural
well folded like the waves
well covered like the mist on the tree tops
iv
what you have to serve to all these inquisitors
is an empty glass upon an imaginary tray
which they still have to figure out
why you are serving them the perfect drops of silence
for all their thirsts.

Unusually Unusual
(mark mcguinn)
She introduced herself as amy, said call me caroline for short
I just moved in three doors down so I wouldnt be the girl next door
And I knew the shoes she wasnt wearing fit her just right
She said, hey, man did you know that somebody left your grass out in the yard all night?
Shes unusually unusual
Absolutely unpredictable
Shes so different and thats whats wonderful
Shes unusually unusual
And thats beautiful to me
She had a tattoo above her ankle of a trident submarine
She said it symbolizes awesome powers hidden deep within our dreams
And her diamond eyes, different in color, held me captive in their light
And she said hey, man did you know we used to be brothers in some past life?
Shes unusually unusual
Absolutely unpredictable
Shes so different and thats whats wonderful
Shes unusually unusual
And thats beautiful to me
Some people may think shes strange, a different cup of tea
But she just does it for me
Shes unusually unusual
Absolutely unpredictable
Shes so different and thats whats wonderful
Shes unusually unusual
And thats beautiful to me

Communication leads to community, that is, to understanding, intimacy and mutual valuing.
In Poetry (again And Again)
you talk about doors
where there are no windows
you imagine things exist
when all they do is pass by
you try to hold unto permanence
when there is none actually
it is not at all emotions
mind you, there is more to all of these
not just words, flesh, perhaps i am just
entertaining the illusions of the flesh
or light, or even the grass that live
on my head, as though i have
hair, in this game, there is no fixed
directions, simply because
in the first place, you do not really know
where to go, or what to do
with your life, it is just sitting down, talking
to the conscience, playing with its
thoughts, and questioning its rules,
there could be war, between you and
another you, and they say, here comes
another schizophrenic trying to spell
out the difference between a spill and
a pill, but there are images on the ceiling
lizards laughing, and a light bulb that
gets steady with its own
dim light, you imagine chairs as people
and the walls as curtains, and you
as the clown, or the magician trying to
do a trick, to please time, to stop hurting
other people, to love this self, that
lays like a carpet on the floor, there is
warmth, there is a flow of sentences, and
cut flowers, and a glass of cold water,
chunks of iced feelings, and sweet
sour fishy tales, and here comes another
fool trying to figure out, what are these lines,
maps, or pathways, or eddies of air,
or jars without wine, mugs without coffee,
words without meanings, just that.

Driver's Side
Someone's laughing
They must have caught a glimpse of you
They sound so happy
So what am I supposed to do?
No one's blameless
you're having way too much fun here
They're suicidal
And no one seems to really care
If I could be a part of this one
You could have the driver's side and
If I could be just half what you've been
My life would be complete and I'd be
the same old person but in your shoes and I'd
Know the people that you know too
Who's that laughing
the fuss they cause is everywhere
It's inspirational
they've got to know we're out there

My Best Teacher
she is my best teacher
my love teacher
she taught i to kiss
taught i how to miss.
She ushered me into the circle of love
where my head spinned of her glory
she moulded my fragile heart
with precision she ignited it.
Thump thump thump!
It goes in her presence
i feel it
i see it in her eyes
the gleam the twinkle
speak of a sincere love
i guess am understanding
this lesson of love.

Last Day
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
I fear that stranger from afar
He looks and wanders
Face all covered with scars.
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
I fear that stranger from afar
He whispers chills into the air
He freezes my soul with a single stare.
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
I fear that stranger from afar
Blood red shot eyes look at me
The fear in my brown one's he can see.
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
I fear that stranger from afar
Step by step he limps his way
Thump by thump my heart fears today was its last day
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
I fear that stranger from afar
I turn around and start to run from that stare
But when I turn he stands right there.
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
I fear that stranger from afar
He smiles exposing rotting yellow teeth and horrible breath
I know that this is a sign of Deah.
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
I fear that stranger from afar
I close my eyes and pray
'Oh God, I wish I'd lived today as if it were my Last Day.'

One Mans Ceiling Is Another Mans Floor
Words & music by paul simon
Theres been some hard feelings here
About some words that were said
Been some hard feelings here
And what is more
Theres been a bloody purple nose
And some bloody purple clothes
That were messing up the lobby floor
Its just apartment house rules
So all you partment fools
Remember: one mans ceiling is another mans floor!
One mans ceiling is another mans floor
Theres been some strange goins on
And some folks have come and gone
Like the elevator man dont work no more
I heard a racket in the hall
And I thought I heard a call
But I never opened up my door
Its just apartment house sense
Its like apartment rents
Remember: one mans ceiling is another mans floor!
One mans ceiling is another mans floor!
Theres an alley
In the back of my building
Where some people congregate in shame
I was walking with my dog
And the night was black with smog
When I thought I heard somebody
Call my name
Ah-- remember: one mans ceiling is another mans floor!
One mans ceiling is another mans floor!

Won't You Come Home
Well i was out a drinkin'
With a couple of friends of mine
When the bartender handed me the telephone
Says "there's a wife on the line."
I told her i was just a drinkin'
With a couple of buddies i knew
She told me in a few short words
Just a what she wanted me to do
She said "oh won't you come home and talk to a stranger.
Cause you might even make yourself a friend."
She said "won't you come home and talk to a stranger.
It's the only place in days you haven't been."
Well i sat there about an hour
Talkin' with the rest of the guys
When she walked through that front door
She had "get home" in her eyes
She said "you've danced and talked
With every woman in town but me.
And if you'd just come around the house
You might like my company."
She said "oh won't you come home and talk to a stranger.
Cause you might even make yourself a friend."
She said "won't you come home and talk to a stranger.
It's the only place in days you haven't been."
She said "oh won't you come home and talk to a stranger.
Cause you might even make yourself a friend."
She said "won't you come home and talk to a stranger.

Intimacy
Afraid of intimacy.
A heart that has been stung,
Just once...
Becomes more suspicious,
And less naive...
When a stinging from someone loved,
Is untimely done.
Afraid of intimacy.
Very few are ready to commit to this.
Until assured some consistency,
Is readily given...
In the sharing of mutual needs.
Not many will leave themselves open.
Or acknowledge publicly...
A wish for a love uncompared,
Shared in secret privacy.
And one devoted and discreet.
Afraid of intimacy?
Not me!
Whether private in discreet...
Or publicly displayed on crowded streets.
I seek a one on one!
That would suit me perfectly.
But these days that kind of intimacy,
Seems to be antiquated history.
Afraid of intimacy.
Very few are ready to commit to this.
Until assured some consistency,
Is readily given...
In the sharing of mutual needs.
And that would be my philosophy,
Regarding how I feel about intimacy.
An act complete of 'shared' familiarity.
Not something done to walk away from and leave.
That's nothing more than satisfying a convenience.

Lament For Short People (Fun Poem 12)
Even a tall person to a short person,
their problems I can relate,
tall people bump into low hanging doors,
while short people cannot reach shelves too high.
In shops there are no normal shelves,
some are near the ceiling,
while others are inches from the floor.
Normally the good stuff is put on the top shelf,
where you need a pair of stilts to reach.
Therefore, the short person has to jump up and down,
just like a jack in the box,
for anything they want.
Some short people feel intimidated,
by the tall people that they meet.
They should not be,
because size is not the difference,
but its personalities.
Now if they worked together,
they could walk at the same height.
No man is different from another,
no matter what size he is.
So short and tall people of this word,
I have but one word for both of you - unite.

Daddys Song
I got a day without nothing to do
And a do not disturb on my door
I sorta looked for some mess that shed made
Or her sweet little socks on the floor
But all that she left here was too many rooms
And just enough silence to break
And I cant look at her picture right now
Times about all I can take.
Last night I sewed up her toys that were torn
And packed her suitcase again
She looked so sweet as she lay there asleep
Smiling and holding my hand
We didnt talk all the way to the plane
But shes too big now to cry
Then when I kissed her, she held me so tight
I couldnt tell her goodbye.
Chorus:
She said, I wish that we lived together again
It gets so lonesome apart
Im missing somebody all of the time
Daddy, its breaking my heart
Its not so bad out here living alone
Comforts a stranger away
And theres a freedom you find on your own
Thats nearly worth what you pay
Its just a shame she still wants us to be
All that we seemed to before
But we cant blame her for making believe
Something we dont anymore.
Chorus:
She said, I wish that we lived together again
It gets so lonesome apart
Im missing somebody all of the time
Daddy, its breaking my heart

I can't forget
I can't forget your smile
I can't forget your laughing eyes
Your kindness causes me to cry
I ask.
I ask.
I ask myself why
Are you s much apart of my life
Our midnight conversations rang in the back of my mind.
Time after Time
I crave for your company
I cry out at night for your warmth
I can't forget the woman you are.
I can't forget you are my friend
As well as my lover.
I can't forget you waiting outside my J.O.B.
To bring me home
I can't forget your tears
When I was laid off.
I can't forget, I just can't
I can't forget the first time I saw you.
Radiant and full of life/ you are.
Your voice low and sweet,
Eyes glued to mine as we speak
I just can't forget
I can't forget how myself esteem grew
While with you.
I can't forget
The long walks and talks of encouragement
You are...You are...You are!
UN_FOR_GET_TABLE!
You are my life line
You are my door to time
I can't forget
Sinking into your womanhood
I can't forget how you cuddled my manhood
I can't forget
You have shown me un-conditional love
And passon as well as concern
I can't forget
Those things I earned
I cant forget
How you crawled into bed next to me
Slow and easy, full of strength.
Pulling me close to your warm and soft body.
Wrapping your legs around mine
As to never let me go.
I can't forget
Giving me eye to eye contact
As we introduced oursleves once again.
I can't forget
As the moon was reaching it's
Apex(so were we)
My emotions outof control
My body limp, but full.
Your scent seasoning the room
With the after glow of us
I can't forget
I can't forget
I can't forget
I love you
That is always
I can't forget
Every morning I wake to a kiss
As gentle and as strong as the mildst river
I can't forget...You...I can't foget.
