The Clothesline
it tells it all
the real score
my neighbor's house
silent as
a dead rat
at the clothesline
only his brief and
socks
her panties are
no longer there
and the nagging
stopped

Who Am I? 3
Who am I? Who am I?
I don’t know anymore.
Not so long ago I had friends by the score
who were knocking on my door,
but not anymore.
Just the nagging question.
Who am I?
Who am I? Who am I?
I don’t know anymore.
My parents are gone
and my sister does not want to know.
I am left in a limbo
and not sure which way to go
with only a nagging question.
Who am I?
Who am I? Who am I?
My identity is fraught with indecision.
My life is in a whirlpool of dissention.
I am lost in a wilderness
of which there is no escape.
I cannot tell who I am anymore.
All I have is a nagging question in my mind.
Who am I?

3: 02....
the rain finally stops,
soothing silence hushes
until
the main door of the neighbor's house
fronting ours
is banged
the usual drunkard husband
and the nagging wife
midnight, dawn,
banging.

I see these guys, they throw a guy into the ropes and they do a back flip and then clothesline the guy and it looks stupid. Why don't you just clothesline the guy?
This Love Is Real
I can taste your lipstick in the wine
I can feel your heartbeat close to mine
With your love wrapped around me
Im silent and still
I know that this love is real
I have tasted other lips I thought were true
I have looked into the eyes I thought were you
Now touching just to touch
And feeling just to feel
I know that this love is real
Someone should tell our dreams when love is gone
While still in slumber memories linger one
Sometimes I lie awake in bed till dawn
Thinking of you
Now youre gone
Tender is the heart that sleeps in rest
Tender is the hope of tenderness
Love thy neighbor as thyself
And thou shall not steal
I know that this love is real
Love thy neighbor as thyself
And thou shall not steal
I know that this love is real

Do You Care If A Soldier Dies
take a man put him all alone
put him 12000 miles from home
empty his heart of all but blood
make him live in the sand and mud
this is the life I have to live
this is the soul to god I give
you have your parties and drink your beer
while our men are dying over here
do you care if a soldier dies
do you even have to wipe your eyes
when you turn on CNN
tell me whats going through your head
do you know what those numbers mean
one less neighbor from across the street
one less hero silent from our eyes
do you care if a soldier dies
plant your signs on the white house lawn
saying 'Get out of Iraq', were gone
use your signs and have your fun
then refuse to pick up a gun
there's nothing else for you to do
and I'm supposed to die for you
there is one thing you should know
and thats where I think you should do
do you care if a soldier dies
do you even have to wipe your eyes
when you turn on CNN
tell me whats going through your head.
do you know what those numbers mean
one less neighbor from across the street
one less hero silent in our eyes
do you care if a soldier dies
I'll hate you till the day I die
because you made my buddy cry
I saw his leg, and his blood shed
then I heard them say.. this one's dead
it was a large price for him to pay
to let you live another day
he had the guts to fight and die
to keep the freedom you live by
do you care if a soldier dies
do you even have to wipe your eyes
when you turn on CNN
tell me whats going through your head
do you know what those numbers mean
one less neighbor from across the street
one less hero silent from our eyes
do you care if a soldier dies

Somewhere...Somehow...I Lost It
I have suddenly realized I have lost it.
I have lost the joy that was in my life.
When did that happen?
I don't know the exact day...however
as near as I can figure out, it happened
slowly. Ever so slowly...almost unperceptively.
Of course the joy in ones life manifests itself
through that in life that one loves. And so...
mine...my joy, slowly left...as those I love were
no longer in my life. Some of it left, when I
moved...and left behind the drooping willows that
fronted the house I no longer have. The house
where so many beautiful memories were born.
Lots of it left...when the friends of a lifetime
were house in places I no longer went to. It left when
I stopped the ritual of fine dining in places where I
was known by name. It left with scores of doormen,
and servers that I had grow found of.
Most of it...most of my joy, left with family...when came
the day when holidays and other celebrations no longer
was a part of my life.
I miss the joy in my life. I miss all the loved ones
that I shall never see again. Some dead...some
scattered like leaves in the wind, to the far
corners of the earth.
As I grow older, faded memories of joy become less
vivid. Until...a day like today...when something
..or someone reminds me...
Of Lost Joy...And Fading Memories.

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock
My neighbor plays Guitar Hero III and he has lots of fans.
He's better at it than other people, nobody can play it like he can.
He loves this game and he jams everyday.
He gets the highest score every time he plays.
This is the only game he plays and it really rocks.
He can't put his guitar down, he's king of the XBOX.
Sometimes it gets on his parents nerves because it's pretty loud.
Lots of people come to see it, he always draws a crowd.
People love this game because it's loads of fun.
Nobody can beat my neighbor's score because he's number one.

The Nagging Wife Won The Prize
There was a news from New Zealand,
about a nagging wife and a hesitant husband.
The wife was nagging her husband to buy a lottery ticket,
who was reluctant and hesitant,
postponing until 2 minutes before the sale closed.
The ticket won the prize.....the highest and the most.
It was about 4.2 millions NZ dollars.
They could'nt be happier.
The husband thanks his nagging wife,
for the rest of his life,
because the nagging has its bright side,
making them millionaire overnight.
Old Comrades
Many of my old comrades in arms, are now long dead,
Names written in my memories and stories no longer said,
At association meetings where memories are fading fast,
And I sometimes wonder, how much longer these good times will last.
I'm sorry to even say this but soon enough I too will be dead,
And you will too and it might even be you first, instead,
We just don't know the score, the when, the where or the why,
But we have no death-with-dignity when we lie down to die.
But we do have democracy, they often announce,
While binding referendums is something else they denounce,
We just have no political influence where it should count,
And if we do, it's a small insignificant amount.

Panties Wanted
Check the tracklist
You're gonna get it
I'm energetic and unprotected
And if you diss me
You will regret it
When I'm bouncing, I'm like a rabbit
See a punchbag, I wanna grab it
Yes my D.J., you got the real s**t
OK ,OK,OK,
this song is dedicated to all rocker chicks
in the house
we want you now
to take off
your bras and your panties
throw them all onto the stage
and do it now!

Almost in the Quicksand
I could not love you,
a woman whose love
issued from her clothing
like the fetor of dirty socks,
a love
learned from another man
whose love was silk
and hung on every clothesline,
a man whose heart
was hiding in the paperbacks
under his bed,
no, I could not love
you whose love
beckoned like quicksand,
I might have been
too far under
when I realized
he still had his hands on you

I'll Start My Day Again
wake up
take my rubber shoes
wear my socks
take coffee
open the door
close it back
walk the dog
meet the sun
feel the wind
glance at the flowers
along the road
and the school garden
it is the start of my day
and everyday
it goes this way
sometimes i stop
at the middle of my walk
and ask
which way is it to the end?
it is in the mind
and my neighbor
on his jogging attire
sweating it out
for longer life
greets me: good morning!

Neighbor, Neighbor
Neighbor, neighbor, why you messin in my life?
Neighbor, neighbor, youve been talkin to my wife,
Tellin her you seen me
Runnin wild the other night,
Runnin wild the other night.
A neighbor, neighbor, theress always one in every crowd.
A neighbor, neighbor, tellin lies and talkin loud.
You better watch your step now.
You might fall off your cloud.
You might fall off your cloud.
Now I was walking down a dusty road
When along came a neighbor of mine.
He saw me walkin with my head hung down,
He just had to stop and pass the time.
Neighbor, neighbor, floatin in the salty brine.
Floatin in the salty brine.

After School Tea.
Mother said
you were to go back
to Mrs Clark's house
for tea after school
and she would pick
you up later
after work
and so when
the bell went
for the end
of the school day
you went with Mrs Clark
and her daughter Helen
for tea and Mrs Clark
talked all the way
to her house
her words rough
as hewn stones
going over your head
to which you just nodded
or shook your head
and when you arrived
at the house
which smelt
of past dinners
and washing drying
and the baby's nappies
she said
What would you like for tea?
Bread and butter
bread jam
bread and Bovril
or dripping?
and how about
a large mug of tea?
Helen said
I'm having bread and jam
and a mug of tea
why don't you too?
you said
Yes that will be fine
and shyly sat in a chair
by the window
looking out
at the backyard
where washing hung
on a clothesline
and an old doll's pram
sat rusting by a wall
and Helen came
and sat next to you
in her grey skirt
and off white blouse
and swung her legs
back and forth
under the chair
her white ankle socks
and black scuffed shoes
coming in
and going out
of view
and she said
After tea
I'll show you my dolls
and the doll's house
my daddy made
out of orange boxes
and as Mrs Clark
made the tea
you sensed Helen's small hand
run along your arm
which set alarm bells ringing
in your head
and a sweating in your palm.
