The Discriminated Poet....

she will mistake

stories of its adventures

some capsules for medications
so recommendations

you are not a poet

The Barking Dog Inside Your Mind

it must be noisy
inside your mind
as you complain
about the barking
dog barking all
day long in your
lifetime,

and it must be
also unfair if
as you feel it,
you are always
the wrong tree
being barked
at,

so you are the
tree wronged
and i, this human
being writing
some lines for
a conversation,
shall always be
that barking dog
inside your
mind.

let us talk
let us exchange
places, or let us
settle for a little
compromise,
there is no dog,
and there is no
wrong tree,

onthe very first day
next year
at the very first hour,
let us talk,
as new friends,
let us begin again
as strangers
in a new place
wanting to know
what each street
is named after.

You're Right, I Was Wrong

Should've listened when you said I'd miss you
Should've listened but I could not hear
You said I'd want you back
I said not a chance
Now I can see I was so blind
You're right I was wrong
To ever leave you
I made a mistake
I'm sorry now
You're right I was wrong
To ever let you go
Now I know, now I know
You're right, I was wrong
Couldn't see it when I had you with me
Couldn't see that I had everything
And know I see it clear
And now you're not here
You said someday I'd change my mind
You're right I was wrong
To ever leave you
I made a mistake
I'm sorry now
You're right I was wrong
To ever let you go
Now I know, now I know
You're right, I was wrong
If I could have one more chance to hold you
I would keep you here in my arms
And never let you go
Because now I know
You're right I was wrong
To ever leave you
I made a mistake
I'm sorry now
You're right I was wrong
To ever let you go
Now I know, Baby now I know
You're right, I was wrong
You're right, I was wrong
You're right, I was wrong
You're right, I was wrong

Poet child and grammar

No grammar is needed
In a child's world
In a poet's world
In the world of love
The poet the child
Are living always
And no one can put them
In trouble water
Poet is a free bird
With his words his languages
His dreams are with him
He is sharing his dreams
His thoughts that is
His greatness.

Leave the poet alone
Leave the child alone
Leave them to smile to laugh
To love to live
You can apply them as they are
You can put them on your own way
And in regular form and understand
On your own what they expressed
Beyond vocabulary beyond grammar
And see everything is alright.

Cry Baby

I don't cry
Or forget
I'll cut my picture on your heart
No names
You've got one more game to lose
I was young
I was clean
But now my soul eats me alive
I was kind
Now i'm your first big mistake
Don't leave
What'ya gonna do?
Are you gonna break down and cry?
She sold pain
She sold mine
She sold my secret to the man
She sold lies
And so now i break the word
Don't leave
What'ya gonna do?
Are you gonna break down and cry?
Tear up my picture
Tear up my face
You'll tear up your feelings but the memory's quite safe
Look back in anger
Look back and cry
Look up my number if you want to know why
Don't leave
What'ya gonna do?
Are you gonna break down and cry?
Same need
Same cure
I'll whisper words to ease your shame
Play time
I've got one more trick for you
I don't pray
Wrong man
I don't look for love that i don't need
Wrong place
You've got one more chance to leave

Abandon

I leave you; I leave you with your life,
with your lovers, your adventures and projects,
I leave you without my thoughts, sad and
wounded, without my questions
without my broken answers, but do
not believe as a fact everything, do not
believe never believe, this false abandon,
because I will be there when you least expected,
for example; in an old age maple tree with dark
nodding branches, or in far away galaxies that
shine higher when you are there gazing at them.
I leave you without the memories that lived in our
minds for decades, I leave you, I leave you. But never,
never be assure of all this ridiculous abandon, never
my darling, never because in this abandon I'll always
follow your steps, in anything you might
gaze at so hard that you disappear bringing me
back into your lonely world all over again.

Night Terrors

Dreams so vivid,
leave me alone.....

The white wolves,
eating me to the bone....

the waves that take over my home,
night terror,
leave me alone.

Kicking and screaming as I
turn my back,
the brutal attack,
night terrors...
leave me alone...

no place to be safe,
not even at home....

the baby in water,
the dark,
leave me alone.

I cannot express the hell
I dream.....
night terrors
LEAVE ME ALONE! ! !

(Philosphy Poem) A Fear Of The Possible Future

How do we dictate whether there is a time and place for death?
A guided fate as some would say.
A mistake not of your choosing does that make it wrong?
When a doctor or paramedic fails to keep someone alive.
Do we blame them and say it was not his time?
A definition we try to define.
You unintentionally walk into a bank robbery and get shot.
Is it something you should have not?
Or do we blame the bank robber for doing it that specific day?
Injustices are dealt in every way, but in death I believe it is not to be controlled.
A power of the looking glass, how long would you view it to see all the ways it could be prevented.
But you would get so addicted to it, you would never leave, not to eat, not to sleep, not even to relieve yourself you would die there alone out of fear.
All for the chances of fortunes yet to be seen.
Even if you have a winning lottery ticket it still must be redeemed.
And what if on your way to mailing it you got killed by a falling tree.
Who then is at fault, the mystery of the mysterious.
Sometimes it is just your time.

Butterflies For Breakfast? (Life Poem)

Butterflies before you sit the final exam,
Butterflies before you go for a job interview,
Butterflies before you ask her out on a date,
Butterflies before you kiss her for the first time,
Butterflies before you propose two will be one,
Butterflies before you meet her family,
Butterflies before you see her all in white,
Butterflies before you make that big speech,
Butterflies before you see that your baby is OK,
Butterflies before you get news from the doctor,
Butterflies before you lose your job again,
Butterflies before you face any little crisis,

But -

No butterflies for breakfast.

A Legacy

When I leave you
I will leave you
Things that might not help you
Things that might
Problems that I never solved
Dreams to keep you up at night
As I leave you
I will leave you
Things that stick for ever
Things that slide
Mysteries I swallowed whole
Happiness I couldnt share I will leave you
Promises I never kept I will leave you
Stories that I never told
Principles betrayed or sold
Love I tried to spread too wide I will leave you
Muscles you can grow in hate I will leave you
Summer darkness
Winter light
Young mans shame and
Old mans pride
When I leave you
I will hate to leave you
Thats the heat that grows
With growing old
So never let me leave you
Never let me leave you
Cold

Sonnet: God's Ways are the Best

The things I think are best for me to ask
From God don't seem to work too well for me;
Those things God gives to help my every task
Appear the best always ultimately.

My wisdom and experience don't succeed;
My knowledge fails me often in this world;
My ambitions go wrong because of greed;
In frustration, so often I seem hurled!

God's decisions come late and not my way;
Yet, they surprisingly remain the best;
No human mind can think like God, I say;
With help of God, we can pass any test.

Man's foolishness begins when wisdom parts;
Man's wisdom ends before God's prowess starts!

The Poet as a Feeler of Pain

What makes a poet?

Many have tried to guess.
Is it a voice
like a conduit,
a plainspokenness to grief,
the hairs of the head
dancing on end,
the blood swarming
with the voices
of all those who have died,
will die,
& will also be born?

Is it a catch
in the throat
that awakens the eyes,
is it in the eyes themselves
or is it something
in the heart?

I think it is pain-
an openness to pain,
so that the least leaf
cuts the hand
& the smallest tear
cuts the cheek
like jagged crystal,

so that the world
is a sick infant
& the poet its mother,
praying, crooning, promising
to be good
if only the cure
takes.

There is, of course,
no cure.

Poetry does not cure
the poet
& the poet
does not cure the world.

Usually he catches
the world's diseases
& dies
even before his time.

But against all odds
& all indifference,
another one is born.
The world must have
someone to feel its pain
& speak of it.

The poet is that mouth.

When a compassionate Nurse dress your wounds

Doctor told him' You are all right and discharge in the evening.'
The patient begs; ' I would like to stay one more night Doctor.'
'It's up to you.'
He informed his beloved wife; 'Hey! Darling, Doctor wants to see me tomorrow for an urgent matter, no idea? '
And he waits till the kind Nurse's visit to his cubicle room.
But another one came and she is on leave it seems.
He dreamed in the particular night that he met an accident and admitted to the same hospital.

Catch Up and Let's Mix

After years of sacrifice
And heartbreaking devotion.
Being a care provider...
Giving up possessions for sessions
Of despensing medications
Driving back and forth to keep appointments
Made with this doctor and that doctor.
Having little rest OR sleep for days
Weeks and years.
Trying to hold on the best I could
Because what I had done was not for myself,
But for my parents I love more than nothing else...
And one day you knock on my door,
As if there was a 'final' test to annoy what I had left!

And I thought to myself...
'Where were they when I needed
A helping hand to come my way?
When I needed a friend...
Not one friend could I call upon or depend!
And they knew I was struggling at my wits end!
And now that I'm 'back'...
They believe I want to share my peace with them?
I don't think so! '

I don't want to sound rude...
Or do anything crude.
But I'll share a lesson with you
Like we did as classmates in school!
You ready...?

'Sure! '

Okay.
Repeat after me...YOU

'You'

CAN

'Can'

KISS

'Kiss'

MY

'MY! Hey Are you gonna say,
'You can kiss my ass! ? '

Terrific!
No 'A'...
But you'll go away,
Knowing you 'Got It'
Now if you don't mind...
I have things to do!
You've shown me what you thought,
Years ago when I needed you!
I'm not taking time for this 'Catch-up and let's mix,
Bullshit! '
Turn around!
You've got lots of space.
Enough for you to get out of my face.
I'm going to shut the door...
You will hear a click,
And that's your signal to leave and quick!
C-YA!

I Am No Poet

A poet... oh i am? , says I,
Perhaps it's what you think
Just mixed up words of life I cry
Like someone on the brink

Mere words assembled in a row
From thoughts a few of many
labelled then a poet so
Though none worth but a penny

I speak as though my mind should find
My head in quite a spin
With rhymes and verse a peace I find
That life could ne'er begin

That label sticks and holds me back
A form I have to follow
A fear of literary attack
Can leave my words quite hollow

So cast me not as just a poet
Sense that i am fighting
I'm more than that and you should know it
That's why i keep writing..

Piece Of Love

Time can heal a broken heart
Oh, but does it really ease the mind
I know its hard for you
Though you say that youre not longing for my touch
I know it pains you much
Whats wrong, baby
Whats on your mind
Did you leave a piece of love behind
Whats wrong, baby
What is on your mind
Did you leave a piece of love behind
Night begins with calls from you
Oh, asking me if Im alright
Im really not sure, baby
Im wondering if your love for me has gone away
Like I heard you say
Whats wrong, baby
Whats on your mind
Did you leave a piece of love behind
Whats wrong, baby
What is on your mind
Did you leave a piece of love behind
Its hard to say
Weve made mistakes
But when its not over
Its best to put pride away
Two eyes should not cry the tears of regret
cause two lips wont let go of an age old lovers lie
Oh, baby, oh, oh
Whats wrong, baby
Whats on your mind
Did you leave a piece of love behind
Whats wrong baby
What is on your mind
Did you leave a piece of love behind
Id do anything for you
I will give you all my heart
Did you leave a piece of love behind
Oh, did you leave your love behind

Happy Doctors’ Day,2008

All doctors are not demi-gods;
No doctor is miraculous;
All doctors are human beings,
Who help the sick and try to cure.

But doctors deal with human lives;
The profession’s noblest of all;
The Healer is Almighty God;
The doctor is His instrument.

The world is rife with ailments new;
The doctor strives his best to cure;
The doctor lessens suffering;
The miracles are done by God.

Yet, newer therapies have come;
The future for patients is bright;
Let people be more health-aware,
And live lives longer happily.

‘A Happy Doctors’ Day, ’08! ’
Pray God gives cures for more ailments;
The body’s, mind’s health stands foremost;
The doctor is like you, human.

How Soon Is Now ?

I am the son
And the heir
Of a shyness that is criminally vulgar
I am the son and heir
Of nothing in particular
You shut your mouth
How can you say
I go about things the wrong way ?
I am human and i need to be loved
Just like everybody else does
I am the son
And the heir
Of a shyness that is criminally vulgar
I am the son and heir
Oh, of nothing in particular
You shut your mouth
How can you say
I go about things the wrong way ?
I am human and i need to be loved
Just like everybody else does
Oh ...
Oh ...
There's a club, if you'd like to go
You could meet somebody who really loves you
So you go, and you stand on your own
And you leave on your own
And you go home, and you cry
And you want to die
When you say it's gonna happen "now"
Well, when exactly do you mean ?
See, i've already waited too long
And all my hope is gone
Oh ...
Oh ...
You shut your mouth
How can you say
I go about things the wrong way ?
I am human and i need to be loved
Just like everybody else does
Ok ?

Leave This Man Alone

(Justin Hayward)
Ah, leave this man alone, Ah, leave this man alone
Young girls with long faces come to me at night and stay the night
Why am I so lonely?
Tell me is it right? (Is it right?)
Leave them, leave them, leave them, leave those things alone
Leave them, leave them, leave them, leave those things alone
Someone said I loved you, but I can't think where (I can't think where)
You know so much about me
So don't stand and stare, stand and stare
Leave me, leave me, leave me, leave my mind alone
Leave me, leave me, leave me, leave this man alone
Ah, ah, leave this man alone
Ah, ah, leave this
(Instrumental)
Ah, ah, leave this man alone
Ah, ah, leave this
Someone said I loved you, but I can't think where (I can't think where)
You know so much about me
So don't stand and stare, stand and stare
Leave me, leave me, leave me, leave my mind alone
Leave me, leave me, leave me, leave this man alone
Ah, ah, leave this man alone
Ah, ah, leave this man alone
Ahhhh
