The Circuitous Route Of Existence
i should have stopped
a long time ago, i should have ceased
like a light feeding upon itself
a candle eating all its
body of wax,
i should have done it earlier, quit and leave
and not look back,
i never did it, and there must be a reason
an explanation for this addiction,
a justification for moving on,
i am not saying that it is you,
neither myself,
perhaps it is this emptiness that is seeking
fullness
this fullness that empties itself because it is not at comfortable
when things are heavy
on a journey,
perhaps it is a circle,
and there is no knowing where to start where to end
nothing marked,
all the same, dance of life, monotonous, consuming,
and yet never knowing....

searching for clarity
the best of which is an empty slate
that which we mistake sometimes
for clarity actually is one that contains nothing
as though
emptiness is one of those that has
nothing inside it
as though when things are in their fullness
like a flower in full bloom
as though
fullness is mess and must be
avoided
as though fullness is pain and emptiness
is unloading and must heretofore
be marked as the
ballroom
happiness so to speak
messy is noise and the empty window is clear
but the pool of water without the disturbance of the wind
is full and yet
mirrors some clarifications
that you can see your face unadulterated by grief
undiluted by any dropp of lamentation
one dives farther to see what is real and perhaps
sleep for a while
drowsiness of reality
illusion is a little bit tipsy because of so much thoughts
unthink, undream,
unmind.

Remember The Jar In The Yard Praying To The Moon
if you remember me
you must remember too the
empty earthen jar
places at the middle of
the garden
it has no water
it has only air
but the flowers in the garden
adore its
invisible fullness
even when it rains
it feels the emptiness
of the waters
and even when the sun shines
all day
it fills the fullness
of the light
for in truth
there is always reason
for one
who never ceases to live
to crave for
even, death, to know
the beauty of
what is there
and is there not.

Time For Light Away From The Shadows And Dark Corners
it is time for light
shine, shine
and take away the little dark corners
drive away the shadows
on the fullness of your day
and then we will dance
and sing and make merry
under the fullness of your grace
and your loving warmth
come light, come
take away everything
that we are not
and we are not supposed to be
come light, come
light our paths so we will see
the truth
that as children of God
we are meant to be happy.

Hand Me Downs
Ive taken so many down
Ive helped them all to dismount
Ive followed so many down
I take their hand me downs
All with hope
All with hope
That emptiness brings fullness
And loss of love brings wholeness
All with hope
All with hope
That emptiness brings fullness
And loss of love brings wholeness
To us all
Everything that I believe
Crawls from underneath the streets
Everything I truly love
Comes from somewhere far above
Everything that I believe
Is wrong with you is wrong with me
Everything I truly love
I love in you and I love in me
So give me hope
Give me hope
That emptiness brings fullness
And loss of love brings wholeness
To us all
You swear you cant swim the river
(Ive become the beggar now)
(youve become the saint somehow)
But I saw you running to jump in
(Ive become the beggar now)
(youve become the saint somehow)
I swore Id never be your sinner
(Ive become the beggar now)
(youve become the saint somehow)
Til I held your sin
Hand me downs
Now you ask me why Im here
The same as you
Im scared - its fear
Ive become the beggar now
And youve become the saint somehow
Twist the words and place the blame
And tell me now arent we the same
Tripping in our yellow feet
Checking underneath our sheets
For some hope
Give me hope
That emptiness brings fullness
And loss of love brings wholeness
Give me hope
Give me hope
That emptiness brings fullness
And loss of love brings wholeness
To us all

Knowing Me, Knowing You
No more carefree laughter
Silence ever after
Walking through an empty house, tears in my eyes
Here is where the story ends, this is goodbye
Knowing me, knowing you (ah-haa)
There is nothing we can do
Knowing me, knowing you (ah-haa)
We just have to face it, this time were through
(this time were through, this time were through
This time were through, were really through)
Breaking up is never easy, I know but I have to go
(I have to go this time
I have to go, this time I know)
Knowing me, knowing you
Its the best I can do
Memries (memries), good days (good days), bad days (bad days)
Theyll be (theyll be), with me (with me) always (always)
In these old familiar rooms children would play
Now theres only emptiness, nothing to say
Knowing me, knowing you (ah-haa)
There is nothing we can do
Knowing me, knowing you (ah-haa)
We just have to face it, this time were through
(this time were through, this time were through
This time were through, were really through)
Breaking up is never easy, I know but I have to go
(I have to go this time
I have to go, this time I know)
Knowing me, knowing you
Its the best I can do

New years Eve Dance
This new years eve
I willl dance
With the hands of time
For I know her moves
For we have danced
From time to time
She going forward
While me looking back
Both knowing no future
Till it has come to pass
Oh how funny we look
As we glide across the floor
Never knowing where we'll end up
When the dance is no more
Will it leave me a better man
Or a mess for all to see
All I know for certain
That there's a dance
Waiting somewhere for me
To hold it so very close
For a moment it may only be
But sometimes my friend
Those moments last
For an eternity

(Hope Poem) Clinging On To The Last Bit Of Hope
Writing The Next Chapter,
Always The Next Chapter.
Clinging To The Last Bit Of Hope Knowing It Will Have To Due.
Know The Very Next Day Is Another Follow Through.
Where Is That Day Of Rest?
Where Is That Day Of Success?
A Life Full Of Emptiness.
Completely Monotonous.
Like A Soldier I Keep Putting One Foot In Front Of Next.
I Harbor No I'll Will Or Regret.
But I'm Still Getting Tired Of The Next.
Writing The Next Chapter,
Always The Next Chapter.
Clinging To The Last Bit Of Hope Knowing It Have To Due.
Knowing The End Is Far Beyond My Reach.
Even With All I Got It Means little To Nothing.
Materialistic Is So Unrealistic.
The More You Take The More You Got To Pay.
Maybe Sometime
But For Now I'm Just So Tired Of Next.
Writing The Next Chapter,
Always The Next Chapter.
Clinging To The Last Bit Of Hope Knowing It Will Have To Due.
Take Some Anti Depressants To Spread It Out.
Just Got Make It Again And Again.
Like A Constant Buzzing In My Ear That Just Won't Go Away.
It's Giving Me A Headache.
Think Soon I Just Might Break.
Like An Earthquake Everything Is Starting To Tremble And Shake.
I'm So Tired Of The Next,
But Still I'm Writing The Next Chapter.
Always The Next Chapter.
Clinging On The Last Bit Of Hope Knowing It Will Have Due.
I'm Holding On As Long As Can.
But Slowly I Feeling Less And Less Like A Man.
Just Another Weakling.
And Here Comes The Next,
Oh The Next,
THE VERY NEXT.

Purity
Life of my life, I shall ever try to keep my body pure, knowing
that thy living touch is upon all my limbs.
I shall ever try to keep all untruths out from my thoughts, knowing
that thou art that truth which has kindled the light of reason in my mind.
I shall ever try to drive all evils away from my heart and keep my
love in flower, knowing that thou hast thy seat in the inmost shrine of my heart.
And it shall be my endeavour to reveal thee in my actions, knowing it
is thy power gives me strength to act.

When It Hurts The Least
I will leave you with tears crawling down my face
I will leave and it will feel like moving to hell from grace
I will leave because i cannot bear your distance
I will leave because life just wont give us a chance
I will leave knowing i have done everything i could do
I will leave owning nothing but our memories and your photo
I will leave with the last bit of pride left in me
I will leave but first i will unlock my heart and set you free
I will leave and it will tear me apart not looking back
I will leave, wave goodbye and my life will slowly turn black
I will leave knowing i was the luckiest victim of your love
I will leave missing every kiss and touch and all i can no longer have
I will leave but i hope you know i am compelled to
I will leave but i will be devistated as i worshiped you
I will leave though it hurts like mad to be forbidden from your sight
I will leave but your lost reply will kill me when i summon you every night

Sigh Of The Returnee
it is not the fullness that
overflows
it is the emptiness
of the house when you arrive
when the door that feigns the abundance within the room
finally surrenders
to the brokenness of the hinges
it is the fullness that spreads
too quickly like an ink of the squid
from the previous paths
of its escapades
from the threats of the predating ell
it is the silence that fills
the nothingness that sings
the unmoving furniture dressed in dust
the tempura that is left uneaten
and now
filled with
molds.

Road Song, For Smoky
it is not the destination,
it is the journey.
it is not the knowing,
it is the questioning.
it is not the finding,
it is the seeking.
it is not knowing God,
it is knowing oneself.
it is not the attainment,
it is the giving...
it is not the holy,
it is a child's dirty face.
it is not the living,
it is the dying....
for in each tiny death
a new universe is born.

O death!
O death!
Thou great leveller
Of titles before a name,
Of degrees after a name
Of wealth and of poverty
O death!
No hearing or seeing
No tasting or smelling
No feeling or thinking
No suffering or celebrating
O death!
No body or soul
A spirit-filled life
A life of knowing in a different way
A life of relating in a different way
O death!
No life as we know it
No space as we know it
No time as we know it
But life experienced in all its fullness.
O death!
O death, where is thy victory?
O death, where is thy sting?
From being deciduous
We’ve become evergreen.

Only myself in a crowded street
Only myself walking down the crowded street,
Everyone around me like statues in a park.
Here’s a car waiting to turn,
There’s an old man feeding the birds.
I can picture what there doing,
But their only paused.
As though the video is stopped,
They just stand there waiting for it to play.
This strange new world where all time has stopped,
Why have I been brought to this odd dimension?
Only I can move back and forth,
Only I can reach out and feel their stone cold hands.
Many questions left unanswered,
And no one there to ask.
Desperately I search,
For any sign of life.
Then strangely I see,
A little insect fly.
As though in this despair,
There is something there besides myself.
I follow the butterfly,
As though it is my one last hope.
It lands on a head,
Of one of these statue-like beings.
And suddenly they start moving,
As though given life.
The little flying insect,
Skips from one to another.
Each and every one that the butterfly touches,
Starts moving in their step.
Each action that I pictured,
Becomes real before my eyes.
Then the little butterfly flies,
Back into the sky.
Never to be seen again,
Or so I thought that day.
Then after years gone by,
And I turned old and fragile.
Laying in my bed,
Looking up into the sky.
I saw the little butterfly,
Fly down to where I lay.
Landed by my ear,
And softly spoke to me.
“It is time for you to leave, ”
Said the little butterfly.
“I’ll bring you to a place,
That will give you life once more.”
Then the little butterfly,
Flew onto my forehead.
And flew off to another stone planet,
Leaving my body statue-like.

Without fullness of experience, length of days is nothing. When fullness of life has been achieved, shortness of days is nothing. That is perhaps why the young have usually so little fear of death; they live by intensities that the elderly have forgotten.

Full of an Emptiness
I am full of an emptiness,
Which empties me of my fullness.
I am feeding my starving ego,
While never nourishing my soul which can always be satisfied.
The spirit never ends but I try to tempt it with things that do.
Earthly pleasures, to find heavenly treasures?
Money, power and control do not fill me up.
I always want more.
I can never get enough.
Love, joy and peace.
I have none.
Yet it is all I truly need.
It is only this that will fill me up.
My spirit is allergic to the things of this world.
Yet my mind tells me to feast on more,
My mind is the starving pig.
Feasting on the droppings of the world.
And so I eat from the bottom, which is the world.
My living Hell.
Earth is chaos, Heaven is peace.
I look up and see an endless sky.
These are my possibilities should I follow the spirit.
I look to the ground and see how far is the fall.
But it is only once I have fallen, and hit the ground.
That I can get back up.
Rise above my circumstances.
Rise above the pleasures.
To seek and pursue the treasures.
That were promised to all.
Even before my time here.
If I get, what I give.
And what I give is nothing,
It is nothing I will get back in the end.
So why do I keep giving only what I can take?
Am I giving of things that have a beginning and an ending?
Or do I give what is endless?
The anger I feel because I thought someone was stealing from me,
Is really what I simply robbed myself of in the first place.
Peace, joy and love.
It is mine to share.
For if I share it,
It can never be stolen from me.
In the end, it is only my legacy I leave behind.
Money will be spent.
Power will run out.
Control will be lost.
To be without money is to be broke.
I am broken.
To be without power is to be powerless.
I am powerless.
If I get what I give, then I am what I am.
If I am control, then I am controlled and controlling
If I am peace, then I am peaceful
If I am joy, then I am joyous
If I am love, then I am loving and loved.
That is all I ever wanted and ever needed in the first place.

How Much Better
I know God and God knows me, how much better could life be,
To know The God of Eternity, The One in control of my destiny,
Having a relationship with His Son, my Lord, as all is said done,
Knowing personally Jesus Christ, God will afford me eternal life.
Knowing the God of creation, He leads you on your destination,
With a path marked out for you, which He shall see you through,
Not alone in this life, instead, He’s planned your path well ahead,
And you’ll be led in this life, by the Great Shepherd Jesus Christ.
The One who’s with us all the way, never leaving us night or day,
When in God’s Spirit, we abide, Christ is there, right by our side,
God’s even near when we stray, as Christ’s Spirit is here to stay,
Dwelling in our hearts endlessly, until that time we reach Eternity.
Knowing there’s nothing we will face, without our Savior’s Grace,
Grace sufficient through anything, knowing Christ is Eternal King,
The One who sustains all we know, goes with us wherever we go,
Whether times are bad or good, He is with us, that’s understood.
Christ from me, shall not depart, as His Spirit dwells in my heart,
And Christ gave His Peace to me, so I could live life abundantly,
As I journey upon life’s byways, God fills me with joy and praise,
Knowing my way, He won’t forget, how much better could it get?

Time Of Revelation
(moving to a fantasy world)
Wont you take
A chance my brother
Follow me to a time of revelation
Cant you see that
Destiny will take a turn
And show you
Theres no need to fight
cause you know its right
And I finally see where Im going
I finally know what Im knowing
Now our journeys only just begun
You wont need to ask forgiveness
What you find
Will be your inspiration
You dont have to pray for glory
All is equal, no more pain
You know its true, its up to you
cause I finally see where Im going
I finally know what Im knowing
Now our journeys only just begun
Over the bridge
Where you start to believe
Down at the edge of the rainbow
Dark is the night
But weve seen another time
Follow the light of the shadow
Right or wrong, there is no reason
There will be no hidden destination
With the strength that you discover
You can show the way
How it was meant to be
For all to see
cause I finally know
What Im knowing
I finally see where Im going
Now our journeys only just begun

Life On A Rock
What's the point for me leaving this rock
Out there it's too cold
Over there it's too hot
I don't want to be so comfortable in this sad spot
But when I look in the mirror
I see it's all I got
I can reach for the left
Or strive for the right
But I'm left handed never knowing what's right
Do I enjoy my life
Or turn it to a fight?
Can you enjoy life
If there's no reason to fight
Surrounded by dark with just a little bit of light
Seems it's time to start a fire if you want it burning bright

I Have Gone Long, Long Time
I have gone long, long time
Not knowing where to find you-
Peace was never meant for me,
Only heartache and tears-
I have gone long, long time
Without you, darling,
Losing hope that we'll ever
Be together,
But I walked alone and stayed
The course-
I have gone long, long time
Thinking of you, knowing
It was you who would be
There in the end-
The light that would lead me
Back home.
I have gone long, long time
Loving you and missing you,
Knowing well that the path
Would be winding and filled
With pain.
I have gone long, long time
Through the rivers of solitude,
Through the nights of despair,
Through the crowds of anonymity-
Just to hear your voice crystal clear,
Just to touch your lips and feel
The warmth of your hands,
Embracing me.
I have gone long, long time
Through the hills of pain
And the deserts of banality,
Through the corridors filled
With empty laughter and ignorance.
I have gone long, long time
Just to tell you I love you, darling.
